not sure if you remember how you did this one but, how do you make any of your reference sheets (this one included) look this nice?

or figure out what to put on it?

honestly? a lot of time and energy 😅 i didn't have any templates or special software to make those reference sheets, i just made a rough sketch for what i envisioned and then played around in Clip Studio until it looked how i wanted.

for those references, i knew i wanted a full body of the character, accurate color palettes (easier to color pick from, and because the full body has a color overlay to it), chibis to show different outfits (you get a better feel for their fashion style), and just a few informational blurbs to take up the empty space, as well as some basic info.

of course, when i redo those sheets, i'm not going to spend NEARLY as much time on the formatting (i hope). as pretty as they look, it's a bitch to know that they're outdated and need to be redone.

I'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO KRIHARE, ONE OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITE BLORBOS I RARELY TALK ABOUT HERE

CW for Lady whumper, Death (his own and familial), Framing resulting in his falling, Forced murder, Forced use of necromancy magic, Possession, One sided 'relationship'

Most CWs will be highlighted and stated when over so you can skip those parts!

Krihare is a fallen angel in my dnd world! He's also a necromancer!

Originally he was the angel of morality for the god of balance, Atara

CW: Framing resulting in his falling At that point in his life he was known as Morael! He fell as a result of another angel, the angel of confidence (known as Uisul), took Atara book that they used to communicate with their worshippers and destroyed it before dumping all the evidence on Morael! Morael was completely unaware of it until he was caught with the evidence and was thus made to fall! CW over

BUT BEFORE MORAEL HE WAS KNOWN AS AERIC LUNARSHINE

CW Death (his own and familial)

He lived on a continent named Urios where he had a partner and 3 kids (all adults) :> Unfortunately they were all killed by Tiamat when she destroyed Urios- Two of his kids were reincarnated into unicorns, one of which was later killed by Uisul to spite Morael, and one is still living under the name Helios! (CW over)

ANYWAY BACK TO KRIHARE So when Krihare fell, there were rules to his falling. He couldn't have normal classes, his class had to be related to the dead. Thus he was forced to become a necromancer. He was also going to form a magical bond to a random person, he didn't know who, but that bond forces him to stay with them.

On top of that, if he goes long periods of time without using his magic, his magic starts to hurt him.

He eventually came across a kingdom called Zlesa and met a high elf there named Melody! Melody wished to become queen and Krihare was desperate to find someone to use magic with as he was HURTING, and he could help make Melody's wish possible!

So they performed a ritual to grant Melody more power, but it went wrong due to unknown reasons to both of them at the time, (Wont go into that atm bc it involves even more context) but while Melody did get more power, the necrotic magic twisted her mind and she became something between undead and living.

After Zlesa's current ruler at the time as killed, Melody took over and Krihare worked for her because [drum roll] THE BOND CONNECTED TO MELODY!

CW forced murder, use of necromancy magic, and possession

Over time Krihare was forced to kill the citizens of Zlesa one by one and reanimated them to get them to love Melody even more, or at least be neutral about her. If he failed to do anything per Melody's demand, she could cast Dominate Person on him and make him do whatever she wanted.

And since Krihare had that bond that stuck him to her, the spell didn't have the limitations it normally would! So he essentially became a puppet to her!

CW for One sided 'relationship'

While Melody and Krihare aren't dating, Melody definitely very much has feelings for Krihare that he's very much aware of but refuses to acknowledge.

In Melody's eyes there is a strong emotional relationship between the two of them, in Krihare's eyes it's nothing but business.

So Krihare is stuck in Zlesa with Melody doing the dirty work for her while she relishes in being a beloved queen!

But she does allow him to have a pet owlbear named Sweetie that he cherishes! (Nothing bad ever happens to Sweetie, that is a strict rule I have.)

In my campaign Forgotten Familiarities @emmettnet 's secondary character Dirce is currently dating Krihare and is doing fey's best to get his bond to Melody broken so Krihare can be free from her! And Dirce is very close to doing it but fey is sacrificing feyself for it!

Over all Krihare is INCREDIBLY tragic and this is just a rough summary! A few more things about him are under the cut with art!

[Introduce an oc]

CW for talked about eye whump (on a prosthetic eye), art of preparation for a necromancy ritual, thought about mouth whump!

He has a prosthetic eye with Atara's symbol on it (as he still worships them) which Melody carved her own symbol over because she wanted Krihare's eyes to only be on her!

During the celebration of life of Zlesa's past ruler, instead of having a good time at the ball, Krihare was being made to prepare a ritual to kill Melody's ex and resurrect them so she could get their power! (As the power that was all supposed to go to her partially went to them as well)

Luckily for Virran (Melody's ex) This ritual was unsuccessful as the FF party foiled it!

Oh! And every time he uses his magic, his mouth changes colors, glows, and has the symbol of Atara on his tongue!

Melody has certainly thought about ruining that symbol as well but hasn't yet figured out a good way to go about it as the symbol fades away after a while of Krihare not using his magic!

Finally drew one of the main antagonists of my campaigns, a Tiamat Tiefling half dragon, Eldryth! She’s a sorcerer with 3 different consciousnesses (the green and black one share one, the blue and white one share one, and red one has one of its own) and each consciousness has its own subclass :> She’s also a VERY big fan of making constructs :> She also has access to a wish spell~ also dress inspo from @darkwarfy bc I referenced a drawing of construct!Dirce he did where his outfit was based off of Eldryth bc of the deal he made with her!

Happy Birthday Darkie!

so i had a lot i wanted to say but i left this untouched until the last minute like i always do with things so this is going to be rushed.

you followed me over a year ago after Leah (@keep-a-bucket-full-of-stars) shouted me out and then i believe a month or so later i followed back.

you were always in my notes liking and reblogging my posts so i got curious and decided to take a peak at your blog. best decision on my part by the way.

i saw you posted about Mark's egos (and really digged your Memento Mori fics) and then i saw your ART. and i was like ???? someone with so much talent follows ME? a nobody who just rb's posts without putting any content out?! still a hard concept to believe.

then then.. you start posting about your OCs (or thats when i started to see the posts.) this is the downfall of your notes really.

your mind and creativity is endless, and every piece of content you posted got me hooked. i wanted to know everything!! i still don't Know but i enjoy it all nonetheless.

so i just rb your art, admiring skills as one does when i start to notice one OC in particular. we all know who it is.

okay jokes aside, Dirce is my favorite because i'm a sucker for the "baby" characters. but he is more than that of course and your op Dirce story and comic proves that, among other things.
