This diner had once been a real dining car on a train but was then set in a foundation, 1920.

[You know, he had a little diner, and we grew it into the Dining Car. We also have the Apple Walnut Cafe. The more you know, the less you need. Why did they name the street after you then?]

Starlight Express Appreciation Month
Day 4: Dinah
Traditional today since I’m away from my computer :P
Favorite Actor: Jane Krakowski
Favorite Song/Scene: Literally every one she’s in lmao
Favorite Costume: At some point in London, they added these thick black lines to her costume and it’s really fetching, but I also have a soft spot for the sexy vegas/tour design
Favorite Ship: CBxDinah but as a friendship
Headcanon: Dinah has alot of struggles with self esteem. While obviously, she is very very pretty, she has a hard time seeing it and kind of latches onto people that give her attention. Which is why she is so dependent on Greaseball and Electra to give her the validation she needs as a coach.
Unpopular Opinion: Which leads me into this. I really really don’t like I Got Me. While yes, having the coaches introduce themselves by basically saying all they want is a man is backwards and dated, I Got Me completely erases Dinah’s arc from codependency to independence. It’s also not a good sounding song either.

Mickey's Dining Car
Mickey's Dining Car is a classic diner in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Until 2020, it had been in continuous operation at the same location since 1939. Designed to resemble a railroad dining car, the prefabricated building was constructed in 1937 by the Jerry O'Mahony Diner Company of Elizabeth, New Jersey, then shipped to Saint Paul by rail. Its unusual architecture made it a local landmark. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for being "a beloved, longstanding and unique social institution," an unaltered example of railroad car-style diners, and one of the few surviving examples of its type in the American Midwest.

New Haven Railroad ALCO RS-2 road switcher 0503 is moving a Pullman-Standard lightweight 6 wheel truck stainless steel dining car in the yard at Boston, Massachusetts, 1960
New Haven Railroad ALCO RS-2 road switcher 0503 is moving a Pullman-Standard lightweight 6 wheel truck stainless steel dining car in the yard at Boston, Massachusetts, 1960. You can see the engineer is his cab window and on the front walkway there appears to be a switchman or another employee. It is nice to see that this ALCO RS-2 is still in its earlier day paint scheme and not in McGinnis Livery.
