Awake
Evan and Nero went on a demon hunt in Fortuna. Since it's Evan's 1st time on a real battle, of course there were lots of mistakes.
One of them, causing little Evan almost lose an eye from a Empusa. And both had to go come back home to treat his injury…
Evan's eye started to itch as the week passed through, one night, he couldn't sleep because of the itchness, so naturally went to the bathroom and try to stop it with some ointment. Just to watch himself in the mirror and see…
Red scales?… a yellow glowing eye? What happened to his injury? Wait… Scanning a bit further saw something coming out of his hair… is that…
a horn?

THE GOAT-FOOT GOD:
Came the voice of Destiny, Calling o'er the Ionian Sea,
The Great God Pan is dead, is dead.
Humbled is the horned head; Shut the door that hath no key-
Waste the vales of Arcady.' Shackled by the Iron Age, Lost the woodland heritage, Heavy goes the heart of man,
Parted from the light-foot Pan;
Wearily he wears the chain
Till the Goat-god comes again. Half a man and half a beast,
Pan is greatest, Pan is least.
Pan is all, and all is Pan;
Look for him in every-man; Goat-hoof swift and shaggy thigh-
Follow him to Arcady. He shall wake the living dead- Cloven hoof and horned head, Human heart and human brain,
Pan the goat-god comes again! Half a beast and half a man-
Pan is all, and all is Pan.
Come, O Goat-god, come again!

How do you think Nero meeting reboot Vergil would go? I know the obvious answer is "Not well", but like. I wanna dig into it more. I feel like there could be some tasty, fun stuff to play with there.
Hmm good question.
I've said before that I find the two Dante's to be pretty similar, just often at different points of his life and the two Vergil's to be fairly different people entirely.
That all said I'm interested in Nero trying to take this opportunity to like...understand his father on a level, you know? Like, now that Nero knows preboot Vergil is his dad I'm sure he has a lot of questions about him and how he ticks and why he's done like...a lot of what he's done (including his relationship with Nero's mother and what not). But these are all things I highly doubt preboot Vergil is like...interested in letting Nero in on. The guy, generally, is not very interested in vulnerability and letting people in asdfghjk.
Which is where reboot Vergil kinda offers a unique opportunity for someone in Nero's position. I mean, you have this alternative version of your father who is easier to talk to and can lend some insight into some of your questions on why your dad is how he is. However the issue being that he is, ultimately, not your father. He's a very different guy. But I can see Nero trying and the resulting conversion being interesting.
I do think that like...Nero and reboot Vergil would not get along well. I mean, reboot Vergil's 'the ends always justify the means' mentality is very at odds with Nero who grew a whole demon arm to save someone he loved (or at least that's whats supported by canon, I personally like the idea he was born with devil bringer even though i know its not remotely canon asdfghjk). He also just seems like the type who would not buy a lot of reboot Vergil's bullshit.
How receptive reboot Vergil would be to any of this however I guess depends on where he is in his own character arc.
But yeah, I do think reboot Vergil and Nero interacting would offer Nero a unique opportunity. I'd be curious on the outcome.
