Update Post! (Plus A Something)
Hello, hello, my dear friends! This is Miss Kani, and I just want to say that posts relating to When the Sun Shines on a New Hope are currently still in progress! I have a lot of things I want to accomplish before the year ends, and I will do what I can! So, stay tuned for that!
As for any crazy shenanigans related to Thomas, I was able to get ahold of an ERTL diecast model of Douglas from back in 1992 thanks to the interwebs and my boyfriend. I did also get Donald, but currently, I’m waiting until January to reunite the two.
So, for now, I’ll just share some images I took of Douglas for the fun of it! This has been Miss Kani, and see you all soon when the sun shines on a new hope! Enjoy the small photo compilation ❤️
I’m quite surprised at how mostly intact the guy is! I really cannot wait to reunite the two when I go back to university for the winter quarter.
His main resting place in my desk at home for now. I know my desk is cluttered as all hecc, but I usually like to keep him near my glasses case.
It does get cold in the evening, so I absolutely do what I must to get him warmed up (courtesy of some red and black plaid shirts I have lying around). ❤️

What sort of car does BJ drive? A post I saw earlier reminded me of this question again.
As a casual admirer of vintage cars from the late '60s—'70s, and a fan of the Black Jack manga, the question of BJ's saloon has crossed my mind before.
Tezuka-sensei wasn't exactly specific on this issue, but on the bright side, that means it's open to fan selections.
After taking into account the time period (BJ was first published in 1973, so Tezuka likely had cars produced a little earlier before that in mind), the location (Japan), and the (deliberately vague?) car emblem, my pick would be the Toyota Crown from the late '60s—'70s as a likely candidate.
Toyota Crown 3rd Gen. (1967—1971), marketed as ‘Toyopet’
Toyota Crown Super Saloon, 4th Gen. (c. 1971)

And there's no real point to this post, just my own musings…

Meet my Rusty's Bootleggers! WIP, waiting on paint at the moment.
First up, we have Billy-Bob, in the Rum-Runner. He's mounted a big ol' 50 caliber to his roof for when he falls behind. He's completely redone the engine, added some big bull-bars to keep things off his front, and his back is loaded with Moonshine and tools. He's armoured up his driver-side too, just in case one of his competitors gets any ideas.
Next up, Kletus in Ol' Bessie, the super-tractor. Bessie belonged to his pappy, and his pappy did his own work on her. When Kletus inherited her, He decided to do everything he could to make her a true machine. Her engine has been completely stripped out, replaced with the biggest, meanest engine Kletus could get. He then spent even more time tuning it to perfection. He replaced her front wheels with some all-terrain treads. While they marginally slow her down, it makes it much easier for Kletus to slip away from undesirable tails. After all, she can drive where others can't! Lastly, she's got two heavy machine guns to fight off the cops. Bessie is Kletus special lady - nobody else is even allowed to touch her.
Lastly, Moe is in his fast, light, and powerful buggy - The Dust Devil. She's fast and lightweight. While he can't pull Haulage like Billy-Bob or Kletus, Moe is talented at escaping and running messages. He can find the best route through anything, get there faster than anyone, and lead the way for the other booze runners. Moe runs forward, carving out a path for the rest of his gang to follow.

My old New-Ray Sikorsky helicopters, an US Army UH-60 Black Hack, and an US Navy SH-60 Sea Hawk, which I bought with my third paycheck all the way back in 2009!
(First paycheck was for a Daewoo microwave that lasted until 2017, and second for a generic iron that lasted less than a year)
They had been left behind in Venezuela for the past 3 years, my fiancé recently recovered them, and after a bit of cleaning and glueing (I have lost count on the times I’ve had to glue back on those damn main rotor blades) they’re back to display quality!
And man have they gone up, I remember buying them at the equivalent of 10 dollars each back then, now, according to a quick google search, they’re around 35 dollars each.
Now that they’re back with me, I’ll make damn sure they survive another decade and a half, so my future offspring may own them as well.

Well, I did buy a door hanging shelf thing to put on my closet to hold my few Rainbow High dolls....
However, I was intending on using the bottom shelf to put my junior dolls, but they're, annoyingly, only just too tall to fit there.
But! The shelf is perfect for my few bigger diecast cars! And I'll still be using the top shelf to display a few of my Rainbow High dolls. So far, only Emi Vanda and Victoria Whitman are up there, but once I get a couple more, they'll be joining these two (hoping to get Olivia Woods and Jade Hunter, and maybe Priscilla at some point. Unfortunately these dolls are expensive in NZ....). Just wish the juniors actually fit on the bottom shelf.... But my juniors will be remaining with my Bratz dolls now.
