Trivia Murder Party (I won) with pals & a ton more Dice Throne with the Dungeons and Dragons squad! I didn’t get to film D&D but it was a longer 6 hour session and we had dinner together. We had a Mean Girls movie night in the Discord :) Monday we took advantage of the holiday to go visit my Opa [grandfather] who just had his 4th major stroke and is permanently hospitalized now. He’s a fighter that’s for sure! It was 4-5 hours of driving in one day but very worth it! ♡

We had regular Monday board gaming yesterday! Yay! Everyone who usually shows up, showed up, and we were able to get a few fun games in.

First, we played Dice Throne. I have mixed feelings on this one, but it's still a good time. It's a bit too aggressive for my tastes. Also, some of the characters have rules that are a bit complicated for the relatively simple Yahtzee style game play mechanics. But, those complications do lead to some interesting decisions. Like I said, I have mixed feelings. I definitely know why it's beloved by so many.

I requested a simple character, and the owner of the game handed me the ninja. Everyone at the table hated me because I kept dodging all their cool attacks.

Next up, we played a game of Carcassonne: Winter Edition.

We threw in the Gingerbread man just because. R. won because she managed to create a massive farm, like she always does. J. and I spent too much time fighting over this one large city.

Lastly, we played Canvas. I had been eyeballing this one for some time. It's a painting themed game where players are tasked with creating three paintings with four different requirements. It has these cool plastic cards that you have to mix, match, and overlap to get the best combos. It's tricky, puzzly, and pretty to look at.

The one complaint I have, and it's a minor one, is that the art you want to make, doesn't always line up with the goals. This leads to some odd compositions and is sometimes disappointing, because you'll have an image you really want with another image or background, but it wouldn't be worth anything. Not a big deal, ultimately, but it did lead to a few mournful sighs towards the end of the game.

Ok, I've left myself plenty of time today, so

4 we tried to use our patch fix roller furling today, but couldn't get it to work with the sail on it so. :/

2 When I get married, I hope my mother in law is better than my mother's mother in law.

3 Sing 2 was pretty good, but the songs weren't as good as the first one imo.

4 Dice throne is pretty fun, you should try it.

Finally

5 If you have the capability, please try to do something about Roe v Wade. It's about more than abortion and it applied to many other important topics including birth control and gay marriage.
