i just remembered an anti destiel post i saw circa nov 2020 that was something like ohhh destihellers live in an echo chamber and i still think about it. i love my echo chamber buddies

This fandom raised over 70k for The Castiel Project because we were angry that they killed off Cas.

Not to mention other charities donated to in honor of other characters.

Yet the network was never able to make a profit.

When you look at these two facts… it seems very obvious to me how the CoWards could have ended up making money.

On Nov 5, 2020, Destiel going canon trended on Twitter higher than the US election, for Christ’s sake.

I hope they got a refund on their market research, because obviously whoever did it, did a piss poor job.

I personally bought the Destiel socks and the Destiheller tshirt from Stands. And if they had more Destiel stuff, I’d buy that too.

And if C/W hadn’t been afraid to make a gay relationship canon on their network and sold merch, guess what? I’d want to buy that too. All of it would be on my wishlist for people to buy me.

But, they didn’t.

Cas confessed his love for Dean Winchester, where gay love pierced the veil and saved the day (a line direct from their own show) and they tried to back pedal that love confession and leave it “open to interpretation” and deny it happened.

This boggles my kind.

But at the end of the day, you know what?
