“You know All Might, as much as you hate me, I think I probably loathe you more. I killed your master, sure, but you took away so much from me. Everything I tried to build. That's why I want you to suffer until your last breath and to die broken in disgrace FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE! I will obliterate everything that you've protected!” - AFO to All Might, Kamino Incident

For the ask game, an AU where Izuku figures out Full Cowl early so All Might, in a fit of parental pride, sends him an internship offer.
All Might 100% doesn't realize how weirdly suspicious this actually is, and makes Shigaraki immediately start wondering if the green haired kid is All Might's kid (assuming he figured Full Cowl out at USJ)
Todoroki is also not the only kid convinced Izuku is All Might's kid, though most don't leap to bastard child what is wrong with you Shouto??? Further not helping is all Bakugou can really remember of Izuku's dad, as he quickly realizes, is tall with light hair. Which fits All Might.
Izuku does have a blast during his internship! They accidentally break two walls! He gets to meet Gran Torino! He gets to watch All Might yell at his former sidekick Nighteye for being an asshole to children(?)
He also gets to meet Star and Stripe. She immediately adores him. She also immediately hits on Inko. She is one of the people who doesn't suspect Izuku is All Might's kid because she knows her former mentor well enough that even if he had a secret kid/marriage she'd have totally seen the photos by now (and is right).
All For One, in light of all of this, decides to make several things very clear including a) Izuku is his kid b) Inko is his wife and c) Star is not only dying because he wants her Quirk but also because she flirted with his wife.
Unfortunately for him he's angry enough to the point of not thinking through how bad an idea it is to pick a fight with both All Might (One For All and capable of damn near killing him six years earlier at near perfect health) and Star (reality warper who does know know his name of All For One).
He ends up a very smashed potato. Shigaraki ends up very pissed off.

(A lot of people love this post. Please follow me for more crazy theories and head canons….puh-lease?)
Everyone is all “Oh, yeah AFO knew the whole time Izuku is his son” etc and so on, blah blah blah.
Now, hear me out:
AFO has NO idea.
He had a relationship with Inko early on, but she found information that her lover may be a villain. She tried to talk to him about it, but he was either always too busy or would try to brush it off. He considered moving on, but the sex was too good and Inko did have such a lovely shade of green eyes. AFO hated to admit that a part of him enjoyed pretending to be an “average” businessman and partake in the art of companionship. Inko begrudgingly lets the Hero Commission know about her suspicions and, while her lover is on a business trip, they greet her at her apartment and inform her that they believe her lover is a infamous villain. They won’t reveal anymore than that as they worry the knowledge would only destroy what safety they plan to give her. Inko, without even getting a chance to say anything to AFO, is whisked away and put under a Witness Protection program. Her last name and origins are completely changed to protect her from AFO. She finds out she’s pregnant soon after and raises her son to believe his father is always on a business trip. She still can’t help but use the first name of her lover when explaining to Izuku about his father: Hisashi.
So, fast forward to the eventual battle between healed AFO and Izuku. Neither know who the other is. AFO goes into a monologue but is suddenly interrupted by a SMACK-chancla to the side of his head. He whirls around and, at first, doesn’t recognize the fuming woman glaring daggers his way until she yells, “Hisashi! You son of a bitch!!!”
And that’s the reveal.

What do you think of Dad for One?
Oh I didn't saw this ask-
Well--
I think that the theory is true.
It make so much sense if it's true. If it's not true, there would be so many unanswered questions!
And it's also the reason I'm still in the fandom- only because of dad for one. I lost interest in the anime but I still interact with the fandom because of dfo!
I love dfo. And if it turn out to be false, I would be really sad. 😭
Anyway, I also love both good dfo and bad dfo. But bad dfo more because of angst >>>>>

DFO headcanon:
What if Inko is the 9th woman AFO experimented genetically with?
And in order to keep track of his offsprings he just gave them number oriented names. So he's name isn't entirely a coincidence.

Mha fic idea #15
(Momo Yaoyorozu-centric 👀)
Midoriya Izuku is ranked fourth out of class 1A (as far as midterms), along with Iida and Bakugou taking second and third respectively.
This is impressive, as UA is an extremely challenging school to get into and these boys have rightfully earned their places with diligent studying and a knack for detailed observation (bordering on obsessive for some).
But the top spot belongs to Momo Yaoyorozu for a reason.
With exception to Nedzu, she's the smartest person in that school and maybe even further beyond that. Every action or inaction she's made has been entirely purposeful, including her lack of confidence in leading her classmates.
She knows much more than she lets on.
She knew of AllMights condition long before Kamino, she knew her class had a target on it's back the moment she saw those villians step out of that portal at the usj, she knew Bakugou wouldn't go villian after being kidnapped, and she knew who would be there waiting for them when they went to rescue him.
She also knew that Midoriya was the seventh, and final, holder of One for All.
She knew all of this, because she didn't belong in the family she'd lived with all her life.
Momo Yaoyorozu was the daughter of the most notorious supervillain, All for One. Her quirk was proof enough of that connection. She steps aside, for now, as her father is largely unaware of her existence and her adoptive family is not at risk. She watches Midoriya closely and ensures he progresses at a good pace without ever directly involving herself.
This is not her story, she knows that.
It's a battle between two brothers and she doesn't fit into that legacy...
If only her smart mind had realized that couldn't have been further from the truth.
(I just want a cool SuperIntelligent!Momo fic where she's kind of holding all the cards and wants to 'play her part' in taking afo down and getting swept up into something much bigger than anticipated)

5 headcanons game: DFO AU where Izuku is a Yakuza boss and anonymously makes deals with AFO
Aaaaaaaaaaand we get another AU where Inko is Pops' adopted daughter.
1.A - So, before Pop's bio daughter left, Chisaki was itching to get more power in the organization. He had plans. He had ideas. But Pops, who has been around long enough, laughs in his face when he starts saying he has plans to destroy the top 5 villains in order to ressurect the yakuza. So the plan was to put Pops in a coma, proves that Chisaki was right, then wakes Pops up so he could see it.
1.B - Chisaki gets his quirk stolen exactly two days later.
1.C - This is pandemonium for the yakuza. Their leader is in a coma. Their leader-in-second is quirkless and having a mental breakdown. Every two-bits villain us hunting them down for sport now that they are weakened. Even the boss' daughter just left! And left her daughter behind, claiming that little Eri had killed her dad even though everyone in the neighborhood knows that Eri's dad has been trying to leave the mafia princess for years but was too scared of what the yakuza would do to him if he did.
2.A - Desperate, they go towards the one who left the nest and never look back. Inko is NOT happy to see twenty yakuza invading her tiny apartment. Her husband knows nothing about her past life! (She conveniently forgets the massive tattoos hidden under her cardigans every time she claims that.) She is just a normal housewife! (Please, pay no mind to the metal needles hidden all over the house.) They must leave now before her son comes back from school! (Izuku has been here for the past ten minutes but can't get home because a bunch of yakuza are blocking the way.)
2.B - "HELP US!" the yakuza cry. "NO!" Inko screams back. "Why don't you do [many illegal stuff a middle student should not know]? Hypothetically speaking.
2.C - Long story short, Izuku started helping the yakuza because he is good at it. "I am leading them away from a criminal life!" he claims. "And yes, sometimes, they break people's legs but only when the others started it!"
3 - You have to understand that Izuku's school life is not great, his mom is worried about him because of the whole quirkless thing and he runs away from his problems by 100% investing himself in the yakuza thing. They have an important job in the ecosystem! They might be assholes but they give stability to areas where heroes don't patrol! It has two, in my opinion, consequences: A. Chisaki is working for Izuku and hating every second of it. B. Izuku keeps getting money by blocking some of AFO's activities.
4 - AFO is losing his mind. He knows that the yakuza have a new boss who is devilishly good at their job but he can't find who? He fought this was Pops but the guy is in a coma?(He checked.) Then, he thought becoming quirkless had made Chisaki smarter? (It didn't.) Every time he is close from finding the thorn in his side, they disappear! It's even worse than tracking an OFA holder!
5 - This is an AU where Chisaki slightly gets his head out of his ass. When he sees Eri and realizes the other morons are the only thing between the toddler and a certain death, he more or less adopts her. He doesn't even like the idea of being a dad but someone made a comment about him not being good at it (Izuku, it was Izuku), so now, he must prove them wrong.
+ 1 - AFO almost manage to grab the secret yakuza boss but not only does the little shot bites him before he escapes but he somehow manages to steal a quirk from him.
+ 2 - Izuku now has Overhaul. Chisaki is furious.
+ 3 - Izuku is terrible at using Overhaul. (Great at destroying stuff, not even passably good at putting them back together.) Chisaki must teach him how to use the quirk. He is even more furious.
+ 4 - A blond skeleton passes out in the neighborhood and wakes up in a house full of yakuza. He is promptly adopted, even by the little one? Which he then learns is their boss? He kinda wants to explain this is a misunderstanding but he is invited to the Sunday cook-outs and he can hang out with them and it's kinda nice?

AFO/Inko headcanon.
Listen guys, i love DFO, i love AFO/Inko ship. But i have several favorite headcanons about that.
One of them is AFO being disguised as "Hisashi Midoriya". From the start, i don't like that, but then i saw Megamind film and my attitude towards that headcanon changed.
Firstly, i must say that Megamind is an underrated film. Its a shame that this film didn't recieve attention it deserves. It may seem as superhero parody, but in reality it contains complicated message and complicated relationship between characters.
Megamind-is a villain, who raised by cruel environment and firmly believed that this is destiny.
But the real message of film is:
There is no destiny. Your environment forms you as a person, but the your own actions and choices determines what kind of person you will be.
So about ship canon AFO/Inko. I believe that If AFO is disguised as Hisashi Midoriya his relationship with Inko will be the same as Roxane/Megamind. The time Megamind disguised as Bernard and approach Roxane changed his life. Because Roxane shows him kind and gentle attitude and he likes it.
The same could be with AFO. Maybe he hide under Hisashi Midoriya identity only to use Inko or there are other reasons. Inko could show him love and compassion he never experienced in his life even from his brother. And this could change him a little. If we add here @marunalu "clon theory". Maybe the reason why AFO wants to retire is Inko.
Inko give the look he was so eager. Inko always look at him. Why need Demon King anymore?
Ordinary salaryman Hisashi Midoriya can recieve that look. But AFO can't leave such easy way, so thats why he prerpare his Grand Finale and make Izuku the greatest Hero..
But thats just a headcanon and a theiry

Hi, Barid! For the ask game, an AU where after Kamino, the heroes explore the hangar and find someone in the vat that looks like the First OFA holder. The vat is broken and it quickly appears that clone or not, this person has Yoichi's memories and personality. Please.
So in the end they never quite get an answer one way or the other. AFO won't say shit, and obviously 'Yoichi' isn't sure either way. They can find records of him being in the vat going back a number of years, but honestly that doesn't mean much when it comes down to it.
The real awkwardness is when a DNA test is done to see if he has any relatives and both Izuku and Shigaraki 'ping'. Surprisingly enough in the case of Shigaraki it's through his mother, and very awkwardly enough for Izuku it's pretty clear he's Yoichi's nephew.
It's immediately decided everyone is pretending they saw nothing in Izuku's case/editing Izuku's files to say his dad is Toshinori. Inko agrees. The real surprise there was the HPSC agreeing to it but honestly they'd like to pretend AFO didn't reproduce as well and if All Might will vouch for the kid he's now All Might's kid and potential problem.
All For One is not very happy about that.
Yoichi is fairly certain he's actually original flavor Yoichi, but the real weirdness is he still seems to have some degree of OFA strength. So whether is brother gave him another stockpile/strength Quirk is up in the air or if OFA is just that fucking weird of a Qiurk
(Bonus) OFA is in fact just that weird of a Quirk.
(Bonus #2) AFO is in fact not aware that Shigaraki is descended from his brother.

I think people just hate Endeavor so much and are too attached to old headcanons. I don't like Endeavor too, but I think Dabi's canon dynamic with Endeavor is far more interesting than fanon as fanon just removes all the nuance here.
Dabi isn't the only character to suffer from fandom being too attached to old headcanons, AFO suffers from people being attached to good dad for one headcanons back from 2020, despite all we have learned about him as a person.
i used to despise Endeavor but I still found him worthy of exploration. These days I'm more just thinking he's very pathetic and I think he's still interesting. As an allegory for Japanese fatherhood and masculinity, which I suspect he is, I think he works really well.
I just struggle with how much wasted potential there is in not even trying to give canon a chance. And yeah, like this is the problem with DFO die hards and people who just misread Tomura, or just people not willing to accept recent characterization. So much of the story makes even more sense in hindsight, so why discard it?

Sorry for constantly messaging you, but I have a headcanon for us DFO lovers!! The reason why Hikage “scarificies” himself to Tomura is not because he wants to protect the vestiges. It’s because Hikage doesn’t want to deal with the DFO reveal and took the only chance he would get to escape the situation. It’s not too far-fetched considering his social anxiety. Also, the rest of vestiges tell Izuku about Hikage being ghost-napped growling. They know the real reason Hikage left, but if they yell, Izuku would get suspicious, so they quietly rage and swear to double murder Hikage. Also yes, this means Hikage would rather be with AFO and Tomura than tell Izuku about his dad.
It's great for Dad for One lovers but I think this also works great for my super not canon compliant Dad for Hikage AU. Hikage fled rather than fess up to Izuku.

Headcanon for AFO - @psychomurderz
I also agree that he seems like someone that grew up too young likely as a result of caring for his little brother. As well as the climate during the Dawn of Quirks so there weren't any other families as even he mentioned as such in the flashback.
Tumblr media
The comics he read with his little brother was likely an escape from reality thus why he clung to them. Until he realized his favorite character wasn't going to live. As likely he considered himself the 'badguy' before even becoming bad. Living in such an environment is likely to create someone with a more black-and-white view.
Tumblr media
Also it one of those things where you never learn to rely on others or ask for help either. Which is likely why everyone at arm's length as never learned to be genuinely help.
However, like you I believe he wanted to do GOOD. So to speak considering the environment he likely was seeking control as a way to help. To protect himself and his only family was his first priority but his followers, while second, he did also want to protect. As it seems they genuinely adore him so I feel he does show something like genuine care.
But the reality is cruel. It isn't like the comics where 'heroes' and 'good intentions' win out. People will die, people will betray him, and the more failures the more he hardens himself. Just a bit more, just a little more and he will come out on top.
Tumblr media
While his little brother can only see that this whole organization is TWISTING the brother he cared about. Or maybe he was always this twisted. The smiles his brother had weren't genuine but his brother was obsessed with his idea. He refused to stop but instead got paranoid of his brother's well-being.
Tumblr media
Leading to him shutting his brother into a vault, literally! In his mind it likely because he thinks he can fix their relationship after. That everything would be ok as long as doesn't get emotional about it.
Then his brother escapes... Then he dies but not just die. It is very much his own fault and likely it is what killed most of his humanity.
Tumblr media
Like his soul had just been scooped out just running on autopilot toward a goal that likely felt hollow. Pursuing the quirk, the only remaining piece of his little brother. Even if likely didn't fully understand about vestige it all he got.
This man feels like he basically lived as a corpse likely the doctor's research helped him keep going but might have wanted to quit. 200-years is a long time for someone who is in fact human. He wished to be dehumanized, to be seen as a monster, because then they won't attack the things he cares about. Then he become a real one when had nothing.
...Which makes the DFO theory if it is true, be something he hadn't expected to occur. In Izuku's name, he was called the long-awaited son just like Hisashi's name is a long time ago. Likely it was started with evil intentions if Inko a Shimura, he likely thought he could bail-
Only to realize no. He can't just give them up and that likely is terrifying as well as joyful. For a man who had thought he lost his humanity, that all he wanted was his brother's quirk and world domination. NOW there is a purpose beyond that.
And it's why he got Tomura and became active. And the hatred he feels for All Might only growing.
He's a lost, delusional, and unhappy man. Who is seeking his own happiness desperately but at the same time blind to it. Instead causing more harm and pain even to loved ones because is too selfish to give up anything.
And I'm excited to learn more about this man.
