#abby doesnt shut up #being a swiftie rn is incredibly conflicting #like I have all this love for someone who is dating someone with so much hate for ppl like me & ppl I love #and we’ve been waiting so long for this tour #and cool things are happening #and then he’s there and taylor supports him #so how do u even have fun anymore #then you feel shitty for going to tour at all even though it’s your dream #and you think about how all of her promises and morals have flown out the window #then you’re like oh great this is my only safe space and I’m mad but cannot leave #and then I love her #and then she doesn’t speak out #and then she’s pictured with that monster #then I want to protect her from the tiktokers stalking her #then I’m sad again #and I say this just being disabled. having unstable knees is so frustrating like i was put on this earth to dance around my kitchen to cruel summer using a spatula as a fake microphone but my power had to be nerfed by then falling over because i put my leg down slightly wrong and my knee cap slips. how dare there be so many bangers in this world that i cannot safely shake ass to. how dare.

Everything had felt so tense with Bea and Pip, it felt like neither of them knew how to treat you, and I could tell it was bothering you. When Pip teased you just like he would have before the accident, suddenly everything felt normal again.

There was still a long road ahead of you, ahead of all of us really, but it was the first time I thought ‘yeah, he’s going to be alright’”

hello adoring fans i am currently on the train home after my double appointment and i did this back when i had my first mri back in may and it happened again so im doing it again!

these were the songs they played during my mri today:

we started off the mri with blank space but it started in the middle of chorus ??

shake it off! they played this at my last mri and it was just as funny this time as it was last time. i actually was having really bad anxiety so i had them stop in the middle of the song so i could calm down so as soon as i put the headphones back on the first thing i heard was “MY EX MAN BROUGHT HIS NEW GIRLFRIEND SHES LIKE OH MY GOD”

bad blood! this was also REALLY funny and felt super directed at me after i had them pause the mri 😭 it was unfortunately not the remix 💔

anti-hero! it wasnt the music video this time either which honestly i was kinda sad about ngl

back to december! also the stolen version and it paused like not even halfway through for like five minutes before they turn it back on again i didnt even get to listen to the full song bc the mri was over

it's just a random night that fans post selfies, sometimes it's to celebrate something Taylor did (like the night before an album comes out) or sometimes it's for nothing, just fun. people post selfies and others reblog them, it's wholesome fun.

the song that symbolizes me scrolling through queer/disability/neurodivergent Tumblr the most (imho)

as a young person coming from a conservative upbringing, and having strong feelings about not pushing people to the sidelines because of their background, the political nature of Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince (Taylor Swift) attracts my attention when looking at other people's experiences.

the disappointment about American politics, a central topic seen in the lyrics, parallels the dismay I personally feel when I see youse make very valid points about our fundamental dignity and understanding being thrown straight into the dust. imagery picturing the very unfair high school politics. the lyric "boys will be boys then, where are the wise men" looks at some people (perhaps even the majority of society) do not even bother to include us in conversations even as full-grown adults.

however, the stereo beats in the song, and the calmer interlude around the 3rd min before the beat picks up again, imo feels like running away aimlessly from political challenges, hoping to catch a lucky break no matter how hopeless the odds seem to be. the random interjections of "hey" imitate voices that try to pull her back, or political voices from the opposition trying to rally an audience. this mirrors people's relationship with Tumblr, as reading these posts does give me a small glimmer of hope that change can be enacted if we run (or walk, or wheel, or however you get around!) fast enough and start to illustrate change.

in summary, the numerous analogies made between high school politics and American politics in the Trump era complement someone who considers themselves strong willed trying to run in hopes of a lucky break from desperation.

someone cares about you. don't let the world screw you over.

Long Live (Taylor's Version) gives me chills. It's really like... Saying goodbye to that part of my life. Of all the pain and terrible shit that happened. Taylor doesn't know I exist, she doesn't know all the shitty grueling surgeries, doctors appointments, and shitty little life moments she got me through. But God if this song doesn't FEEL like someone who sees you and is so proud of where you've gotten.

Ok I'll say it, I'm not gonna wake up at 6 am for speak now tv. As much as I adore Taylor I'm gonna have to prioritize sleep and my mental health this time around. I've been waking earlier since fearless tv and I'D LOVE to be able to do the same but my mh has never been more fragile. I'm at the point where lack of sleep can make me have a fatal episode so I'm not risking it.
