Decided I wanted to make another piece for @dipril literally minutes before April is over. So here’s something a little weird I kinda just... decided to write today. I don’t know what possessed me to, but there you are. WARNING: contains gratuitous use of the Electron Carpet. And by ‘gratuitous use’ I mean ‘it doesn’t even appear it’s just implied’. :V

One evening, Grunkle Stan decides to clear out his attic full of junk, leaving the old body-swapping carpet laid out in the hallway. Soon, a distraught Mabel, having just been informed of her brother's decision to become Ford's apprentice, runs away with her brother hot on her heels.

The next thing Dipper knows, he's in his sister's body, having felt some weird compelling urge to continue what she was doing and run off into the woods. And it doesn't stop there. Spending a little more time in her shoes, he's forced to acknowledge why she was mad at him in the worst way; and then he's forced to acknowledge how 'freaky-close' they are, if they can swap bodies and not even care that much.

Pinetree VS The Arson

I redrew the scene where Dipper tries to punch Bill, in my Mayethian sharp style. I wanted to make sure I got it done this month for #dipril

Mayethian sharp’s specific style highlights the importance of an element by it’s clarity. So the more blurry something is the less it matters. In this case the background is unimportant while the figures are the focus. 

This is the first time I’ve drawn a Mayethian Sharp character that isn’t an animal. But Bill...really just is this. Nothing else would fit. It’s also the first time I’ve drawn a character with a pupil in the eye. It’s such an iconic part of Bill that he didn’t look like himself without it. I guess Bill is just different, all the others I’ve drawn have always been people. Human spirit animals. So I guess different things translate differently.

A random something I wrote for the @dipril prompt ‘Growing Up’. Because I write so much Mabel I wanted to give Dip-Dop some appreciation, too. And also project my younger self onto him. :V

After Dipper tries - and fails - to buy a video game he's too young for, he runs into Wendy (for the first time outside work since the Bunker incident) and has an aimless chat with her about what it means to be 'mature'.

Warning: this doesn’t really have a plot, it’s just ‘a conversation that happens’. :V
