we were shown a spirit of wisdom turning into a pride demon in dai, but i also would like to see alternative outcome, a wisdom spirit who was turned into a despair demon bcos of all the people searching for knowledge to solve their difficult situation and finding no hope at all. in general i tend to think that there would be a lot of despair demons being drawn to the circle towers, but this type of particular - it was meant to be a school and a sanctuary of knowledge, but in reality it's a prison with no escape (bcos even if you do escape they'll find you anyway thanks to the blood magic that is illegal to anyone but the templars).

Chapter 3: Despair
So Cassandra was 15 when she was put through her Vigil at the Seeker’s hands. She spent months like that, purged of all emotion until finally Faith found her and her Tranquility broke. That’s not my twisted mind torturing her, that’s all canon.
Faith has Fallen to Despair. And she was a child when she was made Tranquil. She hasn’t been alone yet in her entire adult life. Killing the demon would render her Tranquil again. But leaving the demon where it is would be just as bad, Cassandra twisting into an Abomination of Despair.
There must be a third option. But the Inquisitor can’t be the one to take that step. This isn’t his demon. It’s hers. She has to be the one to save her own demon.

Thinking about how these men would actually be so obsessed and mesmerized by how you look that they just have to record and praise you.
They'll tell you just how pretty you are while also pushing up your skirt, showing the camera your pretty panties while pointing out the wet spot in the middle of them.
They'd push open your legs and tease you through your panties, focusing the camera on your clothed cunt. They'll move their hand up your body, camera following, as they squeeze and grab at your tits.
They'll ask you to take your shirt off while they push your panties aside, one of their fingers playing with your clit. They'd move the camera to focus on your face,
"Such a pretty girl..pretty, pretty, pretty.." They'd mumble, free hand moving back up your body and caressing your face. They'd run their thumb against your bottom lip and tell you to open up for them. You'd take their thumb in your mouth, sucking on it while making eye contact with them through the camera.
Their eyes would dilate and their jaw would go slack. You're just so fucking pretty.
"Wanna put on a show? Wanna show 'em how you suck on cock?"
You'd smile and pull their pants and boxer briefs down in one pull, taking their hard cock in your mouth.
Their moans can be heard clearly in the video. Their hand moved to the back of your head, just resting on top while they watched as you took him in your mouth like the good girl you are.
In all honesty, it didn't take him long before he cumming down your throat and all over your face.
The way you look up at him while sucking on his cock, and the way you give a little smile while doing so just ruins him. You make him weak.
You looked up at him, making eye contact, but not through the camera, no, over it. You look up at him with his cum decorating your face and tongue.
He stopped the recording and threw the camera on the bed. His hand wrapped around your throat and he pulled you in for a sloppy kiss. He tasted his cum that sat on your tongue, some of the cum that was on your face spread on his. He loves when you look so messy, face covered in his cum.
"Such a fucking pretty girl."

Souda TRIED to be cool
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like it when people paint them as two teenage idiots who both don't understand a damn thing about how to behave with each other, because that's what they are
But at the same time they are still trying to be cool
I fucking adore Soudams, they are worth each other

I beg the forces superior to mine to free this evil spirit (montresor) and take it back to the darkness (six feet under the ground where he never should have left) and allow him to rest in peace (in the deepest places of hell being tortured for eternity)

Sloth vs Despair demon
So I'm cleaning out my drafts and I found this post deep in my drafts. But I did a poll back in June about favorite demons in Dragon Age. In the tags I saw these:
#also I feel sloth shouldn't be on here #its the same as despair #if you read the codex entry it says they were reclassified
I really wanted to talk about sloth and despair cause it was an interesting take for me. I never read the despair demon codex saying that it was a reclassification of all sloth demons, but that it (the despair demon) was a subgroup being elevated to its own specific group. Like how we've had plants and animals that got classified as their own species when they learned more about anatomy, structure, or behaviors.
But the TLDR is that sloth demons are still a thing in the Dragon Age universe, they are mentioned in World of Thedas Volume 1 (WOT v. 1) which was published in 2013 and was a byproduct of BioWare putting together their internalized wiki and updating their lore (a project they started in 2011 post DA2 release). It was also stated by David Gaider prior to Inquisition that despair demons were another "group" of demon. That the other "groups" such as: despair, envy, fear, and remorse, weren't mentioned prior because they didn't want to talk about demons they didn't show. He also specifically calls out despair demons being a new "type".
In regards to in world lore, the difference between sloth and despair demons is what they feed on: sloth feeds on the doubt, apathy, and entropy of a person while despair demons feed on despair. Another difference is the fact that despair demons actually create despair while sloths do not create sloth. Despair demons are named after what they make and feed while sloth is named only for what they feed on.
Which seem to be common differences between demons. They are either named for the trait they feed on, the trait they create, or both. Another example of this is envy, a demon that is named not because it seeks out those who are envious, a person doesn't have to be envious of another for them to attract envy. In fact, they have to have status, power, or influence that makes the demon itself is envious.
Lore about both demons:
For sloth demons we see mention of them in World of Thedas Volume 1 (WOT v. 1), which was published in 2013 and a by product of BioWare actually putting together an internalized wiki and updating their lore. You can find mention of the sloth demon under the bestiary section and again under the possessed creatures with corpses.
Sloth demons are themselves not slothful - they are so named because they feed upon the slothful recesses of the psyche: doubt, apathy, and entropy. A sloth demon weakens, tires, and tears at the edges of consciousness and would much rather render its victims helpless than engage in true conflict. Sloth demons can disguise their appearance outside the Fade so as to more covertly spread their influence. It is said that they can influence entire groups of people. A community afflicted by a demon of sloth could soon become a dilapidated pit where injustices are allowed to pass without comment and none of the residents are aware a change has even occurred.
-- World of Thedas: Volume 1 p. 170
A dead body may be possessed by a demon. Generally, weaker demons posses corpses or skeletons, unable to tell the difference between the living and the dead. The possessed corpse may act differently depending on the kind of demon that has possessed it: Corpses possessed by rage demons attack residents of the walking world mindlessly. Corpses possessed by sloth demons weaken and fatigue their prey. Those held by hunger demons feed upon the living.
-- World of Thedas: Volume 1 p. 171
At one point there was even suppose to be an encounter with a sloth demon in Inquisition. Something I recently learned while working on something else.
Then, in regards to the despair demon, it is not only mentioned in the codex, below but is also mentioned in World of Thedas Volume 2 (WOT v. 2) bestiary. WOT v. 2 was published in 2015, so it is as up to date as the first volume.
Codex: Despair Demon Once upon a time, we classified these as demons of sloth, but we learned that despair demons are something quite different. They are not the antithesis of justice or valor, but rather of hope. They form nightmares tearing away the foundations of self and purpose. When brought into the world, they are most attracted to places the downtrodden populate: alienages, slums, prisons, and the like. The miasma they spread can lead to extreme behavior. We look for a rash of unexplained suicides, men and women so filled with grief they lash out. The most intelligent of these creatures are to be feared, for they not only feed on despair, they understand its causes… and seek to bring it about. From the shadows they ruin lives, drinking the tears of those who have no idea the cause of their misery is not random chance. —From a lecture by renowned hunter, Ser Hayward of the Templar Order
A young girl wrapped in rags. An old woman trying desperately to shield herself from the cold. Who wouldn't want to help these poor creatures? When someone gets close enough, the despair demon envelops a victim in a cloak of ice and unleashes torrential frozen gales. These demons not only feed on despair but cause it.
-- World of Thedas: Volume 2 p. 297
I want to say, it does make sense that despair demons would be mistaken for sloth demons, given the societal interpretation of what despair manifests. How symptoms of hopelessness/depression will manifest behaviors of apathy and doubt, even entropy - a state of disorder, lack of energy, decline in cognitive functions in some people.
But those in Thedas realized that despair demons actually create despair and seek out environments where they can foster such things, which is in stark contrast to sloth demons who only feed on those three aspects of the psyche and so they seek out environments where sloth already exists in people but the demon doesn't actually create/bring out sloth in people.
