A young wild European Starling visiting my feeder and greatly offending a local Blue Jay. They may be great pets, but it's important to remember that in the wild they are invasive to many parts of the world, and can damage native ecosystems! Cute but deadly, basically.

Heard plaintive mewing right out the kitchen window and saw a really sorry-looking yellow-bellied sapsucker in the sugar maple, probably a juvenile. Been hanging out at its wells all day, except for when it got bullied by a red-belly.

Helped out with some Northern Bobwhite surveys a couple days ago. I didn't see any Bobwhites, but I did stop momentarily to get a pic of this Blue Grosbeak in the fog.
During survey work I can't bring my actual camera because of time constraints, so most of my pics from work will be shitty digibins, but I actually think these turned out pretty well.
