thinking about nines just finding any excuse to have his hands on gavin- he looks relatively tired? piggyback.

it’s cold? he’s huddled up to gavin, elbows linked.

his hair is mused with sleep? he’s brushing through loose curls with careful fingers and flattening the sides for him at the kitchen counter while gavin nurses a mug of coffee.

working over lunch at the DPD? (pre-absolution) nines is thumb-swiping crumbs from the corners of gavin’s mouth, despite gavin’s “disgruntled” whining and shoving at his hands.

they’re swimming over the summer? nines is armed with a bottle of sunscreen and nagging him about it until gavin caves and lets his lover rub the lotion into scarred, slightly freckled shoulders and as a result, gently rouse a now half asleep gavin, basking in the sun and nine’s caring touch.

All rise for the return of my wallpaper making phase.

So I recently got back into my Detroit: Become Human hyperfixation via an amazing fan made film called Detroit Evolution and it's mini-sequel Detroit Reawakening by Octopunk Media. Let me tell you, I am blown away by it. The writing is beautiful, the acting incredible, and the effects aren't half bad.

But it also brings us to something I've always wanted to talk about; asexual and trauma representation in media. Asexuality is barely even touched and trauma is so heavily sexualized that you can't talk about the reality of trauma. This movie is so real for how it approaches both of these things, and I love it.

Thank you to all all the cast that represented us, to the crew for their hard work, and to Octopunk itself for being so inclusive.

I prefer the idea that rA9 is just something that androids came up with to find comfort and hope in, like humans can do with religion, but I also find it really interesting that markus kinda fits the bill with him freeing androids and all the religious imagery he’s associated with (both in canon and def in the fandom too) but I like the idea that kara is rA9 even more since I think its really interesting that she probably is the very same android that deviated right when she was created and that fits so well with what luther says about rA9 being the first android to awaken, even if kara has lost all her memories of that
