Hi, so...

It’s Black History Month, and this is part of my continued effort to use my platform to try to get more kudos for Black AO3 writers who deserve your love and kudos this month. It’s obviously a small reflection of a pretty big and complex group, but I hope this will help get some more eyeballs on deserving fics. If anyone wants off the list, please let me know.

Most kudos: An X Reader called “A Confession To Make”. It only has 7 kudos but hey, it’s something.

Most comments: “Do I Have A Secret Santa?”, a self ship fic. Technically, it only has 2 comments- a comment from a guest and my reply to them. 😅

Most bookmarks: It only has 2 bookmarks, but my 30 Day OTP Challenge fic collection

Favorite fic I’ve written: My YumeWeek 2020 ficlet collection. It was kind of exhausting writing everyday, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Fic you want to rewrite/ expand on: I really want to rewrite my Splatoon fanfiction. Rather than focusing on the main story, I really want to focus more on the character’s personalities and dynamics. 

Share a bit of a WiP: This is from an upcoming TomoHaru fic I’m working on for Femslash February. Dunno if I’ll get it done before February ends, but I’m taking it one day a a time.

Too awake to go to bed, the composer got in the mood for a warm cup of milk to soothe her nerves. She quickly returned her bedroom with the milk, which was sweetened with honey and cinnamon.

As she swallowed a large gulp, Haruka’s eyes glanced over at her cellphone; it faintly glowed on the small dresser next to her bed.

We have been texting each other while she’s away, Haruka reflected, her fingers lightly twitching as she gripped her cup. It’s been nice talking to her...but it’s not the same as hearing her voice...

Haruka was never quite comfortable with answering phone calls; she was no better at making them either. She was too busy worrying about stuttering, saying something wrong, or getting hung up on for being a bother.

A part of her wanted to call Tomochika- just to see how it was doing. Haruka just missed her too much. She must’ve gotten an adrenaline rush from the surgary milk, because Haruka found herself snatching her phone and quickly dialing her girlfriend’s number.
