thinking about how honest the hope is in disco elysium, if that makes sense. how you face consequences for the actions and life you can’t remember. how your nightmares come back and they just might be there to stay. how you still wake up in pain and have to very actively fight off the cravings of your old addictions. how it isn’t easy trying to chose not just life, but living better, living for yourself. how it doesn’t mean any of the problems will go away, or the pain will stop, but it gives you an option other than constant suffering. there’s always a silver lining, it’s just a matter of being able to look up and find it.

hope isn’t always easy, and sometimes it is a choice, but in a torn up world and a torn up body, it’s something. it’s not always pretty or perfect, it’s clumsy and sometimes foolish and hard to keep close, it’s difficult, and maybe it’s all you have but it’s something - streets and sodium lights, the sky, the world, you’re alive

Opinion on Rosegarden? (Ruby/Oscar)?

I was waiting for someone to ask about this one.

Now, I know some folks find Rosegarden creepy because Ozma is currently piggybacking in Oscar’s body. Personally I don’t think it’s creepy, so long as Oscar and Ozma remain separate entities, even if they’re sharing a body. If/when their souls do merge however, then things get… squicky.

But as far as we know that hasn’t happened yet, and the two of them have had some downright adorable interactions. And it’s clear that Oscar is important to Ruby, and we even got a bit of Rosegarden teasing (soaked in angst) when Ruby ‘kills’ Oscar in V9.

They’re super cute together, I’m rooting for things to work out for both of them, and I could see RG being end game for them.

altro punto a sfavore dei Nadia defenders che vorrei precisare in quanto persona allagata irl: la bro è tanto brava buona e misericordiosa mentre Lucio e Valerius sono brutti e cattivi come se lei avesse fatto qualcosa per il quartiere progressivamente sempre più allagato 💀

tbh di questi tre quello con cui ce l'avrei di meno è Valerius per il semplice fatto che il poveraccio è praticamente salito al potere overnight ieri l'altro e nelle situazioni presenti di allagamento è difficile fare qualcosa (l'acqua è ormai alta in molte case, si può evacuare e cercare un modo per arginare i metri d'acqua)... ma in passato sarebbe stato facile sia prevenire sia gestire la situazione in letteralmente qualsiasi altro modo...

Ammetto di essere un po' arrugginit sull'argomento, ma specificano mai QUANDO nella timeline avvenga l'allagamento del distretto? Nel senso se durante Lucio o dopo la sua morte? Potrei sbagliarmi ma ho dei vaghi ricordi di Nadia al Lazzaretto che parla di come Valerius sia stato corrotto (da chi non si sa) per non sistemare delle infrastrutture. Ma appunto non ricordo benissimo, quindi non commento oltre.

Comunque sì, Nadia è comunque un'omertosa di merda. E se Valerius fosse effettivamente corrotto sarebbe un altro punto a suo sfavore come regnante per non averlo calciorotato fuori dal palazzo.
