Here comes the woman
With the look in her eye
Raised on leather
With flesh on her mind
Words as weapons
Sharper than knives

Orphaned at a young age, Sansa has lived a quiet life as the High Priestess in her northern village, but peace is shattered when legions of marauders led by warlord Sandor Clegane raid her village.
Sandor’s brutal reputation precedes him—a warrior who some say is the devil himself—but Sansa is known to him too. Lore has spread through the Seven Kingdoms about the beautiful High Priestess of the North, a maiden ripe for the taking.
Sandor’s plan is simple—kidnap Sansa and offer her to the highest bidder—but he didn’t account for how wickedly he wants her for himself.
While the best laid plans of men often go awry, Sandor is no ordinary man. He may not even be mortal at all and Sansa is about to learn the cost of making a deal with the devil isn’t just her soul but her heart too.
A dark Faustian romance.

In realms where darkness casts its solemn sway,
The devil found his heart swayed by an angel's grace.
He, tainted and tormented, met her celestial glow,
An ethereal being that stirred a fire below.
With ebony wings, he approached her radiant light,
His wickedness juxtaposed against her pure delight.
The devil, mesmerized, felt his darkness quell,
As the angel's essence cast a sacred spell.
Her eyes, a wellspring of compassion and love,
Brought solace to his spirit, a gift from above.
In her presence, he sensed a profound transformation,
A chance at redemption, a celestial invitation.
Though his past deeds were etched deep within,
The devil yearned for redemption, a chance to begin.
He pledged his loyalty, forsaking his infernal role,
To stand beside the angel, his heart pure and whole.
Their union, a dance of contrast and harmony,
Two souls entwined, transcending duality.
For even in darkness, love's power does ignite,
The devil found salvation in the angel's radiant light.

The world swam with black. The surface was placid and still like floating weightless in eternity. Sansa became aware of her body and the dull pain that lingered in her belly. You shall bear the mark of this. Too afraid to open her eyes, she counted her breaths and listened but heard only small sounds often taken for granted; the rustle of leaves, the chirping of birds, the beat of her heart.
Something soft and warm daubed her cheek then patted her closed eyes and next her cheek again. What followed was cold and wet as it stamped her forehead and a resonant purr was now loud in Sansa’s ears. She opened her eyes to find Camael’s face hovering close to hers and the cat’s own golden eyes blinking slowly as if relieved she had finally woken.
And how long had she slept?

That's a wrap for this fic!
Thank you so much for those who read, shared, and commented on this story. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing and sharing it.
I am planning on taking a break from SanSan writing as I turn my attention back to other projects, including BLOODLINES--the novelization of Gods and Monsters. I should have my socials and website up and running soon for that, so you can follow me there for updates on publication.
Thank you so much and I hope everyone has a great holiday season and happy New Year! 🖤
