This is more self indulgent “could work” idea but i also feel like she'd vibe well w Lonnie Sasha/Scarlet and Kitrina falcone as like the Fucked Up Gotham Kids Group

A NOTP I have with said character: ive never seen it but her and t*m dr@ke, if i ever hafta to see that in my LIFETIME I will go COMPLETELY apeshit like honest to god. Other then that her and like literally any man ever is bad and I hate it, the like implied romance in the future w the guy from the future shadowpact had potential but not enough development to interest me

A random headcanon: she watches a lot of magical girl type anime ^_^ such as card captor sakura, magica madoka, sailor moon, tokyo mew mew, pretty cure, etc and does cosplays from time to time

Idea for a story: I think a like six or twelve issue mini slice of life highschool teen drama story w laura and her struggles to deal w magic and superheroing and stuff would be REALLY cute... like imagine it in the vein of the like old sabrina the teenage witch comics and shows and cartoons and stuff, that kinda similar trying to juggle both her magical responsibilities AND get her essays done for tomorrow’s english class... yannow???

Unpopular opinion: hmmmm Im not really a fan of having Laura like fully join a team centric on like teens like the new night force or teen titans... im not like SUPER against the idea i think it can be cute and like she does need more friends her own age but im way way WAY too attached to her relationship w the rest of the shadowpacts to ever be like truly converted but thats just me v_v

Favourite moment: that scene where she and the others have just returned from hell after regaining dannys trident and shes super enthusiastic and flailing her arms about and going “LOOK AT US WE'RE SO COOL AND AMAZIMG!!!!!”.... 😭😭🥺🥺

A NOTP I have with said character: ZAURIEL ISNT POPULAR ENUFF TO GET REAL SHIPS BUT I GUESS ZAURIEL AND SUPERGIRL? SINCE I FOUND SOME CONTENT OF IT FROM LIKE YEARS BACK? Also 99% certain OP meant it as a joke but had to also see sm come up w John Constantine/Zauriel which was completely horrifying

A random headcanon: Their blood is the most acidic thing currently present on earth and their heart is literally made of crystal so it can’t corrode and thus lead to like, death. Angels are fucked up

Idea for a story: I'm not great for like actual plotlines or full stories i'm more of a character rambling meta kinda person but I think an action-comedy urban fantasy comic with Zauriel as the lead would be REALLY epic. It'd take place in Los Angeles and it borrows some ideas from Constantine: the HellBlazer regarding like the urban magic stuff esp the brief appearance of magic in LA there and it would be mostly more a character driven anthology series w a lot of cameos and appearances from other members of the superhero mystic community like Zatanna and also worlds greatest

Unpopular opinion: I MEAN ONCE AGAIN ZAURIEL ISNT POPULAR ENUFF but forever I think making them be into Catholicsm and loving god is stupid and weak and boring. Lucifer doesnt need to hog the god hating angel card Zauriel can share it too.

Favourite moment: theres a lot but everyday I think about the scene in like JLA issue 23 iirc where they save Aquaman and they excitedly go “THE FISH AND THE FOWL DO THE IMPOSSIBLE AGAIN!” Or smth and Arthur is like very openly not into it

First impression: THIS IS RLY RLY FUNNY BUT I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA HATE ZAURIEL ORIGINALLY... I decided early last year to get into ragman for reals and I stumbled onto the Shadowpact wiki page then the zauriels one and I saw they were canonically a homewrecker and got suspicious af abt it. Also I thought they were a woman from the picture shown on the wiki, i accidentally forecall nu52 zauriel later being canon trans

Impression now/General Opinion over said character: Licherally the most important character to me right now alongside Anarky Eel Helena and John Henry 🤍❤️🖤❤️🤍 I will licherally singlehandedly make all of the Zauriel content and meta and force dc to bring them back in a good story which will also let them be canon in love with Eel. I tweeted him about it and Steve Orlando said he'd love to do a Zauriel story if dc let him so I’m currently tryna psychically will it into the universe

I think rory is in general bffs w the entire Shadowpact and I think he'd also get along rly well w other jewish heroes like Atom Smasher or Kate Kane, they celebrate Hanukkah together and stuffs

A NOTP I have with said character: If theres an off chance someone shipped Kate and Rory together from that one nu52 crossover they had I will find you and I will hunt you for sport you fucking freak. Other then that i dont rly see ppl ship anyone w rory, so I guess i'll just go w Rory x any woman but especially that romance they tried implying in Shadowpact w Eve, mister writer afte willingham they're not straight :/

A random headcanon: Rory is an incomprehensible typer. All of his text messages are a garble of keysmashing typos and emojis and nobody knows what the fuck he's saying ever unless they get him on a phone call or video chat.

Idea for a story: If dc wasn’t a coward I think you could do a really awesome horror comic book w Rory????? Like a comic book where it’s split up in two narratives- Rory's pov usually in the guise of his everyday life, and then his activities as ragman, as shown through the eyes of the ppl he's stopping, like the criminals and villains and stuff. In his later appearances they like took him more lighthearted but rorys whole thing is rly scary??? He literally ABSORBS your souls leaving you in this like purgatory hell its TERRIFYING. I would also like to include a lot of scenes though of how Rory as ragman does still often and consistently help ppl out, bc yannow hero and stuff, but yea dc hmu already

Unpopular: I have no idea if ppl still actually like that comic but the reboot they tried doing w ragman in 2017 was SOOOOOOOOOOO antisemitic and evil.... it was a garbage nonsensical comic book and whoever was writing it was a clear fucking antisemite, imagine having a character whose entire thing is that his rag suit was created by rabbis under a time of oppression to fight for the disenfranchised and turning it into “ITS AN EVIL HAUNTED SUIT LOOTED BY A TEMPLE MADE BY DEMOOOOONS HEHE”..... AWFUL also the redesign was fugly too

Favourite moment: theres a scene in his solo like the 90s one where hes sleeping peacefully and then his friend walks in and he goes super serious “if you try to wake me up i will break your legs” and then he goes back to sleeping peacefully as the friend walks away angrily JWJSJAJW

First impression: The 70s version was really weird, 90s comics good but the second one is like bordering on super racist, and he's great in shadowpacts era

Impression now/General opinion over the character: not super different I adore him and I wish more people acknowledged he exists >_< he's such a fun inchresting character and its always nice to see a character whose so focused on Judaism in his lore and character and its not done badly in a medium began by jewish men

OMG im so sorry this got so long. Under read more bc its so long i have so many thoughts bout this happy pride

Zauriel: okay i already answered it a billion years ago but Nonbinary (They/Them), nblm (Edit: fucking forgot this but also asexual) or just overall queer. Angels in lore don’t really have the same sexes as humans do but their standards of gender are pretty much the same afaik. Zauriel in canon lives a pretty genderless existence and has been portrayed as a woman twice, once even stating they've been both man and woman, so To me at least it makes the most sense that they use they/them pronouns but still feel a kinship with both femininity and masculinity. They’re gay because I think they were probably in love with Eel in canon lol but also because I can’t see them with women excluding that time with that one gal they had a crush on in their first six appearances

Eel: nondysphoric Transgender bi/pan man! I’ve consistently always thought Eel wasn’t really cis in some way, especially not in canon where he has portrayed himself femininely in various ways, and the idea that him getting his powers actually allow him to transition into whatever kind of person he truly wants to be seen as makes me happy. I also think he just flips-flops between calling himself bi and pan depending on which feels better on the day, due to the similarities between the terms.

Helena: Transgender lesbian woman! Helena’s gay she's always going to be gay with me I can’t ever see her with a man. Her relationships with women have always consistently been at the forefront and I know in at least birds of prey her relationships with people like Dinah are INCREDIBLY important, and kinda homoerotic, and the idea of her past her like teens being into dudes feels wrong. Also, its now canon that in some universe in rebirth she was dating Renee, so. I don’t have any grand reason for her being trans, I just think it’s something that makes her character more interesting and There’s no reason to believe, at least new earth wise, certain members of her family wouldn’t help her transition.

John Henry: Transgender gay man! Like with Helena, there’s nothing specific or deep on why I think he's trans, i just think it makes his character more interesting and there’s no reason why his family wouldn’t support him and help him transition. I do have thoughts on him being gay though, because also like Helena, he's had most of his more personal and intimate relationships with men (ex. Clark Kent), and it is canon he doesn’t understand or notice when women are flirting with him or showing romantic attraction towards him, to the point characters in canon asked him if he was gay, which like, you know. I could see him dating a woman in the past once or twice until he figured out his identity, but yea man's gay.

John Henry needs reading glasses, and he prefers thinner rimmed, circular lens over more flashy or blockier types of glasses. Helena looks good in any type of eyewear, Zauriel only in sunglasses or masks, and Eel looks atrocious in anything but his goggles, as well as having a habit of stealing people’s glasses.

what music would : shadowpact, worlds greatest, and kid eternity like?

God okay

John Henry, Danny and Jim all listen to classic/dad rock Jim especially. Jim owns every single vinyl of the “Beatles” albums and he refuses to let people tell him its embarrassing. Danny's a music snob who consistently goes “Smh music died in the 90s” and probably listened to a lot of “Motley Crue” growing up i feel. John Henry listens to “Led Zeppelin” mostly but he's also uncompletely unironically into Heavy Metal and owns legitimate heavy metal merch

June and Helena listen to riot grrl, Helena more so then June, as well as being big into music acts such as “Lizzo” and “Janelle Monae”. People assume June has classy music taste until they see her jamming out to Rebel Girl

Zauriel listens exclusively to rock music, especially punk rock and alt rock. They have heavy attachment to the band “The Clash” and once spent three days straight just laying face down on their couch listening to the “London Calling” album and especially the song “Lost In The Supermarket” on repeat. They also have a deathly hatred of Christmas music that isn’t the Los Campesinos! Christmas EP.

Eve listens to progessive rock, and especially the super long songs that go on for forever and makes everyone go “Eve? Eve? When will this end?”. Rory's a more all around kinda guy, but he does REALLY like “The Rolling Stones” and I wanna say “The Velvet Underground” as well? Laura's big into sadcore indie pop, like singers such as “Lana Del Ray”, “Marina and The Diamonds”, “Paramore” perhaps? Those kinda artists

I feel like Dec Chimp is in the same category for Rory regarding music taste but more so because he just doesn’t care BUT I do think he probably really heavily enjoys “Johnny Cash.” Eel Is the kinda person who when he says he listens to every kind of music, he MEANS it, but I say he has a heavy attachment to folk punk and bands like “They Might Be Giants”, and parody music and “Weird Al Yankowich” and stuff.

Zauriel, Helena, and Kid all listen to emo music but more specifically “My Chemical Romance” and Helena cried when she found out they reunited and bought tickets immediately

Kid is ABSOLUTELY a alt rock and especially grunge person have you seen them. They own like a million “Nirvanna” and “The Killers” shirts and album CDS and get super passionate when talking about it. This is just me self projecting mostly but I also believe Kid would love “Los Campesinos!”, and blares it constantly.

To end this essay I think the World's Greatest all really enjoy the band “Hellogoodbye” together and listen to their songs on roadtrips
