Y/N is 5 months pregnant with Wally's baby. She confronts her husband after he becomes distant from her.

The news of her pregnancy was a complete delight to not only the Wayne family(adopted included) and the Allen's but also to the team. During the news of her pregnancy Wally was overjoyed but as she began to show more..

He barely touched her. Barely even looked at her. She had enough and she needed answers before she exploded at him. Y/N stands with her arms folded looking to Wally who had guiltily expression on his face.

"do you even want to have a baby Wally? Because these last few weeks you barely even look at me. You avoid talking about names. You haven't gone with me to my appointments in weeks... You have to be honest with me!"

"I.. I..I.. I know" he didn't know what to say or how to form the right words of how truly scared he is "I.. I don't know how... To say.. "

"well until you do. Don't sleep with me!" she snapped tears running down her face

Wally feels absolutely sick. Damaged as she slammed their bedroom door shut.. He speeded out of their home. He stood in front Roy's house. He knew Grayson would worry too much and is too close to Barbara who is close to Y/N. Barry was currently off planet with a justice league mission. Roy was more of his older brother figure over the years. He didn't feel like running his emotions out.

It's 2:45 a:m. He moved his hand to ring the doorbell. He then stopped realizing Lian is probably asleep right now.. Oh right Lian. Best she doesn't see her uncle like this. He sits on the step to the porch.

"get your shit together West" he sighed to himself with a bitter laugh while pinching the bridge of his nose.

Donna Harper maiden name Troy wakes as she heard footsteps on their porch. She shakes her husband's shoulder

"hmm already ready for round two Don" he yawned with a smirk

She roll her eyes scoffing "not that! I hear someone on our porch Roy"

"what?.." he said still not registering what his wife said.

"oh for the love of--" he cut her off

"relax Don I got it now"

Roy sat up and pulled up the security camera to the front porch.

"Wally?" the couple both said

Roy quickly gets out of the bed. She followed suit putting on her robe as Roy put on his sweatpants. Roy and Don step to the kitchen. He opens the fridge grabbing two drinks with a box of cold leftover pizza. Don kisses his lips.

"you know the drill"

Wally hears the entrance door open and then heard the door shut.

"couldn't have called us West?" he asked with a soft laugh "you ok kid?"

He sits next to him and offers the drink to him. He gives Wally the box of pizza! He snatched the box opening it and grabbed a piece. He began to devour the pizza. Wally swallow hard and put the empty box behind him. Wally drinks some of the beverage

"what's going on kid?" Roy further questioned his deeply stressed friend

Wally ran his fingers through his short red hair "I'm not in the mood to fucking talk about my feelings Roy" Wally scoffed lying. He did, he needed to confide in his brother.

"when you gonna stop lying to me kid? I told you can trust me" Wally then began thinking back to when he was getting abused by his dad.. The source of what was bothering him.. Roy was there for Wally. He always is.

Angered he extend his arm glaring off in the distance "it's not that fucking simple Roy. I promised her I was happy but--" he sighed heavily his throat shaking

"Wally you two will work things out" he said with a shrug to his shoulders "she loves you enough to put up with you"

"I don't want to be him ok" Wally said shallow breath "I look at her and I think about the baby. Then my joy is absolutely ripped away as I think about..."

"West.. You're--" he cut him off

"don't, just don't." he hissed "I'm fine Roy. I acted like a complete dumbass. I deserve to feel like this" his voice broken

"no your not and no you don't. Wally listen to me man. Just tell her what's going on. It's not gonna stop hurting but it will get easier" Roy promised him.

"I am so fucked up right now Roy. I keep having nightmares of me turning into.. Him" Wally lightly shakes his head being honest with himself "I don't know how.. " he feels so broken. Like he's sick. He takes another gulp of his drink "I am going to lose her" he strutted clenching his face.

"go home West, be honest with her.." Roy yawns taking the empty drinks and boxed pizza. Wally gently nodded taking his friends advice "well I'm exhausted some kid-idiot woke me up" he sarcastically said Roy stands ruffling Wally's hair like he did when he was a kid "go home, talk to your wife. Fix this. You're gonna be a great Dad Wallman. You're great with kids and honestly you're not ever going to be like him"

As he opens the door "you got me out of the storm again Red" Wally thanked

"I'm always here to be your therapist but try to come at normal hours.."

It's 4 o'clock in the morning. Y/N sits on the recliner chair rubbing her bump lovingly. She had fresh tears running down her face. Y/N feels a gush a wind seeing Wally with food from her favorite restaurant. He knew the baby always was kicking at this time of night and she would be having cravings.

"I know I've severely fucked up, I know this won't fix it"

He fixes her a plate and a glass of water. Wally gave her the plate of food and sat the glass on the coffee table. Wally sits on the couch still trying to convince himself he won't ever be like his parents. Y/N finished her plate of food. Wally speeded to take, her plate to the sink and clean it.. Then he puts, it away and comes back to sit on the couch.

"do you not want the baby?" she asked yet again trying not to sob "are you not happy anymore?"

The speedsters heart physically heavies. He made her feel like that. Wally shakes his head as his eyes became glassy. Wally kneels beside her taking her hand and gently kisses the palm of her hand.

"babe I am so sorry I made you feel like I wasn't happy with you.. I couldn't be happier. I just am scared.. Of hurting you and our baby" his eyes shake. He tried so hard to keep from crying. He stuttered choking back a cry "I'm so scared of becoming him Y/N... I didn't know how to tell you.. I just tried to block all my emotions and ignore them.. I don't want to hurt you or our baby.. Because I love you.. And our baby so much. If anything would ever happen to you or our baby it'd kill me"

She takes his hand.. With so much love and a hint of sympathy. How is she still in love with him?

"Wally, you're my love. You are so much full of light and love.. You are nothing like him. You are my other half and I love you. Our baby will love you"

She pulled him closer into a hug. He lays on her chest letting himself cry. He kisses her bump feeling the baby kick for the first time. Then guilt hits her hard enough to make her cry.

"I should have told you sooner I just you'd been distant from me and I.."

"what's wrong? Is something wrong with the b-baby?" he asked his voice became heavier as a tear falls down.

"I'm not pregnant with just one baby" she admits

A wide smile came to his lips.

Months later...

It was late in the night Wally was cuddled up next to his wife after patrol with Nightwing. She had just told him to be quiet so he didn't wake up their son. As Wally finally felt rested he hears a gentle cooing sound from the baby monitor.

Wally speeded into the nursery. He lifts his daughter into his arms. He loved to hold her. To hold his son.. He loved them so much it was better than getting struck by lightning, better than anything. The fact that his wife went through what she did to bring them into the world.. He began to cry. He never thought he could feel so much adoration and love.

Barbara Gordon fans who don’t interact with her whole history always amuse me. “Well Oracle is better anyway” I agree, but just because she’s better as Oracle doesn’t mean that her history with everyone else should be ignored because she drastically changes other characters’ histories when you do. Dick Grayson has like 80 years of comic history that gets ignored for Barbara Gordon. Suddenly Barbara is the best friend. Barbara is the one that he’s always loved. Barbara is the one he can confine in despite their Robin and Batgirl days being very few issues with hardly any substance. And any actual in issue problem where Dick actually shows interest in other women that aren’t Barbara are ignored. The majority of DB shippers are Barbara Gordon fans which means it is easy for them to ignore a majority of Dick’s history and it is easy to see why he’s seen as the catch, he’s the ONLY love interest Barbara Gordon fans care about (despite her being interested and even married to other people) because of his popularity but also because Chuck Dixon specifically wanted to write Dick as a heartthrob (he said this in an interview) because it was what woman liked therefore any actually issues that Dick went through or anything that made actually layered and a fleshed out character got chucked out the window.

They always forget that Dick’s best friend is Donna and Wally, Dick’s always loved Kory, Dick is so much more than his relationship with Barbara as Barbara is so much more than her relationship with Dick

They intertwine these two characters with each other so much in the comics and then the bat fandom makes it so much worse to the point where it’s disappointing to even consume the media cuz it just feels forced

And don’t even get me started on the whole “batfamily”. While the concept is cute, it’s only cute in fanon because making Barbara Dick’s best friend/lover erases his actual family which is the teen titans. It ruins everything Dick became after he was shoved out by Bruce with the Titans and just regresses his character so badly.

Dick is more than Barbara Gordon. Dick is more than Bruce’s “son”. Dick is more than Robin. He’s Dick Grayson, leader of the teen titans, best friend of Donna and Wally, lover of Koriand’r. He’s Nightwing. He’s been Nightwing for a long time, people need to realize this

IX / Damian Wayne - Robin

1 - Say “thank you” when Pennyworth becomes an useful assistance to provide meals or help for my homeworks. 2 - Call Brown “Fatgirl” less often. It’s no longer funny: the nickname makes her laugh now, and people who hear it for the first time ask me why I call her fat when her body structure corresponds to a perfect beauty standard. I need to find something else. 3 - Admit I love hanging out with Grayson. He is very nice. 4 - Ask Nygma to clarify his intentions regarding father: is he engaged in a courtship ritual or not? If so, I shall test him to see if he is worthy to become father’s new mate. 5 - Adopt another rooster. 6 - Tell Grayson and Gordon I will be an incredible uncle when they decide to procreate and spread their DNA. 7 - Convince Nygma to pet Titus sometimes, he may be a cat he has no reason to be scared of all dogs. 8 - Prove Gotham I can be the ultimate Robin. 9 - Prove Father I make good use of his teaching.

The door thuds behind him before he slides the deadbolt home, and his keys hit the counter with a disjointed jangle before they slide to a halt. Tim lets out a breath as he toes off his shoes, and then he’s making a beeline for his couch to deposit himself on it, all loose limbs flailing every which way. Flopped sideways, he digs through his pocket for his phone as it chirps and a text alert from Dick greets him, one of the few notifications that has any merit that isn’t a weather or news alert. He swipes through a couple before finally settling on Dick’s name and pressing the camera icon. His own face stares back at him as it rings, and he grimaces a little at the front-facing camera and the awkward angle.

“Oh no, here comes trouble,” Dick says as he answers, to which Tim pulls a face. There’s tuft of dark hair under his chin, and it takes him a moment before he realizes it’s his son.

“You were the one who texted me first,” Tim says by way of greeting. Dick rolls his eyes and shifts as John snuffles; he adjusts his grip, holding his phone out a little farther so that the side of John’s head comes into view.

“Yeah, but you answered.” His head tilts to glance down at the newborn and Tim finds himself mirroring him, head twisting against the couch cushion. John’s tiny fingers curl gently against his shirtfront.

Tim opens his mouth and then pauses, closing it again. His brow furrows a little. “What’s that noise in the background?”

Dick sighs. “Barbara wanted to watch Dirty Dancing,” he pans the camera to the other side of the couch where Barbara curls against the arm, dozing and neck bent at an angle that might hurt soon, “and clearly it’s riveting.”

Tim has to hold back a laugh. “Clearly. Meanwhile, you’re sitting here answering phone calls.”

“I could have ignored you,” he comes back with. “She’s also a light sleeper, but I think we’ve learned to tune one another out sometimes unless it’s an emergency.” He tilts his phone a little bit in John’s direction. “Now this little guy makes any kind of noise and we both jolt. I think he knows it too.”

“Sounds like things are going well on your end then,” Tim says, swinging his legs over the back of the couch. He almost drops his phone.

“As well as can be expected, I guess.” The music kicks up a little, and Dick glances up at a screen Tim can’t see and then at Barbara. “You stopped watching this an hour ago, didn’t you?”

“I can hear you,” comes a murmur from the other end of the couch. Dick glances her way and his eyes crinkle a little in the corners. By John’s cheek, Tim spies a small spot of drool on his shirt.

“Hi Barbara,” Tim says, trying to be loud enough she can hear him through the phone speaker but not loud enough to wake the sleeping infant. As she murmurs again in response, he pauses before his mouth breaks into a grin: “Is she still mean and hogging the remote?”

Dick stills and then tries not to jostle the baby too much as he laughs. Barbara groans, though he can hears a little humor in it. He holds the camera to show Barbara squinting at them both. Tim can’t see her glasses anywhere. She pulls a face at him with no heat to it.

“Calling just to bully a lady who just had a baby? That’s a new low for you, Timothy.” Tim hisses.

“Oh, she broke out the full name. Yikes.” He sits up a little. “And here I was going to offer my babysitting services.”

Barbara laughs and Dick rolls his eyes. “Sure you were.”

“I was!”

“We’ll add you to the roster,” Dick tells him. John curls against him.

“Good, good,” Tim says around a smirk. “I expect to be the favorite uncle and your go-to for everything.”

“Good luck with that one,” Dick says with a laugh while Barbara says, “I don’t know, I kind of like him.”

In the fics that you have read does Barbara ever like really try to have kids or like go through a process of trying to have kids? I love the idea that she’s infertile because there are people who are infertile but the idea of trying so hard to have children and etc also makes me so sad? Especially since being infertile is frowned upon and seen as this sad thing because DOESN’T EVERYONE WANT CHILDREN? Barbara never read to me as someone who really wanted to have children, like she might have been sad that the choice was taken from her but she also wouldn’t have put herself through all these steps to have a child physical with her own body no matter how much she loved her partner.

One did but honestly most either were she didn’t want kids which. Yeah. Or dick was gonna adopt anyway so it’s moot which. Yeah 😭

admittedly im not even a dickbabs fan (my ideal dynamic for them is snarky flirty exes ala batgirl 2009) but are dc aware that they’re also like…. friends. like they care about each other platonically and there’s genuine foundational respect in their relationship? like they both have separate support systems but they also like…. like each other? outside of dating? they were two uniquely powerful and connected people that had more influence than bruce like that’s an interesting character beat, no? they were sharing custody of three kids and a worldwide network at one point like give me something to chew on here outside of substanceless banter and hammering in that babs is batgirl ffs

Some Toxic Dickbabs moments that happened in canon. (LONG POST)

so i saw a dickbabs shipper talking crap about dickkory saying they're the most toxic nightwing ship? and they also claim dickbabs is the most healthiest ? it's ironic considering I've seen many dickbabs comic panels where dickbabs is being toxic towards each other plenty of times in the canon comics. Looks like Tom Taylor wants to brainwash people and make them believe that Dickbabs is such a perfect healthy loving couple since day 1, when that hasn't been true at all before he was put in charge of the nightwing comics to write dickbabs wattpad fanfiction in the book every single issue, this ship has done nothing but damage both characters even in tom taylor's run Dick is turned into a happy go lucky himbo who is incapable of accomplishing anything on his own without being monitored and babysat by barbara 24/7.

Anyways let's proceed with dickbabs history of being a toxic couple.

Remember those times where Barbara physically and verbally assaulted him when he was only trying to be nice and polite. She yelled at him, called him stupid, a crybaby and beat him up.

Also they keep calling Kory a victim blamer for something that happened once in over 30 years ago but ignore the fact that Babs has victim blamed him and slutshamed him multiple times in the modern comics when he was sexually assaulted and raped by Tarantula and when he got shot in the head by the Joker.

Dick just got raped by Tarantula and was traumatized by what happened but instead of comforting Dick, she has the nerve to mockingly say Dick likes his rapist. her jealousy always clouds her judgement.

I'm sorry But Barbara is canonically a victim blamer and a slutshamer. Don't forget how she also insults and slutshames other women like Helena when she gets jealous of the other women in Dick's life. She called dickhelena a cheap one nightstand even though Dick clearly told Helena he doesn't do casual sex and and she mocked Kory and refused to help her on a mission when her people were dying.

so yeah let's get back to her history with victim blaming Dick. She victim blamed him again after he got shot in the head and had an amnesia and when his memories was restored, she lashed out at him for forgetting about her when he had an amnesia.

And remember that time when Bludhaven was burned down and Dick lost his apartment, he came to Barbara to ask if he can stay at her place but she kicked him out of her apartment the next day. She's totally fine with him being homeless but dickbabs shippers claim babs has always been very loving and supportive towards him while calling Kory a slut.

Even in elseworld stuff she treats him like garbage. Aside from cheating on Dick with Batman and getting pregnant with Batman's baby in the BTAS universe, she's also very emotionally abusive to him in comics where dickbabs shippers brag about them having a kid in it like in whiteknight.

Barbara was always out there acting like a toxic judgemental domineering bitch in the modern canon comics, Barbara behaved like this consistently for more than 30 years but Kory is the one we should crucify over something that she did only once from 30 years ago 🙄 Did they crucify Barbara too when she was ableist to Cass and called her stupid because she can't read.

And they call Kory a sexual assaulter? Because she kissed him when they first met. Did they forgot that Kory was an alien, she was clueless about Earth laws when she first came to earth, she didn't know that you're actually not supposed to kiss someone without their consent, she had no clue that it was considered inappropriate and she kissed him not to sexually assault him but for her to learn english. Her people can learn other languages through kissing and Kory didn't learn anything about Human law until she officially joined the teen titans, so you can actually excuse her for her behavior what's not excusable is Barbara who was a human being who studied law for years, but still has the nerve to commit a sexual crime. As always, She violated Dick's personal privacy, she put camera on his apartment so she can enjoy watching him naked without his consent. Look it up on google the crime is called voyeurism. Barbara would considered a creepy criminal by human law. I'm not surprised considering I always think of her as a type of gf who has no respect for her partner's personal space especially when she's Oracle, She never respected Dick's privacy even in tom taylor's run, she keeps monitoring his every move in her computer, she always invades his personal space. Dick is trapped in this relationship. It's not a good relationship if you constantly watch your partner's every move and if you keep following your partner around like a dog wherever he goes.

Many people think Dickbabs is such a healthy because of Tom Taylor's run. I think for someone who is a huge dickbabs shipper like tom taylor it's expected he's gonna try to convince people to believe that to to sell his favorite ship but in reality even in Tom Taylor's run Dickbabs relationship is pretty toxic and forced. It's toxic when your partner doesn't respect your privacy, when your partner constantly stalks and keeps an eye on you on every single thing that you do, when you wanna talk to other people but she's there lurking in her computer listening to your conversations with other people, when she puts a camera on your mask so she can always see what you see and hear what you hear, as if you're not a real human being who needs your own privacy, and constantly follows you around like a dog, like Barbara does to him every single issue. It really is a sign of an abusive relationship when there is no respect. How is Tom Taylor's Nightwing good when the book keeps destroying Dick's independece by having Barbara stuck to him like a leech 24/7 . The book is called Nightwing but Tom Taylor turned it into a Nightwing and Batgirl fanfiction series where 90% of the time Dick hasn't done anything on his own and where his IQ is chopped off in half to prop up Barbara as the smarter woman in their relationship. Dick can't even handle his own missions without constantly being babysat by Barbara in her computer like a sidekick who needs to be watched 24/7.

Poor Dick he became Nightwing to stop being Batman's sidekick and be independent only for Barbara to take away his independence and treat him like a sidekick again. Dickbabs has always been a toxic ship in any kind of form.

and don't forget Tom Taylor himself is a toxic misogynist slutshamer. He keeps throwing shade on Kory on twitter by liking comments that slutshame her on twitter

You know what would be the best way to fix dickbabs? is by letting them move on from each other! Let them grow tf up and move forward in life outside this relationship.

Babs is an anchor that brings him down whenever she's too involved in his life and same with Babs because do dickbabs shippers even care about Barbara. I haven't seen any barbara fan complain about barbara not doing anything on her own other than chasing dick around like a dog in his comicbook every single issue.
