Come to think of it, following up on that though, I think as a comp sci major i often find modding and setting up games to be more fun than the game itself. I got Lego Dimensions yesterday and built the set that goes with it, and now I just want more lego sets rather than playing the game.

#I own three! #dimensions the double decker couch and the tbbt apt #don’t judge me it’s a cute set #I reaaaaallllllllly want the roadrat bike #and even tho I’m not into friends I think the friends set would look cute with the tbbt set #like if they’re the same dimensions I could build a whole tiny apartment dollhouse #brain is going nuts rn bc I just came up with the idea of using lego city builds as part of a model train set #yes I’m That autistic I like trains #and puzzles #that’s prolly bc my dads into trains and I live near a railroad #both in florida and ohio #grew up near trains #dad also rlly likes painting miniatures in general and I picked that up from him #he does model trains and toy soldiers I do D&D minis #i rlly like..... miss when we’d hang out and do crafts together #we used to play the Nancy drew computer games together #as a kid he’d play on hard and I’d play on easy and then we’d meet up and share notes #and that way I could help him out! #made me feel smart #that sort of thing was probably the best parenting he ever did and I’m 100% going to use that approach with my own kids #playing games together with room for kids to be independent and also... #kids Love feeling smarter than adults #I use that lil trick all the time #‘ooooh it’s so heavy can u help me!’ #I want every child to know they are worthwhile and valuable and an important part of the community no matter what #wow that got off topic
