leo woke up with surprisingly little hangover

he'd felt dizzy and woozy last night talking to you but now he felt... almost fine

his fellow cabinmates were doing less okay and he slipped out the door as quietly as he could, laughing silently at the groans that accompanied the tiny sliver of light that came with the door opening

it seemed that most of camp had been at the party last night and the grounds were calm and quiet at most people tried to sleep off the alcohol

low conversation drew him towards the food hall

he blinked in surprise as he saw you, smiling and murmuring with your siblings

you were doing something, putting drinks and snacks and things into boxes

slightly awkwardly he sidled up to the table

'uh, hi'

your eyes snapped up and sparkled as you saw him

keeping your voice quiet

'hey leo! what are you doing up? everyone else is still asleep'

he grinned

'i could ask you the same thing- what's with the boxes?'

leo saw you blush and thought it looked just as pretty in the day as it did in the night

'we, um, we don't get hangovers, kind of a dad blessing but since everyone else does we...' you gesture to the boxes and the things in them. '...put together kind of self-care kits? like a 'sorry your head hurts have a snack to make it better'...thing'

leo thought it was adorable and willed himself not to melt at the slightly awkward expression on your face

it was fascinating to see you still intoxicated him outside of a party atmosphere

Okay hold on I know Harry Potter is bad its awful I KNOW BUT LISTEN- the way drarries have BUTCHERED and KILLED her character is something that truly needs to be studied because its one thing to make her and harry not date but oh my god they treat her like she is the DEVIL for EXISTING.

Tbh only remember the epilogue where they do a time skip and Harry and Ginny are married then they have a Bunch of kids boarding the train. In fics I see a lot of her either becoming psychotic trying to marry Harry and become lady potter or molly Weasley getting a contract to force a marriage. There’s a lot of m/m ships in the fandom but I think Harry and Draco are the most popular? Just wanted to throw someone different in here

The thing is, the deeper I got into the fics, the worse Ginny got? Like I read plenty of good fics where she was cool, but there was the same amount where for some reason she was controlling, or abusive, or dead. Like for Drarry? Come on! If you think Ginny sucks, I have some *shocking* news about Draco

Erina is SO MUCH MORE than just a "Generic Love Interest" that was brought in the story to continue the bloodline after everything that happens (and it's made abundantly clear time and time and TIME AGAIN that she means everything to Jonathan, to a point that she was his exact reason to standing up against Dio for the first time) but without fail she's only ever allowed to be the supportive best friend. Or a wingman for Jonathan and whoever he's being shipped with. Or simply supposed to sit there and allow her husband to have a male lover (the amount of posts I've seen of ppl using the excuse that 'it was very common back in the Victorian Era for men to keep male lovers that their wives were aware of and quietly accepted so it isn't a stretch to say that Erina and Jonathan wouldn't be the same--especially given how progressive she's written". Or of course my favorite when they completely erase her from the narrative and pretends she doesn't exist Jonathan's got their son for some reason, but nope she ain't there! 

a lot of times ppl who ship her CANON HUSBAND jonathan joestar with speedwagon will put her on the back burner of HER OWN CANON RELATIONSHIP in favor of propping up jonawagon, to the point where 90% of the archive for jonawagon/jonawagon(eri) is either erina giving jonathan and speedwagon consent to be happy together while she acts like a #LoveIsLove wingman OR they'll have the audacity to write fics where erina comforts speedwagon at HER HUSBAND'S FUNERAL

Our hero’s hot wife who was the first (and arguably) only person to give him the emotional support he needed. She’s the only person who never expects him to fulfill some mythical role, she just loves him for who he is. She’s been his best friend and the love of his life since he was 12 years old. When it comes to hero/sidekick ship, she’s forced to be a wing woman for her own husband, either nobly letting him go or peacefully agreeing to an open relationship but only for him!!! She gets nothing out of it, she’s just a good Victorian wife who is “ahead of her time”. Usually, just so she can provide a womb so that the hero/sidekick can be dads and she can conveniently be offscreen. Do you respond to comments? why/why not? I do occasionally. I guess it depends on what kind of comment it is? If it's a 'More!' or 'Update?' comment i just ignore it. I also tend to leave like emoji comments on their own bc honestly like thank you for giving me an emoji but i am a bit lost as to what I'm exactly meant to respond with you know? Longer comments or compound sentence comments are the ones i tend to respond to purely because there tends to be something to respond to!

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Oh god... uh. I had to have a quick glance and... i don't really know? There's a few options okay! You have 'Fine, I'll do it Myself' as a strong contender because of the whole 'the person you most love is trapped an entire universe away and you have to wait years to see him again' vibe going on. There's 'Blood Stains the Skin red' because it's literally about what if shit was even more fucked than canon and Midoriya had blood in his hands. Oh! Or "We Don't Remember a Boat in a Bottle" which damn... forget how angsty that one was ngl. I mean there's also 'Group hug' where the champions reunite post BOTW only for Link to die in their arms... (These are the especially angsty ones like the question asked bc honestly... most of my fics are angsty.. hehe.)

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Between 'well then...' and 'This is Love' both Trash of the count's family fics. Well Then is a strong contender because it's just a silly little 'identity reveal is so misconstrued everyone thinks there's *so* much angst and the protag is just vibing. like cale literally starts having a canon-typical spiral bc he thinks people are trying to intimidate him and it's kike a 17 year old being like 'im telling my adopted dad/adopted big brother about all the fun me and my younger siblings have had!' And 'This is Love' is still in progress but each chapter end is a comedy so ya know.

Do you get hate on fics? I used to. I don't really clean my fics up all that well since i tend to miss things so i just stopped and the only times i ever tried to get a beta i got blew off so.. Anyway. I used to get shit and told my work was so horrendous that I was lying about english being my first language. Even looking back at it now it's horseshit that it was 'that bad' bc it really wasn't. I also got this one guy who got really pressed because he didn't have the reading comp to see the tags 'canon divergence' and 'crack treated seriously' and then understand why the characters in the fic weren't acting canon compliant.

Do you write smut? if so, what kind? I do, kind of? Like I've written something that *I* would class as smut but it's not like *full on* explicit descriptions of stuff so it is smut but not in the way people would probably normally think? It's my fic 'pretty boy' and im not even going to lie it was my excuse to write a praise kink fic for Cloeph/Cale.

Do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one? OH DO I. I don't publish nearly as many crossovers as I used to. When I had a wattpad that bitch was almost nothing BUT crossovers. I've written: Ass Class/OHSHC, Ass Class/BNHA, DC/MLB. Those are my tame ones. I have 2 in the works and i think they fit the 'craziest crossovers you've written.' have you ever had a fic stolen? Yeah, I had one of my Miraculous Ladybug fics stolen, but i contacted AO3 and it got taken down.

have you ever had a fic translated? No, not with my permission at least. I've had a few people as permission that I've given but they haven't been uploaded so. I have a rule that if it's translated i'd like it to stay on ao3 and unfortunately not a lot of the people interested in translating my fics want to translate them on the archive so i've said no a bunch of times.

have you ever co-written a fic? Yep. A friend-insert fic from when i was 12 with my friend cookie on wattpad. Alas, it is lost to time.

what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will? All of them. But probably my Persona 5/BNHA crossover. Like I really want to write it but every time i open the document i just sit there like 'eugh.'

writing weaknesses? Again, according to my class leader, it's my inability to resist telling rather than showing. Also I sometimes make my sentences too long, when i could cut them shorter.

thoughts on writing dialogue in another language? It depends? For example if it's something that *absolutely* must be there - for example if I was to write a Percy Jackson fanfic and some exchange in the book was in broken greek/english then YES, but if its not something like that then no i just slap the text in italics and make sure it's obvious somewhere in text a non-english language is being spoken.

my thoughts of what each jojolands character is VAGUELY based on.

Disclaimer to the ppl who get angry at these kinds of posts: I KNOW theyre all their own characters & i think of them as their own characters too. I dont see them as like “giorno, doppio, and hermes” and all. I hate dio, but i LOVE diego. The fact that hes slightly based on dio doesnt make me hate him 🤷 its more like he would be his better cousin LOL. thats how i (and most of us) feel about jodio and usagi too. theyre like giorno and diavolo’s cousins. its very fun to associate them to previously existing characters!

Anyways!:

Jodio = inspired by jolyne and giorno (obvious)

Dragona = partly inspired by hermes and mista

Paco = very slightly inspired by risotto, santana and abbacchio

Usagi = partly inspired by fugo, narancia and diavolo/doppio

my reasonings are:

Dragona: mista: mother-like figure to their stand. ☠️ jobro to giorno (hermes also is a jobro to jolyne). Also that scene of jodio and dragona being silly together reminded me of trish and mista🥺

hermes: no not only bc of her locs 😭 bc of the “big bro” title as well. Ik its silly to base on hair style too, but jodio had a star braid at first (still has a bit of a braid) so i think its kinda intentional on araki’s part.

Paco: santana: bad dad, can manipulate skin, theres a better explanation abt this somewhere 😭

risotto: his design exposing his chest with an X & his foot (nearly) gets cut off lol. also similarish vibes? but hes more similar to abbacchio, trying to act tough, physically strongest of the group but lowkey a softie. Risotto isnt rlly a softie, at least not like abbacchio is.

abbacchio: hates on teens but then is secretly like 🥺🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 when theyre safe (usagi). And he was aggressive towards usagi in the beginning like was with giorno.

Usagi: narancia: sillay. Paco and Usagi’s dynamic is similar to abbacchio’s and narancia’s. Usagi is 17 and Jodio is 15, Dragona is 18. Just like nara, gio, and mista. ☝️🤓

fugo: similar hair to fugo, anddd BIGGEST NERD OF THE GROUP. thats it. i think usagi is more like narancia if he went to school tbh🥺

doppio/diavolo: stand based on king crimson, also super cute like doppio. also his pony tail reminds me of doppio’s braid (plus the fact that i loved him the moment i saw him (yes, even when he was known as just hotdog man i was like OMG HE LOOKS FUNNY AND CUTEEE I LOVE HIM HAHAH I HOPE HES A MAIN CHARACTER :D while everyone was hating on him. Im his fan since day 0!!!) & the rest of the whole part ive been adoring him. /platonically (if it wasnt obvious im a big fan of doppio)

Also, a lot of ppl who love those characters love the characters theyre based on too.

Of course, some ppl who dont like those past characters like the newer ones despite that, just like me with diego☠️

Thinking about a shojou au for giocy

My mutual and I have talking about this au!

Obviously it starts with lucy being late, she crashes into giorno while running to school, she apologizes but she notices one thing:

Her wallet is gone and she can't find it, even though she distinctly remembers taking it before leaving.

Giorno stole it, cause he's a bit silly like that.

She finally comes to school and meets her friend, trish una (they are besties fr)

Since lucy is still New, Trish introduces her to narancia, fugo, mista and...

"AAAAAH! You're the one that stole my wallet!" lucy yells when she sees giorno lmao.

Trish scolds giorno ofc and demands he gives it back.

Because of the wallet stealing, lucy doesn't have a very good impression of him at first

She wonders why everyone loves him and fangirls over him

Lowkey has beef tbh

She never says anything though

But Giorno notices

Lucy likes to go to a garden, she takes care of the plants there, or just likes to de-stress

And what do you know giorno is there too!

Giorno is probably feeding a stray cat hehehe

Lucy just watches him, she lowkey wants to pet the cat.. He notices ofc.

Giorno asks her if she wants to pet the cat.

She's like "uh sure"

And they have a cute little quiet moment between them

They don't say anything for a second, the cat is just really cute

And lucy breaks the silence by saying it is!

Also! When lucy gets home from school on the day she meets giorno. she tells johnny about her wallet being stolen lol

Lucy and giorno start seeing each other in the garden more often, mostly to see the cat.

Lucy starts buying cat food and actually starts looking forward to going to the garden!

She wonders why giorno always takes time to take care of the cat

She asks him why and he answers saying he can't take it into the dorm lol.

She tells him it must be lonely living alone.

Giorno says "not really"

It was better then living with his mother and step-dad.

Lucy grows to have a better impression of him everytime she sees him.

Aaand she starts crushing on him hehe.

Pre-reading thoughts on the CDDH novel Crazy Heartbreakers (we’re gonna call it CH to differentiate it from the manga)

Under the cut for spoilers.

Keep in mind this is just based on Vish’s tiny translation of the novel, but whatever assumptions and mistakes I’m saying in here would be purely mine. Once I get the novel, I’ll see if these thoughts would change.

So, CH established that Hol Horse is an orphan and his cowboy persona was taken from a Clint Eastwood character. I’m just guessing that, apart from the Emperor card dictating his fate as a father figure, I’d figure his background as an orphan emphasised the need for him to be protective, especially to children and teenagers, even if his cowboy care-free and unattached persona seemed to clash with that trait.

Not related, but I do have two headcanon backstory for an orphan Hol: (1) Hol came from an abusive household, his dad killed his mum, and he used Emperor to kill his dad as revenge, but no one suspected him murdering his dad, and (2) Hol was the long-lost son of Joseph, his name was most likely John Joestar, he was kidnapped at a very young age and over time he forgot who his family was except the name Hol(y) which he later adapt as his first name, hence he just assumed he was an orphan.

If one of these is even remotely in CH, I’m gonna freak out fr

Hol and Polnareff also had a conversation after Dio’s death, and it’s more than what my polhol heart could wished for ♥♥♥

Apparently after witnessing Kakyoin’s death, Hol most likely passed out from his still healing injuries, and the SPW found him and treated him. Oingo and Boingo were also under the SPW custody. At this point, I guess Hol kinda got smitten with SPW, but most likely not considering that he didn’t like being attached. 

But gawd, his conversation with Polnareff is honestly bittersweet. They’re no longer the goofy enemies at that point, but instead were like old, long-lost friends. It’s just additionally painful when we know that Hol was almost considered to be a Crusader, and the pregnant pause Hol gave when Polnareff joked that he expected Hol to beg for his life and ask to be a comrade...

Sweet. But pretty painful. 

I’ve seen fanarts and fanfics of Hol having unrequited love for Polnareff, and this bit in the CH novel just amplified it. 

Tbh, I just want Hol to go and search for Polnareff after this, as I had headcanoned about it in post-Part 5, because Hol deserved to at least be friends with Polnareff. No human can live alone without a bro, after all.

I’m also kinda intrigued with Hol’s hesitation when Italy was mentioned. Most likely, its from Polnareff’s intimidating tone...but what if there’s something in Italy that Hol Horse knew about and he hesitated to share it with Polnareff? Maybe he knew about the arrows and its origins. Maybe he knew about Passione and who were in it. Maybe he had encountered the Italian mafia prior to being hired by Dio.

Who knows? 

Well, that’s all I can speculate and assume. I’m still excited and heartbroken at the same time with the PolHol conversation in CH. I wished it was longer. 

Also, Hol mentioned he had a girl in Japan and I really just cannot not assume it was Tomoko, which could possibly make Josuke his illegitimate son. Again this is just a stretched headcanon theory that I don’t usually share, but why not mention it now. It somewhat fits the CDDH and CH narrative after all.

Also also, it’s safe to assume that Hol can speak and have comprehension of Indonesian, Portuguese, Hindi/Bengali, Japanese and French.

4. what cryptid being do you believe in? hear me out: we know far too little about marine life for there not to be weird shit in the water. there’s also far too many tales across cultures and regions about lake monsters and the like. and I feel like we’ve explained old sailors’ tales with discoveries of giant squid and sea snakes and the like. so…I’m very open to the possibility that things like sea serpents, Nessie and Champy and Igopogo, etc etc are very much real creatures we haven’t properly discovered yet.

31. what type of music keeps you grounded? my dad graduated high school in ‘86 and raised me on pretty much everything he listened to back then, so that is sort of my musical “home”, if you will (& part of why I’m drawn to Billy and Eddie tbh - theirs is the music I grew up with). Mötley Crüe has always been my favorite and my comfort band. I adore Ozzy Osbourne. I listen to a lot of Ratt and Dio and Dokken and Van Halen. but I also listen to a lot of folky stuff!! especially when I need something mellow and the power ballads aren’t cutting it. lots of Mumford & Sons. some Caamp. Dawson Hollow. Malinda, The Wellermen, so on.

putting this under a readmore because its long. i would apologize but tbh everyone should know what to expect from me at this point

first impression: i actually used to hate him. this was wayyy back in highschool when i was vaguely aware of but completely uninterested in jjba. okuyasu was the one character i liked. keicho to me was just his shitty abusive older brother whose head i wanted to use as a pinata. you know how it is

current impression: honestly those feelings haven't really gone away they're just not the only ones i have anymore...he is very complex and tragic. a literal trainwreck of a person. he is to blame for most if not all of the problems in his life and that just makes him even sadder to me. and i think he knows that too, but he still tries to implicate other people/things (his father, dio, okuyasu, the joestar bloodline, his upbringing, etc), like if he repeats the lie that he's not solely responsible for his own actions enough times it will eventually become true.....also he's trans and my girlfriend <3

favorite moment: the scene where josuke extends a metaphorical olive branch to him and he immediately breaks down while trying to save face makes me so. AUUUUUUUUU. my favorite interpretation of it is actually in the live action movie because keicho's actor is a lot more subdued than in the animanga and yet still manages to convey the devastation he's going thru in that moment. girls love being given a chance to escape the fate they've already doomed themselves to *pouring lighter fluid on myself* it's so fun

idea for a story: i've talked about it here before a little bit but i have an au story where he lives n starts working for the speedwagon foundation as a bounty hunter. it will most likely never be finished/posted because it's a purely self indulgent 'what if' kind of thing. also it's not necessarily a redemption arc because i think those are lame, just my interp of an older more mature/stable keicho lol. this silly tweet i made a long time ago articulates what i mean best tbh

unpopular opinion: i don't know if this counts as unpopular but i've seen art depicting him drinking alcohol, and he does not strike me as a fan of it at all. he's a control freak whose dad was an abusive alcoholic for most of his childhood. he definitely has some hangups around drinking is all i'm saying

favorite relationship: this isn't something i really care about tbh ^_^ so long as it's not like, pr/ship levels of weird i can enjoy any pairing involving him. yaoi couple(hazamada+keicho)...yuri couple(akira+keicho)...normal couple(yuuya+keicho)...i see no difference love is love #worldpeace

favorite headcanon: he very reluctantly gets attached to morioh's stray cat population when a few decide to make the gross mansion/hh holmes-esque murder house he lives in their home too. he runs in to them a lot because they like to lurk in the same dark scary alleyways he does when he's waiting for his next victim, and wouldn't you know it, petting a cat is a nice way to de-stress after killing people. self care and all that

I mean he's not boring, but like, there's nothing that stands out to me . . . except his dub voice. Also, I am trying to do Ramadan. In the last couple years, I was finally able to fast the whole day which was a big accomplishment! Also, I am a super picky eater so idk exactly how I'll do suhoor and iftar yet.

Different people are good at different things. Dio is good at praying consistently and on time. Bruno is good at voluntary fasting. Giorno is good at giving charity. Risotto is good at thikr.

That's totally fair to be honest there's so many characters in jojo and not all of them will appeal to everyone but oh you like Risotto's dub voice? 👀I usually don't like dub voice at all but agreed his one is pretty good! I've had a similar experience where it took me a long time to be able to fast probably while I'm not a picky eater, I also have the same problem where I don't know what to eat during those times but recently figured out that having small portion of rice milk and banana or rice and some other side dish helps me! i avoid any fried stuff maybe you can think of suhoor as a midnight snack and have a small portion or sometime skip dinner to have suhoor? Well I'm hoping your suhoor and iftars are going well! Of course I don't know your situation fully so you don't have to take my advice aksjdb

Last Show - I’ve been really into the Netflix reality tv extended universe lately. So I think it was Perfect Match. If not that then Too Hot to Handle. (Francesca is a nasty bitch btw, I will not be taking criticism on this)

Currently Watching - which I guess is still Netflix reality tv, but if we move outside that, it’s rewatching Jojo with my brother in law because he must must must understand why I can’t stop talking about it. Also I’m staying up to date with My Hero for once which is ugh it’s so good. Or wait, does it mean right this very moment? Because tbh I’m writing this on the toilet.

Current Obsession - Now I think I’ve made this really perfectly obvious so much so that I’m hesitant to even answer. (Hint it rhymes with “Dojo’s Dizzare Dadventure”— wait Jojo’s Bizarre Dadventure would literally just be about Joseph and Jotaro. Almost nothing would change except more scenes of them actually being dads. I guess Dio could be involved too, but let’s be real he’d leave Giorno at the grocery store no less than 7 times)

Unrelated Obsession - Unrelated to what? To Jojo? Or like the outlier to all my other obsessions? Because unrelated to Jojo would just be dragons, but is it really an obsession if it’s a core part of personality and not really by my choice if you ask me? But like if it was an outlier to my other obsessions…. I guess reality tv? Which is very uncharacteristic of me, but man do I love to watch a bunch of hot people make dumb as hell decisions for media points.

would have Dio talked about his past to Pucci or would he have disliked the idea? seeing it as making himself vulnerable and what not, he never told Johnathan about his past either.

A small point (a friend of mine pointed this out): we don't actually know what Dio did or didn't tell Jonathan about his past. I think you're right we can infer that Dio didn't talk about stuff that didn't serve his purposes or that created potential vulnerabilities. But we also do see Dio talk about his past when it serves him, like casually dropping that stuff about barefisted boxing after he got Jonathan to bet a month's allowances on their fight (and using his rough background to charm the upperclass kids with the fact he knew about forbidden stuff like streetfighting and fireworks). It's also also not clear whether, outside of his broken family life, Dio's past was something he felt good or bad over. It's clear he wants to get rich, and we know he despises his dad and blames him for his mom's death. But there's no baked bean pub scene in the manga like there is in the anime: the anime reframes Dio's past as a series of defeats and put-downs but this is Tsuda's own imagining, not Araki's. So we don't know anything really about Dio's experiences in his old neighborhood. If we work off Dio being a 'survival of the fittest' type character as Araki says, then he'd see his past as an asset rather than a source of shame, so what he chooses to show and hide would depend on what gives him the advantage.

ofc Dio's relationship with Pucci is entirely different from his relationship to Jonathan. With Pucci, tbh I don't remember Araki letting on whether Pucci even knew Dio was a vampire, let alone a prolific killer and all-around psychopath (Pucci’s description of Dio implies he doesn’t know):

But I could imagine Part 6 happening the way it did whether Pucci knew this stuff about Dio or not.

But maybe you’re also asking whether Dio would have talked about his past to Pucci beyond what’s shown in the manga. Since Dio sees Pucci as a ‘trusted friend’ so there's no need for him to keep him in the dark about his backstory. But there's also no need to reveal it? And Dio withholds info as a form of control. So I guess it would depend on how confessional Dio was feeling. Hope this isn't too much of a non-answer, it's a good ask.

For the path where Bruno stays in the walls but sends the twins to their mothers village, I like to think that they returned to the Casita a week or two before Antonio's ceremony. They just wanted to know if the rest seen their dad. The two decide to stay for Antonio's ceremony to show their support which leads into the movie.

Ooo! I love that!

Oh man the emotions that would cause, the drama of it all. Just chefs kiss tbh,

"Hey extended family, seen our dad?" *Finger guns* "We don't talk about him, he's been missing for ten years" "Oh Dios Mio."

That would make them stay to try and find their dad and be stuck in a weird dynamic with the Madrigals. They do want to get closer to them but they haven't seen them in ten years and the last memory was how they reacted to Mirabel not getting a gift. So it's a really awkward ordeal. The family also want to mend their relationship with them but they are focused on finding their dad before any mending can be done. They sleep in the Nursery while staying there. Waiting on a Miracle would be highly different like instead, it's a duet of them waiting for a chance to be a part of their family again, and finding their dad. They see Casita breaking and try to tell Abuela but since they literally just showed up and they're acting distant to her she thinks they're messing with her to mess up Antonio's ceremony. Julieta still heals Mirabel's hand and tells them some things about Bruno.

Luisa still breaks at their attempts to get information, surface pressure is about the pressure of being strong for her entire family instead. She tells them Bruno had some vision which is why he sent them to San Costa Roja and disappeared and they should check his tower. They find the vision, probably cry about it bc EMOTIONS.

We don't talk about Bruno ensues and they are thoroughly unimpressed by it. They still put the vision back together and freak out, finally understanding why he just up and left them with their grandparents. The dinner scene happens but it's like 10x awkward because two estranged family members are now a part of a marriage proposal dinner. Agustin still found them over the vision and told them he won't say a word about it, and Dolores still hears, so it's still tense as hell. The vision is revealed, the family runs off in disarray at the chaos, and Camilo and Mirabel follow the rats into the walls.

That reunion is heartbreaking, don't @ me. Mirabel still falls and Camilo tries to reach her, still on the other side but he can't jump over. Bruno comes back and catches her and he falls, scaring the twins, only for him to stand back up, help Camilo across and then run off. They follow him to his room and feel saddened by his living conditions and what he did to protect them. The second vision occurs in Antonio's room again bc he thinks Mirabel and Camilo are cool and his Tio needs to stop living in the damn walls.

Mirabel has to connect with Isabela and Camilo has to connect with Dolores. Their confused as hell on how that can save the miracle but attempt to do so anyways. Isabela and Mirabel have their fight, "Everything went wrong because of you" "You've always been perfect" and eventually they have a heart to heart about both their struggles. Meanwhile, "You heard him living in the walls the entire time we were here and said nothing!" "It wasn't my place to tell! You've been gone for ten years you don't get to be mad!", Camilo and Dolores have their own fight, and eventually makeup, talking about their struggles. Both sets of cousins hug and the candle burns brighter at the family members coming together, but of course Abuela doesn't see it that way.

Canon fight, and they stick up for each other before the house crumbles. (One again, I like to think Mirabel's gift being the miracle applies to any home, so the Solano house was magical. This was brought up in the fight.) Both twins are trying to save the miracle, and get protected by Casita, before they disappear through the crack. When Abuela follows them, they explain what it was like, growing thinking your family was so disappointed at you that you had to leave, the pain of their father leaving, the acceptance they want. Dos Oruguitas happens, along with the hugging scene and Bruno appears, ready to once stand up to his mom for his twins, only for her to hug them.

Casita is rebuilt, Mirabel and Camilo put on the doorknob, and they get their own rooms alongside Bruno's!

mista for the ask game?

Hell yes my beloved guy

favorite thing about them: I love memeing about how funny it is that the personification of his soul is just six little guys, but also there's a lot of layers with his stand that I adore so so much. Like, the fact that he actually has to take care of the Pistols, combined with his sorta protective behavior regarding the rest of the gang (esp Narancia), is really sweet and kinda heartbreaking in hindsight. Also, I definitely read a lot of his superstitions as OCD-related (he's just like me woah), and the Pistols keep him on a comforting routine, so there's that angle, too. Also the thing from PHF that mentions stands in multiple parts/colonies being representative of something deeply sad or broken in the user... yeah :)

least favorite thing about them: I'm always torn about the opening scene from PHF because I love both Mista and Fugo dearly, and I can definitely see where they're both coming from (in fact, I'd say I sympathize with Mista a little more), but like. At the same time. Buddy. That's your friend. Chill out.

favorite line: Every single line he says in the dub plays in my brain on loop 24/7

brOTP: Oh I have SO many. I adore platonic Fugo + Mista and Torture Dance Trio obviously, but I also think (in an everyone lives AU where they don't hate each other post-VA lol) his friendship with Giorno is super funny. Just Local Disaster Man looks at Scarily Competent Maybe Evil Kid and is like "we are best friends now :) let's go to mcdonald's I'll get you a happy meal :)" He definitely tries to give Giorno life advice, and it's mostly terrible, but Giorno will sometimes take it seriously because there's a part of him that thinks of Mista as his cool big brother. Also, Mista and Trish are canon bffs, they hang out at the mall and paint their nails together

OTP: Good evening Naramis micronation <333 While they're sort of high-strung in their own ways, I like the concept of them being able to just be chill with each other, and just. Y'know. Do stupid things together, and find contentment in a way that their lives don't otherwise allow them to. They strike me as two people who just naturally work well together. Also, I love the dynamic of "chaotic dumbasses who probably spend their dates setting things on fire in a Target parking lot, but are somehow role models for a super well-adjusted and healthy couple"

nOTP: oh no fingers crossed I don't wanna start discourse I don't like Giomis tbh. Their platonic dynamic is fun (and their like. weird beef in PHF is super interesting), but I just cannot see them working romantically at all. Mista, especially, I can't picture ever developing feelings for Giorno, even in an AU where everyone turns out fine. Idk, it seems boring at best and toxic at worst.

random headcanon: Oh I have so many and I think I've already shared a bunch, but I feel like talking about the "Hol Horse is Mista's dad" thing. I know it's like a popular joke theory because Guns, but I think it's also legitimately interesting if you draw parallels between Hol Horse/Dio and Mista/Giorno. Like, the PHF bonus chapter, to me, is really reminiscent of the scene from SDC where Hol Horse tries to shoot Dio, but ultimately backs down and is sort of manipulated into keeping his loyalty. Maybe someday I'll write an elaborate post or a fic about this or something.

unpopular opinion: He's not just stupid comic relief!! He's not just Generic Cardboard Cutout Horny Man to throw into spicy fanfics!! He's an interesting character and I love him dearly!!

Patrivan Drives Me Nuts and Here's Why: Part 6

S5E5: Please, Tell The Truth [prev, first]

-> Because Ivan Confirms That He Likes Patrick Without Confirming That He Likes Patrick

Hola, chicos! This is it! We're here!!! Positively vibrating in my seat because we're now at the best episode of the last two seasons of Elite hands down, and the ultimate patrivan serve. Just- the delivery of Manu and Andre this episode is insane. However bad the previous couple of episodes for this two were, episode 5 singlehandedly fixed for us.

Because let's just come out and say it, shall we? We're all thinking of that scene, aren't we? 😏 In the latter half of the episode? That scene that we have waited for, but still hit us like a train wreck when it happened. I don't know, was that just me? Because for a minute, I thought it was going in a completely different direction (ahem Cruz).

Well, we are going to talk about that scene eventually because I have also just realized something about it that resonates with Patrick's "Five Seconds" in S4 and I'm so not normal about it, but I also have so much love in general for this episode that I couldn't just dump all of it in a single post. I think I'll divide E5 into 3 different ones, at least. But this one, this one isn't for that scene yet. Because it's a crime not to dedicate an entire post to this other tender moment between the two. And that's:

6.1 THE LAWN

*whimpering in the background while writing this, because look at them. LOOK AT THEM 🥺*

So, before we see them on the lawn, we first catch Ivan crying at the lobby and automatically think it's because of Ari's rejection, yes? Because the scenes are cut out to suggest such. But it turns out, that it's actually not. (I mean, good grief, what's he to cry about Ari anyway? Because he helped her cheat on her boyfriend? 🙄) It turns out, that it's because his dad is potentially changing football teams, and they might be leaving again soon, just when Ivan has found people he cares about and wants to stay for in Spain.

Oddly, Ari is one of those people. I won't deny that (though I really want to gloss over that 🙄). But it's not because of what Ivan's trying to imply. But rather, because she's the proof of what Ivan has always known about his sexuality. Having desires for Ari is familiar; being desired by Ari is familiar. And so he wants to cling to that familiarity after all the confusing feelings he's repressing for Patrick. (Also, maybe he's just into cheaters idk LMFAO)

BUT, straight out of Ivan's mouth, we know that what he feels for Ari is a far cry from what he feels for Patrick.

HOWEVER, as I have mentioned in a previous post, he's trying to make his crush on Ari a bigger deal than it actually is, while desperately masking the depth of his feelings for Patrick with 'friendship'.

I mean, this conversation just says it all, tbh.

*SCREAMING SOBBING WALLING LIKE AN IDIOT*

Istg, this is driving me nuts. How could it not? Because what Patrick said, just before this, about them being out of sync because they're looking at different directions, couldn't be more accurate in this dialogue. I MEAN, he said-

"What you and I have." "WHAT YOU AND I HAVE." gaaaaahhhh *pulling at the roots of my hair in pure agony*

Ivan, dear boy. You have what you're looking for, you're just not... looking. *wails*

He wants to have in a romantic relationship what he has with Patrick, but with a girl. *sputtering in total disbelief* Is that why he's so insistent on Ari? Patrick's twin freaking sister? Patrick's literal girl version? Istg, istg-

It's absolutely killing me that Ivan knows the exact emotional connection he needs and wants from a partner but his mind is too fixed on getting it from a specific gender. And since he's found it in the wrong gender, he's pushing himself more onto Ari and away from Patrick 😭. Like-

Ivan, porfa. Por favor, dios mio. 🙏 I'm kinda sad, kinda desperate, kinda frustrated at you. Just- *deep breaths*

ANYWHO-

I take this scene as the confirmation of Ivan's romantic attachment to Patrick, and I will die on this hill. I mean, how else am I supposed to read this, huh? Because don't even get me started on the way they look at each other-

Cue Tate McRae's "Friends Don't Look At Friends That Way". Because bitch no, they really don't. Unless they're in denial, which is what Ivan is.

And, good Lord, by the end of this episode, I'll even be singing a different tune. This time: "You say we're just friends. But friends don't know the way you taste la la la."
