Hal: it's weird not having Barry here...
Arthur: we have Wally, they are basically carbon copies of themselves.
Oliver: yeah, and you see Barry off work so there's should be no missing him.
Hal: I don't know, it's just weird. He's just so young taking care of his role in the Titans, taking care of both Keystone and Central City, and now taking over his uncle role here it's got to be exhausting for him.
Bruce: he's also working for me.
Them:
Clark: he's what?
Bruce: working for me, well he's been working for me helping out Alfred with patching us up and babysitting for me. Apparently he wants to pay back Allen for all he's done.
Hal: how much are you paying him?
Bruce: 100 an hour for the medical training, 130.56$ an hour for babysitting.
Hal: damn...
Diana: good for him, how long has he been working for you?
Bruce: since he was 15.
Arthur: why does he feel like he needs to repay Barry? Doesn't sound like he would do that to him...
Bruce: he just said he needs to pay for his own keep being a second speedster he worried he was hurting them with the food he needed, now he just do it to help the other speedsters and the Allen's. They saved it for his college so.
Diana: good for Wally, I'm very proud of him.
Oliver: but damn that's a lot on one person...
Dick, carrying a very boxes: that's why he has us.
Roy, carrying several weapons: and the Titans and Dick's siblings.
Bruce: ... We should stop them..
Clark: no, Roy found the kryptonite sword... We should let them be.
Wally, in his seat now: hey, sorry I'm late! Big line at the doughnut shop. *Put the box on the table* I got everyone favorite! So what were you talking about while waiting?
Hal, hugging his nephew: nothing really, now did you get my bear claw?
Wally: yep. Also why are Dick and Roy taking weapons out of here?
Clark, eating an old fashioned: don't worry about it.
(me and @renwilson talked about this, we hitting off on each other lol love ya bestie 💕)

The Blacklist AU where cop-recently-turned-FBI agent Dick Grayson is called in by the assistant director after the infamous crime lord known as the Red Hood surrenders, offering himself as a criminal informant, but he'll only speak to Grayson. Instead of bringing up points about Elizabeth's father's criminal past, he reveals that he knows the Bats' identities. On Jason's side, everything happens like in canon until a little past the incident at Titans Tower, because then he feels bad for what's going on with the family, so he decides to put himself in the picture, without them knowing, of course. In addition, it's not Tom that's on the ventilator, it's Tim. And it's all because of the Red Hood, so Dick hates him for it. He's injured worse than in canon, but Jason does actually feel bad about it.

When Damian first comes to the manor
Damian: The more you love, the weaker you are
Dick: Strength sounds like a lonely existence
Damian: Wh-what?
Dick, looking at Batfamily and all his friends: if that is the case, I would hate to be strong. I think maybe weakness isn't a bad thing. If you love people, and they love you, you can choose to be weak because you know you don't have to be strong. Maybe weakness is a sign you are loved.
Damian: *takes a step back, his mouth opening and closing, nothing coming out*
Damian: *runs away into an obscure hiding place to question everything he knows for the next few hours*

You're summoning me with exbf mentions. Exbf!Dick?
Exbf!Dick, where you were together for so long that your friend groups overlapped and now even fresh off the breakup, you can't avoid him even if in passing stories.
It's the stuttering stories people try to work around when they forget in the heat of the moment and have to dance around his name and wonder if they should switch tracks to segue into another topic. The way they always leave the empty seat across in a booth meant for two people while they squish in three on their side because they forget and one awkwardly slides in with you after you sit, elbows knocking the whole meal.
You can't avoid him in your favorite places even. The places you would regularly go would ask where your boyfriend is when you first start going alone.
Maybe you start hanging out with your friends at the same time after a while because yeah, it sucks it hurts and sucks, but it isn't your friends fault. They deserve all their friends when they want. So you hear his laugh, strained and tinged with just a hint of high society to get him through this while you're left as far away from him as you can get as soft as you can be to hear as much of his voice as you can. Fake cadence and all.
Only he is doing the same, so neither of you hear anything but laughter. The small bits of fake laughter tide you through the outing but not through anything else because it sounded so fake.
Exbf!Dick, where you're both unable to forget because no one seems to be letting you heal inadvertently and you're left yearning.
mayday mayday mayday. im going down wailing and crying and cursing you out!!
it easy to forget that breakups don't always just include you. that sometimes when you integrate someone into your life, they also move into the lives of those around you. and when you break up, there's not just one hole inside you. there's a hole no matter where you go, there isn't an escape from it.
and how hard is it, to try and heal from something when the wound is left open?
your friends still maneuver around him like he's an active part of your life. like he's going to walk through the door as if nothing has changed. they say his name and still laugh at inside jokes and it hurts so bad you want to cry. and it's not always the worst part. the worst part is the backtracking, the pitying looks, the apologies.
you're reminded of him everywhere you go.
and when you see him again. when your lives overlap through those you love? its impossible not to notice all those things you learnt about him. the tone of his voice when he's tired, when he's happy, when he slips behind the same mask he does when he's hurting, when he's grieving.
you hang at the fraying edges of him. anything closer than that just reminds you of what you no longer have. you don't sit beside him anymore. you sit opposite. and if your knees touch under the table? well, that's between you and him alone, its not the only secret you'll take to the grave.
you're close enough to touch each other, but the gap is endless, and maybe there's some wounds that just can't heal.
