THE PRESSURES OF BEING ME: DEVILGRAM SUMMARY + REVIEW

(spoilers under the cut + review)

Happening shortly after the Scrolls event, Solomon and Simeon are chatting about how the magic scroll had now fulfilled its purpose and became a magic "game book" where you can enter three prompts and get transported into the story world.

Each encounter is random and new, which piqued Simeon's interest and made him pick up the scroll to try it out.

After you and Solomon find yourselves meeting with the story version of Diavolo and Barbatos, you found out the prompts Simeon picked up: "[MC's name, treasure, romance]". After the three key prompts are fulfilled, everyone can get back to the Devildom.

Diavolo and Barbatos then reveal that MC is considered a national treasure in their kingdom, as whichever place they decide to live in will be guaranteed prosperity and good fortune. Because of this, their safety became a concern for the three, particularly Solomon who volunteered himself to become MC's bodyguard as he knew with how valuable their abilities are, they can become a target for any greedy individual who chooses to use them for their personal agenda.

To the surprise of no one, MC does eventually get kidnapped by thieves (Mammon and Belphegor) while Solomon was busy discussing his bodyguard duties with Barbatos. As the two were debating if they should sell off MC, Solomon catches up and comes to the rescue. Belphegor summons a white cobra to drain Solomon's magic powers so they can escape and Mammon gloats that without his magic, Solomon is "useless". Only that wasn't the case at all. Solomon was able to summon a knife to escape the cobra's clutches, rescuing MC.

MC points out that they know Solomon was intending to be captured, and he sheepishly admits that he wanted the story to end in a more exciting way which was why he got captured on purpose.

The two reunite and share a kiss and return to the Devildom. At their return, Solomon professes his feelings for the MC again, telling them how they had always been his treasure all along.

REVIEW

It's a pretty standard Devilgram story. Writing-wise, it's nothing to write home about. It wasn't as good as the Vampire UR personally, and is a lot less sus but it does have its moments that made me raise my eyebrow like this🤨:

What I do appreciate in this Devilgram is they finally listened to feedback (I hope) and made us have an option to have an established relationship with the character in the Devilgram.

The secondary characters aren't as in your face as in the previous cards. In fact, I found it really funny that they made Mammon the "villain" in this story after how poorly he was received by several Solomon stans (including me) in Solomon's 2021 bday event.

Overall, a pretty solid story. Pure fluff and fanservice and the option to only be loyal to Solomon was really nice. I hope they continue with that tempo.

You turned to your left. You turned to your right. You cursed Belphie.

Stretching your hand out towards the cold side of Dantalion’s big bed, patting around for good measure, you sighed when you found it just as empty as when you went to bed.

You sat up at the resignation that sleep wouldn’t find you anyway and detangled yourself from the silky blankets. Just as you had guessed, light was still filtering in from underneath the door and when you padded along the pristine hallways of the demon’s home, you found Dantalion sitting in a plush armchair, his normal clothes already swapped for a luxurious robe as he pored over the upcoming issue of “Devil Style”.

“You’re still working?” Rubbing the nonexistent sleepiness from your eyes, you watched him tilt his head up, bright eyes trailing from what he was reading to your figure in the doorway. “Aren’t you going to sleep?”

“I could be asking you the same thing, darling,” he mused, already extending a hand towards you and inviting you to join him.

“I can’t sleep without you there,” you admitted as you slipped your fingers into his slender ones.

“My apologies,” the blond murmured, lifting your hand to his lips and kissing your knuckles in an effort to make it up to you. “Unfortunately, this review can’t wait. But you are welcome to join me as I wrap up, I’m nearly done anyway.”

“Sure,” you agreed and slipped into his lap, your back supported by his chest as you studied the magazine in front of you. “Oh, I saw a lot of demons wearing something like that recently.”

“Hmm, it seems to be very popular lately, especially on Devilgram. I believe we have Asmo to thank for that,” Dantalion offered and as always you were in awe that he just knew these things off the top of his head. “Perhaps you should come and try on some of the new arrivals. I believe the style would suit you well.”

The two of you kept going through the magazine together, Talion taking notes here and there. The scratch of his pen combined with the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest and his arms loosely curled around you, enveloping you like the scent of his body wash, weighed heavy on your eyelids. Soon thereafter, your breathing evened out and your head fell against his shoulder, your cheek pressing into the silken material of his robe.

Careful not to wake you, Dantalion closed the magazine after reviewing his notes again, then whisked it away with magic. Gently tracing a finger over your cheekbone, the demon smiled to himself at how peaceful you looked before placing a sweet kiss on your forehead.

Lifting you up, he made his way over to the bedroom so you could finally get some rest, already looking forward to waking up next to you in the morning.

𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐀𝐑

The door to Valefar’s private office creaked open as you poked your head in, looking around the room before your eyes locked onto the demon’s figure at his desk. His focus was entirely on the documents in front of him, so you decided not to disturb him and slowly went to close the door again.

“And where do you think you’re going?” Val still hadn’t looked up from his paperwork, yet you could tell one of his eyebrows was raised in that typical way of his.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to bother you,” you mumbled into the quiet room, heat rising to your cheeks at your own fumbling. “You’re busy right now, aren’t you?”

“Yes, but I can also be busy later,” he said, finally lifting his gaze to meet yours. His dark hair was tousled as if he had run his hand through it a couple of times, his suit jacket and tie slung over the back of his chair. “So, you’re gonna tell me why you’re here?”

“It’s nothing important, really. I can just come back later–”

While you were trying to backtrack, Valefar had crossed the room to stand in front of you, arms crossed and expression unimpressed as he towered over you. With measured strength, he pulled you fully into his office and shut the door, his hand resting beside your head.

“Now, let’s try this one more time, little lamb,” the demon said, head lowered so you could look straight into his amber eyes. “Is there something you need from me?”

“I– It’s really dumb,” you sighed. “I just wanted to see you because I missed you.”

There was a beat of silence in which the thought you had angered him crossed your mind. Then, Valefar’s amused chuckle filled the room before you felt weightless, your demon’s nails digging into the fat of your thighs as he lifted you up.

“Val–!”

“How did a sweet little thing like you fall into my claws, hm?” There was a smug glint in his feline eyes at the squeal you let out when he dropped backwards onto one of the couches, pulling you down on top of him. 

When you tried to sit up, his arms wrapped around your torso, keeping you flush against his chest and making you inhale his cologne. There was a rumble in his chest as he lazily drawled his question. “Weren’t you the one who asked for this? Then also stay still.”

“But is it really alright for you to skip work?” You wondered, not wanting to get him in trouble because of you.

“Don’t sweat it, I’m my own boss, remember?” One of his arms was propped up under his head while his other hand had settled on your waist, tracing his pointer finger over your skin. “Besides, you’re much more important than some paperwork anyway.”  

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐒

Stolas had been streaming for a while already, just getting around to wrapping up the stream by talking to chat when he received your text asking how much longer he’d be live. Near immediately, he excused himself and waved chat goodbye saying something important came up.

This was by far no uncommon phenomenon. And at first, you had felt pretty guilty when he quickly ended his stream when you actually just wanted to ask if you could still hang out afterwards. But Stolas had very adamantly assured you that it was alright and that his audience was used to him timing lives based on his mood anyway.

Considering you caught most of his streams, you could estimate pretty precisely how long it would take the winged demon to make his way to the House of Lamentation. So when Stolas took longer than usual, you were growing a little worried. Maybe he was more upset over you interrupting his streams than you thought?

There wasn’t much time for you to get into your head though, a familiar knocking pattern against your window ripping you out of your thoughts. Waving at you from outside the glass was Stolas, the dark strands of his hair askew from the angle in which he was cocking his head.

The night air grazed your cheeks as you opened the window to greet him, only to be immediately swept up into his arms and twirled around, flashes of blue darting in and out of your vision as his wings steadily carried you.

“I missed you!” Stolas exclaimed, pressing an excited kiss to your temple. “C’mon, let’s get out of here before your guard dog catches us.”

“By now I think Luci has caught on, to be honest,” you snorted, locking the handle from outside with a handy magic trick Asmodeus had taught you.

“I was talking about Mammon, actually,” the demon grinned back before whirling the two of you high into the Devildom night sky.

As always, the adrenaline was racing through your veins at the playful dips and turns Stolas made while you took in the scenery underneath you. Nightlife was always bustling in the streets here and it was fun watching the demons bustling around the illuminated paths.

You landed on the small balcony outside of Stolas’s apartment, which has become as much of a safe haven to you as the House of Lamentation. Offering you his hand, the demon helped you into his living room, only to pull you towards the couch immediately.

It was only after the dimmed lights were flicked on that you realised the couch had become a cushioned landscape of pillows and blankets, your favourite snacks and drinks sitting on the coffee table.

“C’mon, get comfy,” Stolas encouraged you, one hand in the dip of your back. “We need to catch up on the series we’re watching. Plus I know the game you wanted to play just came out. Chat was begging me to stream it but I wanted to play it with you first.”

“Looks like we’ll be busy then,” you mused, dropping onto the cushions, waiting for Stolas to crowd into your space as he always did.

And no sooner had he pressed play on the latest episode of the show he swore he wouldn’t get invested in, he was already lying between your legs with his head on your chest and arms wrapped around your middle.

“Sorry for being so busy lately,” he mumbled halfway into your shirt. “I didn’t mean to skip out on our time together.”

“It’s okay, I understand,” you smiled down at him, twirling his dual-coloured strands between your fingers. “Besides, Satan ran me through a military-style study routine for the exams anyway, so I wasn’t any less busy. Guess we just have to make up for lost time then, huh?”

Stolas hummed, before grabbing the hand that was close to his face and turning his head so he could flutter a lingering kiss against the skin of your wrist.

“Oh, I fully intend to, if you haven’t noticed.”

Insane how fans can write the characters more in-character than the actual devs in this fandom

Do you remember that personality inconsistency thing happening w/ Satan?

So OM has it's writing staff, but that doesn't mean that the same writers will always be working on the same things, or even that there will be consistent communication between the different writers.

OM splits its writing team up in order to tackle things like the main story, the Pop Quiz events, all the different character Devilgrams, the daily and unlockable chats, etc. This is very much standard for the industry. It's entirely likely that someone who was writing a Mammon-centric Devilgram on one day will find themself assigned to the new Simeon-centric Pop Quiz event the day after, and then be tasked with writing scenes for the main story after that. It's very unlikely that any one writer will be assigned a single task or single character to dedicate 100% of their focus to... everyone is kind of just working on everything, which may make the process faster (since your writers are working on three or four different plots/stories at once) but it also spreads focus and creativity much thinner.

Solmare has also been known to bring in guest writers from outside the regular OM staff, whether it's writers from other studios or independent writers/freelancers. So we'll sometimes even have people who aren't actually fully familiar with the characters (or at least, not familiar to the level of the regular OM team) writing for them!

Writing for mobile games (or any constantly-updating medium, really) is always going to be an uphill battle. If the demand is for new Pop Quiz events to be released every 2-3 days, along with Devilgram stories and unlockable chats for the Nightmare banner and Pop Quiz reward cards, then it stands to reason that the writers are basically running on fumes at all times. And if the main story is actively in a current/updating season, then you have to add that to the writer's workload as well.

All of this doesn't even take into consideration things like edits, rewrites, script changes, etc. It's extremely common to send in a completed scene or story for review and approval, only to get your script back full of notes about everything that needs to be changed. With the constant turnover time for things like events and stories in mobile games in general (not just OM specifically) I wouldn't be surprised if new content is only getting finished and approved within hours of it going live - which would also explain the occasional text errors and typos that we see in-game, considering that there likely just isn't time to fix everything before releasing it.

All of this is really just a very long way to say "this is why fans of a series or character are often thought to understand or write for the series/character better than the actual staff" and in a lot of ways it's fairly true. Especially when many fans are writing out of sheer love, and some official writers are possibly only writing for a paycheck.

(Writing for a paycheck is in no way bad, especially in 2024 with the economy and cost of living crisis the way it is. And many official writers love the series and characters they write for, this just isn't a universal thing)

As for Satan himself, when it comes to OM specifically he is fairly lucky in that the brothers are typically given a lot more attention and care than the rest of the cast. This is a problem in itself (OM has a long history of sidelining beloved characters in order to constantly spotlight the 2 or 3 most popular money-makers, this being Lucifer, Mammon, and sometimes Leviathan) but in this particular case, it means that Satan usually isn't victim to being thrown out-of-character by the writers, or at least not as often as someone like Solomon or Barbatos.

From what I've noticed, it tends to be the "Satan loves cats" thing that gives him the most OOC moments. Yes, Satan loves cats very much. Very big catboy energy. However, there have been times where his "obsession" with cats is so overblown for the sake of comedy and silly wacky hijinks that it goes directly against his actual character. Yes, Satan loves cats, but not enough to knowingly endanger himself or the people around him, which has happened more than once - the biggest examples being S2 and S4 of the original game, where Satan's IQ suddenly dropped into single digits during a very serious situation and he abandoned his actual goals in order to chase after a random cat. In S2 he did this despite the fact that it not only endangered his own life while he already knew that the cat was not real, but also at the detriment of the rest of his family and MC (as the fake cat was a known trap meant to prevent him from helping MC and Lucifer save Beel's life)

Yes, Satan loves cats. But he also loves MC and his family more than anything else, and the idea that a random cat that he literally knows is a trap can cause him to suddenly become stupid and abandon everything at the drop of a hat when he knows that it will risk him and everyone else is so wildly, ridiculously out of character for him it's almost laughable.

We know that Satan would not ever put himself or anybody he cares about in serious, life-threatening danger on purpose.

But the story needed a little ✨️drama✨️ so the writers decided that Satan's established characterisation was worth sacrificing in order to write the scene they wanted.

They're all candid-- from parties and meetings and long nights in the office doing paperwork-- and he hates all of them but he can't get Diavolo to delete them.

Diavolo has at least an extra ten million followers that are only there for Lucifer's pictures.

But his fans definitely screenshot the original captions and they get circulated for weeks with everybody freaking out about how sweet it is.

Nothing changes for a long time. Seriously, y'all have to be dating for at LEAST eight months before he even mentions you on his Devilgram.

The first thing he posted was a picture of you in front of his fish tank wearing the Henry costume from the play Simeon put on with the caption "my Henry's." His fans lost their absolute MINDS.

He doesn't post pictures of you often because why should he share you with his followers? You're his, they don't need to see. But when he does, it's mostly in cosplays he's made or waiting in line with him for some release. It’s very cute.

Seriously, it's a lot of pictures of cups of tea, and the cats in the garden, and piles of books. Everything is set up to be super aesthetically pleasing for the pictures. Occasionally he'll post a picture of Belphegor setting up a prank for Lucifer. Of course, it's not posted until after the prank happens, he can't risk Lucifer finding out early. The captions are all book quotes. Every time. Without fail. If he posts a picture of a book cover, he may also add a review of the book. The only time you see his face is if it's a selfie of him sipping tea or a cat is standing on his shoulders.

The content doesn’t change much, but now you're there too! Petting cats or pouring tea or curled up in a chair reading a book he recommended. He'll also post pictures from date nights, selfies you took of the two of you on his phone. All still very aesthetically pleasing. He'll also post videos of you helping set up pranks, him narrating what's being set up and what's supposed to happen when it goes off with you and Belphie snickering quietly and shushing each other.

Thirst trap central! It's not every post, but shit is it almost! Risque photos in lingerie and tiny outfits, but also super glamorous pictures in frighteningly intricate dresses and suits. It's a lot of selfies and at home photoshoots. He promotes his favorite skincare and makeup lines. He also does a lot of BTS for his modeling jobs, selfies with the crew at whatever shoot he's at or the staff at the massage place or the nail salon, and a surprising amount of selfies with his brothers. (the reason Levi and Lucifer have any pictures of themselves at all)

Every picture is absolutely perfect and he will retake them as many times as he needs to make sure they are. He has the most followers on Devilgram. Again, it's Asmo.

As soon as you start dating, Devilgram knows. Hell, his followers might've found out before Lucifer did.

You're in at least 75% of his pictures. If you don't want to be in the risque ones, that's totally alright, but if you do?? Holy shit does he love those pictures. And so do his followers! At first, you were always just right beside him in his pictures, just as done up and flawless as he always is. But after roughly a year, it starts slowly changing. Eventually, a lot of his photos focus more on you than him, more often than not they’re candids where you aren't done up. You're just wearing sweatpants and playing on your phone in the common room. Those are his favorite pictures. He thinks you're perfect all the time, and he loves sharing you with the world.

He has more followers than Mammon, and Mammon is furious about it. He only posts like once a week, if even.

You'd think he'd post pictures of food. You'd be wrong. If he did that, he'd be hungry every time he looked at his Devilgram, and he doesn't want that.

No, the reason he has so many followers is because he's the one posting all the candid shots of his brothers. Doesn't matter what they're doing, he's snapping a picture and posting it on Devilgram. He loves his brothers very much. He'll also just dump a bunch of pictures on there at once, it's never just one at a time, which is part of why he only posts once a week.

There's also some pictures he reposts from the RAD newspaper of Fangol matches, group pictures of his team, action shots of him. Those blow up real quick.

It's usually something similar to that one canon selfie of him with bedhead, with some wild caption about a dream he had. Never makes any sense, but when has that ever stopped him? When it's not that, he's posting super high quality pictures of the stars with long explanations about the stories behind the constellations.

His tagged pictures are a lot of him sleeping in weird places, provided by Beel and Mammon. The one that got the most traction was when Mammon posted a video of opening up the cupboard under the sink in Asmo's bathroom to find Belphie curled up underneath. It was both adorable and hilarious.

He posted a picture of you dead asleep cuddling his cow pillow, which also had some incomprehensible dream recap, but that was about it.

What changed the most was his tagged pictures, which his fans go bonkers for. Now, not only it is him sleeping in weird places, you're also in those weird places! He's always got his arms locked around you so you don't fall off or try to leave while half asleep and not remembering where you are. Under the piano, on the kitchen counter, balanced on a branch of the tree in the yard, squished under one of the desks in the student council rooms. Social Media Headcanons!

Internet in the Devildom

i refuse to believe that somehow the devildom had technology advanced enough to enable social media right after the great celestial war, much more social media culture so i just kind of. disregard the parts in nightbringer where they mention social media tbh

in line with this i headcanon that the internet culture in the devildom is kind of a bit less updated than the human world's because i wanna think that the humans invented the internet first (because the internet was made for non-evil™ purposes) and a lot of social media in the devildom is patterned after human social media.

the practice of enshittification, while associated with greed, is a human-made practice. the three legged crow group has considered and tried adapting this practice but decided against it because it seems more profitable in the long run for them to give their best services forward because they control practically everything produced in the devildom anyway.

that doesn't mean they didn't try though! they tried to enshittify devilblr because that was steadily becoming the source of good memes and Engagement but it was so hard to monetize so they just let it be.

i also wanna think diavolo, being a good demon prince has introduced some kind of antitrust or regulatory rule to prevent the three legged crow from enshittifying if it ever comes to it (please forgive me for this i havent read deep into if antitrust still works with something the size of the three legged crow but for the sake of headcanoning lets just assume that the socmed situation in the devildom is better than what we have rn)

the blockchain is way less popular in the devildom due to it not being a three legged crow group invention. it was actually mammon's doing, having heard it from some contacts in the human world and recreated it from scratch. it's impressive really that he managed to do that, but it just didn't stick.

Characters' Social Media

the individual devilgrams and fab snap videos we see in-app are actually mostly posted by asmo, who keeps curated accounts for his brothers.

lucifer is a demonbook mom. most of his pictures on the site are of him, lord diavolo, and barbatos hanging out. he also has a linked-in-hell account that he keeps tidy and well-updated.

mammon has a curated devilgram for his pictures and magazine shoot promotions. he also had a twithell that he used to try selling nft collections based on his brothers.

levi is a stan dewitter user for sucre frenzy. he's also a devilblr user since 2012. has a devilcarrd with a really short dni that just says, "dni normies". has a dwitch for his streams and a deviltube for cross-posting. has a devilcord of course, for talking to gaming buddies he's also a devilcord moderator but we dont talk about that, and no hes not that kind of devilcord moderator.

levi is also a manager of sorts for a nonprofit, ao3 equivalent of the devildom called the akumarchive. diavolo is well aware of the existence of the akumarchive and sometimes looks up all sorts of fanfic on there because "the kids are so creative making their own endings and alternative stories!"

satan is most active on book review and media sites (think: thestorygraph and tvtropes) but also has a secret dewitter and mastodemon account for book blogging; he runs a formal blog website for his book reviews and then posts the updates on dewitter and mastodemon. he also has a secreter devilblr account for his fursona, and even more secreter fanfiction.hell and akumarchive accounts for fanfic. (satan wrote my immortal)

satan's also pretty active on devilpedia, contributing research mostly about spells and curses.

satan personally knows the human furries who communicate with the three legged crow to help run the devildom internet.

asmo has every socmed possible and can social media manage like a real socmed manager. fab snap, devilgram, deviltube, and dewitter are his top socmed!

beel has a devilgram for his posting about his workouts, and uses mostly the story feature. he also has a devilbook for posting family pictures and moments <33

belphie was on the emo side of devilblr when it first launched, and he's a devilblr veteran, having been there even before levi! now just uses his devilblr as a status symbol of being one of the first accounts on there. has a sideblog dedicated to heritage posts on the site, and another sideblog for pissing off and arguing with 14 human-year old demons.

belphie also used to have a diespace and devilcities but because theyre now defunct he moved to spacehell and demoncities and still remains mostly active on there. i also saw an hc once about if belphie had his d.d.d. with him in the attic he'd make traumacore edits and now im taking that hc with me to this and he now posts his traumacore edits and pages on his demoncities and spacehell.

also headcanon that satan and belphie wrote a dialuci fanfic on the akumarchive under an alias as a prank but it got so popular it crashed the akumarchive for a moment

diavolo is a demonbook dad! always tagging lucifer in everything and also he's an avid shareposter of Youthful Minion Memes™. has totally read and enjoyed the dialuci fanfic that satan and belphie wrote. no he doesnt know it was them. yes he showed it to lucifer and barbatos. barbatos thought it was cute, lucifer thought it was a huge disgrace. no lucifer doesnt know who wrote it either.

barbatos is a demonbook dad as well, and also runs the official rad demonbook page. occassionally makes cooking tutorials for deviltube as well as "cleaning hacks" and "rat extermination hacks" videos.

solomon has a devilcord server for keeping in touch with the demons he has pacts with. i also just know he's a frequent user of deaddit, and he has a deviltube that he uses to make "study with me!", "learn magic with me!" and "lets cook together (gone wrong!!)" videos. joined devilblr for the shitposts, stayed for the chaotic devilblr culture.

simeon is yet another demonbook dad, and is the source of the Youthful Minion Memes™ that diavolo shares.

luke shares his social media accounts with simeon because he's still a child, but has secret accounts for lurking and following beel and barbatos. uses deviltube for kids mostly.

Just downloaded the new Obey Me app and I’m going to be giving it my review and opinion!

I never finished the first game, got around to season 2 some time after the MC came back from the human world and then my phone ran out of memory for the game lol. It kept lagging so much and sometimes it would just crash right away so I gave up an uninstalled it from my old phone 🥲

But I did get hundreds of followers in my old tumblr account because of Obey Me and honestly it was such a fun game at the time. I had fun interacting with other fans of the fandom and gush over our love for the demon brothers. I wasn’t too keen on the MC’s origin story so I’m just gonna… ignore it 😅

For those who don’t know, I am working on the design for my online persona for the past week now who is an angel, but now after playing OMN a bit it’s been giving me the itch to give her a sort of alter ego or alternative versions of herself. So I’m planning on the works of her human form (which I guess will represent me in the old Obey Me game) and her demon form which will represent me in Nightbringer. I’ll post it here when I’m done if anyone’s interested because for sure I’m gonna start drawing art for Obey Me again after this.

Anyway I digress—

I really like the new features of the DDD app in Nightbringer. We have a new rhythm game that I don’t really understand yet how to time my attacks.. and we have like a parody of the Marauder’s Map from Harry Potter?

They also have 3D models for the boys now! I love watching the interactions between the brothers with this, plus it’s great for the video call feature in the Wanderer’s Whereabouts because it seems a bit more realistic than just the audio calls we used to get. The 3D models are very expressive and the animation seems smooth. The backgrounds are being used well here from the old version of the game.

And I think it’s cute that we can see the brothers voice their thoughts when we gift them a sheep stuffed toy. We’re essentially spying on them or “babysitting” as the brothers sees it. Since we are their attendant now in this game, ordered by Diavolo, I guess it makes.. sense? Humans have like a CCTV in their homes to keep an eye on things when they’re not around so I think that’s what the WW is meant to be as an app. It’s not bad of a feature and I enjoy seeing more of the animations of the brothers being put to use.

Also can we please take a moment for this scene of Mammon wondering why he cares about this toy so much that resembles his MC (AKA us)?! 😭

Bro doesn’t know us because of the plot line of the game being the MC traveling back in time (I don’t really know why yet aside from the premise of a certain demon granting our wish of taking us to somewhere where we will be happy AKA to reunite with the 7 brothers in the Devildom)

You will probably need to play the first game to understand what’s going on. Or at least to understand our connection to the characters of the game from the future timeline.

Personally I think the new chibi art of the game is stellar! Super cute! The designs on the cards are great too.

The story seems interesting and I’m getting really hooked since we have a lot of new apps on the DDD to keep me from being bored. I felt like the affection raise in the first game seemed useless but it was explained to me that affection level allows you to get bonus stuff like Devilgram posts or extra calls, so yeah that’s cool to know now.

I think my only complaint is the rhythm game mechanics. I don’t really get how it works or I do and the timing is off? I don’t know if I’m the only one who has this problem or what, but I’m annoyed that I keep missing so much like wtf. My scores in the first game were way better than this 😭 Every time I tap when the item is on the line it just doesn’t work so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong lmao

I’ll continue playing the game but so far I want to give it a 7.5/10 ⭐️ I will be posting more of this game soon.

In the Devildom, you'd expect the demon brothers or Lord Diavolo to be the biggest attention grabbing people. You, As of late, have stolen the spotlight.

You were modeling with Mammon and As more. You would have tea with Diavolo and Lucifer. You'd become popular on Devilgram and Deviltube because you would game with Levi. You and Satan became prolific because you two would read books and write reviews of anything and everything online. You'd become an avid coach for Beel and you two worked out together. You had even managed to gain a following because you'd create new designs for Majolish, all of which the brothers helped with.

Since coming to the Devildom, your insecurities about your thighs and chubby tummy, your bigger breasts and your equally sizable butt seemed the shrink. The insecurities are still there but the brothers all loved how you looked. They didn't quite understand the insecurities you had but they did their best to support you.

As of late, they noticed how popular you had become and as supportive as they were, they started to become a little jealous of all the attention you were getting, mainly because you weren't showing as much attention to them and they believed that you belonged to them and them only.

Lucifer had noticed that the attention you were receiving was nice in moderation, As for your looks, your breasts and butt definitely did it for him. He was a chubby chaser and he was definitely into you, it showed through how he treated you. Lucifer knew how it felt to be the center of attention and most times it felt good, however, he started to notice that you would only devote your time to doing the things that made you popular, he didn't think it was very healthy for you and he was concerned that you started to care less and less which wasn't the case.

Mammon thought it was nice to have someone to hang out with, you two made money together and split fair profits. He loved the attention because it was positive and unlike the attention he would receive from his brothers. He started to notice that people loved you and how you looked which was fair because he loved you too. Mammon is a thigh man through and through, he didn't care that your thighs touched and he found your tummy adorable. He could spend days with his face in between your thighs. He however started to become jealous of the people you were giving your attention to and he didn't think that it was fair since he wasn't receiving as much attention from you.

Levi loved you, That was a fact. He had an affinity for cosplaying and gaming. When you two did it together, he was happy because you always matched and you two looked so cute. He loved your butt because it looked good in everything and your thighs were soft and plush. As per usual though, Levi eventually became envious. He wasn't envious of you but he was envious of the other demons who grabbed your attention. It wasn't unusual for the Avatar of Envy to get angry but he did his best to stay silent.

Satan wasn't as worried about the attention you gained as much as his other brothers but he was upset that you were ignoring him. You would be so focused on your phone and social media and you would become more reckless in everyday endeavors. He was happy because you felt better about your looks, you felt better so he felt better. He's an ass man so you best believe he was jealous of the attention you were giving to others. He loves you and despite how much he wants to talk to you about his worries but he doesn't because he likes how good you feel.

Asmodeus is very interested in you, you two model together, mainly in Lingerie. He has issues with your body simply because he believes you're sexier than him. He loves you, don't get him wrong but he's envious of the attention you get too, mainly because he starts to feel inadequate. And the attention you give to other people makes him upset too because he's not getting the same treatment. He starts to become angry when you fully shut him out and he has started coming up with a plan to get your attention.

Beelzebub couldn't care as much about your looks. He thinks you're adorable and he loves your soft tummy but your looks aren't the best thing about you. He knows you're attractive, he knows he's attractive, he knows he has attractive brothers. He knows you've become popular and he knows that you get so much attention from others but he loves you for you, he, like Lucifer, isn't really envious, but he is worried about your well-being and your prolonged exposure to the people of the Devildom isn't doing you many favors but because you seem happier, He leaves you be.

Belphegor is a tit and thigh man. He loves you and he loves your body. Your thighs are his typical pillow. He's not so much worried about your following online as he is worried about your mental health. Your mental and physical health is important but with how much time you spend online, you haven't been spending as much time with him and he believes that's bad. He's jealous of the people getting your attention, so.... He too comes up with a plan.

You're sitting in the library at the House of Lamentation, you're editing one of your cosplay con videos with Leviathan when Lucifer walks in, he spots you and sits down to talk to you.

Lucifer crosses one leg over the other as he looks at you. "MC? Do you have a free moment to speak?"

You hum without even looking up from your phone. "Hm?"

Lucifer sighs and grabs your DDD "MC. This is important. I really think you should pay attention."

You lean forward and try to grab your DDD. "Hey!!!! Lucifer! Give that back!"

Lucifer frowns and puts your DDD on the table right next to his seat. "MC. You're spending too much online and it's not healthy."

You roll your eyes. "What? You're jealous I'm okay with my life here now?"

Lucifer frowns and he takes a deep breath. Darling, No! I'm worried about you. My brothers are worried about you..... We're happy for you, we're glad you're happy here with us and were happy you are thriving but you've been ignoring more important things. Your life isn't always meant to be online. It's harmful and unhealthy.

You frown and shake your head, you want to feel angry for Lucifer meddling in your life but you can't help but feel sad because Lucifer,like his brothers, care about you. "And all of you feel this way?"

Lucifer nods and crosses his arms in his seat. "Yes, all of us. Even Lord Diavolo and Simeon are becoming concerned."

You think for a moment and then sigh. "I.... I suppose I have been preoccupied..... I never thought that would impact my relationships with all of you."

Lucifer smiles and hands your DDD back to you. "Just keep it in mind for next time, looks aren't everything and you have other good qualities, some that you should keep to yourself."

After your talk with Lucifer, you spend the rest of the day with your favorite demons, Lucifer and his brothers.

Hi! Yes it came through & it's no bother at all!

I have a lot of unanswered asks right now (133?) and I'm answering them at random & queueing most of them up (anything that feels "time sensitive" - about a recent event/a question about gameplay/ or something that's not about the game will be answered as soon as I see it/get the time & posted immediately)

I haven't answered your ask though because of some shit going on over here (in my country & life) I more or less stopped OM! for a while & only opened it to get the daily bonus so I stopped playing S4 about 6 or 8 lessons before it's finale.

What I'm trying to say is; at the point where I stopped the main story Barbatos still gave 0 shits about MC. Or rather he cared about them in the same way someone who had no positive or negative thoughts about dogs other than finding them mildly annoying would put up with the new dog someone they care about a lot, just adopted. Said person (Diavolo) will coo about how great their dog is and Barbatos will nod and smile and indulge them while not getting it at all. But if the dog does something particularly surprising/impressive he can acknowledge that and it'll thaw him a bit. It'll take a while but with patience he'll probably come to care for the dog*

*don't come for me, this is just my interpretation of how he comes off up to the parts I played

But up to the parts I played, the only times (I can remember off the top of my head) where Barbatos is affectionate with MC is when;

• MC had to practically force a kiss out of him in S3

• When the spell? Curse? from the letter made him act like a "cat in heat" around mc. If they showed they cared about him during that he'd be appreciative, if they teased him about it/dragged it on he'd be pissed

Chat, Call, Event & Devilgram Barbatos is a whole other thing though. They're there (specially the events & devilgrams) to be there solely for MC to have romantic moments with all the LIs meaning Barbatos in them is very out of character with his main story version when it comes to his feelings about MC. Even the other characters become a lot more sappy during the events & devilgrams. A lot of them are out of character with where their main story counterparts currently are (or at least were in the last lesson I played)

I didn't answer your first ask because I didn't finish S4 and didn't think I could give a fair answer while missing whole lessons. I will be starting S4 now that I'm done saving up energy for Mammon's birthday. I'll answer your previous ask after that/after I finish S4

At least if it's lore heavy, it's not going to be the same game so I can easily ignore it.

You’re in the kitchen helping Asmo with dinner duty and singing along to one of your playlists of human realm music that you like to show him.

Asmo starts filming your cute little dance while you stir the pot on the stove because you are just adorable!

About ten seconds into him filming, Lucifer appears in the doorway with quite the stern look on his face. You know, the one that comes right before a “MAMMOOOOOON” and strikes fear into the heart of all those with functioning eardrums. That one.

He opens his mouth, presumably to tell y’all to shut the fuck up, but then there’s a lull in the music and the eldest can hear your voice ever so slightly above the song’s vocalist and he freezes.

Man stops in his tracks like someone just smacked him in the face with a midair volleyball.

Asmo can be heard stifling a laugh behind his phone.

Lucifer’s face gets so soft and he almost, almost, loosens his metal-rod-through-the-ass posture before you notice him and give a little wave and ask if you and Asmo were being too loud like the considerate darling you are.

Lucifer clears and his throat and says something like, “No, you aren’t. I was just coming to check on how dinner is coming along,” and leaves, after which Asmo immediately presses the post button.

Much like Lucifer, you and Mammon end up going viral off Asmo’s Devilgram. (Noticing a pattern here?) 

He pulls a silly prank on your asses and honestly I don’t know how you fell for it. But hey, they say “idiots in love” for a reason, so...

You and Asmo are sitting in the common room of the House of Lamentation just chillin. Well, he’s chillin, you’re on the floor studying for an upcoming exam.

The video starts in the middle of a conversation you and the avatar of lust were having.

“No, Asmo,” you say. “Mammon and I don’t use pet names for each other.” Now that’s just a darn lie, and every demon and crow within ten miles of Mammon and you together knows it.

“Really? I find that very hard to believe, MC.~”

Streamer Levi? Streamer Levi.

You guys go viral the first time you make an appearance on one of Levi’s weekly (insert cool Devildom streaming service name here) streams. 

It’s completely unintentional. You had been asking him for weeks to play with him on there, but he’s the avatar of envy after all. He doesn’t like sharing his partner, even if it’s with random strangers who have no real access to you.

However, he has his stream on a Thursday instead of a Friday one week, and you come into his room carrying dinner because 1) You didn’t realize he was streaming and 2) No matter what he was doing, the boy needed to eat. It wasn’t unusual for you to bring him dinner, so you had no idea why he was blushing and stammering even more than usual this time in particular. Boy was speaking in beached whale trying to tell you what was wrong.

Then you notice his screen. Oh! “Hi chat!” You wave, setting Levi’s food down on his desk in front of his keyboard. “M-MC!” He full-on whines, slamming a hand over his mouth afterwards when he remembers his viewers could hear that.

Honestly, they’d meme the fuck out of him if it weren’t for the fact that they are FINALLY SEEING HIS HENRY!!! THE MYSTERIOUS MC!!!

Chat is bombarding you with questions while you make Levi eat dinner. And by make him eat dinner, I mean literally feeding this man forkfuls/spoonfuls while he games because you love how flustered he gets when you do that.

You’re a natural on stream. The VOD becomes the most popular on Levi’s account in a matter of hours and soon cute highlights compilations of you and him on that stream start making the rounds on Devildom Twitter.

There was buildup to Satan going viral, similar to Levi in a way. 

Satan does have a Devilgram, but it’s basically a white woman’s Instagram with added book reviews for variety. Unless you’re a reader his account is pretty boring: candles, books, fireplaces, and cats.

However, after you two started reading together fairly often he began posting pictures of your legs draped over his while you sat together. They’d always be captioned with vague ass pretentious literary criticism. 

This goes on for months, and he gains a lot of (horny) followers after the leg pics start up. He doesn’t really get why but you both joke that it’s because you have some damn nice legs and I mean neither of you are complaining about the new following.

You two go viral when he finally shows your face, entirely by accident.

The post is a video, which is already strange for him and grabs attention. In it, you’re scoffing and reading an excerpt of a book, mocking its understanding of female anatomy.

“I’m quoting here, Satan: ‘her breasts bouncing around like giant pacmen.’ I’M SORRY?? THAT ISN’T HOW BOOBS WORK SIR. WHY ARE MEN ALLOWED TO WRITE?” 

(fun fact that is a very real quote from a very real book I really read last month pls save me)

Originally the camera is focused on your body, with your head out of frame to protect your privacy, but your righteous anger made Satan laugh. Like, a real laugh. The one that makes you and everyone in earshot wonder if he truly was never an angel cause he sure as hell laughs like one but anyway-

When he threw his head back, his DDD angled up just a tad without him noticing, and your face was in view for like .2 seconds. Screenshots of it are making the rounds on Devilgram almost immediately: FINALLY THE LEGS’ OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND.

Satan apologizes profusely but you honestly find it funny and you two opt to just start taking selfies while reading with both of your faces in them from now on.

I’m gonna be real with you: you and Asmo go viral all the time. Pretty much everything Asmo posts can be considered viral because of his social media following and his status as one of the seven avatars of sin.

However, there are some fairly cute highlights to be pointed out among the times you were both featured in a post that blew up.

Your favorite is probably that time Asmo livestreamed on of you guys’ ‘Nail Nites,’ as you call them.

You’re both on the floor, doing your nails and kicking your feet back and forth while talking to chat. A lot of the questions are about your relationship, and there’s a lot of flirting back and forth between the two of you.

A particular clip of the stream does blow the fuck up on Devilgram, though, when someone screen records it and posts it with a bunch of heart emojis edited over it.

“’What colors do you think best describe each other?’ Ooo, that’s a good one, chat!” Asmo claps his hands together excitedly, making sure to be  careful of his nails.

Pretty much everyone expected you to say pink, but you surprised both your boyfriend and your viewers when, after a pensive few moments, you replied with “Hmm...probably yellow or orange.”

“Can I ask why, darling?” Asmo tilts his head in confusion. I mean, yeah, those colors look good on him, but he doesn’t wear them often so he’s wondering about your thought process. 

“Well, in the human world those colors often represent happiness, optimism, and positivity. You’re always the cheerful presence I need in my life when things get hard, so you have the vibe of those colors.”

Asmo proceeds to burst into tears and hug you, messing up both of your nails and prolonging the stream since you both have to start over. But neither of you particularly care. 

Fun fact: Asmo has the clip that demon made of that portion of the stream saved on his DDD and watches it whenever he feels sad.

Beelzebub:

Beel and you probably go the most viral out of everybody. Like this moment is an entire phenomenon across the Devildom internet. 

It’s a video, or well, multiple videos, taken at the end of a Fangol game that Beel’s team had just won. Everyone is cheering and going crazy, yourself included, and you just really wanted to congratulate your boyfriend.

So, like the rational person you are, you elect to climb up onto the railing of the bleachers and wave to get his attention. 

You were absolutely fine up there, and sat all comfortably motioning Beel over to you. He notices, of course, and jogs over, standing right beneath you and looking up. (Back where you were sitting, Mammon is screeching like a hyena in heat and Belphie, who is laying down, has one eye open to glare at him. The youngest knows Beel would never let you hurt yourself; you’re fine.)

A bunch of assorted demons at the game has started filming while you were sat atop the railing since you were rather noticeable. Therefore, there’s a shit ton of different angles of the adorable events that follow:

You slide off the railing, landing right in Beel’s waiting arms bridal style. You’ve got this brilliant smile on your face as you pull his helmet off. None of the DDDs filming can hear it over the crowd noise, but Beel asks you why you just went through all that trouble and you tell him it’s because you wanted to tell him how proud you are.

Soft boy’s chest puffs up and he smiles this big cheesy smile at you reach up to run a hand through his hair. You feel him practically purr at the contact, and with a laugh you pull him in and plant a big ole smooch on him.

The crowd, at least those of them that can see, scream. Everyone is running high on adrenaline and happy emotions; something that cute causes a ruckus!! When you pull away Beel proceeds to put you on his shoulders and you celebrate with him and the rest of his team.

The videos of you two being adorable go completely viral and there are some threads dedicated to stockpiling every single angle taken of the event. Beel is completely oblivious to the attention but you have a lot of them saved on your DDD.

Belphegor:

If you think Belphegor has any sort of social media presence whatsoever then you are sorely mistaken. (Well okay he actually does run some anonymous troll accounts to meme on Lucifer’s posts but that’s neither here nor there-)

Therefore, naturally, you two go viral off of Asmo’s Devilgram. 

Okay so someone in the obey me tag the other say headcanoned that Belphie will go out of his way to nap in ridiculous places and my brain really took that and RAN WITH IT.

So what happens is that Belphie will fall asleep in the fucking weirdest places. I’m talking on top of the fridge, underneath the dinner table, on top of bookshelves...you name it, he has slept there, no matter the effort it takes to get there in the first place. 

And, ever since you two started dating, you would join him. Sometimes it involved putting yourself at risk of great bodily harm, but the little smile he gave when you he saw you fucking scaling the countertop to reach him made it worth it.

So anyway, since Beel adores the both of you to no end, he takes pictures whenever he sees you two napping together, whether or not it is in a crazy place. He sends these to the family group chat because he thinks they’re adorable.

Over a span of weeks to months, Asmo has built up a stock of images of you and Belphie cuddles up in seemingly impossible places. Once he has about ten or so, he posts a compilation of them to his Devilgram with some cheesy ass caption like “The things we do for love <3″.

He tensed and looked up at them immediately, the slightest color to his cheeks as he asked them to repeat what they had just said

When they did in fact repeat it word for word, the color only heightened in his face and he cleared his throat to get rid of the possible crack in his voice when he replied that it wasn't necessary to get him anything

That reaction they stirred from him only fueled them to call him 'baby' over and over again, enjoying how the tips of his ears would flare with color especially when they would call him that pet name at RAD or around his brothers

Mammon:

MC called him 'baby' when they were having an intimate moment, cuddled together on his couch, their limbs slightly tangled together

His cheeks were cupped by their hands and they were planting kisses on his face when they pulled away and mumbled it out loud

"I love you so much, baby.~"

Cue this demon external combusting; his face over heated and he pulled away from their hands, almost throwing himself on the floor

"W-Why would ya call me that all of a sudden!? Tryin' to make my heart explode or what!?"

MC and Satan were curled up together on the couch, watching a mystery series, when it slipped out suddenly from them

Satan was discussing the evidence provided by the detectives, trying to deduce who the murder was on his own before it was revealed on the show, and MC just smiled openly at him

"You really get into these kinds of shows, don't you, baby?"

His entire thought process was brought to a screeching halt when he blinked at MC with blank features for a moment, before grinning mischievously

"That's the first time you've used a pet name for me, kitten."

He leaned forward and placed a kiss to their cheek, enjoying the flustered color in their face when he used one in return

Diavolo was in the middle of working on a speech he needed to present to the student body of RAD, when MC walked into his office with a plate of food for him

When he completed his speech, he looked at them expectantly, almost crinkling the papers in his hand; they walked up to him and took his hands, beaming up at him

Practically begs MC to call him all the pet names, they make this giant puppy-man so happy

MC was walking along his side in the castle’s garden, helping him tend to the many flowers blooming there

They came to a stop at the tall sunflowers, and he leaned down to pour water at their roots, before reaching up and plucking a flower from its stem

He placed it behind their ear and smiled contently at them, making them flush and laugh lightly

“You’re so sweet, baby,” they mumbled, taking his hand as they continued walking

“I knew you were going to call me that,” he teased, despite the slightest blush to his cheeks; but they scoffed dramatically, narrowing their eyes at him despite the smile still on their face

“Cheater! You aren’t supposed to tap into the future like that, Barby!”

He simply chuckled, and turned to face them. “I foresaw another thing occurring as well.” Before they could respond, he leaned in and kissed them

MC decided to join him on a trip to the grocery story, going over the list he made of things needed for him and Luke

They are looking over some vegetables, judging which look the freshest, when MC raises one for him to check

“How does this one look, baby?” they ask nonchalantly, and he blinks a few times while staring at them

A ball of orange light begins to form, before turning into a bright flame of fire, controlled by the movement of their hand

“I did it! Baby, thank you so much!” they gush, moving their hand around to watch as the fire responds to them
