The Loyal Fox
Madara Mikejima stands as the Queen’s right hand man. He is there to support her through her trials and tribulations, offering advice and solutions when she needs help through the more political side of her ruling. He is viewed as older than her, adopting a rather fatherly demeanor to her, although many believe they are closer in age than he acts. Although he is kind to the Queen, he is not so kind to those who oppose or even dislike her, often times twisting words and manipulating in order to keep them away. Sometimes it does more than just that. Sly and cunning, he keeps people on their toes whenever they are around him. His revolver is a dangerous thing, rare when blades do the job just fine, but still effective. People who have caught sight of the weapon that hides behind his coat do not live to tell the tale.
concept credited to @chocodaffodil (masquerade)
arashi and himeru
aaaaand finally madara!! unfortunately he’s the one i gave the least amount of time into, mostly because i didn’t really know what to do with his design, but i hope that it works well!
more rambles about the design down below
all the references/concepts that i stared at while drawing madara
the mask itself was a rather difficult place to start, but i ended up taking inspiration from japanese fox masks. although masquerades are european in nature, i don’t believe i would have done as well if i hadn’t gone for japanese fox mask inspiration. the mask has the same amount of gold as himeru’s does, as well as the added motif of arashi’s three butterfly dots and the little two curl that are supposed to resemble butterfly wings.
the clothes themselves were a pain. i decided to go with his violin suit inspo, adding ruffles to tie back to himeru’s design. he also has the diamond pendant and the half of a butterfly wing, although on the other side in order to signify himself as arashi’s right hand man. his suit has little fox paws.
his coat has fur on the shoulders, wrists, and at the bottom in order to tie back to the fox look. the back of the coat itself has a fox tail stitched to the back of it. he wears full gloves as opposed to himeru’s half gloves, tying back to the way that madara wears gloves in his cowboy outfit.
his revolver has the same butterfly design as himeru and arashi’s handguard, except it where the bend goes around the trigger. on the revolver itself is gold molded in the shape of a fox paw and the revolver holder has fox ears on its bottom. all in all, a decent job at incorporating the fox concept to him. he even has little fangs! he also has earrings, studded, one as a fox and the other as a half butterfly that matches the one on his pendant.
finally, i have finished all three characters that i swore to do. madara took about an hour as well. these were a lot of fun, even if my energy started to flag as i continued to draw. i certainly i hope i did them justice, even though i had less ideas for himeru and madara.

This is an old oc of mine named Leiko. I've been playing around with a new design for her and think I may lean toward the calico design (she originally has white hair + black hears and a tail) but we'll see!

Childhood memories 1
Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 7.5!!
Hey, it's me with another silly Encanto comic... This time extra long, I'm sketching parts 5 and 6 right now. I want more content of Bruno talking with his nephews and nieces and more madrigal triplets moments, so here we are.

A liepard I drew as a test on smoothing out limbs since mine normally feel stiff, and a purrloin to go with it. Sitting poses are hard :(
