Trying to articulate how exactly I feel about Gansey is really impossible. Reading his POV is like reading a transcription of my brain. Sometimes he says things that I don’t think I could’ve even have tried to come up with. I want to be more like him, which is to say I want to be more like Adam. He’s smart and brave and determined. He’s stuck-up and condescending. He doesn’t mean it, though. He never means it. I want to reach through the pages and shake him, but I also kind of hope that when I do, something falls out. Just thinking about him has made me tear up before. He commands the attention of every person in every room he walks into. They all love him and hate him in equal part for it. He’s a massive loser. I can’t talk about him because if I do I’ll go insane, probably. His car is so stupid. I love him so much. He’s allergic to wasps.

Bluesy at college just seems so funny to me bc like. You just see this dude wearing a coral polo with khakis and boat shoes and his Gucci watch or whatever and then he sits down next to the girl who has like 50 weird buttons on her pack and a dress made out of ten different kinds of fabric and instead of fighting they start making out. Wild.

Shout out to Mr. and Mrs. Gansey for giving their son such an completely terrible name that no version of his first or middle name was even remotely usable.

“As always, there was an all-American war hero look to him, coded in his tousled brown hair, his summer-narrowed hazel eyes, the straight nose that ancient Anglo-Saxons had graciously passed on to him. Everything about him suggested valor and power and a firm handshake.” - Maggie Stiefvater, The Raven Boys
