Jeremy Vuolo calls father-in-law Jim Bob Duggar a Playground Bully
I'm kind of surprised they exposed Jeremy in an interview like this as they have been quite private about where their siblings are at in their religious beliefs and parental relationship. He might have given his blessing?
Wonder if that means Derick has stopped trying to convert people...but probably not.
Also wonder if this means people are choosing between inviting Jill and JimBob to these things...or if they're also choosing to not invite JimBob. (Or Jill at times I guess.)
Who is the Most On-Trend With Their Baby Names? Duggar-Edition
To break up the time between more exciting announcements from predictor-families, I thought it might be fun to do a little name analysis. I looked up the popularity of each GrandDuggars name in the year they were born to see which parents are the most “on-trend.” Rankings outside of the top 1000 were unable to be determined. Only first names were considered for this analysis. For babies born in 2022, 2021 data was used.
Charles - assuming Charlie’s legal name - (b. 2022) - Ranked #50
Jill and Derick
Israel (b. 2015) - Ranked #240
Samuel (b. 2017) - Ranked #21
Frederick (b. 2022) - Ranked #476
Jessa and Ben

Jinger and Jeremy
Felicity (b. 2018) - Ranked #355

This analysis seems to show that John and Abbie are the most “on-trend” when it comes to naming their children. This isn’t surprising as so far they have picked classic names that have been high in popularity for a long-time. It was interesting to see in this analysis the difference in popularity of names that couples choose for their boys vs. their girls. For example, Josh and Anna’s boys all had names within the top 160 (two even within the top 10), but only one of their girls had a name even found within the top 1000. It was also interesting to see that Jessa and Ben’s name choices varied between top 100 most popular and names that were unranked at all. Overall though, this was just for fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Don't forget, Jill's book is out next week! I don't really want to give them my money - still mad about the whole family ministry fiasco - but if the library doesn't get a copy in, guess I'm gonna. I wonder why she chose to use the name Duggar instead of Dillard? I guess for easier recognition but I would've thought she'd do a hyphenate or something. But I hope that means somehow that Derick's involvement in the book is minimal. I would hope he knows that on one's THAT interested in HIS experiences with the Duggars, but Derick sure does love himself, so I guess we'll see.
Wow, the Duggar genes are STRONG in Samuel. He looks so much like Jed, but also Josiah and most of the other littler boys. If you threw him in the middle of the crew during 14 Children, he'd blend right in.
On July 7th 2022 Jill and Derick added their 3rd little bundle of joy to their family.
A boy, Frederick Michael Dillard joins big brothers Israel David and Samuel Scott.
They chose the name Frederick because it's Dericks name with "fre" at the beginning just like dericks name is his father's with "de" at the beginning of Rick.
Jill’s baby shower. Looks better than anything the rest of the family ever did for her! The bit about several family members not being there broke my heart 💔.
This week I recap and talk about the Amazon docuseries Shiny Happy People, a docuseries that exposes the truth beneath the wholesome Americana surface of reality tv's favorite mega-family, The Duggars, and the radical organization behind them, The Institute in Basic Life Principles. As details of the family and their scandals unfold, we realize they're part of an insidious, much larger threat already in motion.
Part One recaps Episode 1: Meet the Duggars and Episode 2: Growing Up Gothard.
