Re-watching WandaVision's last episode
I wonder what's more funny?
Hayward being bluffed by Jimmy
Or
Vision and White Vision solving fight by philosophy.
Probably tipping more toward the latter

Summary: You arrived Westview searching for a happy life, but Wanda realized your plans.
Word count: 2400ish
Warnings: Angst,Hurt/Comfort,fluff,Agatha being a flirty menace.
Masterlist
A cheerful voice brought you out of your thoughts.
"Hello,Y/N, How are you?"
"Hi,Mrs. Maximoff, I'm fine. Thanks for asking. How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks sweetie, but please call me Wanda; Mrs. Maximoff is too serious; we are next door neighbors; you have stayed at my house to eat or watch my children when I was busy," she replied smiling.
"Oh, sorry, Mrs. Maxi—I mean Wanda," you said.
"Don't worry, sweetie," she smiled. "This afternoon, Vis and I are going to organize the neighborhood meal; would you like to come? You just got to Westview a little while ago; I guess you don't know everyone yet. If you want to go, it's at 5:00 p.m."
"I'll try to come, but I'm not sure if—"
You were interrupted by the voice of a black-haired woman.
"Wanda, look at that pretty dress," said the raven-haired woman, pointing at the purple dress with gold ribbons.
You had seen her before, walking with Wanda or near the park. Her name was Agape, or something like that.
"My name is Agatha Harkness, hun. And yours?" She said it almost as if she had read your mind.
"Y/N, Miss Harkness. Pleased to meet you," you replied.
"Wanda, you never told me you had such a good-looking and well-mannered friend," said Agatha, nudging Wanda lightly with her elbow.
Wanda sighed and resumed talking to you.
"You're going to the neighborhood meal, then?" asked Wanda. "I'd love to have you there."
"Hun,you totally have to come. The food Wanda makes seems almost magical," she smiled. "Plus, I'd love to have you there too." she winked.
"Well, if you put it that way, I'll have to go." You smiled back.
"I'm glad, Y/N; the twins will be very happy to see you," Wanda said.
"I'll be glad to see you too, hun," said Agatha, winking. "See you later," she added, giving you two effusive kisses on the cheek, making you smell her perfume.
After saying goodbye to both women, you went to your house, and after looking left and right and checking that no one was looking at you, you opened the door.
You left your keys on a table in the hall, took off your shoes, and went to your room.
You took your phone out of your pocket and called the only number you had on that cell phone.
"Agent Y/LN speaking. I need to contact Tyler Hayward."
"Right away, agent," replied the voice on the other end of the line.
"Agent Y/L/N,I was told you wanted to talk to me."
"Yes, director,I have news about the mission at the Westview anomaly."
"Oh yeah? Good work, agent. Add the information to the device created to do the investigation. Any more information you want to disclose?"
"Yes director. I've been invited by Maximoff to the neighborhood potluck."
"Excellent. It will be a good opportunity to gather more information."
"Yes, Director."
"Don't make contact until absolutely necessary, agent. Things are tense, and we can't allow her to suspect you. Our other agent may be in danger of being discovered."
"Should I inform her?"
"No agent. Continue with the investigation," Hayward said before hanging up.
After Hayward hung up, you pulled out a small rectangular device with a button in the center.
From it emerged a hologram that displayed all the information you had gathered about Wanda and the anomaly, along with photos of her and other Westview locations and advertisements, connected to holographic threads with other information, creating a maze of threads, photos, and notes.
You added some more information that you had gotten, creating a data entry for Agatha Harkness and the meal you were going to attend.
After this, you rested for a while and prepared to attend the meal.
You got dressed, grabbed a couple of bottles of booze from the fridge, and headed towards the place where the neighborhood parties were being held.
You greeted the neighbors you met and went to Wanda, who smiled broadly when she saw you arrive.
"There was no need to have brought those drinks, honey."
"Don't worry, Wanda; you invited me, so it seemed like the right thing to do," you replied, smiling. "Where do you want me to leave them?"
"Put them in that cooler over there, along with the rest of the drinks".
You nodded, and after leaving the bottles, you went back to Wanda.
"I'm so glad you were encouraged to come, Y/N."
"Thanks, Wanda. Anyhow, I didn't have much to do this afternoon."
"Enjoy the food, honey. It's on that table over there."
"If you need help, let me know, Wanda." You smiled, trying to hide your true intentions as a S.W.O.R.D. agent. By talking to Wanda, she might relax and inadvertently reveal some secrets that could be useful.
"Don't worry, sweetie, enjoy."
You smiled and headed to the table, grabbing some food and pouring yourself a glass of your favorite drink.
You were talking to some of your neighbors and Wanda until a woman interrupted the conversation you were having with some neighbors.
"I'm so glad you could make it,hun," said Agatha. "Allow me to steal this extremely good-looking neighbor," she added, dragging you out of the conversation.
You let Agatha drag you to one of the tables in the corner and started talking with an abundance of flirting on her part, sometimes making you blush and stumble with your words.
However, thanks to the conversation, you managed to get important information about Wanda: she and her husband, Vision, had had a strong argument, which culminated with him leaving the house to go to sleep somewhere else.
After lunch, you went home and added the new information you had obtained to the information you already had.
After that, you went back to contact Hayward.
"Agent Y/L/N, I told you not to contact me again. This is the second time you have called me today."
"Director, I have important information."
"Release it right now, agent. If it's not good enough, I'm going to relegate you to desk duty."
You rolled your eyes when you heard this. You were one of the best agents S.W.O.R.D. had, and both Hayward and you knew it.
"Vision, the android synthroid, has had a falling out with Maximoff. They're not together right now."
"Great time to strike. I'll get the troops ready then and warn the agent we have there. Too bad Maximoff found out; now you're the only one there."
"This information had not been communicated to me."
"It was not deemed necessary."
"My safety is important. I believe that-"
"Silence, agent. Prepare for attack."
"Director, one last thing. I don't think Wanda is aware of the damage she causes people in the hex."
"I don't care about that. We're going on tonight. Grab your gear and get ready," Hayward replied dryly before hanging up.
"What an asshole!" you muttered.
You prepared your equipment and weapons and waited for nightfall so you could carefully escape from your house and join the rest of the agents.
"Agent Y/L/N, you finally arrived," said Hayward sarcastically.
"I live in Westview; I have to be careful not to be suspected."
"Nonsense. Get ready. Maximoff is coming."
You nodded, rolling your eyes, and after girding your helmet on your head, you waited for Wanda to arrive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mission had not gone as expected.
Wanda had controlled the soldiers to target Hayward, and after a tense discussion, she returned to the hex, but not before taking an agent hostage.
She dragged you to her house without saying a word to you,and after arriving at her house, she took you to her basement and, with a snap of her fingers, chained you to a chair.
"Trying to attack my house doesn't seem like a good idea," she said, her voice marked by her Sokovian accent and anger.
You didn't respond, so she wouldn't recognize your voice.
"Oh, so the agent doesn't respond? Let's see who's behind this helmet, shall we?" She said, pulling the helmet off your head.
When she saw your face, it fell to the ground.
"You," she said, her voice marked by surprise and anger.
"Wanda,I'm sorry,I-"
"Shut up!" she snarled, her eyes glowing red. "Really Y/N? You've been in my house, you've been taking care of my kids, and it turns out that all this time, you were working for S.W.O.R.D."
"Wanda, I-"
She held up her hand, shushing you using her magic.
"You lied to me, Y/N. I let you into my house,I talked to you about my family, everything I lost, and this is how you repay me?" she said, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Wanda, I'm sorry; I never meant to hurt you!"
"You never meant any harm." Wanda laughed dryly. "Lies. You took advantage of me,just like Monica! All S.W.O.R.D. is the same!"
"Is Monica okay?" you asked, with a lump in your throat.
"Yes. But I don't think she's going to be able to say the same about you. You're going to stay here,in chains, watching me destroy your beloved S.W.O.R.D.," he said menacingly, his eyes glowing red.
"Wanda, please,if you surrender peacefully, you can get a deal, but if you attack, you will lose all your chances."
Wanda walked up to you and grabbed your chin hard.
"Shut up before I send you back to S.W.O.R.D. so they can finish you off. For the hostage to come back safe and sound from a person as dangerous as me is not a good sign, is it?"
You nodded in fear.
"Wanda, please don't do anything you might regret."
"Do you regret all the harm you have done to me?" she replied hatefully. "Surely every time you spoke to me it was to get information out of me. Every smile, every joke, and every day taking care of my children was just one more opportunity for you. More information, more ideas on how to steal everything from me."
You didn't respond.
"Answer me Y/N!"
"I'm sorry, Wanda. I really am."
Wanda scoffed and turned away before glaring hatefully at you once again.
Then she went to your house, and with a flick of her wrist, the door opened, and she entered your house.
She walked to your room, looking for something you could gather information on.
After a few minutes, she found a cell phone and checked the contacts; there was only one: Tyler Hayward.
She called, and a male voice answered.
"Agent Y/LN,are you okay?"
"Your beloved agent can't come to the phone right now, Hayward. You've tried to trash everything I cared about,so now I'll return the favor."
"Wanda-"
The call was cut short when Wanda hung up and threw the cell phone on the floor, walking out of your house.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hayward's face denoted anger.
"Get a team ready. Now. The witch is going down."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mind was racing, looking for ways to get out of the chains that were trapping you.
After trying but not succeeding, you decided to take the last decision you had left: dislocate your thumbs so you could remove your hands and try to get the chains away from your body.
With a grunt of pain, you succeeded and pulled the chains away from your body.
You stood up, put your thumbs back in place, and grabbed your helmet.
You looked around the basement you were in to see if you could find any weapons, and after a while, you found your gun.
You checked and saw that you only had three bullets left.
You put on your helmet, and after putting on your bulletproof vest, you left Wanda's house to prevent her from dying.
After walking for a while, you reached the edge of the hex and got out.
You could hear the screams of agents, the sound of bullets, and the smell of gunpowder in the air, so you quickly went there.
You found Wanda, with a couple of cuts and a bloody nose, surrounded by several agents with some kind of electric gun that prevented her powers from working properly.
Your gaze met Hayward's, and at that moment, you made a decision. S.W.O.R.D. or Wanda The decision was easy.
You raised your gun and pointed it at one of your former comrades' weapons, causing an explosion of sparks to fly out of it and knock him out.
Wanda used that moment of surprise to knock out more agents while you ran to one of the cars, knocking out the driver with the butt of your gun and starting the car's engine.
A mixture of surprise and hatred crossed Wanda's face, and it was in that moment of distraction that a bullet pierced her shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground in pain.
You went to her aid, firing the two bullets that you had left and quickly pulling Wanda into the "borrowed" car.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
When Wanda opened her eyes again, the first thing she saw was your worried face.
She tried to get up, but a piercing pain shot through her shoulder.
"Careful, even if I took the bullet out of you, you're still hurt."
"Where the hell are we?" asked Wanda.
"My house. We'll be safe here for the time being."
"Why?
"Why what?
"Why did you save me?"
You sighed.
"Wanda, I really care about you. It may have been a mission for S.W.O.R.D., but it wasn't for me. I really cared about you. You were someone I could trust."
"Where are my children?"
"I left them my movies and food and told them you were with me to prepare a meal and discuss some stuff so you'll sleep here this night."
"Thank you."
You nodded and stood up.
"I'll bring you the food."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were awakened by a cry of pain.
You quickly ran to the room where Wanda was and found her sitting up in bed, wincing in pain.
"Have your stitches opened up?"
"N-No, it was just a bad dream."
"Do you want me to stay here just in case?"
Wanda hesitated, but after a few seconds, she nodded.
You pulled up a chair and stood next to the bed.
In a moment of boldness, you grabbed her hand.
"I'm going to show you that I really care about you, Wanda. I promise."
A smile bloomed on Wanda's lips.
"If you give me a dish this good again, I might start to believe it."
"Rest assured," you said. "Sleep," you said, giving Wanda a kiss on her forehead. "I'll be here for you."

In 2021 the limited series on the career of designer Halston (Roy Halston Frowick, portrayed by Ewan McGregor) waltzed down Netflix's catwalk. Now we have at least three series chronicling the lives and careers of designers.
Currently on Disney+ in Europe is the exquisite CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA centering on, guess who? Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga, starring Alberto San Juan (Reyes De La Noche) as Balenciaga.
Tumblr media
It's an interesting story about this enigmatic fashion genius that shows his steadfastness in his devotion to fashion to the sacrifice, some may say, of ethics due to the fact that while other fashion houses were shut down during Germany's occupation of some parts of France, he readily made clothes for the significant others of German soldiers.
Tumblr media
The series also shines a light on Balenciaga's relationship with his creative partner and love-of-his-life Wladzio d'Attainville (played by Thomas Coumans).
Tumblr media
Among the designers who appear or are name-checked in CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA is Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. These two fashion legends will appear in AppleTV+'s upcoming mini-series THE NEW LOOK with Ben Mendelsohn as Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel and takes place during Germany's occupation of France.
Tumblr media
youtube
THE NEW LOOK will feature covers of classics by Florence + and The Machine, Lana del Rey, The 1975, Perfume Genius and more.
Sometimes this year (at least I hope this year) will be KAISER KARL (apparently the title may be changed) starring Daniel Brühl as Kunty Karl Lagerfeld
Tumblr media Tumblr media
centering on him as a 38-year old trying to break into the Parisian world of high fashion where he finds himself in competition with he finds himself in competition with French fashion giants like Yves Saint Laurent.
The only Yves Saint Laurent depiction worth a damn. RIP beautiful Gaspard Ulliel
What is fashion if there's no one to wear it? For example, the high society ladies that will be depicted in the upcoming installment of FX's FEUD: CAPOTE VS. THE SWANS.
Tumblr media
Hopefully this series will do justice to the mythos behind writer Truman Capote's nuclear fall out with the so-called Swans - a moniker Capote gave the socialites whose company he kept and whose secrets he didn't.
Playing Capote is Tom Hollander
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naomi Watts as Babe Paley, wife of CBS founder William S. Paley (which the annual PaleyFest is named after), Diane Lane as Slim Keith, ex-wife of famed director Howard Hawks, producer Leland Hayward amongst others; Calista Flockhart as Lee Radziwill, sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Demi Moore Ann Woodward who got her place in society by being the wife of a banking heir,
Demi, that looks like a flamingo, not a swan.
Tumblr media
Chloe Sevigny as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali muse C.Z. Guest, Molly Ringwald as JoAnne Carson, ex-wife of late-night talk show host Johnny Carson and the only Swan who remained friends with Capote after his ouster from their social circle.
Tumblr media
TBT Elle magazine getting animated with fashion.
Goofy as Kunty Karl Lagerfeld.

An Alliance (Part 4)
Tumblr media
Fem! Spy! (Y/N) x Yuri Briar
Parts: One, two, three, current part, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten (to be continued when Spy x Family has more Yuri content!)
(Y/N) is given her own backstory that is important for the story!
The setting for this story is based off West and East Germany's (because Spy x Family is heavily based off Germany in the 1940-1950) laws (or at least replicated to the best of my abilities since it's unknown what time period Spy x Family is exactly in, we'll go with 1950 for the sake of this story).
Historically-accurate women misogyny and mistreatment! Only small comments and historically-accurate laws (replicated to the best of my ability).
The story, plot, and settings might not match up to the Spy x Family manga as it's not completed and the manga is still being crafted.
This series contains spoilers for the manga and anime!
Tumblr media
I followed the first and second-lieutenant down the city hall hallway, holding our heads up high and walking with purpose. I tried to appear confident but I wasn't quite sure if I was as convincing as Briar and lieutenant—I look like a joke compared to them and it's all cause of my height (I'm sorry if you're not under 5'10").
I mentally glared at Briar and lieutenant.
If I was taller, people would take me more seriously. Maybe if I was 6'6", Briar would stop being a jerk.
I ignored the thought we entered an open-door room. Immediately, Jim was nervous.
"D-do you people need something?!" he spoke, nervous in his seat.
Tsk-tsk. You're already acting like you know why we're here.
The lieutenant showed Jim his SSS badge, then spoke: "We're from the State Security Service. Jim Hayward, correct? You're under arrest for suspicion of espionage."
Me and Briar both walked behind him and grabbed his arms.
"Y-you think I'm a spy?! Hey, wait!" he exclaimed as we dragged him as he tried sliding his feet on the floor.
People gathered around, shocked and scared at the scene they're witnessing
Wussies. And why the hell is everyone here? Does nobody know how to mind their damn business? I thought, my anger starting to raise as we were being gawked at by noisy bystanders.
"Stop this! Let me go!" Jim protested.
"Shut up. You can give your story back at HQ." Lieutenant spoke.
Thank you. I was about to tell him off in a much more unprofessional way.
We dragged him to an armored van, throwing him in the back as me and Briar closed the door and opened the backseat doors, hopping in as first-lieutenant jumped in the passenger-seat.
"Drive to HQ." Lieutenant ordered the driver.
The driver nodded as he sped off. I softly sighed and leaned my head on Briar's shoulder.
"Get. Off..." he harshly muttered, nudging me away from him.
I glared at him, sticking out my tongue before leaning back on his shoulder.
        "I don't wanna..." I muttered back.
"I don't care what you want..." he quickly retorted.
I mentally whined, leaning off of Briar and huffing as I crossed my arms and legs to show I was angry.
"Thank you for your assistance today, you two." The lieutenant spoke, causing me and Briar to both jump slightly, forgetting that he was here.
I looked up and saw him staring at us from the driver mirror.
"T-thank you, sir!" Briar quickly spoke, nodding his head in respect.
"Y-yes! Thank you for allowing me to accompany you both on this mission." I smiled, nodding my head too.
I didn't really want him to assume I was being disrespectful or naive; this guy kind of scares me.
        .
        .
The Director waited outside of the interrogation room with me and Briar, waiting for any word from the lieutenant.
"Second-lieutenant Briar and female-lieutenant Mrs. Briar." The Director acknowledged, then looked at Briar. "Show your wife how it's done." The Director spoke, placing a cigar in his mouth.
Briar smiled, his eye twitching as I mentally gagged. We didn't say nothing since other officers were around us.
"Yes, sir!" he saluted as I quickly copied his actions, "I'll give this my best shot!" he smiled, his eyes darkening as I mentally eyed him, confused with his sudden confidence in this.
Is there something up his sleeve?
We both walked into the dark room, seeing Jim facing the wall and at Lieutenant. A man sat in a nearby desk, documenting everything on paper as he wrote.
"Good work, Lieutenant. The boss asked me to switch in." Briar spoke.
"Okay. I'll leave him to you two." Lieutenant spoke, a cigarette in his mouth as he stood up and patted Briar's shoulder.
He walked over to me and patted me on the head. I watched him leave the room, visibly shocked and glaring holes into the back of his head.
What'd he do that for?! Why didn't he pat me on the shoulder like Briar? Was that his way of saying he doesn't respect me as he does to Briar? Did he do that cause I'm a woman? Was it because of the height difference? I know Briar's more his height but the audacity of that man!
Briar took a seat in front of Jim as I decided to watch a few steps away, watching closely to see how different he decided to take the approach as he did to me the first time we met.
"Hello there, Mr. Hayward." Briar spoke, taking off his hat and taking a seat, just as he did when we met yesterday.
"...I have nothing to say." Jim sighed.
I took a good look at his face and did my best not to cackle.
I guess being a woman isn't that bad if I don't get tortured like him. I thought to myself.
Mr. Hayward had a completely bruised and swollen left eye, his face bruised and bloody as blood trickled from his nose and mouth (he was also missing a tooth). His arms and hands were burnt with cigarettes; I was able to tell from the specific blisters swelling up a pale red and the container containing smushed cigarettes (also because lieutenant walked out with a cigarette in his mouth).
"Listen to this!" Briar spoke excitedly, leaning on the table. "After this, I'll be going to congratulate my sister on her wedding!"
Now that caught me off guard.
We're going to visit Briar's sister? I thought, before immediately shaking my head. Of course I'm not. Briar would never trust me around his dear sister, he doesn't even trust me to make coffee without running! Not to mention he gags just at the thought of us being legally married, so there's no way he's making me see his sister. He'll probably just drop me off in the Director's office.
That thought made me angry. I wanna meet her! I want to know if she's a jerk like Briar or if she's nice!
"I haven't even seen her for so long! I can't wait!" Briar cheered.
        "Uh...okay..." Jim spoke, confused.
"She's so kind and beautiful! I've always been so proud of my sister." Briar continued on.
I silently-huffed, crossing my arms as I showed my distaste.
Why he is so excited? It's just family? If my family was still alive, I'd be visiting them every weekend! It feels like I have competition for Briar, and I hate it.
Competition? For Briar? I mentally gagged. No, no. I just don't want him to get distracted. Maybe if he realizes his sister knows about me, he'll kill me because he's so ashamed of his sister finding out about me! I'm not worried about fighting for his attention! That would be childish of me.
        Yeah...childish...
Just the thought of imagining this kind, beautiful, older sister of Briar's just left a disgusting, bitter taste in my mouth that not even plain black coffee or aloe could compete too.
I'm not jealous! I thought, tapping my boot on the ground to cope as I bit my cheek harder.
"Um, but...I..." Jim was utterly confused, just like me.
"Oh! And she even works at the same office as you!" Briar beamed.
The financial department in city hall? Is that why Briar wanted to know who I met when I was at city hall for a recent mission? Wow! He must really hate me if he doesn't want his sister to even know of my presence!
I bit my cheek even harder, my foot tapping more rapidly as I started to dig my nails into my arms.
"That reminds me, I really need to call her office soon! Actually, I still haven't told her I'm coming..." Briar spoke, looking at the watch on his wrist. "Anyways, I'd like to finish this up and clock out. So how about you just tell me everything real quick?" Briar smiled.
"T-there's nothing to tell! This whole accusation is bullcrap!" Jim shouted.
I watched as Briar pulled that yellow envelope out of his pocket that he collected from his office earlier. He emptied out the contents of it, showing pictures of Jim Hayward giving a man with a trench coat, suitcase, and hat a folder.
Ooo. Red-handed! I thought, resisting the urge to gasp. Wait, where did he get those if he didn't know about Jim yesterday?
"These are photos of you handing over the documents. That is you, right, Mr. Hayward?" Briar smiled contently.
"Hold on! You! Why weren't these photos in evidence until now!?" the man documenting this shouted, hastily writing with one hand as he looked at Briar, holding a photo of Jim Hayward committing treason in his other hand.
"Sorry, I forgot to turn them over. Ha ha." Briar smiled.
I eyed him suspiciously but decided not to say anything until later.
Hayward looked down and scoffed in defeat. He stayed quiet for a minute before speaking.
"...All I did was make copies of the documents they asked for and leave them at the designated location in exchange for cash." He admitted. "It's true that I don't know anything about the other man. Not even his name. Just that he's from the West."
Briar immediately looked at me, causing me to mentally scoff and shake my head: "He said a man; not a woman." I said with my eyes. "Wasn't me."
Briar looked back at Jim. "Did you notice anything unusual about him? The way he speaks? Body language? Maybe just an uncomfortable feeling? For example, did anything about him not match his apparent age?" Briar questioned.
"I'm not sure... I don't remember anything like that..." Jim spoke.
"Alright then." Briar sighed, leaning his head on his hands. "Have you ever heard the name...Twilight?" he questioned.
Twilight again? Really? He should really change his codename or something since all of SSS knows that name. He must've slipped up and had a witness if his codename got in the hands of SSS. I wasn't even a known spy until that mole screwed me over. I thought, mentally scoffing. If I ever meet the bastard that got me in this situation, I'll do WISE a favor and execute the mole.
        "Huh? Whose that?" Jim questioned.
"A spy from the West. A master of disguise. And a villain who would throw this country into chaos. You could call him a natural enemy of an organization like ours." Briar explained.
I mentally rolled my eyes. And here he goes again with his caveman talk of "West bad! East good!"
"S-so you'd let me off the hook if I help you catch him...?" Jim questioned, a hope in his eyes and tone.
"Well, do you know anything?" Briar questioned, serious as he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms.
"H-hold on, I'm remembering something..." Jim spoke, making me cock an eyebrow at his obvious lie.
"Do keep in mind that feeding us nonsense will only add to your crimes." Briar pointed out.
"...C'mon! I wasn't trying to hurt anyone! I just wanted some pocket change to mess around with girls! Honest!" Jim cracked.
"Don't you have a wife though...?" Briar questioned, judgment in his voice.
I resisted the powerful urge to slap Jim in the back of the head and scream my head off about his behavior and motivations.
"You're a man, you know how it is! Don't you want to sow your oats?" Jim spoke, trying to defend himself very poorly. “All I did was lose some scraps of paper, right? That’s not treason, right? You’ll let me go, right?” Jim spoke, smiling nervously as his eyes widened.
“You know, Mr. Hayward. I’m keeping my job at the SSS a secret from my sister. After all, you can never be too careful in this line of work. But more importantly…” Briar reached into his pocket and grabbed black gloves as I leaned closer to see what he was about to do.
“I don’t want her to know how much dirty work I have to do.” He spoke, quickly grabbing Jim’s head and slamming it down on the desk.
I jumped, gawking as the transcriber looked back to make sure I was alright, to which I nodded to as I observed closely from a different distance as I took a step back.
“What you’ve done, Mr. Hayward, is absolutely treason.” Briar spoke, keeping Jim’s head down. “Maybe to you it was just a scrap of paper. But do you realize how many of our civilian’s lives you put in danger? Unlike you, I love my family. I love my sister. And I’ll do anything to protect the country she lives in.” Briar spat out harshly.
Aw. That’s kind of cute but definitely not the time right now. I thought to myself.
“Anything.” He spoke sinisterly, leaning forward and darkening his voice.
Yeah, not so cute anymore. I thought to myself.
Briar sighed and looked back to the documenter. “Was that enough of a confession?”
The transcriber nodded, giving him a thumbs up.
        “Good work, sir.” He spoke.
Briar stood up, removing his hand from Jim. Jim shot up immediately and stared at him, shocked and shitless out of his mind.
“W-what happens to me?” Jim questioned.
“Oh. You’ll be going away for a very, very long time.” Briar smiled, removing his gloves. “But that doesn’t bother you, right? You won’t see your wife ever again, so what’s the problem?”
“H-hey! Wait! You can’t just leave me!” Jim spoke as Briar walked towards me.
“You got him, right?” Briar questioned towards the transcriber.
“Yep. Have a good day, sir.” He answered.
Briar walked out, closing the door as I followed behind him, keeping a slight distance in case he was still mad.
“Did I scare you?” he questioned.
“Yeah.” I admitted. “But your strength was kind of hot.” I spoke, causing Briar to whip his head around so damn quickly.
“I—! You! You can’t just say that out of nowhere, especially at work!” he shouted, causing me to laugh. “My strength is to provoke fear, not…that!” he spoke.
“I was just being honest?” I spoke, tilting my head and acting like I did nothing wrong.
“Yeah? Well, keep those thoughts to yourself.” He huffed, his face red as we continued walking down the hallway to the Director’s office.
We knocked, which was answered by an “enter.”
“Here you two are! My favorite workers!” he smiled.
I ignored the slight pride in my chest as the praise as Briar and I saluted.
“We got the confession from Jim Hayward.” Briar said.
“Wonderful! I knew you could it, Mr. Briar. And how was the lesson, Mrs. Briar?” The Director asked me as me and Briar cringed.
“Eh. It was…amusing and something I’m glad I didn’t miss.” I smiled, eyeing Briar as he huffed, his face going red.
“I got a question for you, sir.” I spoke up.
“It better not be something stupid.” Briar mumbled to me.
“Why do I got the hat? I mean, it’s cute and all, but isn’t it for lieutenants? That, and it has roses.” I questioned, pointing at the hat.
“It’s cute. And you’re our first female lieutenant. Who knows, we could have a female branch in the SSS and you’ll be in charge!” The Director spoke, fantasizing.
        “Segregation.” I pointed out.
“But it’s not discriminatory.” The Director smiled.
“Not in your book...” I grumbled, crossing my arms.
“It’s a cute look. At least I didn’t give you the pink uniform, I was really contemplating it too.” The Director sighed, causing me look at him disgusted.
“Yeah. Thanks for not ordering that pink uniform.” I sighed.
“Actually, I’d think it’d suit you.” Briar chuckled.
“You think?” The Director questioned, excited as he smiled.
        “No!” I retorted.
“Yes. Especially because it’ll match your stuffed bun—“ I elbowed Briar hard in the stomach, causing him to double over and groan as the Director immediately decided to not laugh.
“That wasn’t cute…” Briar wheezed out as I smiled.
“Sorry, honey.” I chuckled as Briar groaned, rolling his eyes as he stood up straight.
“Well, we should get going and clock out.” Briar spoke, a smile on his face (probably from thinking of his sister).
“Oh, you’re not going to ditch me here?” I questioned.
“No? I mean, it’s a good idea.” Briar spoke. "Do you want that?"
“Don’t leave me!” I immediately shut down the idea. “I just thought since you’re going to visit your sister you’d hide me.” I spoke.
“Your visiting your sister?” The Director spoke. “That’s cute. Meeting your in-laws already.”
“Yeah. Couple goals.” I spoke sarcastically.
“Who said I was going to leave you? I have to make sure you don’t do something stupid. But there will be rules.” Briar stated.
“Yes, sir.” I spoke, saluting, then looked at the Director. “Bye, Director, sir.” I spoke, bowing as Briar said his own goodbye.
We walked out of the office and down the many hallways, getting to the outside of the locker rooms. He told me to"wait here", then grabbed our bags from his locker since I don't have my own locker yet.
“Alright. I’m going to go change in the locker rooms, you go change in the fitting rooms there. We will meet right here. If you are not here in five minutes, I’ll pull this alarm right here and the whole building will go in lockdown.” Briar explained, pointing to a red button with a glass case surrounding it.
        “Okay.” I nodded.
I grabbed my bag that Briar handed to me and I walked to the changing room, quickly changing into my black long-sleeved shirt, black tights, dark gray shorts, and my black shoes. I stuffed my uniform into my bag and walked out of the room, stopping at the spot me and Briar agreed to meet at and waiting for him.
“Took you long enough.” I spoke playfully as he walked to me.
I grabbed his hand and held it, then made our way to the parking lot.
“We’re going to go stop by a bouquet before we get there.” Briar spoke, and I nodded.
We entered the car (with no tomfoolery from Briar) and shoved our bags in the backseat. We had a quiet and peaceful moment of silence, Briar drumming this fingers on the steering finger as I looked out the window. The sun was setting already.
Has it really been that long? Today felt so short and…strangely fun? I thought. That’s weird. I’m not supposed to be enjoying my time with the enemy. I should be finding a way back to WISE's HQ before they realize I’m alive and working with the enemy.
        “Yuri.” Briar suddenly spoke.
        I looked at him, confused.
        “What?” I questioned.
“My first name is Yuri, my last name is Briar.” He sighed.
I looked at him, surprised as I blinked.
“Don’t think you earned it—because you didn’t. But my sister doesn’t know about us at all; I just told her today that you’re my wife and that you’re coming with me for our visit.” Briar, no, Yuri, spoke.
I smiled, my heart swelling at how he didn’t say “wife” with any sort of disgust or regret, simply stating it as if it was second nature.
“My sister also doesn’t know about our jobs as the SSS, and she’s not allowed to know either. If you tell her, it’ll be a breach of the contract and I’ll execute you—with or without permission from the Director. My sister means more to me than my job or your life because of all she’s done for me. I won’t allow you to disrespect or take her kindness to your advantage. You will follow my lead.” Yuri spoke.
I hummed, nodding to show I understood as I looked out the window, the sky darkening.
“Yuri, Yuri…” I muttered. “I really love your name, Yuri. I think it suits you.” I admitted, turning my head so he could see my honesty as I smiled.
He huffed, grumbling out a "thanks" as he hid his face.

an idea that i really like for post-finale headcanons is that after hayward is arrested, and a new director is sought to head up sword, mack as the director of shield recommends his agent daisy johnson for the position, based on her previous leadership experience and hands-on knowledge of space.
wandavision happens about 4 years after the finale of agents of shield, so assuming that daisy has spent even half of that time as an astro ambassador, that would bump her flighttime in space to at least 2-3 years.
and then Director Johnson of S.W.O.R.D. would redirect the agencys focus to again concentrate on extraterrestrial threats, collaborating heavily with S.H.I.E.L.D. under Director Mackenzie. I feel like thats a very satisfying direction to take her character. especially since coulson wanted her to be director since basically season 4, and i will still die on the hill that she did an amazing job in season 5.
after work she would go home to her husband daniel sousa, and just put her legs up and decompress while videochatting with her sister, who leads her own fieldteam in sword on zephyr 4.

wait, is that DANI CORDOVA? they kinda look a lot like LIZETH SELENE, don’t they? i heard the TWENTY-ONE year old is known as the RUNAWAY around mckinley. it seems like they auditioned to be in THE TROUBLETONES which is so lame? people at campus have said they’re MELLOW, but don’t be fooled since they’re also AIMLESS. rumor has it, you can find them at GAY/STRAIGHT ALLIANCE when they aren’t belting show tunes. their entire vibe revolves around SMUDGED EYELINER, THE SOFT STRUMMING OF AN OLD GUITAR, & A BODY LITTERED WITH TATTOOS OF UNSPOKEN MEMORIES but no one pays attention to that here in ohio.
auditioning with: good luck, babe! by chappell roan 🎵
stats.
full name: danielle elena cordvova
nicknames: dani
gender: gender fluid
pronouns: she/they
sexuality: lesbian
age: 21
date of birth: january 23rd
zodiac sign: aquarius
clubs & teams: the troubletones, gsa
major: music performance
headcanons.
at the age of seventeen, dani's life was abruptly turned upside down when her parents discovered one of the many secrets she'd been keeping from them, before she had a chance to even consider opening up about it herself. rather than stay behind and deal with the consequences, she packed a bag, left town, and finally opened herself up to the freedom of being her true self.
along that journey of self discovery, danielle became dani - a name that feels just far more her, and along with a new name, began to freely label themselves as both a lesbian and gender fluid, refusing to let the opinions of anyone - including those she once loved - get in her way of happiness.
it's been almost five years since she first left her family, and though she still isn't quite sure she's really found her true home just yet, mckinley has been a pretty solid temporary one. she's managed to make friends, ones who accept her for who she is, and though she hasn't managed to work through everything her parents put into her head... it's a work in progress, and every day that she gets to live life without feeling like she has to hide is a million times better than the closet she'd been trapped in for so long.
wanted connections.
ex (open to f/nb) - could be messy, or could be on good terms! 0/1-2 taken 💔
crush (open to f/nb) - could be either sided or mutual, i'm down for whatever! (could also be open to a male muse if it's one sided on their end and you want their heart to be broken lol) 1/1-2 taken ☺️ jane hayward
best friend (open to anyone) - probably someone chill, though it could definitely be a thing where they sort of balance each other out! 1/1 taken 👯 brittany pierce
band (open anyone) - i would love for dani to be in a little garage band! i'm thinking it'll be a new thing that's just getting started, probably somewhere between 4-6 members total, but there's also room for things like a manager role/artistic director/etc. dani would be on guitar and backing vocals, but all other parts are up for grabs! 1/4-6 taken 🎸 noah puckerman (bassist)
enemy (open to anyone) - enemy might be a little bit of a strong term here, but basically just something where, for whatever reason, these two just don't get along. maybe they just got off on the wrong foot, maybe there was some sort of misunderstanding, whatever! there can definitely be reconciliation later down the line, and maybe even a friendship can blossom out of it. 1/1 taken 🤬 finn hudson
one night stand (open to f/nb) - maybe it was something that went poorly and now they avoid each other in hopes of not having to deal with another awkward interaction, or maybe they both realized the connection simply wasn't there and it never went past that one date, but it's something they can laugh about now! 0/1 taken 🫠
friends with benefits (open to f/nb) - pretty self explanatory. maybe there's something more there, maybe not! 1/1-3 taken 🔥 bree brown
roommates (open to anyone) - note: i'm not sure if the campus allows co-ed dorming so this might just be for f/nb muses. dani dorms on campus. i'm cool with this being something where they signed up to room together, or randomly assigned. 1/1-2 taken 🛏️ bree brown

Your Twin Peaks fun fact of the day
Day #12
Lots of actors in Twin Peaks have some sort of connection to each other, to others actors, or had worked with Lynch before Twin Peaks.
Here are some examples:
If you've paid attention to the credits in the opening you'll see the name Warren Frost. He played Will Hayward, Donna's father, and was Mark Frost's, one of the creators of Twin Peaks, father.
There's also Stephen Gyllenhaal who directed episode 27 who is Jake and Maggie's Gyllenhaal father.
There's also some Twin Peaks actors whose children are now famous. Such as Peggy Lipton, who played Norma Jennings, her daughter is actress Rashida Jones, her father is legendary music producer Quincy Jones. Mary Jo Deschanel, who played Eileen Hayward, is the wife of Caleb Deschanel, who directed three Twin Peaks episodes. Their daughters are Zooey and Emily Deschanel. There's also Russ Tamblyn, who played Dr. Jacoby, he' the father of Amber Tamblyn.
Eric Da Re, who played Leo Johnson, is the son of Twin Peaks casting director Johanna Ray.
Robyn Lively, who played Lana Budding Mildford, is the half-sister of Blake Lively.
Miguel Ferrer, who played Agent Rosenfield, was the cousin of Goerge Clooney.
Jack Nance, who played Pete Martell, collaborated with Lynch in Eraserhead when he played the lead role and had minor roles in Dune and Blue Velvet. Kyle MacLachlan, who played Agent Cooper, played the lead roles in Dune and Blue Velvet. Frank Silva, who played Bob, worked on the set of Dune, Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart, Catherine Coulson, who played the Log Lady, did assistant camera work on the set of Eraserhead. Everett McGill, who played Big Ed, Grace Zabriskie, who played Sarah Palmer and Charlotte Stewart, who played Betty Briggs, also had small roles in Lynch's early work.
Catherine Coulson was married to Jack Nance.
Richard Beymer, who played Benjamin Horne, and Russ Tamblyn both starred together in West Side Story.

3) The Reading List - Sara Nisha Adams -
Widower Mukesh lives a quiet life in the London Borough of Ealing after losing his beloved wife. He shops every Wednesday, goes to Temple, and worries about his granddaughter, Priya, who hides in her room reading while he spends his evenings watching nature documentaries. Aleisha is a bright but anxious teenager working at the local library for the summer when she discovers a crumpled-up piece of paper in the back of To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s a list of novels that she’s never heard of before. Intrigued, and a little bored with her slow job at the checkout desk, she impulsively decides to read every book on the list, one after the other. As each story gives up its magic, the books transport Aleisha from the painful realities she’s facing at home. When Mukesh arrives at the library, desperate to forge a connection with his bookworm granddaughter, Aleisha passes along the reading list… hoping that it will be a lifeline for him too. Slowly, the shared books create a connection between two lonely souls, as fiction helps them escape their grief and everyday troubles and find joy again.
4) Midnight Is The Darkest Hour - Ashley Winstead -
Ruth Collier has always felt like an outsider, even as her father rains fire and brimstone from the church pulpit. In Bottom Springs, his word is as good as law. But there are things the townspeople fear more than God, like the Low Man, a vampiric figure said to kill sinners in their beds on moonless nights. When a skull is found deep in the swamp, a hunt for the Low Man begins. Suspicion turns to Everett – Ruth's oldest friend, with a dark past. As Ruth and Everett grow closer, Ruth begins to unearth the town's secrets, determined to discover the truth. But as the line between good and evil grows ever thin, how far will Ruth go to save the person she loves most?
5) The Appeal - Janice Hallett -
The Fairway Players, a local theatre group, is in the midst of rehearsals when tragedy strikes the family of director Martin Hayward and his wife Helen, the play’s star. Their young granddaughter has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and with an experimental treatment costing a tremendous sum, their castmates rally to raise the money to give her a chance at survival. But not everybody is convinced of the experimental treatment’s efficacy—or of the good intentions of those involved. As tension grows within the community, things come to a shocking head at the explosive dress rehearsal. The next day, a dead body is found, and soon, an arrest is made. In the run-up to the trial, two young lawyers sift through the material—emails, messages, letters—with a growing suspicion that the killer may be hiding in plain sight. The evidence is all there, between the lines, waiting to be uncovered.
6) My Sister, The Serial Killer - Oyinkan Braithwaite -
When Korede's dinner is interrupted one night by a distress call from her sister, Ayoola, she knows what's expected of her: bleach, rubber gloves, nerves of steel and a strong stomach. This'll be the third boyfriend Ayoola's dispatched in, quote, self-defence and the third mess that her lethal little sibling has left Korede to clear away. She should probably go to the police for the good of the menfolk of Nigeria, but she loves her sister and, as they say, family always comes first. Until, that is, Ayoola starts dating the doctor where Korede works as a nurse. Korede's long been in love with him, and isn't prepared to see him wind up with a knife in his back: but to save one would mean sacrificing the other...
7) Outlawed - Anna North -
The day of her wedding, 17 year old Ada's life looks good; she loves her husband, and she loves working as an apprentice to her mother, a respected midwife. But after a year of marriage and no pregnancy, in a town where barren women are routinely hanged as witches, her survival depends on leaving behind everything she knows. She joins up with the notorious Hole in the Wall Gang, a band of outlaws led by a preacher-turned-robber known to all as the Kid. Charismatic, grandiose, and mercurial, the Kid is determined to create a safe haven for outcast women. But to make this dream a reality, the Gang hatches a treacherous plan that may get them all killed. And Ada must decide whether she's willing to risk her life for the possibility of a new kind of future for them all.
8) Madhouse At The End Of The Earth - Julian Sancton -
The harrowing true survival story of an early polar expedition that went terribly awry--with the ship frozen in ice and the crew trapped inside for the entire sunless, Antarctic winter. Drawing on firsthand accounts of the Belgica's voyage and exclusive access to the ship's logbook, Sancton tells the tale of its long, isolated imprisonment on the ice--a story that NASA studies today in its research on isolation for missions to Mars. In vivid, hair-raising prose, Sancton recounts the myriad forces that drove these men right up to and over the brink of madness.
9) Morbidly Yours - Ivy Fairbanks -
Callum Flannelly would rather dive into an open grave than take a stranger to dinner and a movie. But he can only inherit the family undertaking business and carry on their legacy under one condition: He must marry before his 35th birthday. So it’s out of the mortuary and into the dating scene. Lark Thompson would rather get crushed by a falling anvil than stay next to a funeral home during her stay in Galway, Ireland. The vivacious American cartoon creator and animator came here to embrace life, not be reminded of losing her husband. When Lark learns of Callum’s dilemma and aversion to marrying out of necessity rather than love, she agrees to help the introverted mortician. Although sworn off love herself, she is optimistic that Callum can find The One and secure his inheritance. But as the dating project progresses and their friendship grows, so does a mutual attraction. The more time she spends with serious, sarcastic Callum, the more she dreads finding him a match. And the more disastrous dates he endures, the more he dreads Lark’s imminent return to the states. If they think it’s possible to ignore their connection, they’re dead wrong.
10) Bunny - Mona Awad -
Samantha Heather Mackey couldn't be more of an outsider in her small, highly selective MFA program at New England's Warren University. A scholarship student who prefers the company of her dark imagination to that of most people, she is utterly repelled by the rest of her fiction writing cohort--a clique of unbearably twee rich girls who call each other Bunny, and seem to move and speak as one. But everything changes when Samantha receives an invitation to the Bunnies' fabled Smut Salon, and finds herself inexplicably drawn to their front door--ditching her only friend, Ava, in the process. As Samantha plunges deeper and deeper into the Bunnies' sinister yet saccharine world, beginning to take part in the ritualistic off-campus Workshop where they conjure their monstrous creations, the edges of reality begin to blur. Soon, her friendships with Ava and the Bunnies will be brought into deadly collision.

You want Carol and Monica? Ask and ye shall receive 💖
“Come here, *insert affectionate pet name* or in this case ‘lieutenant trouble’” 🥰
Have at it, bestie 😬💕
A/N: Thank you so, so much for the request!!! I've been dying to write some stuff for Monica and Carol 😂 You know how much they mean to me lol 💗
I hope you enjoy, girl! 🥰🥰🥰
Word Count: 2k+
Monica stomped through her front door, shutting it behind her resolutely before locking it back behind her once more. She growled under her breath as she placed her purse on the hat rack near her door, and she wiped at her face in frustration.
“That good of a day, huh?” a voice suddenly spoke up, and Monica slightly flinched as she took in the sight of her aunt reclined there on her couch.
She had completely forgotten that she had invited her over. The whole mess at work had kept Monica there and she was going to be late for their dinner and movie night. Carol had assured her that she would just order pizza, and sure enough, the pizza was lying there on the coffee table in front of the television just as promised.
Monica groaned as she shook her head, taking her jacket off.
“Yeah, just… It’s just something at work,” Monica decided that she would leave it at that, and Carol raised an eyebrow as she watched her carefully.
“Wanna talk about it?” Carol offered, and Monica sighed, shaking her head.
“Well, there’s nothing to say outside of the fact that for some reason people still want to undermine and question my authority despite the fact that it was my mother’s organization,” Monica complained, irritation deep within her. Carol remained quiet as she nodded softly, taking it in.
“It’s just irritating. Just because Hayward led it in mine and my mother’s absence makes people think that his selected assistant director has a right to it now that he’s arrested,” Monica explained a little further, feeling herself getting angrier and angrier as she placed her hands on her hips.
“Honestly, Hayward himself didn’t even have a right to it when I came back. He was acting director, and if Mama knew what vile, nasty things he did with her organization and her brainchild, she’d…”
Monica stopped her rant with a deep sigh, closing her eyes as she tightened her fingers’ grip around her hips as she dropped her chin to her chest. There were a few moments of silence as she worked to collect herself once more.
She opened her eyes and lifted her head finally. However, to her surprise, she saw her aunt with her arms now wide open.
“Come here, Lieutenant Trouble,” Carol beckoned softly, and Monica raised an eyebrow at her.
However, despite the fact that she was not in an overly good mood from what had happened at work, she could not entirely deny the appeal of being held by her aunt and cuddled on the couch. It had been years since she last had done it, and since she had reunited with Carol, she had not allowed herself to be this tenderly close with her.
But ultimately, her desire to feel that sort of comfort again won out, and she hesitantly stepped over to the couch, looking down at Carol.
“There’s not enough room with you spread out like that,” Monica weakly protested despite knowing what Carol intended.
Carol looked down at herself, her arms still spread as she looked back up at her niece.
“Don’t you remember how we used to do it?” Carol questioned, and Monica paused, huffing slightly as she looked at Carol somewhat shyly.
   “Well, yeah, but… I mean…”
“You’re a big girl now?” Carol suggested, reading Monica’s mind. Monica swallowed, nodding just barely.
   “Yeah.”
“You’re not too big of a girl to get some love when you need it,” Carol astutely pointed out, not giving up on this entire idea. She wiggled her fingers, encouraging Monica to come into her arms.
On one hand, Monica was thankful for her persistence because she really did want to curl herself in Carol’s arms again, but on the other hand, she was really nervous because she had not done this in forever and was a little worried about it being awkward.
Monica looked down at Carol, trying to figure out the least embarrassing and uncomfortable way to do this as Carol waited patiently for her. There was a glimmer of gentleness in Carol’s eyes and Monica knew that she understood her trepidation, but there was also an invitation as she remained steadfast in her request.
Monica placed her leg on the edge of the couch where Carol’s body was not currently at, and she hesitantly started to lower herself to sit down somewhere around Carol’s lap. However, she paused, and she looked at Carol with a sigh.
   “I don’t know—”
“It’s okay. Trust me,” Carol assured.
Monica looked at her for a moment before finally sitting down on Carol’s legs and moving herself to tentatively lay down on her body. She hesitated for just a moment more before letting her head rest on Carol’s chest where Carol’s back was propped up against the arm of the couch.
Carol hummed in gentle approval, one hand moving to rest on Monica’s back and the other smoothing over her hair softly.
“There… Nobody’s going to know that big and tough Captain Rambeau wants a little cuddling from her aunt,” Carol assured her, a grin in her voice as she spoke to her.
Monica furrowed her brow and groaned as she buried her face further in Carol’s chest just below her collarbone, not replying to her as she closed her eyes and took in Carol’s comforting scent.
Somehow, Carol still smelled the same as she always had. A hint of cigarette smoke and something that was uniquely Carol. Monica was not sure how she still smelled like she did when Monica was a kid, but she was not going to question it. It brought her so much comfort and it reminded her of home. And of her mother.
Carol’s hand was softly rubbing Monica’s back in reassuring strokes, and Monica turned her head to the side so that she was facing the television, slight awkwardness swelling within her once again as she was reminded of the strangeness of the situation.
Carol’s touch never wavered, and one hand came to rest on the back of Monica’s head as the other just steadily stroked her back.
Monica was instantly taken back to when she was a child. She and Carol would watch television together on the couch with Monica curled on top of her while Maria made dinner in the other room.
“It’s alright. Your mama was so proud of you and if you wouldn’t have been one of the people blipped, she would’ve had you take over instead of Hayward in the end,” Carol assured her softly.
Monica nodded just a little, but she instantly focused on the fact that Carol was speaking with such certainty about Maria’s wants. It was strange, and she could not help but speak up and question it.
“You talk like you spoke to her after the blip before she died,” Monica pointed out somewhat curiously, her cheek pressed against Carol still as she somewhat uncomfortably laid there and fought her urge to sink down into her.
   “I did.”
Monica froze as she took in Carol’s words. She raised up, moving off of Carol as she sat more where Carol’s legs were. Carol moved her legs apart to allow her a place to sit on the couch, but other than that, she simply remained propped on the armrest as she watched her niece.
She was somewhat impassive at this point, and Monica knew that this was likely a hard conversation for her aunt to have. However, as a grieving daughter, Monica needed to know all she could about her mother’s passing and how she was in the time Monica was not there for her.
“You saw her again before she died?” Monica questioned, and Carol nodded with a swallow.
“Yeah… I was with her a lot in those last few months,” Carol confessed, and Monica remained dead quiet, listening intently to every inflection and syllable of Carol’s words. She did not want to miss a single thing when it came to her mother and how she was right before she had passed.
“The first time I saw her was right after the blip after we took care of Thanos. When we realized that he didn’t have the stones anymore and that what he did was, at least for the near future, permanent,” Carol explained nonchalantly, and there was such an ease in her tone that it made Monica think that she was precisely the opposite of what she was attempting so desperately to portray.
“She told me about you, and that was when I found out that you were one of the ones lost,” Carol expressed, her voice somewhat small at the end of the statement. She refused to meet Monica’s eyes, and Monica was somewhere between hurting for her and strangely enjoying the fact that Carol actually did care that much.
While Monica was beginning to truly understand the magnitude of Carol’s love for her and how it had never changed, it still helped the hurting little girl inside to hear evidence of that love.
“But, um… Shortly after that visit, I ended up shaving my head in solidarity with what she was going through. You should’ve seen the way she looked at me when she first saw it. After the shock wore off and she managed to get out one ‘thank you, I appreciate it’ to me, she laughed and laughed. We both did at that point,” Carol chuckled fondly, remembering the moment.
Monica smiled just barely, picturing the sight of her mother talking to a bald version of her aunt. Monica could honestly see the humor in the entire thing on her mother’s part, but more than that, she found herself deeply touched at Carol’s attempt to be there for the woman.
“She told me so much about you and everything that you’ve accomplished, and she caught me up on everything,” Carol remembered.
Monica remained silent, not sure what to say as a reply. Carol did not say anything either, and there were a few moments that passed before Carol spoke up again.
“I’m just sorry I wasn’t there to see it all,” Carol confessed.
Monica nodded, not saying anything as she wordlessly accepted the apology.
The quiet between them dragged on for just a little too long, and Monica suddenly felt an obligation to reply.
However, when she started to speak up, Carol let out a soft breath before moving her head toward the pizza, trying to bring things to a happier subject. Monica closed her mouth, realizing that Carol had not actually intended for her to reply to her.
“You’re probably hungry after taking on the world. Got to keep fueled up if you’re going to kick the naysayers to the curb,” Carol joked as she grinned at her.
Monica just rolled her eyes, huffing, and Carol laughed a little.
“I’m not kicking them to the curb,” Monica allowed the change of subject, and Carol moved her head in a noncommittal gesture.
“I don’t know. If a bunch of people were questioning me and I didn’t really need them, I’d just cut those suckers loose,” Carol stated, and Monica withdrew a slice of pizza, flashing Carol a side glance.
“That’s not how organizations work,” Monica informed her, taking a bite of the pizza.
“It’s how they worked back in my day. Somebody getting a little too big for their britches? Fire them,” Carol informed her, sounding quite humorously like an old codger, and Monica shook her head, chewing her pizza.
“SWORD isn’t a convenience store. You can’t just hire the next bum on the side of the road to work there,” Monica tried to inform her.
“The bum would probably do a better job than some of those ding dongs you have working with you in there that are too stupid to see you’re amazing.”
Monica could not help but laugh at the pure honesty in Carol’s voice, simultaneously amused at Carol’s silliness and deeply warmed by her compliment.
Carol moved so she was mirroring Monica’s position and sitting normally on the couch and only with some hesitation, she wrapped her arm around Monica’s neck, laughing a little at her own joke. After just a second, she leaned in, letting her head rest on Carol’s shoulder as Monica smiled and kept eating her pizza while Carol talked more crap about the people that worked in SWORD.
They might not be exactly how they used to be, but she knew one thing.
She would never get too old to get some love from her aunt.

Summary: Making my way downtown Walking fast, faces pass and I'm homebound (do doodoodoodoodoodoo) aka You go back to Westview for the showdown
“Hey, what did you mean you’ve seen me on tv?” you ask the FBI agent after he gets off the phone.
“Long story short, Wanda Maximoff was broadcasting some of what was going on in there, airing the stuff like some sitcom. She had you all playing a role. You were the best friend slash potential future love interest, at least that’s the vibe I was getting with the lingering looks and all the compliments,” Jimmy answers, the last bit rendering you a bit shocked and maybe a little embarrassed.
He continues, “Although, Darcy thinks you have something going on with one of the townspeople already. I think there is a betting pool going on.”
“You saw all that?”
“Yeah, but don’t worry. You are safe here. She can’t control you anymore,” he assures you, placing a hand on your shoulder as a comforting gesture.
“Right, yeah,” you agree unconvincingly. “Who were the guys who threw us in here? They aren’t really friendly.”
Jimmy gives you the rundown of what’s been happening on the outskirts of town. This Director Hayward sounds like trouble. With him and Agatha coming after Wanda, you need to get back into Westview fast.
“Can I borrow that phone? I need to make a call.”
Meanwhile in Westview, Wanda is lured into the basement by Agatha. Agatha has a magic hold on Wanda, revealing herself to be a witch. Wanda struggles against Agatha’s magic. Quite in the predicament, she keeps looking around for something to get her out of this. More often than not she’ll look back at the entrance, as if expecting someone to rush down and free her.
“No one is going to come running down here to help you, not even Y/N,” Agatha laughs, reading Wanda like a book.
“What did you do? Where is she?” Wanda asks, worried about what Agatha might have done to you. Wanda hasn’t seen you since last night, last night when she kissed you. She can’t say she regrets it but she knows she shouldn’t have done it. She has a husband for crying out loud. Granted her husband isn’t ever around lately, but that’s no excuse. This was supposed to be her happy ending.
It’s supposed to be simple. So how is it that she’s stuck in a witch’s basement looking for her magically conceived children and wondering what happened to her neighbor whom she may or may not have feelings for and technically cheated with on her deceased robot husband?
“Unbelievable. She’s got you too?” Agatha chuckles in disbelief.
“What are you talking about?”
“It’s alright, dear. We’ve all fallen for it,” Agatha discloses, walking around leisurely. “Easy on the eyes, always there when you need her, but not this time. Don’t worry. She’s fine, I think. I just needed her out of my way. She made things so complicated, so annoying. I’m sure you understand that better than anyone.”
Wanda tries to feign innocence, like she doesn’t know what Agatha means when she says you make things complicated. Agatha has none of this. “Oh, Wanda. Come on. It’s just us girls here. There’s no shame in admitting you’ve got the hots for Y/N. Kind, caring, endearing Y/N. I mean she plays the role really well, doesn’t she? And without having to take your directions. Amazing, truly. It must drive you insane, not knowing what she’s thinking. Or maybe it makes her all the more alluring to you?”
Wanda doesn’t like what Agn- Agatha is implying. Are you like Agatha? Are you like Monica? Have you been playing her the whole time?
“Aw, how darling. You actually thought she cared about you? That she was your friend? Maybe more than your friend?” Agatha sneers, “No, sweetie, she’s been lying the whole time. I don’t even have her whole story yet. But that’s for another time. I want to know about you.”
You hand back the phone to Agent Woo. “Thank you,” you say before starting to walk back in the direction of Westview.
“Hey, wait! Where are you going?”
“I need to see about a witch,” you reply.
Jimmy jogs up to you. He thinks he understands you are furious at Wanda for being held captive in Westview and controlled like a puppet and you are on your way to pay her a piece of your mind. “Stop,” he commands, moving in front of you and putting a hand up to halt you. “I get that you are angry with her, but you get there and then what? Wanda’s powers are beyond comprehension. It’s best to let the professionals handle this.”
“That’s not the witch I have a bone to pick with. Wanda hasn’t done anything to me. She’s not a bad person. She just needs someone to guide her, someone to help her. I need to help her,” you tell him.
“Oh, boy,” he sighs, defeatedly. Clearly this is some Stockholm Syndrome scenario. You are still trying to play the role of the helpful neighbor that is always there for Wanda. He will make sure to get you the help you need.
“Thanks for the concern, Agent Woo, but I assure you this isn’t stockholm syndrome. It’s a little more complicated than that, but I don’t have time to explain. If you’ll excuse me,” you politely make your way around him, continuing your walk.
“Wait, how did- I didn’t say that out loud. Did you read my mind?” he asks, chasing after you. This time he doesn’t bother stopping you but walks alongside you. “Can you read minds?”
“I can do a lot more than that,” you reply. Before he even asks, you answer his next question with a grumble. “No, I am not a witch.”
“But you have powers?” You nod. He continues, “What kind of powers?”
“The kind that can help Wanda and the people in that town,” you answer.
“Is one of them teleporting, because Hayward is going to be there faster than you are walking,” he states. You could teleport but that usually drains your energy and you think you might need it for when you get there. “If you just wait a few minutes, the FBI is sending someone to pick us up.”
“Well then I am glad I won’t be leaving you stranded,” you say. He frowns, trying to decipher what you mean. “You called your backup. I called mine. She should be here any second now.”
Right on cue, Makkari appears before your eyes, picking up behind her a bunch of dirt. You hear Jimmy coughing behind you and complaining, “Oh, I think some got in my eye.”
You have to spit some of it from your mouth. When the dust settles enough for Makkari to read your lips, you say, “Took you long enough.”
She doesn’t sign anything sassy back to you like the fact that you could have used your powers to teleport yourself which immediately makes you worry. “What’s wrong?”
She catches you up with some of the stuff that has been happening with the Eternals. Ajax is dead. The deviants seem to have come back. They need you to return.
“I have to finish this first. It’ll go faster if you help me,” you request her assistance. She agrees and has you hop on her back. You give Jimmy a salute in. “It was a pleasure meeting you, Agent Woo. you might want to hold your breath and close your eyes.”
He does as you say and Makkari takes off. Jimmy feels the dust kick up again and when he feels it’s safe to do so, he opens his eyes. You and your friend are nowhere to be seen. “What the hell just happened?”
Something is brewing in the center of town. As Makkari approaches, she sees Wanda yelling at - wait, is that who she thinks it is? The Salem girl from so long ago. Things just got interesting. Makkari guesses you want to be alongside Wanda, so that’s where she goes. There are two kids next to Wanda. One of them, much to Makkari’s surprise, sees her before anyone else. He’s still slower than Makkari but it’s evident he’s got some serious speed.
He stares at her in wonder as she gets closer. She smiles and throws a wink at him, finally stopping right in front of him. “Woah! You’re fast,” he marvels. His mom looks back to see what he is talking about and gasps in surprise to see you here. “Y/N.”
“Well look who’s joined the party and you brought a friend too,” Agatha quips from where she is hovering in the air. Makkari turns around to look up at Agatha when she notices everyone looking that way. Upon recognizing Makkari’s face, Agatha tilts her head and says, “Y/N never told me you were a witch too.”
Having no clue what Agatha means, Makkari turns to you for an answer but you ignore her and shout up at Agatha in irritation, “For the last time, I am not a witch!”
Agatha rolls her eyes. “Not this again.”
It’s not long before the showdown begins. Wanda begins to release the citizens, realizing that she has been hurting them unintentionally with her pain. She begins to dismantle the hex but then stops when she sees her children hurting. Not too long after, Hayward’s men show up and so does another Vision, same model, different color.
Wanda assigns everyone roles. You offer to help Wanda with Agatha but she tells you this is between her and the Salem witch, so instead you help disarm Hayward’s soldiers while Vision flies off to fight against himself. Makkari and Tommy use their speed to take away the guns and knock the soldiers down, and you and Billy use your powers to flip over the armored trucks. Billy and Tommy both look up at you, seeing that you too have powers much like Billy and his mom.
“You! You’re like me?” Billy asks, not able to believe that this whole time you had these abilities much like himself. You smile at him, happy to finally be able to show them what you can do. You turn over your hand and demonstrate the wisps of “magic” that flow from your palm. “I’d say you are more like me seeing that I’m a bit older.”
“‘A bit?’” Makkari signs, chuckling. You roll your eyes at your friend. “Shut up, Makkari.”
“Makkari? Like the Makkari? From your story?” Tommy asks. You smile and nod. You explain to Makkari that you told them about the Eternals.
“Wait! So, the Eternals are real?” Billy pipes up, excitedly, before Tommy interrupts with his own question for you. “Wait! Are you an Eternal?”
You nod again and Billy nearly screeches, “I change my mind! You’re my favorite.” He hugs you and you gladly return the sentiment. Tommy looks at Makkari, not bothering to even whisper, “You are still my favorite.” Makkari laughs and gives him a fist bump.
By the time you hear the gun, you fear you may be too late. Using your powers you put a type of protection barrier around the four of you as fast as you can but it seems you needn’t do it because there is someone in front taking on the ammunition. You worry that someone might have just died for you because you were too distracted, but the woman comes out of it without a scratch. Makkari runs and takes out the assailant.
The woman looks to be in shock like she didn’t know she had this ability which makes her all the more admirable to you, risking her life for the four of you. You nod at her in thanks and then you all look up to see how Wanda is fairing. She is not doing so well, so you move to go help her until you feel Makkari hold you back. You guess she notices something before you do, motioning around the sky, and you understand. Wanda has this.
Mere moments later, Wanda, showing another level of power in her new suit, has Agatha on the ground and punishes her by having her play her role as Agnes. Vision is here now so you assume he delt with the new Vision accordingly. The kids rush to their mom in excitement, glad that they are all okay and you notice that Wanda is also relieved to see this too.
Then her eyes land on Vision and she knows that it’s time to do the right thing. Her smile dies on her lips as they talk. It’s time to say goodbye to her family. She feels her kids stray and looks to see where they’ve gone. The small genuine smile appears on her face once more seeing Billy and Tommy talking so animatedly with you and your friend. Tommy challenges Makkari to race him while his brother scoffs, “She is so much faster than you, dude.”
It’s on. Makkari signs and you translate. Tommy jumps up in excitement and then asks you to repeat the gesture so he can say it back to Makkari. They line up and you whisper to Billy, “Watch this.”
When Billy yells “Go!” you use your powers to hold Makkari back two seconds, letting her go when she glares at you. Two seconds is enough to give Tommy the win. He cheers triumphantly, boasting to his brother. “You see! I won!”
“Only because Y/N cheated for you,” Billy replies.
“Nu-uh!”
“Yeah - huh!”
Tommy looks at you for the answer. You shake your head, assuring him it was all him and his speed. When he turns his back to you, you wink at Billy. Billy lets his brother have this one and brag about how he’s the fastest person alive. Makkari shoves you playfully in retaliation for holding her back, making you laugh.
Wanda giggles at this whole interaction. Vision looks at his wife fondly, her happiness making him happy. He notices how her eyes linger on you for a moment and she looks lost in her thoughts. Maybe he should have seen it sooner, but with all the madness of the past few days, he had other things keeping him preoccupied, but now with it all unraveled, it seems so obvious.
“She’ll be good for you,” Vision voices aloud, bringing Wanda out of her thoughts. She looks at him with a furrowed eyebrow. He clarifies, “Y/N, she’ll be good for you.”
“Vis, what-”
“Wanda, darling,” he interrupts her, “you’re going to need someone after this, someone you can trust. She’s been here for you since the day you stepped into this town.”
“She’s been lying to me from the beginning,” Wanda says seemingly irritated, but Vision can hear the hurt in her voice.
“She probably has a good reason. Find a way to forgive her. After all, despite everything that’s happened, she was still here willing to fight for you,” he reminds her. Wanda sighs. Vision is right of course. Who is she get upset about lying after all she’s done. “She has a good heart. I know it.”
Wanda doesn’t reply, just keeps watching you and the kids. Makkari signs something to you and you look at the kids with a sad smile. You tell them you have to go, that the Eternals need you. They beg to go. They want to meet the others and offer to help you with whatever it is you need to battle. You laugh, “Maybe on the next one, okay?”
They both give you disgruntled sighs at not being able to go with you but don’t complain. Instead, they make you swear on it. “Promise? You’ll come back for us for the next thing.”
“I promise. I’ll come back for you and you two can be my backup next time,” you tell them. “But that means you two have to be ready.”
“We’ll be ready!” Billy exclaims.
“We’ll be so ready!” Tommy agrees. You and Makkari smile at their enthusiasm.
“That means you have to practice and train and listen to your parents. Can you do that?” You smirk at their less enthusiastic “Yeah. I guess.”
“Good. Now go on. I think they’re waiting for you two.” You nudge them in the direction of their parents who have been watching you closely.
You and Makkari watch them go join their parents. Wanda frowns when you don’t move to join them. Billy answers her unspoken question. “They have to go help their friends.”
“Wait here,” Wanda tells her family before walking over to you. Makkari thinks it best to let you have your privacy and lets you know she’ll be waiting off to the side by the theater, where the woman who saved you is helping people. You get nervous as Wanda approaches. She’s frowning and you don’t know how to take it. Is she upset that you lied to her all this time? Is she upset that you are leaving? You could always simply read her mind but you’d rather have her tell you where you messed up.
“You lied to me.”
“I know. I’m sorry,” you sigh. “It was never my intention. The opposite, really. I actually followed you into town to tell you but by the time I managed to actually work up the nerve to approach you, it was too late.”
“You followed me?” she asks, confused.
“It’s not as creepy as it sounds,” you defend yourself. “It’s just that I’ve been watching you for a while and - okay, that does sound weird,” you laugh awkwardly, “but I mean when I first heard about you and what you could do, the similarities between us, I knew I had to meet you. I thought I could help.”
“You have magic? Are you like me?”
“Yes and no. It’s hard to explain but I will if you give me the chance.”
“You’re leaving,” she points out.
You assure her, “I’ll be back.”
“I might not be here when you get back,” she tells you, looking around the town square at all the damage she’s done to this town. There is no way she is welcome here.
“Where will you go?”
“I don’t know.” She sighs, “Somewhere I can’t hurt anybody. Somewhere no one can find me.”
I’ll find you, you promise. It startles Wanda feeling your presence in her head. You chuckle at her reaction and she smiles. “I can see why people don’t like it when I do that.”
“I’ll teach you how to block it,” you tell her. Thoughts of all the things you can teach her race through your brain and you grow excited, until Makkari interrupts and reminds you that you have somewhere to be. “That’s my queue.” You linger a second longer, not knowing how to leave. “I’ll see you soon, okay?”
She nods and gives you a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes before she turns around to head back to her family. You know what she’s thinking without having to read her mind. You call her name, “Wanda!”
She turns around to look at you once more. You’re not alone anymore. She wants nothing more than to believe you and when she looks into your eyes finding nothing but sincerity, she does. A sense of relief washes over her body and it feels so good she could almost cry. She doesn’t. She watches as Makkari touches your hand and in a flash, you’re gone.
The following week drains the life out of you. Fighting Deviants is one thing, but add fighting with your family and then basically your reason for existing is a whole other deal none of you quite frankly were prepared for. Having to choose between fighting for this world or letting it fall in order for a celestial to rise is not a hard decision. All it takes is the smiles of two young twin boys to pop into your mind and you know where you stand. This world is worth fighting for.
In the end, you get through it and this world is safe. All you want to do is take a long, much needed nap after all this madness, but you have somewhere to be and you know you wouldn’t be able to rest anyway without knowing where she is or how she is doing.
So after saying your goodbyes to your family and promising to catch up for real at a later time, you go look for Wanda. The chance that she’s somehow still in Westview is highly unlikely but you go there first, hitching one more ride from Makkari. Fortunately for you, there are tents placed near town. Turns out the FBI is not done investigating and sorting everything out. You make it to Wanda’s and you guess your street. Wanda’s house isn’t there, an empty lot in its place once more. The street is closed off, of course it would be. It’s where it all started. You can see your car though, giving you an excuse to get past the tape. You could always use your powers but there are too many witnesses.
“Agent Woo, this lady says that’s her car on the street,” the officer you followed informs the man you met not long ago. Jimmy turns around and is shocked to see the superpowered person from a week ago again. “Y/N!” He tells the officer, “I’ll handle this. Thank you.” The officer nods before returning to his post.
“Agent Woo, FBI,” you acknowledge him. He chuckles and says, “You can call me Jimmy. Wow! I didn’t think I’d see you so soon.”
“I’m actually here because I am looking for Wanda Maximoff,” you admit.
“You and everyone else,” he tells you. This doesn’t inspire much confidence but you ask anyway. “So you don’t happen to know where she went?”
He looks around, making sure no one is overhearing, before leaning in close and speaking under his breath, “I can’t say I know anything officially but I can tell you there may or may not be someone who could help you narrow down her location. Her name is Darcy Lewis.” He hands you a card with her information on it. “I hope this helps.”
“Thank you.” You look at him expectantly, waiting awkwardly until he asks, “Was there something else?”
“Yeah, that’s actually my car. I kind of need the keys,” you reply.
“Oh, that’s really your car? Yeah, yeah. Let me get those for you,” he says and asks you to wait while he goes fetch the keys. You wait in the tent, looking around the tent as people work overtime to get everything back to normal in this town. Several people give you odd looks and can’t help stare at you, obviously recognizing you as one of the main people in Wanda’s circle from whatever she was broadcasting. You get a few pitiful looks, like they feel awful that you were subjected to such a thing. You smile awkwardly at them. If only these people knew the truth, they would probably treat you much differently.
Jimmy returns with your keys. You thank him one last time, wishing him luck with everything, and then head over to your car. You unlock it and then once inside, you switch it on and drive off, this time in search for Darcy Lewis. You call her and with as little information over the phone as possible, ask to meet. Basically, all it takes is you telling her your name and she put things together, agreeing to meet.
“Y/N! Wow. I never thought I’d get to meet you. This is crazy!” She stands and shakes your hand before sitting back down in the booth of the diner you agreed to meet in.
“I was told you could help me find Wanda or at least narrow down where she went,” you get straight to the point in lieu of a hello. You could use your abilities to find her yourself but that could take weeks whereas getting a little help could speed up the process. Darcy nods, “Down to business. Understood. I can’t tell you the pinpoint location of where she is but give me a day or two and I could get the general vicinity depending how often she’s been using her powers. I’ve gotten enough samples from the hex to be able to do this. Luckily for your girlfriend the government hasn’t caught up on how to do this, otherwise she would be in trouble.”
It’s the first time someone aside from Makkari refers to Wanda as your girlfriend, but Makkari always did it in a teasing way. Darcy seems to mean it, so it’s not your fault if it makes you blush a teensy bit while you correct her. She apologizes, “I’m sorry. I thought because of everything. I mean at first I didn’t because I thought you and Agnes or whatever that lady’s real name is had something going on but then Jimmy pointed stuff out and slowly convinced me.”
“You are quite perceptive, Miss Lewis. Her name is Agatha,” you reveal to Darcy, who has a growing grin on her face, understanding she was right. “So you and her did have something?”
“It was a long time ago. I can assure you that’s definitely over with,” you nod. “But it was something alright.”
“I might need that in recording later, if it’s cool with you.” Darcy adds, “For science purposes.”
You chuckle, “I know about your little betting pool.” You laugh when her eyes go wide and she looks like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar. “It’s okay. At least you were finding a way to make light of the situation.”
“Hello, dears. Are you ready to order or can I get you started on drinks?” a waitress of the diner comes to take your order. Darcy looks at you, unsure if you are actually going to sit and eat. You smile kindly to the waitress and ask her what she recommends from the menu. Darcy guesses you are staying to eat and goes with the flow, looking over the menu herself.
You pay for your and Darcy’s meals. How you have money without an actual job, one may ask, you would reply that you invested your money a very long time ago. You tell Darcy to let you know as soon as she has the information and you split ways. You get a hotel room for the two days wait finding it near impossible to distract yourself. The only time you find some semblance of peace is when they do a late night rerun of one of the shows Wanda likes and you sit for a few hours just enjoying it. Finally Darcy calls you and you meet again at the same diner.
You enjoy some food while preparing yourself mentally for your journey to Wanda. Darcy narrowed it down to a specific area of a state. It seems Wanda is in a secluded wooded area, not at all the type of place you could picture Wanda in. You guess that makes sense though if she is in hiding. Darcy pays this time and wishes you luck.
“Can I see your phone?” you ask her. She unlocks it for you and hands it over, wondering what you are up to. She watches as you record a video of yourself saying, “Darcy was right. Pay up.”
You hand her back the phone with a smile. She stares at you like she couldn’t believe you did that. “You’re cool and I mean it unironically. Like, if you ever need me to hype you up to Wanda even if she has no idea who I am, I will do it.”
You laugh, “I will keep that in mind. Goodbye, Darcy. Thank you again for the help.”
Having narrowed it down to the general area, you fill up the gas tank on your car and set off in  Wanda’s direction. Numerous playlists and podcast episodes later, you reach the point where you have to use your powers to zero in on Wanda. It’s not long, maybe two minutes, to feel her mind. You could’ve done it in one but you’re tired and sleep deprived.
“Gotcha.”
It takes you longer than you wish to get to her. It’s not your fault the car is not built for paths like the ones you take. Ultimately, you abandon the car when you get a flat tire. You can come back for it later. What matters is getting to Wanda. You walk for approximately ten minutes until you see a lonely cabin. She’s in there, you feel it. She must sense someone outside too, because it’s not long that you are standing there looking up at the cabin that the door swings open and the redhead steps outside cautiously.
“You’re trespassing!” she shouts from the porch. You are pretty far away that you think she can’t recognize you but you can see the red around her hands from where you stand. “I think it’s best you go back where you came from!”
“See I would, but I kind of got a flat tire!” you yell back, moving closer so that maybe she could make out your face and choose not to rearrange it with her magic. Wanda’s body tenses upon hearing your voice. She squints her eyes as if it will help her vision. You continue, “And I’ve made it all this way. I would be much obliged if you could spare a glass of water at the very least if you are going to send me away.” The moment she realizes it really is you, she shouts “Y/N!” joyfully before practically running to you.
You smile, releasing a breath of relief at her reaction to you being here. It would be downright awful had she actually not taken your presence well, but she welcomes you with open arms, quite literally, hugging you tight when she makes it to you. “You found me.”
“I said I would.” You pull away just enough to look at her face. “I’m sorry I came empty handed, but I came as soon as I could and there aren’t many bushes I could pick a flower from in those woods.”
“That’s all right. You’re here,” she says, shaking her head, telling you not to worry about it. You nod and then step out of her hold to walk around. “You’ve got quite the set up here.” You walk up to a tree, touching the trunk. She follows you, lingering behind. “You like trees?” she asks. You shrug. “It’s a nice tree. Unfortunate to know it’s rotting, but you’ve done a decent job hiding it.”
You hear her breath hitch. She’s surprised you caught on. You don’t fault her thinking she could trick you with a simple glamour spell. She doesn’t know your whole story yet. She doesn’t know you were the one who first taught sorcerers that spell. You turn around to take a good look at her. Even though you were the one to have recently gone on a tiresome mission to save the world, Wanda looks like she has been on her own sleepless mission. You gently take her hand and using your powers, reveal the true state of her hands. Black fingertips show she’s been messing with something dark.
“You’ve been busy, haven’t you?”
She snatches her hands away. “Let’s go inside. You must be tired.” She heads inside without another word, knowing you are following close behind. Once inside, she seats you on a chair at the kitchen table while she prepares some tea. You watch quietly. Uncomfortable at the sight of her fingertips, she uses her magic to hide the black. You speak up, “Glamour it all you want, the only real way to fix that is to stop using dark magic.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she denies. You scoff. She can’t even look you in the eyes when she says this.
“You’re a terrible liar,” you inform her. Again she refuses to let up. “I’m not lying,” she huffs, then stares at you confused when you raise your hand and point it towards a closed door. Too fast to stop it, Wanda watches you invoke the Darkhold with your magic. It lands perfectly in your grasp. “What’s this, then?”
Her face immediately contorts to one of anger. “Give it back.”
You shake your head. “I can’t do that, Wanda.”
“Y/N, I’m only going to ask you once more. Give it back,” she warns you, but you don’t let up. Knowing you aren’t going to let the book go, Wanda resorts to using her own magic to try pulling the book from you but it’s of no use. Your magic is too strong. “Y/N! I need that book!”
She does all she can, including throwing offensive spurts of energy at you but you easily block them. “I’m sorry, Wanda. It’s too dangerous. Look what it’s doing to you!” you point out the fact that she is desperately fighting you over the book. “This is safer with the Sorcerer Supreme.” Wanda watches in agony as you open a portal and send the book through it.
“No! You don’t understand! It’s the only way to get Billy and Tommy back.” She stops fighting and falls to her knees before you. Fighting you is useless and you’ve tired her out more than she has been already. Watching Wanda sob helplessly almost has you falling to your knees as well. “I can hear them, Y/N. They’re calling me. I have to find them. I need them- I need them with me. Please, Y/N. I need that book.”
You speak calmly, but sternly, “I get it, Wanda. I do. There is nothing I want more than for you to have your boys back, but this isn’t the way. Nothing good will come from that book.”
“You said you would help me, that I wasn’t alone anymore,” she whimpers, head fallen pointedly towards the ground. It breaks your heart the way she wipes a tear from her face. You sink down to your knees to Wanda’s level and reach out to take her face in the palm of your hands. You lift her head up to look at you.
“You aren’t alone, Wanda. I am here for you and I promise we are going to get them back. All I am saying is there are other ways to do it where you don’t need the book, where no one has to get hurt, not even you,” you assure her, taking one of her hands in your own so she knows what you mean by that.
“How?” she asks, weakly.
“Do you trust me?” you ask. It takes a moment but she finally nods.
“Yes,” she says firmly.
“Good,” you smile. You kiss her forehead gently and sit with her in the kitchen for a minute, just holding her hand and waiting until she is relatively calm. Then you stand up and offer her your hand to pull her up off of the floor. “Come on. I’ve got a lot to teach you.”

Thank you for waiting patiently. I appreciate it. I hope this was to your satisfaction. I don’t mean to undo all that MoM did with this kind of ending but I think it’s more sweet this way. Again, big thanks to @padmeswife for the idea for this story

As Zanuck Sr. repeatedly told his son, had Valley of the Dolls been a product of the Hollywood studio system at its apex, in less than a week he would have assigned it to a contract director, one or more of the studio’s stable of thirty-plus top screenwriters, an available cameraman, production and costume designer, a composer, and a cast selected from 20th’s contract talent roster. It isn’t hard to imagine a forties-era Valley of the Dolls. On tap at the studio were any number of great beauties and “types,” some of them quite talented. And if those weren’t quite right, Zanuck might have arranged to borrow talent from other studios. There was Gene Tierney, Linda Darnell, or Jeanne Crain to play the reserved New Englander Anne Welles. Betty Grable, Rita Hayworth, or Lana Turner might have played the luckless showgirl Jennifer North. The young Bette Davis, Susan Hayward, or Ida Lupino would have fit as brilliantly talented, tormented Neely O’Hara. Tyrone Power/Gregory Peck/Cornel Wilde could have slipped easily into the role of suave, slippery Lyon Burke, alongside Dana Andrews as press agent Mel, Vincent Price as Charles Revson–inspired cosmetics empire maven Kevin Gillmore, and Clifton Webb as fashion designer Ted Casablanca. For good measure, Zanuck could have thrown in Gertrude Lawrence as fading Broadway virago Helen Lawson, Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin/Vic Damone as Tony Polar, and Geraldine Fitzgerald as Miriam, sister of the sexy, childlike crooner. Or had Zanuck made the movie later in his career, he could have helped himself to the talents of, respectively, Hope Lange, Diane Varsi, or Shirley Jones as Anne, Marilyn Monroe, Joan Collins, or Debra Paget as Jennifer, Joanne Woodward as Neely, Richard Burton or Stephen Boyd as Lyon, Roddy McDowall as Ted Casablanca, Claudette Colbert or Mary Martin as Helen, Elvis Presley as Tony with Angela Lansbury as Miriam. But in 1966, the days of the studio system and exclusive contracts were on life support. With the long shadow of Darryl F. Zanuck looming over Valley of the Dolls, it would take Richard D. Zanuck, producer David Weisbart, and director Mark Robson long, torturous months and many reversals before the casting—let alone the entire production—finally pulled together. And, from his Paris headquarters, Zanuck Sr. thought that was laughable—when he didn’t find it infuriating.

Secrets revealed
Tumblr media
Summary: In which a really important secret is revelead.
Word count: 2500ish
Warnings: Smut(no gendered terms for readers genitalia),fluff, talks about murder, dark themes | Minors DNI
Masterlist
This is a second part of this work. (you can read this without reading the first part tho)
"I'm sorry for the loss that S.W.O.R.D. suffered, Monica. Hayward was an important figure in the organization," you said, offering Monica a cup of hot coffee. "The department will do everything possible to find the culprits."
"Thank you, Y/N. Hayward was not a great person, but it is our duty to find out why he died," she replied, drinking the coffee and throwing the cardboard cup in the trash.
"Who's going to be the director now?"
"They have chosen me." Monica smiled proudly.
"I'm happy for you, Rambeau," you said, hugging her. "You deserve it; let's hope that S.W.O.R.D. will do better under your command" You smiled "I'll let you know if we have any news; take care, Monica".
"Thank you, Y/N," replied the now-S.W.O.R.D. director.
You nodded and said goodbye to Monica, going to your office with your thermos in your hand while greeting the colleagues you saw.
Once in your office, you sat down in a comfortable chair and turned on your cell phone to check if you had any notifications.
After reviewing some reports and ordering some documents to send them to the rest of the department, you went to the autopsy room to check Hayward's corpse and offer your "help" to the coroner.
"Hey Darcy, how are you?"
"Surrounded by death."
You snorted
"That was a good one."
Thanks, Y/N. Coroner jokes never die."
"Well, what have you discovered in Hayward's corpse?"
"He was heavily attacked. Multiple cuts and puncture wounds," she said, showing you the wounds with her finger and carefully turning it so you could see his back.
"And that one there?" you asked, showing the stabbing you had done to him yourself. "It looks pretty deep," you added, feigning ignorance.
"That's right. Knife wound,as you can see. It was probably a kitchen knife. They embedded it almost all the way in and then twisted it,causing splintering of the vertebrae. Whoever did it knew what they were doing."
"And the cause of death? Exsanguination from all the wounds inflicted, I'm assuming."
"You're wrong, Y/N," she replied, turning Hayward so that he was resting on his back. "Gunshot wound, right in the middle of the head. Entrance wound," she pointed to the hole in the middle of his head, "and exit wound," she said, showing the back of his head.
"So,we have no chance of knowing what kind of weapon caused the wound until we do more tests, right?"
"Right. From the size, we can rule out shotguns, but the ballistic tests will give us more information."
"Perfect. Thanks, Darcy; call me if anything new comes up."
"Sure Y/N."
You were about to open the door to the forensic room to go to your office, but Darcy's voice stopped you.
"Y/N,hold on"
You turned around and looked at her questioningly.
"What's wrong, Darcy?"
"At the moment, it doesn't look like it's the "Scarlet Killer". It's not their MO,since despite the overkill, which the killer had in some murders, there are no signs of mystical powers, and the cause of death is a bullet, but you better not tell anyone. We can't worry the population any more and have them think we have two killers on the loose."
"Darcy,you know that's not right."
"I know, but it's orders from superiors. There's nothing we can do."
"I understand Darcy. Take care of yourself," you said, leaving the autopsy room.
After the conversation, you returned to your office and began working on the report on Hayward's death with the information Darcy had given you, highlighting details such as overkill or cause of death but leaving open the possibility that it was "The Scarlet Killer".
Hours later, you ate some food you had made, and one hour later, you received a call from one of the cadets working at the front desk, assisting people and registering complaints.
"Y/N,there's someone down here who wants to talk to you."
"Who is it?"
"She says her name is Wanda. Can she go up?"
"Yes, send her up. Thank you, West."
"No problem."
After a few minutes, you heard a knock on your door.
"Come in; the door is unlocked."
Wanda peeked through the door with a smile.
"Hello detective, you look good in your uniform," she said teasingly.
"Thank you, Wanda. What's the occasion for this visit?"
Wanda smiled and walked over to you, sitting on your lap and grabbing your face with her hands.
"I missed you. You left too soon," she said, pouting.
"Call of duty, sweetheart. You know I love spending mornings with you," you replied, caressing her hips gently. "I'll try to leave early this afternoon so we can be together."
Wanda hummed in appreciation and leaned back against your chest as your hands stroked her hair gently.
"What did you do this morning, honey? Even if I wasn't there because of work stuff,I'd like to know. You know I love it when you tell me how your day went."
"Since you weren't there, I had to kill time. Never better said," giggled Wanda.
"Wanda, I told you it wasn't safe for you to indulge in your "hobby" these days."
"Oh, don't be boring, honey."
"You know what they call you, Wands?"
"Oh,the department and S.W.O.R.D. have given me a nickname. I'm flattered." Wanda smiled darkly.
"They call you the "Scarlet Killer" ,Wanda. And soon,if you keep this up, you'll just be a number, and I'll lose you,and I don't want that to happen."
"Don't worry, Y/N,I promise nothing will happen to me. After all,I have certain skills," she said, wiggling her fingers in the air, which emanated the red aura of her powers.
"I know,I know,but be careful anyway."
"How protective, detka. Quite the big, strong detective who doesn't hesitate to protect me,", she said, grabbing your face and kissing you deeply.
Quickly, the kiss became wild, with your tongues battling for dominance and your hands grabbing Wanda's ass to pull her closer to you, while she grabbed the back of your neck to pull you even closer to her.
Wanda moaned into your mouth and began to grind against your thigh.
"You're quite an eager girl, aren't you, Wanda?" You grabbed her hips to help her grind against your thigh faster.
Wanda whimpered as her clit bumped against your knee, causing a high-pitched whine to come from her mouth.
"Go faster,Y/N,please," she said, grabbing your shoulders for balance.
"Really eager, huh, Wanda? Rubbing yourself against my thigh in my office The door is unlocked; anyone could walk in and see you in this state," you said, caressing the skin of her hips and nipping at her neck.
You pulled down Wanda's pants, revealing lace panties.
"You came prepared, huh, Wanda?" you grinned
Wanda whimpered and went faster, until she climaxed and slumped against your chest.
You moved the hair from her now-sweaty face and caressed the skin of her shoulders lovingly, trying to calm her accelerated breathing.
"I love you, Wanda."
"I love you too," said Wanda, relaxing against your chest as your arms embraced her. "I promise I'll be more careful from now on."
"Thank you," you said, kissing her head and stroking her hair, making her blush and making you giggle.
"What's so funny,detka?"
"We just had sex in my office, and now you're blushing because I'm giving you affection."
"Stop it," grumbled Wanda, blushing even more and gently smacking your chest.
Suddenly, you heard someone knocking on your door.
"Y/L/N? It's West; I need to talk to you about the case."
"Give me a moment, West," you said as you gestured for Wanda to hide.
She quickly looked around for a place to hide, while you gestured to the cabinet in the corner of your office for her to hide.
She ignored your direction and, smirking, hid under your desk.
"West, you can come in now."
The door opened, and the young cadet appeared, a report in his hand.
"Dr.Lewis finished the autopsy report on Hayward. She told me to give it to you to add to your investigation."
"Thank you, West," you replied,as you felt Wanda's hands move up your pants until they reached your belt, which she quickly unbuckled, causing you to lightly tap Wanda with your foot.
"Do you have any new developments in the investigation?" asked West interested
"I can't tell you, West. I can't share the details with a newcomer," you replied, as you felt the fabric of your pants slide down your legs and Wanda's delicate hands pull your underwear down to your ankles.
"Oh,come on, Detective Y/L/N,just a little something," begged West. "It's a really important case for the department, and I'll really want to know something."
"West, you are just a rookie," you said, your breath hitching slightly when you felt Wanda's hands touch teasingly your crotch. "I don't know how things were done in your department, but here it's different."
"Come on, just telling me something won't do any harm."
Just as you were about to answer her, Wanda plunged her face into your crotch and began to lick, causing you to stifle a moan and clear your throat.
"I said no, and it's final. You can't expect things to be that easy, West."
Please, detective, the case is important. I was an important piece in my former department!"
"You said it yourself," you replied,as Wanda was busy making you come as fast as possible. "Things are different now. I don't want you to see me as an enemy or anything like that, but you must respect my decision." You finished speaking as Wanda added her fingers to the movements she was making with her tongue.
"Give me a chance, boss," he repeated, sounding sarcastic in her use of that term. "Or are you afraid I'll take your job?"
Enough," you said as Wanda increased the speed of her movements, causing you to have to disguise another moan as a mumbled curse. "Get out of my office," you added, your tone now angrier.
West complied and left, slamming the door.
Once he left, you looked down and grabbed Wanda's jaw.
"Get this job done; we'll talk at home about what's going to happen about this stunt you pulled."
Wanda obeyed, and after a few minutes, you came, and she quickly cleaned up the remains, pulling up your underwear and pants once she was done.
"You went by car, didn't you, Wanda?"
"Yes."
"Well, go home and wait until I get there; you know what position I want you to be in."
Wanda nodded and quickly left, not before kissing you deeply.
You worked for a while longer, finalizing some reports, and went on a quick patrol through some neighborhoods. After several hours, you returned home.
Wanda was waiting for you in your room, but not as you had told her.
She was half asleep, her hair scattered across the pillow as she snored softly.
You smiled to see her like that. Rarely did Wanda show herself in such a vulnerable position, even when she was with you.
You quickly showered and ate something, and after that, you laid down next to her, hugging her and resting your chin on her shoulder.
"Hey, pretty girl."
"Hi detka," came Wanda's sleepy reply. "You're early."
"I missed you. The little trick you did doesn't seem like the best thing you could do,but you're tired,so we'll talk about it tomorrow."
"You're such a softie."
"I don't think you'll say the same thing tomorrow when you're under me, whimpering."
"Sleep well, detka" replied Wanda,a small grin on her face.
"You too, Wanda."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It's too much," whined Wanda desperately.
"One more; you can take one more for me, right?" You said your fingers moving faster.
Wanda moaned and tried to move her hips against your fingers for more friction, but you stopped her.
"Tsk, tsk, Wanda, maybe I should stop."
N-No, please," she replied, her face contorting with pleasure.
Great!" you replied, smiling. "You can have one more."
Your fingers started to move faster, and you curved them, hitting her sweet spot, until she came on your fingers again.
"Clean them," you said, bringing your fingers closer to her mouth.
Wanda quickly obeyed, and once she cleaned them, you began to deposit kisses all over her body until you reached her mouth, kissing her softly.
"I love you," you said, pressing your forehead to hers.
"So do I," came Wanda's reply.
"Relax a little bit, okay? I'll run a bath to clean us up, and then I'll make some food," you said, getting out of bed and placing a kiss on her forehead.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the bath, you prepared food for Wanda and yourself while she talked about the last book she had read, a gift from you.
Then you went to work for a while while Wanda went for a walk.
You arrived at the department, and after chatting for a while with your favorite colleagues about the news of the day, you went to your office to continue your work.
After a few hours, you heard some commotion downstairs, so you quickly went downstairs to see what was going on.
"Hey, Linda, what's going on?"
"They've caught "The Scarlet Killer" detective."
Your mind went blank for a moment.
"Really?"
"Yes,it was West's doing; he said he had "a hunch" and caught her. To be honest, most of the department didn't think it was a woman."
"Thanks for filling me in, Linda," you said with a forced smile. "Can you have the suspect's report sent to me, please? I'm going to talk to her."
"Sure Y/LN."
"Thank you."
After you said goodbye, you went to the interrogation room, and thanks to your gab,you got five minutes alone with her with no cameras or microphones recording.
"Wanda, how the fuck did this happen?" You said this while looking at Wanda, who was handcuffed to a metal bar on the table.
"Y/N, the cameras."
"It's okay; we have five minutes alone. Tell me how it happened."
"I went for a walk in the park. I took a couple of pictures of a beatiful tree, and when I arrived, there were two police cars in front of our house. That cadet, West, or whatever his name is, came out of our house and arrested me,accusing me of being 'The Scarlet Killer'. He put me in a patrol car and drove me here."
"We need to work this out. I'll pull a couple of strings and get you a good lawyer to try to win the case."
"Detka, don't worry about it. I know the best lawyer possible."
"You do? And what's this lawyer's name?"
"Romanoff, Natasha Romanoff."
