Dipper first introduces Wirt to video games via the Wii by playing Mario Kart with him, then gets him a second hand DS from somewhere so that Wirt can play on his own on the go with the games he chooses. Dipper later gets a text saying to look at his steam account and sees that he's been gifted Rocket League with the message 'Want to play with me? <3' and he's filled with happiness. They start gifting each other games and playing together when possible
