Once Upon A Dream

Summary: Silver X Prefect

Ever since Silver could travel through dreams, he was in Yuu’s dreams. Somehow, someway, he went in dreams across dimensions! But for the last 2 years, he couldn’t find Yuu’s dreams. He searched and searched then finally after Yuu arrived in Twisted Wonderland, he found them once again; once upon a dream.

During a nightmare of a past thing that happened to them that they did not want to happen but they had no choice. Or their life and career would’ve been in danger. Yuu is crying in his nightmare whilst the scene is going on but soon the man who was doing the awful things to them stopped and looked around confusedly. Then he was gone and a familiar shadow with a blade showed up and went over to Yuu. He held their face carefully in his hands and carefully wiped the tears away, “Wake up Yuu, he won’t hurt you any more… I have finally found you again…” he kissed Yuu’s head and the next thing Yuu knew is they woke up and they were in Ramshackle with Grim snoring curled up next to them on their pillow and the moonlight shining bright through the curtains. Yuu sat up and felt their face, tears. They looked at the clock, it read 3 in the morning. They curled up in the bed again and held Grim close to themself, getting a small groan from him in return and waking him up. “Hey, what gives?!” Grim asked angrily but Yuu started to cry more and Grim quieted down and said, “Oh… a nightmare, poor hench human…” he curled up in Yuu’s arms and wiped their tears.

The next morning, Yuu was walking to class with Grim in their arms and Ace and Deuce following them to class A. They were all talking to each other until a boy with silver hair and purple eyes walked by. Yuu and him caught a glance of each other but he was pulled away by a small man and yelled at by a large boy. While Ace and Deuce looked at them and Ace asked, “Whatcha lookin’ at, Yuu?” Grim reached up and patted Yuu’s cheeks, “Twisted Wonderland to hench-human!” Deuce tapped Yuu’s shoulder, “Uh, Yuu… we’re going to be late for class. Professor Crewel will be livid if we are!” Yuu looked over, “Huh? Oh like, sorry! I kinda saw someone I recognized from my dreams.” Ace raised a brow, “Dreams?” He asked. Yuu laughed a bit and turned around to continue onward to Class A. “I know it sounds kinda weird but like, ever since I was a child, I’ve been having these dreams of this boy with silver hair and purple eyes. He grew up alongside me. We chatted and played and we danced; but once I came here, I stopped seeing him until last night. He appeared in my dream again and saved me from a nightmare. He told me, ‘I finally found you again’ like he’s been looking for me.” Deuce awed and Ace said, “Oh so you’ve been seeing this guy (you most likely grew to have a crush on) in your dreams like the one peasant girl in the stories. She had met a man she loved ‘once upon a dream’ and fell in love with him especially when she finally physically saw him.” Deuce arched a brow, “How do you know about all these stories?” Ace grinned, “I don’t know how you don’t know them but my brother and uncle read them to me when I was a child, a whole story book full of them. They were really nice stories, honestly.” He said and Deuce nodded, “Okay cool, my mom was really busy when I was a kid so I didn’t really have anyone to read stories to me a lot, you know?” Yuu clocked out of the conversation and looked behind themself as Grim jumped out of their arms and onto Ace’s shoulders, seemingly talking with the two as well. Yuu paused in the hallway and muttered to themself, “Who was that boy I saw? Was it him..? No, it can’t be…” Ace looked back and laughed a bit with Deuce and Grim. Ace then called, “Yuu, if you keep stoppin’, we’ll leave ya behind!” Yuu looked back and scoffed, “No you don’t! Jackasses!” They said and they ran to catch up with them.

With the silver haired boy, in class A, before Yuu, Grim, Ace and Deuce arrive, he’s staring out the window, slightly dozing and Crewel comes over and he taps his knuckles on the table where Silver is, “Silver, are you about to fall asleep? Stand up and do some stretches.” Silver nodded and did so. Once Yuu, Grim, Ace and Deuce enter the classroom, he stops stretching and looks at them, specifically Yuu. His mouth went slightly agape but he shook his head, “Is that… no, it can’t be.” He says to himself, “Though I could finally enter their dreams again last night, I don’t know if that’s them or not… oh crap! They're looking at me!” He blushed in embarrassment for being caught staring and he looked away, taking his seat again.

After homeroom and a bunch of classes, Silver went to a field nearby the school and sat under his favorite tree, reading a book to study a bit. The air was clear and warm as the wind lightly blew that he soon fell asleep under the tree only to get picked up and brought to the bedroom he shared with Sebek by Sebek. He woke up with a start and looked around where he was. There was a note on his night table written by Sebek, saying, ‘Found you under the tree sleeping, stop being idiotic and sleeping in places where you could easily get sick!’ Silver rolled his eyes, picked up the paper and crumpled it then he threw it in the trash, “Whatever Sebek… jeez.” He left the bedroom and went to the Diasomnia lounge where Lilia was sitting and reading. “Um, hey father.” Lilia looked up from his book, “Oh hello Silver, glad to see you woke up and are still well! Sebek was so upset that you were sleeping outside, he was grumbling to himself about you, ‘at least being a blanket next time’. It was kind of cute to be honest.” He laughed a bit then he asked, “What is it you need, son?” He asked. Silver sighed and sat beside Lilia, “You know that person I went inside the dreams of since I gained my special ability?” “Your crush, yes.” Silver blushed and Lilia hummed with a smile and said, “What about them?” “I think I found them, I know I did in my dreams but I think I found them here… at Night Raven. Running around with that one dire beast and the two freshmen from Heartslabyul.” Lilia got a little excited and he clapped a bit, “Well that’s amazing, isn’t it? What are you trying to say, go and talk to them. If they’re not the one from your dreams, you could just gain a friend.” He said and Silver sighed, “Father… I don’t know what to say to them that won’t make me sound crazy or stalkerish…” Lilia shook his head, “Go to them boy, you know they’re at Ramshackle if they’re with Grim all the time, Crowley did have them stay there. They’re Yuu from freshman orientation this year, aren’t they? You’ve bumped into them once or twice, just go and ask them if you’ve seen them before they arrived, if they say not that they remember, apologize and just move on to something else, you’re not just going to ruin your reputation with them like that—” he snapped his fingers. “—besides, gain yourself a friend, you’re a sophomore and you have a lack of friends; no Branwen, Aspen, Malleus, Sebek and I are not your friends, we’re your family. Now go, I’ll tell Malleus you went to Ramshackle, okay?” Lilia put a finger at his smirking lips, winked and then he stood and kissed Silver’s forehead, “Goodnight, Silver.” He left the lounge. Silver sighed and stared at the fire in the fireplace for a moment as it flickered and crackled. Then he got up, left the dorm and went toward Ramshackle.

Yuu was getting ready for bed in their window and listening to music on the radio in Ramshackle. Silver looked up at the window and sighed in content. Then realized he was being creepy so he instead hid behind the tree he was at then he heard someone muttering a hex of sorts crouched behind another tree. He took out his sword and aimed it at them, they screamed and held their hands up in universal surrender, “Who are you and what are you doing outside Yuu’s house?!” The boy he’s aiming his sword point at stuttered in his speech, “Kon-Konstantin Moiraío! Ignihyde freshman!” He whimpered. Silver got closer to Konstantin’s face and said threateningly, “You better leave this yard or this sword is going through you!” Konstantin ran off then Silver put his sword away and went up to the door of Ramshackle, he knocked on it.

Yuu could be heard on the other side of the door, “Coming!” They opened the door and stood on the other side of it in a robe, “Why are you knocking on my door so late at night—” they cut themselves off when they saw Silver, “Um… hey, my name is Silver, I’m a sophomore of Diasomnia; I’m sorry for bugging you late tonight but I’ve seen you in the halls and recognized you from a time before we were at this school, I was told by my father that I should just talk to you about it tonight.” Yuu blushed a bit, “I um… that’s kinda weird talking about it tonight, have you not thought to talk to me in school? You are in my homeroom class.” Silver blushed a bit in embarrassment, “Yeah… I don’t know why Lilia said for me to do it now, but I’m kinda glad I did because there was this even weirder guy with a black cape doing some weird stuff outside Ramshackle, did you… know about that?” Yuu sighed and rolled their eyes, “Yeah, I know about him. He says I have this weird aura about me especially with Grim, our auras like connect or something, I don’t know what he’s on about, I just shrug him off as a crackhead and leave him alone. He’s all about the ‘dark and spooky occult’ stuff.” Silver hummed and nodded, “Aspen is too…” he muttered. Then he sighed and Yuu smiled partially, “You know, I recognize you too… I believe I saw you in my dreams when I was younger, I don’t know why.” Silver perked up as Yuu spoke and he smiled, “I recognize you from my dreams too.” Yuu blushed and tucked their hair behind their ear, Silver took Yuu’s hand and said, “I’m glad I found who you are…” he kissed the top of Yuu’s hand in a formal greeting. Yuu smiled and covered their mouth with their other hand, “So am I…” They pulled Silver inside Ramshackle and laughed a bit. “Silver, was it? Now that we’ve finally met in person, may we make this official instead of it being a dream thing..?” They asked, looking at Silver with hopeful eyes.

In Silver and Yuu’s dreams, the two were together like an online couple. They started falling for each other when they were in middle school. The two knew this and they were in a relationship in their dreams.

Silver’s eyes widened and Yuu blushed and frowned as they sighed, “I guess that wasn’t what you wanted… sorry.” They released Silver and held their arm. Silver looked at Yuu and shook his head, going over and taking Yuu’s arm lightly in his hands, “Yuu, I’ve been searching for you in my dreams for two years… so of course I wish to be with you, why would I search so long if I didn’t?” He kissed Yuu’s knuckles, “I was just shocked, that’s all. Didn’t expect the feelings to be reciprocated anymore.” He smiled at Yuu and put one of his hands on their cheek and neck, “I still love you, Yuu. It’s funny that we fell for each other in our dreams but I’ll take it if I get to have you as my dearest love.” He kissed Yuu’s lips softly and Yuu kissed him back.
