recent simventures

when did we get this earring? im guessing high school years or growing together... I don't remember any of the vids I watched mentioning it. I kinda like it... it's not much my style but most accessory options in sims 4 suck so I'll take anything sparkly lol.

fun with digi!sims. I don't think there's any cure for Yamato's hot-headedness :P And let's all point and laugh at the stupid outfit Sora's fashion job makes her wear. I'm assuming it's randomized bc why else would chef hats be on trend lol

I built them a new house in Sulani, but the eco lifestyle guys kept complaining about how much water and power was being used. So since no one has any skills in that household yet, I got my Moomin sims who all have max handiness lol to swoop in and upgrade everything. While I was playing them, the digi sims were on NPC mode. I caught Taichi and Yamato flirting, then Taichi and Sora flirting, and although I didn't get a pic, at one point Yamato and Sora were flirting too.

I didn't engineer any of this. The only digi couple I've been pushing is Joumi as usual. My game just ships Taiorato this time lol.

Learned spearfishing is a thing. Sim!Snufkin's hat stays on during deep dives. To keep his head warm :P He didn't catch anything except two guppies. Moomin dove for treasure and found nothing but a rock, then immediately found rare treasure by beach combing after.

Found a secluded patch of beach to camp in. Snufkin is an idiot and left the boat far far away. So while Moomin slept in the tent I made him go get it. This guy kept showing up everywhere and eyeballing him, the creeper. Then... he turned out to be a really hot merman. *fans self* AND he's an artist with a waterproof digital tablet lmao

So I didn't mean for them to picnic. There was never any food in the picnic basket. I saw a cute set-up plantsimsgirl did and made one in my game too. Snufkin ate some fish over the fire and Moomintroll didn't eat anything. But for some reason the game counted it as a picnic. Which, I'm not complaining. That's adorable. Hilarious that Snufkin's sentiments are so much more finicky than Moomin's though hahaha

last... I mentioned a long time ago that when neighborhood stories was first introduced and was so buggy, every single sim in my game wound up engaged or with a new baby... well that included sim snufmin. I never planned for them to get engaged, they did it autonomously thanks to the zeal of neighborhood stories (which I disabled and have never bothered with since). So anyway, Moomin tries to "talk about marriage" with Snufkin... and both their platonic and romantic relationship bars instantly plummet x'D it was hilarious. Snuf was not happy.

What do they need to get married for? Look at them.

My name is Snufkin/Storm, and I am guilty of the creation of Snufkin’s Curse. God, didn’t want to say that name again.

If you have seen this fic in the past, it was an unhealthy depiction of trans youth. Snufkin was depicted as someone who wanted to be a boy so that his situation would be easier. He binded with bandages, which is a dangerous thing to do and should never be done. It causes damage to the ribcage. Snufkin before he came out was referred to in the narration by his deadname and old pronouns. The fanfic used the word “Curse” to represent the curse of him being born in a female body, but the title was most likely taken in the wrong context and could be thought of as his transgender identity being the curse. I see why people think that. And especially with how I represented Snufkin, I have began to think that was probably the intention too. I know my mind was probably not in that mindset and I was telling myself this was good representation, but it was not. I did not do enough research. And it makes it worse that in an old server I was in, I made Little My call him by his deadname “with permission”. That is an absolutely horrid thing to do, and thinking about that now still disgusts me.

I deleted the fanfic some time ago due to some amazing people on Twitter who educated me on what being transgender is like. And now I identify as trans and live with a trans man, I am trying my best to get as much education as I can. What I did was unacceptable, I can’t even accept it myself. It was wrong, I was wrong, and I’ve regretted the fanfiction since the day I deleted it.

I might possibly retell Snufkin’s story in a more representative light, but for now I have other fanfiction to attend to. And I promise that with whatever I write, I will do as much research as I can. And feedback is greatly appreciated, as it has brought me this far, and I’m happy to represent these sorts of things in a more positive light.

I am terribly sorry, I really am. I hate what I did, and I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. If something like it happens again, I will stop dead in my tracks and research my head off, I promise.

You’re all wonderful. Your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, that makes you who you are. Your body is also unique, and you should not worry about what other people say it should look like. But, like, if it’s really unhealthy make sure to look after yourself?

Also if you have any disabilities or mental illnesses, just know that we’re here for you, and those who see you as any less of a person can fuck right off.

Nobody has the right to treat you horribly because of something you cannot help. And that means being trans too. I will never treat you horribly because of your gender, I won’t even dream of it, even if I unintentionally did it in the past. I’m educating myself and doing whatever I can to make you feel accepted and wanted.
