Sorry I haven't been posting new comics. Someone important to me died and it has left a hole in my heart. Taking time to grieve and remember.
After drawing this diary comic, a friend shared with me that cardinals are associated with cherished memories of loved ones we have lost who will never be forgotten.
Thanks for reading.
[4-panel diary comic of a girl with a bun leaning against a tree, grieving the loss of a friend. "I lost a dear friend...and it hurts a lot." Panel 2 is a rough sketch of a Central Park path under a crescent moon with a cityscape in the background, drawn from memory. Text reads: "Time is so short." Panel 2 shows a cardinal bird sitting on a branch. Text reads: "Let me love and cherish every moment." Panel 4 zooms back in to the girl leaning against a tree: "It's all that matters."]

Being stuck inside for most of this year, I've been feeling a lot of nostalgia for little magical moments in nature from my childhood. I would love to see fireflies again one day! Was there ever a moment in your childhood that felt like actual magic?

Hey! Um, this is a comic I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now, but wasn’t sure how to even go about it. I wanted originally to just make a comic about like “my depressed life haha lol but also here’s some real shit” but I still wanted to share like… the beginnings of it and maybe ways for other people to relate/get help.
Uh, anyway. I’m hoping to make more in the future. o/

Panel 1: After dropping out because of illness, I hoped I would one day go back and finish my degree.
Panel 2: But by the time it was possible for me, I'd become a different person with different dreams.
Panel 3: My younger self would be disappointed. I'm closing the door on her dreams.
Panel 4: But I won't live for someone else even if it's someone I used to be.]

Did you like finding shapes in different patterns of wood/carpets/etc as a kid? It's actually a fun drawing exercise as well - finding fun shapes in your surroundings and then drawing them into something like a character design. As a kid this sometimes turned out badly for me when I would see something that looked scary haha. The last panel is a bit of an exaggerated pattern of flowers on the wallpaper that I once saw as a kid XD. I remember staring at it while trying to sleep and being very worried that it's a real monster hiding amongst the flowers.

A pet peeve of mine that happens ALL THE TIME. It is so FATIGUING!!!!!!! Why are men so allergic to women holding the door for them, it’s ridiculous.
The amount of times I’ve had to eventually cave in and walk around the man to go through the door can be counted on more than two hands
