It went from sunny to snowing dipndots & I’m feeling a bit off today. I was kind of grouchy at a meeting after a superior said I looked angry when I was really just very exhausted from hormones probably. I’ve gotten a lot done but don’t want to do any of it. I was hopeful they’d cleave off half my job as promised but there’s no budget for the additional admin in the next year so it looks like that’s not going to happen, meanwhile that superior is getting more & more grumpy bc he’s unhappy with his job & I’m kinda bummed it seemed like we were going to be friends & we hung out with him & his husband several times & then his mood just shifted & he seems put off by me suddenly so idk man. I’ve felt I have had a large barrier to establishing new friends up here & idk what it is. I’m just not great with social cues all the time so I feel like I miss something & then moods shift towards me but also I don’t want to be friends with folks who will turn on a dime like that so I guess it’s for the best? Oof just feeling very not stoked at the moment. I’m sure it will pass but for now I’m just gonna feel that way.

a few years back my mom and i befriended the guy who works a dipndots stand at the mall near us and we’d talk to him every time we went to the mall. it’s been at least four years and he still recognizes me every time i say hi :))

I love coming across random ass deviantart pages from looking for memes on google images. And its just clearly a child-teenager from the 2000s. And you know exactly what they were like in person, greasy hair, anime t shirt, im saying this affectionately btw. Maybe you see a bit of yourself in this random deviantart page. And the exact way that an emo weaboo that likes Adult swim and fanfiction.net and death note and black butler and slipknot writes is so distinctive. The way that they just create entirely new personalities for characters. When you can tell that their class was reading a series of unfortunate events because they posted a fanfiction of the south park boys meeting klaus baudelaire.

This was a time before cringe. Forums and apps that weren’t technically social media but were functionally social media- like ifunny. Buying the death note manga at Books a Million, getting dipndots at the mall. Wearing an invader zim hoodie until pubescent sweat and BO ruined it past the point of no return. Jeans and flats and a xl hoodie.
