Brennan: so you leap out the window. Now, I want Ally to look at me. And you tell me, do you feel like a 14 is a high enough roll for your character to use a dance ribbon to fly? Bearing in mind that if I say yes now I have to say yes every other time you want to do this.

Ally: yea, definitely. I think 14 it's above average, um.

Brennan: don't pay any attention to this noise [so many dice rattling]

Murph: you guys just see the most insane things. See Kristen just go like this [mimics ribbon dancing]

Ally: I'm not trying to like FLY

Brennan: sure you're just trying to descend.

Ally: I'm just trying to like, I'm trying to grapple. It's like a grappling hook

Zac: how many stories is it?

Lou: it's 10

Zac: it's 10 stories?!

Ally: It's o-- is it 10 stories? [Surprised]

Brennan: it's 10 stories

Ally: ok I'm just trying to grapple hook. [Interrupted by Lou's laughing] I'm trying to grapple hook 3 flights down so I can cut off her dad

Zac: yeah, that kind of precision.

Brennan: okay cool. So you're just going to try to nail this. You're going to try to cap this graceful fall at 10 stories

Ally: no, do you understand, like, I'm jumping with the ribbon dancer like this [drawing diagrams in the air] you know, to fly.

Brennan: sure, cool [pulling out the box of doom]

Ally: you know, I don't know if you understand. It's like to fly [vogueing a new diagram]

Brennan: okay, so yea, you're just going to try to go a quick three stories down using a ribbon dance to do that. An ability nowhere on your character sheet.

Ally: the ribbon dancer is written on my character sheet! [Pulling out character sheet]

Brennan nods encouragingly

Murph: you have four dexterity

Brennan: so, here's the thing, I'm going to allow you to avert this because I don't want anyone to say I was cruel or mean or unfair, right? So all I'm gonna ask is this: hit a 14 acrobatics check for me right now. Box of doom.

Ally: another one?!

Brennan: yea, to just, to like Indiana Jones using a ribbon as a bullwhip.

Ally: yea. See. You let Indiana Jones do it, and that's sexist. no one respects femininity in this country. [Rolls the dice in the box of doom, ally's it right on out the side]

Brennan: you Ally'd out of the box of doom, across my lap.

Ally: rolls again.

Brennan: okay, that's a natural 2.

Ally: interesting.

Emily: I didn't - I really thought this was gonna be one of those crazy Ally moments.

Lou: I didn't want to say it --

as the fhjy premiere is upon us, i'm back with another edition of thisisnotthenerd's d20 stats. it's just the updates that are relevant, since relationship tracking is taking so long to do and i got sidetracked by polls for a few months. this will be sorted by the categories i have data for--you can look at the spreadsheet to find data for all d20 seasons. or you can read it on ao3. anyway:

before the start of junior year, we have spent 88 hours, 40 minutes, and 14 seconds with the bad kids on-screen, including in oneshots. this is about 3 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes, and 14 seconds.

that's 41/221 d20 episodes, 22 of which were battle episodes.

we've spent 125 hours, 37 minutes, and 32 seconds in spyre as a whole, or 5 days, 5 hours, 37 minutes, and 32 seconds.

that's 57/221 d20 episodes, 32 of which were battle episodes.

cast appearances:

brennan at the top of the list, with 19 d20 appearances, 15 of those as a gm/dm.

next is lou, with 11 seasons as a player; 8 intrepid heroes seasons, 3 sidequests.

followed by ally, zac and siobhan, each with 2 different sidequests under their belts

junior year tipped a lot of the intrepid heroes into a distinct preference, simply by setting them on one side of the table.

emily axford: strong left side preference (6/8), most commonly in L1 and L2. paired next to zac 5/8 seasons, and across from murph 5/8 seasons. fig sits in L1.

zac oyama: strong left side preference (6/8), most commonly in L2 and L1. paired next to emily 5/8 seasons, and across from ally 7/8 seasons. gorgug sits in L2.

i'm putting them at level 9 for now because that's what we left off with, but more than likely they're starting at level 10 or higher. we know about riz's respec, but there may be others that crop up during the season.

gorgug thistlespring: half-orc. berserker barbarian 8, artificer 1. STR. orcish aggression/fury. 18

all of the bad kids have some magic now--the ladies are all full casters, while fabian is a split multiclass, gorgug is a 1/2 caster multiclass, and riz re-subclassed into a 1/3rd casting progression. still an even split of multiclasses and pure classes, though that may change. riz's re-spec has bumped arcane trickster up to the most common rogue subclass, with 6 arcane trickster characters, 4 of whom sit in R1.

You winced as Ronon slammed John down onto the training mat for the third time. "Getting tired?" Ronon asked with a smirk.

"No!" Sheppard yes as he stumbled to stand. "Just biding my time, wearing you down."

"Uh-huh"

You smiled at their banter as you looked back at Ronon, watching as he circled John. Your eyes trailed up his chiseled arms, up to his defined shoulders.

"Enjoying the show?"

You jumped at the sudden whispering voice beside you. Looking over, you saw Teyla watching you with an amused grin.

"What?" You laughed out, swallowing.

She leaned against the wall beside you. "You seemed to be quite interested in Ronon's....skills."

You rolled your eyes. "I'm watching them train, Teyla."

"Mhm." She hummed as you heard her snicker under her breath. After a short moment of silence, she leaned closer and spoke softly. "When are you going to tell him that you have feelings for him?"

Your heart leapt in your chest as you looked over at Ronon, making sure he could not hear you. You looked back at Teyla and shook your head. "Who said I was ever going to?"

"Oh come on, Y/n. You two would be perfect together."

You let out a small scoff and shook your head. "Well I'm sorry to disappoint you Teyla, but I don't think Ro- I don't think he, has ever looked at me and ever seen anything more than a friend."

Seeing true disappointment flash across your face, she frowned. "I think he has."

"We both know how blunt he is Teyla, he doesn't hide things like I do. If he felt something, don't you think he would have said so by now?"

You could see her weighing your words before she let out a soft sigh. "Perhaps you are right. I'm sorry."

You smiled softly at her as you looked back over at Ronon. "Maybe it's time I try and move on from these feelings. It could only hurt me to keep waiting for something to happen when I know it never will."

Teyla thought for a moment. "Well, you know. Lieutenant Thompson seems to have an interest in you."

"You mean James?" She nodded. "Yeah, I know. He asked me on a date a few days ago, but I said no."

"Maybe you could change your mind?'

Watching as Ronon smiled coyly and took a towel from a pretty ogling soldier, who had been watching from the other side of the room. You felt disappointment fill you.

You let out a soft sigh. "Yeah, I suppose I could." You looked over at Teyla and gave her a soft smile, and she gently squeezed your shoulder. "And, I guess now is a better time than any." You said pushing away from the wall. Giving Ronon one more glance, you left the room, unaware that his eyes followed you out.

Teyla, however, did notice. She also noticed the frown that crossed his face when you left. Ronon crossed the room and approached her, "Wheres Y/n going? What were you guys talking about?"

His eyes were locked on the door you had walked out of. He caught a few words from your conversation with Teyla. 'When are you going to tell him' 'Something about 'feelings', and you said a name 'James?' Who was that? And was he the one you had feelings for? His heart seemed to ache in his chest at the idea.

Teyla squinted at him. "Why do you care?"

He looked back at Teyla. "Uh, well, they usually stay around after my training sessions, to either have a small spar, or we go get some food."

"Well I think Y/n has something more...interesting to do."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, they went to go discuss a date."

She watched closely as Ronon adjusted his stance, clearly caught by surprise at this. "What date?"

"With Lieutenant Thompson of course. He's quite interested in Y/n."

'So Thompson is James?' Ronon felt his face fall. "Is he now?"

Teyla smiled, seeing the clear jealousy that crossed his face. She shook her head and leaned closer to him, speaking quietly. "Sorry to break it to you Ronon, but you hid your feelings to well, and waited to long."

He peered down at her. "What does that mean?"

She let out an aggravated sigh. "Are you really so daft? Y/n has been waiting around for you to show any interest in them for months now. Someone can only wait so long before they finally give up."

Walking away from him with a shake of her head Ronon stared after her. Had you truly been waiting that long? And was he so bad at showing how he felt that you never saw it? Now guilt sat in his chest, paired with his jealousy.

You let out a defeated sigh as you looked around the cafeteria. You had been waiting for James to get back from his mission to speak with him, but now you could not find him.

Turning to leave, you halted in your steps as you saw him enter. Walking quickly towards him, you smiled. "James."

"Oh, hey Y/n." You were a bit thrown off by his behavior. He seemed happy to see you, yet more reserved than normal.

"I just wanted to talk to you, about that date you asked me on earlier-"

"Oh, don't worry, you don't have to explain."

"What do-"

"Ronon told me."

You stared at him unblinkingly for a moment. "I'm sorry, what did Ronon tell you exactly?"

"That you tow were together, dating."

"Me and Ronon are...dating?"

"Yeah...that's what he said at least. He explained that you refused my date, because you guys hadn't told anyone yet. So no worries, I'm glad you two are happy."

He smiled at you before brushing past you, leaving you perplexed, with your heart pounding. Looking back into the cafeteria, your eyes caught on Ronon as he passed by the doorway.

Following after him, you caught up with him in an empty hallway. Grabbing his arm, he turned around and you smacked him on the chest.

"Ow. What-"

"Did you tell the guy I was gonna go out with that we're dating?"

So you talked to James. He cleared his throat. "Yeah, maybe." You saw a soft smile almost crossing his face. You felt your gut clench and let out a scoff.

"Is my love life just a joke to you or something Ronon?"

"What?" His face fell.

"You made sure James wouldn't go out with me now. Why would you lie to him like that, I don't get it."

"Oh come on, he's a jerk."

"Since when did you know him?"

"I guess I don't really, but I've heard him talking, and he has a reputation. He'd only hurt you."

'A reputation? What kind of reputation?'

You shook your head. "Why didn't you just tell me that? Why did you tell him we were dating? What was the point in that?"

He shrugged lightly and cleared his throat. "I guess it wasn't so much a lie, as it was...a wish?"

Your words died in your throat as you were unsure of what to say. "I- a- what?"

Looking past your shoulder, he could hear some people walking closer. Grabbing your wrist he pulled you along the corridor and into the empty training room.

When you were alone, he looked down at you and sighed. "I get that I messed up. I didn't tell you how I felt, even though you were hoping, or expecting me too. I just. I thought they were obvious, but now, I know they weren't at all. And that's my fault. Hearing that you were going to go on a date with James, I got... jealous. And I decided to finally say something."

'Feelings?' 'Jealous?' Your stomach was bursting with butterflies, and your heart beating heavily in your chest. "I...I should have told you, what I felt, maybe then it wouldn't have taken so long."

Ronon smiled down at you as you looked timidly down at your feet. Hooking his finger under your chin, he made you look at him. "I'm sorry I made you wait so long to know for sure. I didn't want to hurt you like that."

You smiled tenderly at him. "I know you didn't."

Taking a step closer, he brought his face down, pressing a kiss to your cheek. You felt your face heat up, as you repressed a grin.

"I'm still curious about something." You said softly.

"What?"

"Why did you go to James before me?"

"I was looking for you, but I ran across him first. I asked if he had talked to you, and he said no. Then he started talking about you, and how much he liked you, and I just... told him that we were together. He assumed that was why you had refused to go out with him, and I just went with it. Afterwards, I went looking for you again, but I guess I was too late, you had found him first."

"And, if he finds out that was a lie?"

"Why does he have to?" He asked with a smile.

You returned his smile, letting out a soft chuckle. "I guess he doesn't."

Ronon gently caressed your cheek with his fingers. "Does that mean that we are...dating, now?"

"Do you want it to?"

"Of course."

"Me too."

His smile grew. "Great. Then we are." Leaning down a bit loser, so his nose nudged yours, he cupped your face with his hand and stared into your eyes.

"Does that mean I can kiss you now?"

You bit your lip lightly before you nodded softly. "Yes."

His eyes scanned your lips as he slowly leaned in, your eyes closed just as his lips pressed against yours.

Slowly, you lifted your arms, wrapping them around his neck as he moved to wrap his arms around you, pulling you flush against his body as he deepened the kiss.

Picking you up off the ground a bit, you broke the kiss with a soft laugh. He grinned at you before setting you back down, bringing both of his hands up and cupping your face and kissing you again.

A sequel to Good Burger is in development at Paramount+.

Both Kenan Thompson and Mitchell are coming back to reprise their respective roles as Dexter Reed and Ed. 

Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who co-wrote the original film and worked on “All That”, serve as writers and executive producers on the sequel. They’ll potentially be joined by James III, who wrote the short-lived 2019 “All That” reboot and is in discussions to join “Good Burger 2.” Phil Traill, a sitcom vet known for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Middle,” will direct the streaming movie, which is scheduled to begin production in May and will premiere later this year on Paramount+.

According to the Paramount+ logline, Good Burger 2 sees Dexter down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.

Good Burger 2 Trailer

Ed and Dex are back in a new Good Burger film. Mega Corp is going to put Mega Good Burgers in cities all over the world. Mega Good Burgers staffed entirely by ROBOTS!

Good Burger II is directed by Phil Traill from a screenplay by Kevin Kopelow, Heath Seifert, and James III. The cast includes Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Jillian Bell, Lil Rel Howery, Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra.

Good Burger 2 hits Paramount+ on November 22, 2023.

Hosts: Dick Thompson and Tatiana Qwartz

Match 1: Avalanche 7 vs. Unit 19G

Location: TWF Commentators Box

Dick: Welcome to an exciting new season of the Thumb Wrestling Federation, brought to you now by No Straight Roads. Hey, Tatiana, how long has it been since the last season of the TWF?

Tatiana: A month, and in all that time, there’s been some changes. The ban on the Sinistras’ presence in the TWF has been lifted so long as they agree to compete with the Sparx, a team who’s tired of the Dextera/Sinistra feud, during this season.

(Author’s Note: This is a reference to Spilled Milk Production’s last TWF season.)

Tatiana: I’m being told there’s a newcomer from this team today; A thumb that belongs to a Lolita wearing gynoid created by a child genius. We’ll have to head on to the match.

Location: The TWF Ring

*Wasabi, N Fuego, Itsy Bitsy, and Unit 19G were playing Splatoon 3 next to the ring’s red corner when the Sparx entered the scene. Unit 19G saw every action Avalanche 7 took and walked up to her.*

Unit 19G: STATE YOUR IDENTITY.

Avalanche 7: Designation: Avalanche 7. My creator, Annabelle Ishikawa, educated me in the sport of Thumb Wrestling; I’m the 3rd ranked Thumb Wrestler in my team, the Sparx.

Wasabi: So you’re the new guys I’ve been hearing about.

Avalanche 7: Affirmative.

Flint: We’ll have you know that we find your feuding to be quite tiresome…

Announcer: In the Blue Corner, fighting for the rebellious Sparx, an engineering marvel from Black Rock, Colorado: Avalanche 7!

Tatiana: I heard she got her name because she was being built during last year’s Stanley Cup Finals. There was a game where the Lightning were losing by 7 points, as I recall.

Announcer: In the Red Corner, fighting for the Mighty Dexteras, a robot who doesn’t need any introduction and has one anyway, Unit 19G!

Dick: He heard that Avalanche 7 wanted to show off her skills and thought that he’d be a most appropriate opponent.

Unit 19G: INITIATING THUMB WRESTLING PROTOCOLS - CODE DEX-2011. OPPONENT’S ADVANTAGE: SUPERIOR TACTICS. MY ADVANTAGE: SUPERIOR COMBAT EXPERIENCE.

Announcer: Sparx, Dexteras, thumbs up, throw down!

Referee: Lock ‘em up!

Avalanche 7 and Unit 19G: Four, three, two, one! Who will be the strongest thumb? / FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE! WHO WILL BE THE STRONGEST THUMB?

*Avalanche 7 and Unit 19G exchange hooks, causing a loud racket in the process. N Fuego, who was spectating the fight, was visibly annoyed. Itsy Bitsy enters the scene in red pajamas, and she’s of the same mind.*

Itsy Bitsy: Hey, try to keep it down, would you?

Unit 19G: YOUR CHASSIS IS BUILT OUT OF THE SAME MATERIALS AS MINE.

Avalanche 7: It’s time to show you what mine can do!

*Whirring can be heard from Avalanche 7’s left side as she uppercuts Unit 19G, knocking a screw out of his head in the process. After another exchange of blows, Round 1 ends.*

Tatiana: A wonderful performance from our newcomer as we go into round 2 of the Sparx’s first match.

Avalanche 7: From one robotic thumb to another, you’re handsome, but that doesn’t mean I won’t crush you like a tin can in my team’s name.

*Unit 19G dodges a series of hooks from Avalanche 7 and blocks 2 more. Avalanche 7, a series of blows that hit Unit 19G, and loud clanking follow suit in this regard not long before Round 2 ends.*

Dick: Unit 19G hasn’t had this big a thrashing since the days when Spilled Milk Productions sponsored the TWF. I remember his loss to The Lost Viking as if it had just happened.

Tatiana: Speaking of The Lost Viking, I wonder where he is…

Unit 19G: IT’S TIME TO END THIS.

Avalanche 7: On that we can agree.

*Avalanche 7 spins like a top around the ring, hitting Unit 19G as she passes by him.*

Dick: I haven’t seen a move like that before.

Tatiana: I’m being told that she calls that move the 360 Degrees of Pain. When she uses this move, she turns into a hard hitting and nigh-unpredictable top. I swear, Unit 19G can’t catch a break. First he loses to The Lost Viking during the Spilled Milk Productions run of the TWF, and now this?

Avalanche 7: How’s this for sending a message?

*Avalanche 7 headlocks Unit 19G and pins him after a brief struggle.*

Tatiana: And there we have it! Avalanche 7 and the Sparx get the first win of the Shocking Season.

Dick: This season, we have a surprise for you viewers at home. Our newly founded TWF Sound Machine has a song they’d like to sing to you.

N Fuego: I’m sure you’ll enjoy this song!
