Me: "Alright, so far there are literally two episode uploaded for this series. I know we both instantly fell in love with it, and I also know what comes next. But please, just this once, refrain from trying to pull off an OC? Cuz y'know.. Two episodes. Not exactly enough yet to have a grasp of--"

My brain: "Here's a Terran lookalike, who is constantly on the run because they are constantly mistaken for an actual Terran, therefore mercs will try to hunt 'em down for that sweet, sweet 1 mln pixels bounty instead of trying to verify whether they are the real deal or not. Of course, the whole running away has started to wear down on the poor thing, so they have quite a short fuse too. They even went to the extent of tattooing 'NAFTA!' on one of their arms, which is short for 'Not A Forking Terran Asshat!' They really want to leave the galaxy altogether at this point, and will do anything to haul their arse, even if that means trying to hijack someone else's ship on their own. And during one of their attempts, they have to make a hasty retreat and hide aboard the first ship in range, which happens to be some 'Bucket'. Things might or might not get interesting from that moment on, IDK I haven't thought it this far yet. Here, have a Nerak. As you may have already guessed, pronouns are 'they/them'. And yes, it's 'Karen' spelled backwards. Thankfully they are not that kind of 'Karen'. Also: their fashion sense is... Something."

Created another villain! Her name is Harper and she works as one of Kudzu's enforcers. She might possibly be related to Rojo, but if she is then she would be Harper's aunt that she absolutely worships. I could put in Harper as a child who wanted to tag along with her aunt's motorcycle gang, eventually becoming a fully fledged villain as a young woman.

Harper is really into villainy mostly because of the aesthetics as well as the rush she gets from pissing off the authorities, government, plumbers, even other villains. She goes by the name Harpy Eagle.

Hey i have to say i like the look of Nerak, giving me some punky tankgirl vibes

I had the "tankgirl" in mind right away, in fact. Theoretically Nerak should be tankier than in the dress up (that was the largest body type available might skim through my list of favourite artists to commish a pic of them, someday). As for the "punky" part, that's something that came along as I fiddled around in the dress up game. ❤

Originally those clothes were a combo of red and aqua/teal, then my brain went "isn't that Shrike's clothes colour-combo..?" So I had to revise my plans a little. 😅

P.S.: Their skin tone is supposed to be a very, very, very pale green. It's so subtle that it's another reason why Nerak keeps on being mistaken for a Terran. Here's an example from Pastelkatto's Avatar Creator's colour palette:

(The only option for green skin in "Dinogeddon" was a single, solid green. So I improvised with the lightest of the regular skin tones instead.)

Inferno Girl OC- Punkin’ Spice

Here’s something I put together as part of a “challenge” to create a Inferno Room OC. The above is what I came up with as well as this little story below. I think I’ll include Punkin’ in some fics in the future.

During a trip to Dante’s Inferno Room, a piece of paper on the canteen’s bar catches your eye. It’s a flyer advertising one of the dancers. On the bottom, however, you noticed this particular one has some chicken scratch writing on it. As you turn the paper to read it better, you’re slightly disgusted by a mysterious residue that transfers to your fingers.

You watched Punkin' dance and decided you liked her. You found her afterwards and buttered her up with every line you could think of. That made her like you. She scampered away like a rabbit, giggling like a schoolgirl as she shot a coy look back at you. You followed her to a nice, secluded place and did what came naturally.

While re-dressing yourself, you think about the paper you found at the canteen. She wasn’t that hard to get after all, it seemed.

"I don't mean to be forward, Punkin', but how much do I owe you?" you ask.

"Oh, don't worry about that. This time's on the house," she smiled. "You're fun. Promise you'll come back soon?"

"How could I ever stay away?" you grinned back.

On a whim, you decided to mention what was written on the leaflet at the canteen.

“Oh, I know those initials,” she sighed while rolling her eyes. "He just doesn't understand 'the game.' I love a little bit of a chase, you know? It's my job and all, but who says I can't have a little fun while doing it? Oh well. His loss."

She sat in front her vanity and reapplied some makeup as you continued to dress yourself. Glancing around the room, you noticed the walls of the room were covered with paper decorations. Garlands made of orange and black construction paper and faded cutouts of pumpkins, black cats and classic horror movie monsters caught your eye. On the ceiling, tiny ghosts made out of bits of cheesecloth lazily swayed in the breeze cause by an unknown draft.

"So you actually do love halloween, huh?"

"Yeah, that part of my schtick isn't a gimmick."

"Do you like horror movies at all?"

"Sure! I jump every time I watch Lon Chaney Jr. in The Wolf Man."

"Oh, well, I've never seen that one," you said. "It was popular way before my time."

You caught a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror. Her once-cheery expression had fallen. She had been poised to paint on more bright pink lipstick, but the hand holding the tube was frozen in place. It hovered centimeters above the corner of her lips which had drooped slightly. The light in her eyes dimmed a little, too. Her appearance suddenly became much more sombre. In the seconds that had passed since you made that comment, her look had somehow become... older. Tired, maybe, was a better word.

"I didn't mean to upset you, Punkin'— uh, Mary Anne."

She spun around to face you. As if it had never left, a happy expression was plastered on her face again.

"Oh, you could never upset me, gorgeous," she said with a wink.

"Still, I feel like I was rude just now. Could I take you to dinner at Mervin's down the street to make up for it?"

Though she kept smiling, she crossed her arms. You recognized the gesture as subconsciously defensive.

"I don't really like to leave Dante's. It's my home, after all! Why would I ever want to leave? We have food just as good as Mervin's down at the canteen."

"It'll be my treat!" you insist. "Tell you what. How about I go down and place an order and bring it back when it's ready? We can eat up here. I promise I'll pay for all the time you're away from the floor. Double, even!"

"W-well... I guess it has been a while since I've had an egg cream."

"An egg cream? What's that taste like?" you said sincerely "I've never heard of that before."

Her shoulders slumped and her face drooped, her sadness apparent.

"I don't think I can join you today, hon. I need to watch my figure."

"Did I say something wrong again? I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault," she said with a sad chuckle.

Punkin' reached her hand out to touch a yellowing cutout of a cartoonish looking Frankenstein's monster. She studied the places where it had creased due to, presumably, sitting in storage for decades. She ran her finger over its rounded edges.

Her bed groaned slightly as you sat down. When she looked over at you, she flashed a small smile.

"You don't have to listen to me jabber on," she said.

"I want to. What's wrong?"

Punkin' let out a long sigh.

"I don't know if you'd understand this or not. You might be too new," she said somberly. "But for me, I have a hard time thinking about how the world kept turning after I died. At Dante's, though, I can just pretend nothing's changed."

"But it has changed, Mary Anne. You can't keep pretending forever, can you?"

Punkin' gave you a weak smile.

"I'm gonna try to."

You left. You came back again and again and again. You continued to play 'her game' many times but she never talked much. She only led you to the rooms reserved for paying customers.

After mulling it over for a while I decided to work on Jora's Rogue's Gallery. Where Ben mainly deals with aliens and science-based foes and Gwen's revolve around magic, Jo's villains are more focus on the environmental, societal, and Elemental aspects of the world. These two are Kudzu (left) and Mara Winters/Black Ice (right)

Kudzu is an environmentalist and entrepreneur who sees herself as Gaia's vessel against the pollution and chaos of the world. When she's not advocating for the use of essential oils, she's going around trying to make forests in urban cities with no compassion for people that could be left homeless by her actions. Kudzu is trained in the martial arts and has limited plant and animal manipulation. She hopes one day to achieve spiritual enlightenment to create a new age of nature and spirituality under the word of Mother Earth.

Mara was a former figure skater who was involved in a career ending scandal, eventually coming into contact with Kudzu and became one of her top spies. Through experiments and spiritual therapy she began developing cryogenic abilities, able to generate paths of 'invisible' ice to confuse and harm the enemy. She's very aloof, apathetic and professional, but at the same time yearns for something that could have been. Not as obsessed with the Captain Planet routine as her boss, but she keeps her mouth shut as long as she gets paid.

I was thinking about dollmakers today, as I often am, so I wanted to compile a list of a couple dollmakers that actually let you make fat characters

every girl plus size

a nice fashion dressup game featuring a plus size doll for once. there aren’t many alternate color options for the clothes but there’s decent customization for hair and skin. there is exactly one textured hair option and the facial feature customization is limited. also there’s autoplay music so watch out

kawaii chubby girl by rinmaru

just a generic harajuku pastel anime girl but she’s chubby

quite cute and cartoony and it’s the only one I’ve found that lets you make a masculine character with facial hair and a flat chest. remember that the hands and ear skin tones need to be manually changed to match the body. also the mouth and nose options are a little confusing bc there were too many for the program (?) so you need to cycle through color options and that’ll give you access to more mouths and noses. you can add horns and ears and fantasy anime shit like that. there are also like THE MOST possible hair options, and some variously patterned hijab options

tomatomagica apparently ships phoenix and maya from ace attorney, which is a ship with an age gap of several years with maya being 17 at the start of the games. it is reasonable to feel uncomfortable with that and feel suspicious of her so if you don’t want to engage with her work knowing that just skip this one

cute and spooky! kind of wish it had more non-human skin tones. although it’s halloween themed there are some cool and sexy goth clothes as well as costumes so you dont HAVE to do a halloween costume. there’s only like one textured hair option though

I would say comparing them that the beach game is a little more cartoony. the skin colors on the doll don’t actually match up to the colors in the menu, there are way more options for dark skin than you would think. you can also give her a sunburn which is really funny. there’s a variety of trendy swimsuits but you can give her summer clothes as well

obviously somewhat limited in clothing since it’s based on crystal gems but there’s a good range of human skin tones as well as colorful gem ones. you have control over the width of the neck, bust, chest, arms, and legs of the character, as well as the ability to change the height and width of the entire body. also options for extra arms and a lot of draggable items

a kind of post-apocalyptic fashion game based on a webcomic with a wide variety of facial features to craft pissed off expressions. you also get a range of makeup options. there are three body types and every clothes item scales to each of them. about half of the hairstyles are textured hair and it supports ombre and streaked hair. it’s a very specific look but a fun one

the game features three body types each with a different pose, but all clothing items are scaled to fit all three. the clothing and accessories are stuff that was trendy in 2016. very colorful, has a good range of hair options including textured hair, and also lets you do tattoos. you can edit every facial feature and give her a few different types of makeup. the shirt/dress mechanism is a little weird but I think the variety and versatility of the dollmaker makes up for that
