#disaster lineage more like trauma lineage

A happier galaxy where the disaster lineage is somewhat less on fire constantly and senior padawan Obi-wan has developed a fixation on Mandalorians:
Sometimes Feemor regretted just how much he had given away when he had spent 5 expensive months bribing a traumatised Obi-wan to call him brother when he was 14. His dignity, for one, his access codes and shadow cloaking techniques, another. So he had a very dignified reaction when he was awoken to the shine of his younger brother's eyes in the dark at the foot of his bed. "I wou-stop screaming it's just me-I would like a Mandalorian. How do I procure one?"
"How the fuck should I know?"
Obi-wan scowled as if Feemor was being difficult, he wasn't, he wasn't quite awake enough for that yet. "You're a shadow, you're supposed to know things."
Ah, if being a shadow granted you the secrets of the universe instead of just a great many planetary governments, Feemor wouldn't spend so much time wondering what dark rituals Dooku had committed to result in Qui-gon Jinn. (He already knew what regular rituals Qui-gon had committed to result in Obi-wan)
"I know that I'm about to punt you out of my room right now."
"...My birthday is coming up, I believe I deserve compensation for all the traumas."
Obi-wan's eyes were very big now. Feemor sighed. He flopped back down into bed. He resisted the urge to pull his blankets back up and roll over. 'Oh sure when it's time to see mind healers everything's fine but now-'
"Shouldn't you be asking Master then?"
"Master would not approve of how I plan to use the Mandalorian."
He squinted at Obi-wan for a long moment. Obi-wan stared back. He did some quick mental maths and tried not to feel old. Eh. Fine. Feemor swung his legs out of bed. "You had me at 'Master wouldn't approve'."
"Do you think I could get one by walking into little Keldabe and asking very nicely?"
As it turns out, yes he could. A few too many in fact, apparently Jedi, their ancestral enemy, in the Mando district attracted attention, who knew? Feemor knew, Feemor would have known if only he had been properly awake when this semblence of a plan was proposed. He stalked through the cantina towards Obi-wan who was leaning slightly forwards against a pillar, ah...speaking, to a Mandalorian with painted orange armour while surrounded by a larger crowd of Mandos. At least they seem mostly amused. He ignored the youngers squawk as he yanked the back of his robes so that he moved away from the Mandalorian and spun him around.
"You cannot solve centuries of animosity by batting your eyelashes."
"I'm not batting my eyelashes " Obi-wan sniffed," I'm shaking my ass, there's decidedly more effort involved."
"I miss when I was an only child." Feemor sighed deeply. He used the force to scruff the neck of Obi-wan's robes and dangle him slightly in the air. He ignored the shouting from beside him and bowed politely to the staring Mandos. "My apologies for the disturbance, this will not happ-" He considered his brother who was now yelling out his personal comm code with a wink. " Please excuse us, this very probably will happen again, we shall workshop it. May the force be with you all."
I don't have a fully planned AU but it is Codywan!!! cause I love those bitches but have some more dialogue I came up with for this AU. I'm imagining them both as like 20-23, Obi's close to knighthood. He's still a padawan for this because I think him causing Qui-gon headaches is funny. Feemor fully thinks this complicated courtship dance Obi's created is funny, he likes studying his little brother like a bug, he just wasn't prepared for him to just waltz into little kelbade and start hitting on people, though he really should have been.
Hand wavy timeline with Jaster alive but the clones are still clones, Jango was kidnapped and held in stasis or something, Jaster claimed them as Mandos. This is really just about Obi's first and biggest diplomatic achivement being friendly Jedi-Mando relations purely cause he was in his thot era. This also somehow saves the galaxy from the sith.
I like to imagine that Cody's brothers recorded that little exchange between Fee and Obi on their helmets and uploaded it online where it went viral on MandoNet before going viral galaxywide because wait holy shit is that a Jedi saying that????. Qui-gon gets called in for a very weird meeting where the council's like ok so the entire holonet has seen your padawan being horny on main but also this is like the biggest jump in our diplomatic relationship with the Mandos in centuries so like can we keep this up somehow? This results in Obi-wan being holonet famous, first through vode recordings but then he starts a space tumblr and twitter account and he's famous now. Then his friends and other jedi start accounts because wait we're allowed to do that? and those become big as well and this is literally the best PR the jedi have had in hundreds of years. the holonet loves them. the sith are fuming.
Obi-wan, scoffing: What were they gonna do? Shoot me? Feemor: Yes. Obi-wan: I don't believe in blasters. Bly: ...like as a concept...? Obi-wan: No, spiritually.
Obi-wan: I'm sure there's a nice Mandalorian we can find for you Feemor: I'm not sure those 2 words belong together Obi-wan: No of course not, we can't find a nice one, then they'd be all alone, we need to find an absolute bastard of one so that you two match :)
Obi-wan: Oh so Master gets to take in pathetic life forms but I don't? This one's already domesticated! Wolffe: Debatable. Feemor: Cody's a person! Not a stray tooka! Obi-wan: Master takes in stray people all the time! That's how he got me!
Qui-gon: How do you explain this behaviour Padawan ? Obi-wan: The force pushed me towards the Mandalorians Master, it was quite insistent on me developing better relations with them given our difficult history. Feemor: Fascinating, please do elaborate, I'd love to hear the theological implications of a force-assigned kink.

Some Thoughts
I'm rewatching Rebels yet again, and it made me remember all the talk about Anakin's "questionable" training of Ahsoka in Tales of the Jedi (couple with some comments I've seen recently about the Ahsoka show about how it's never address all the wrong things he did, and criticizing that she called him a good master).. and yet, nobody says the same about Kanan, because if you don't remember, Kanan trained Ezra in a similar manner. Just look at this example in Season 1, episode 12.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that wasn't the only time they trained that way. There was another moment in an earlier episode when they were doing something like that, standing on the Ghost while flying. A bit reckless if you ask me. In fact, Ezra fell and would've died if it wasn't for Kanan that force pulled him back into the ship.
So, it's not like Anakin was the only one to come up with such a training. Even Jaro Tapal did it with Cal Kestis (to a much, much lesser degree, of course). Was Anakin with the most intense training? Sure, absolutely!! But the circumstances required of him to be that intense. The Ghost crew could pick their battles, and usually of a small scale, going against a dozen or 2 of Stormtroopers with awful aim. Anakin and Ahsoka didn't have that luxury. He had to make sure she could handle the heat of hundreds, thousands droids shooting at her in battle (or as it turned out, dozens clones 💔😭)
And Anakin was a good master to Ahsoka. Was he perfect? Not by a long shot. But neither was Obi Wan to Anakin, nor Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi, and on and on (theirs is the disaster lineage after all). Saying that Anakin was a good master to Ahsoka doesn't mean neither that Ahsoka nor us are forgetting all the horrible things, all the atrocities he committed. It means we're seeing Anakin as a complex person, capable to do good and bad things. People in general can be more than just one thing, they can be contradictory in their actions and motivations.
And I think some people are missing the point of what happened in the World Between Worlds. That moment wasn't about Anakin and his actions, it was about AHSOKA, about what she needed to hear to let go of her fear, to work through her trauma. Sure, said trauma is related to his actions but more important was what Ahsoka was going to do, her decision, her actions, her future.
Well, that's all I wanted to say. And since it's out of my chest, I'll return to my rewatch 😆

Things I will do when I hypothetically haha you can’t arrest me now storm the studios of Lucasfilm and take creative control of Star Wars from Dave Filoni:
• Rehire Dave Filoni in his exact position just with 10% less creative freedom (I trust him with my life but I just need him to stop killing characters I like)
• Use The Bad Batch season 3 to actually acknowledge the Clones’ trauma in depth
• Resurrect Cody (I’m assuming Dave will have already gotten to him by the time I get there)
• Resurrect Fives. I know it disrupts canon. I simply don’t care. I miss him.
• No clone deaths at all actually. They’ve suffered enough.
• Give every single show, even if they’ve completely finished airing, a beach episode (No, Tatooine doesn’t count as a beach).
• Reinstate the Codywan desert husbands storyline in season 2 of Kenobi
• Actually greenlight season 2 of Kenobi
• Blyla canon
• Have Rex and Ahsoka realise that Obi Wan is alive (and vice versa). I know this probably creates problems with the narrative but I don’t care. There’s already so many so what’s one more? They deserve one tiny moment of happiness.
• Authorise the creation of a minimum of 15 seasons of a show about Leia, each season with at least 24 episodes, because she did not deserve to have her lightsaber training reduced to one flashback. Idc if she’s doing absolutely nothing in some of these episodes. She can give us nothing but filler and I will eat it up. I just miss her and she deserves better.
• No more Order 66. Say goodbye to the Empire bc we are defeating Palpatine with the power of friendship and everyone will be happy in this alternate timeline. Padme and Anakin will also receive couples counselling. Also no more character deaths except for Palps and Krell and a few other villains. Maul can live.
• Greenlighting a wholesome Parks and Rec style sitcom about the 212th, the 501st and the disaster lineage. This will be the new canon. No more sadness.
• More Yaddle.

EP. 5 RECAP
I had to rewatch this episode it was that important
spoilers under the cut that you’ve probably already seen somewhere lol
1. CHOPPER THE WORLD’S BEST BABYSITTER
Tumblr media
2. ANAKIN’s SMILE. HAYDEN’s MOVE. I STILL CAN’T FORM WORDS.
Tumblr media
3. I LOVE BABYSOKA. I think Ariana Greenblatt was the perfect choice for this role. I feel like this is actually the best anyone’s done with casting an animated role in live action, she looks like and embodies Ahsoka so well!!! THIS FUCKING SHOT (the cinematography and lighting in this episode is STUNNING, I am so so so glad they put so much work into this because this is the kind of Star Wars we deserve!! the cinematography in this matches the Eye of Aldhani episode of Andor)
Tumblr media
4. as previously mentioned on my page, Hayden in Jedi armor 🤯☠️
Tumblr media
5. Ashoka and Anakin, running through the battle:
AHSOKA: “What about my training?!”
ANAKIN: “This is your training!”
I see what you’re doing there, Filoni. I love how psychologically Filoni sees Star Wars in general, he’s always focused on trauma and healing, esp in Rebels.
6. I do kind of wish there could have been more emotional closure (within the dialogue esp) between Anakin and Ahsoka…but I’m wondering if we didn’t get closure because Hayden is going to come back in another episode (I hope so 🤭)
7. I didn’t realize Ahsoka didn’t have ears lol
8. So many purrgil!!’ they’re so beautiful!!! (why do I think the plural of purrgil is purrgil? what led me to believe this? is this canon lol)
Tumblr media
ALSO I think the purrgil serve as a really significant metaphor of environmentalism. the imperial forces want to travel to another galaxy? they steal materials to build a giant disruptive machine to get them there. the rebel forces just have to connect with their environment (the purrgil) and rely on animals (nature) who are BUILT to travel to other galaxies (ie why are climate scientists trying to build machines instead of a tree!!! that sucks up carbon and purifies our air?)
I will stop rambling now 😂
but honorable mention to Force sensitive Jacen AND an actual Kanan mention? fuck me up
Tumblr media
ALSO not them mentioning the disaster lineage with all of that legacy talk 😂 does anyone feel like they’re paying attention to us? (I’m joking, they’re definitely paying attention to us)
NOW I WILL STOP

so, hmmmmm.
i caved and wrote up a rough overview of the snezhnaya princess tonitoni AU :)
.
To start - while I have specific ideas for this AU, I still intend to write this verse very loosely. Which is to say, while there are some core details that will be prevalent no matter what, everything else remains up for negotiation/discussion when writing together.
This verse is super duper suuuuuper non-canonical as is and for pure indulgence - I'm not going to be very stringent in how this verse plays itself out, essentially.
Core Details:
As this AU implies - in this verse, Tonia is officially recognized as the Tsaritsa's daughter.
However, she is NOT her biological daughter - even publicly, she is understood to have been adopted, though her exact origins are a mystery to everyone besides the Tsartisa's closest and most trusted.
Additionally, while Tonia is considered a princess as part of the Tsaritsa's lineage, she is NOT recognized as her successor - which is to say, she is not expected to become the next Cryo Archon nor even a human Tsaritsa to rule over Snezhnaya.
Semi-Core Details (aka how I personally justify this AU existing, and will primarily run by this premise unless discussed otherwise):
Tonia's origins still align with canon - she was born to a large middle class family in Morepesok.
.
However, like the primary Harbinger AU, she had followed her brother into the Abyss, died and was resurrected by the Irminsul, and returned to Teyvat as the sole survivor - similarly, her traumas unconsciously influenced the local leylines, causing inexplicable natural disasters in the region.
.
But here is where it diverges - one of these natural disasters ended up being a rare earthquake-caused tsunami, which due to the already chaotic nature of the leylines at this time, was amplified to the point of having a very devastating impact on the port town of Morepesok.
Even more unfortunately, this tsunami wiped out the rest of Tonia's family from how extremely abrupt and immensely dangerous it was. Tonia herself survived only due to her Irminsul biology forcing her into a hibernating, preserved state akin to the Petrified Trees in domains.
Due to the sheer scale of damage, Dottore was not the only Harbinger dispatched to the area. As such, when Tonia was eventually located in the submerged ruins of the town, the doctor was not able to freely spirit her away in secret for closer study in his labs.
Instead, with the permission of the surviving residents of Morepesok, she was taken to the capitol by the Fatui as a special but proper patient - with her case eventually presented to the Tsaritsa, once a diagnosis of her clearly inhuman condition was determined and Resin was used to wake her up.
Of course, Tonia wasn't happy to learn what happened while she was essentially comatose - hearing that her hometown was nearly wiped off the map and her whole family's passing, on top of her other traumatic experiences with her brother and the Abyss... she nearly evoked every possible natural disaster at the same time from the sheer devastation of the news.
.
In light of this entire situation, the Tsaritsa thus took Tonia in as her own child - promising and reassuring Tonia that as an Archon, she would not be defeated or killed so easily, and thus never leave the girl alone.
That said, adopting Tonia does serve multiple purposes for the Tsaritsa. For example, this allows the Archon to keep a cautious eye on a girl with strange but immense powers. Additionally, Tonia will receive protection against other forces who may want to misuse and weaponize her, such as the Abyss Order. And - most importantly, it grants a new, loving family to a child in tragic need of it.
.
As a result of all of the above - Tonia is very emotionally dependent on the Tsaritsa, who she calls her Mother. Tonia also suffers from PTSD, anxiety, abandonment issues, and a mild fear of drowning.
In terms of personality - she is a quiet and soft-spoken girl with a rather caring heart. So caring in fact, that she may become a little to extremely willful and stubborn, if only in wanting the best for others, and especially those she loves.
Altogether, this makes her carry a faint air of naivety, but not innocence; her eyes remain a very dull blue even years later, as her memories of the Abyss and the traumatic experiences that followed will never leave her, and she's still more than capable in a fight - even if she's not on par to stronger people like her mother.
Due to having been raised as literal royalty with the consequent quality of education and tutoring, Tonia is fairly learned in multiple aspects. She has elegant etiquette, cultured knowledge of Snezhnaya and the world at large, and can handle the average conversation with diplomats and politicians. She's much more average with mathematics and the sciences however.
After the experience of being forced into a "petrified" state as a child, her hair is now wired to be a permanent gradient of brown to silvery-white, with the ends of her hair always being the latter. That said, if using her abilities to the fullest, all of her hair will turn white, and can still grow out into branches of Irminsul in extreme cases.
"Not as crucial and can be ignored if you want" Details:
Tonia carries around a plush toy gifted to her at all times. All. Times.
Her moniker/nickname is "Snowflower" - or "The Pure Flower of the First Snow" among the more flamboyant (and hobby-less) tabloids, as she is likened to a flower sprouting and blooming after overnight snowfall; lovely and kind, with no noticeable flaws or obvious complaints surrounding her, though her general quietness ensures she tends to be overlooked, much like any white flower would be against a backdrop of white snow.
.
There is a notable fraction of nobles in Snezhnaya's politics that tend to debate and encourage for Tonia to be acknowledged as the Tsaritsa's official heir - either for the throne of Snezhnaya or Archonhood or both. Of course, the reasoning is often not benign; there is a hope for political or financial benefit that may be reaped by associating and/or currying favor with Tonia on some level.
.
While Tonia isn't being trained as a successor, she is nonetheless assisting the Tsaritsa in a secretarial fashion (or rather, forced her way into the role, because she really really really wants to help :( and spend more time with her mother). Her primarily duties are clerical work and managing the palace staff - nothing more, because the Tsaritsa wants to keep her out of the political and militaristic side of things.
However, Tonia's affinity for the leylines allows her to gain information wherever - as a result, she's become her own one-man intelligence network independent of the Fatui, and has been sneakily adding her findings to her mother's reports where possible. Though she has to be inconspicuous about it, lest someone start questioning the source of said additional info.
That said, because of said intelligence work + occasionally sneaking looks at more confidential documents that Tonia isn't supposed to be reading, only organizing for her mother - she's gradually noticed the more morally grey to black activities that the Fatui commits and that the Tsaritsa technically stamps her approval on. Tonia has yet to raise the subject, since she dearly cares for her mother and understands what kind of person she is, but she is also a little uneasy and concerned because of it all.

I love watching the insecurity in ahsoka in the first two episodes. “She’s not ready” “how do you know when they’re ready” “you both just know” but Sabine isn’t the one that left. It was ahsoka. “Anakin never got to finish my training” and “I am no jedi” with the “then I should have made a great jedi” “yes you should have” but ahsoka, my dear sweet child, are you ready to make her the great jedi? No. That’s fairly clear to me. But stop blaming it on Sabine. The child want to learn. Hers is right, she needs structure but not imperial or Mandalorian, disaster lineage structure. THE KIND YOURE FANTASTIC AT
But also my dear child YOU NEED TO DEAL WOTH YOUR TRAUMA FIRST like
Uugh i love her so much but if she says one more time that it’s Sabine who isn’t ready ima fight her

For the character ask game: Hilmes numbers 12, 16, 23 and 24 if you feel like it, plus anything else you wanna talk about for him?
The character ask game is here, if anyone else wants to participate!
12. Sexuality hc!
Personally see him as a disaster bi that, once he falls for someone, falls hopelessly. If it weren't for his trauma and entire situation he might have a better chance of expressing it, lol.
16. A childhood headcanon
I headcanon that he was just beginning to pick up learning an instrument before the fire, he was... more creatively inclined back then than he is right now, his rage has drained him of anything to spare for art and creativity. And I also headcanon that he might've planned to pick up an instrument for his mother, though I am not sure of the timeline. She might've passed away sooner than I think.
23. Future headcanon
Pushing canon aside far, far away, I have two paths in front of me: speculative headcanon set in canonverse, or I could answer for Wolfpack.
Screw it, how bout I answer both? :D
For the canon-adjacent-but-still-divergent category, we have a Hilmes who surprise! Did not push Zandeh away and instead confides in him about the truth of his lineage, and of course Zandeh is unbothered by this. He is loyal to Hilmes and always will be. Irina doesn't mind either, he is Hilmes, he is the man she loves, and that's what matters. Through a series of events I have yet to parse out, probably includes raising an army via Irina's claim (news must've reached Maryam that Irina tried to assassinate Innocentis and damn well near succeeded, and she is the last of their royal blood), gaining allies, and things actually going kinda well bc he's not shackled by an alliance to the Lusitanians, getting rid of fucking Bodin, and taking over Maryam and ruling there. Sorry Guiscard, you should go back to Lusitania. I wanted to give Hilmes a chance for a do-over, this time not for his own ambitions but for Irina, her family, justice for her, a way of atoning for what he indirectly caused. And I'd like to think he's gone through some growth so as to become an actually decent ruler who will keep growing. Could I also see them living a quiet life away from all that nonsense? Yes! But I'm also fond of this idea for inexplicable reasons. I like the idea of him dedicating his devotion to his beloved (who knows, maybe it ends up in a poly relationship), setting things right, and actually giving the Maryami some damned peace bc I can't imagine living under Bodin's reign being easy.
As for Wolfpack, he ends up Shah of Pars, he doesn't have his coronation right away, opting to fix the immediate problem of Ecbatana's food and water shortage, though he has to have a coronation sooner or later bc he does kinda need it to solidify his authority. But it's a means to an end rather than the end itself, he recognizes that there's so much to do, that things just don't end with him getting the throne. So he works. And while under any other circumstance this would be out-of-character for Hilmes, in this AU he does eventually end up believing in the abolition of slavery for a couple of reasons: firstly it was always meant to happen, if only Kaykhusraw hadn't betrayed the clan it would've happened three hundred years ago, this was long overdue— secondly he is constantly influenced by Arslan who he claimed as a retainer. Arslan knows how to temper him, and Irina... oh Irina, she's a gentle soul, and during her stay in Gorgan let's just say she got influenced too— and she in turn would influence Hilmes.
After his coronation, after things settle a little (suppressing rebellions from pretenders and all that) he visits the haunted Temple once again, this time to hold a ceremony to appease the spirits, to apologize, to put them to rest. And who knows, maybe he catches a glimpse of a silver-haired boy with eyes the same colour as his, snow-white glows on his skin, laughing as he fades away.
24. What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?
This is hard to answer bc he's already practically drowning in secrets in canon, LOL. I would just think of an answer and go, “wait that's an actual thing he kept secret in canon, fuck” so uh you're probably gonna get something outlandish and stupid for it, like that he actually knew jack shit about carving and whatnot, he just learnt it in a rush, practically speedran it just so he could show off to Irina, LMAOOOOOO

Fic Masterlist
Obi-Wan and Ahsoka:
against the dying of the light: Sometimes your master's master has more influence on your training than you think. And sometimes they send you a physical reminder.
i saw waves lifting the sea: queer grandmaster-grandpadawan bonding. that's it. that's the fic.
softly in the gloom they heard the birds: you know that meme where the two characters are both trying take a bullet for the other??? yeah.
it's cold on the floor: very short one-shot that i wrote entirely for the joke at the end. potentially the only thing i've written that doesn't contain any angst
Obi-Wan and Anakin:
i owe it to my brothers: an anthology of obi-wan and anakin snippets, currently very short
Disaster Lineage:
fallen sentries: A post-Lawless Arc story focusing on Obi-Wan's particular method of grieving, and how Ahsoka and Anakin have to figure out how to deal with it.
resemblances: Ahsoka looks back on her masters and her training during her time in the Rebellion
come by it honestly: a snippet of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka dealing with Anakin's nonsense, even (especially) when he's not around.
you cried when you cut your hair: exploring lineage dynamics through padawan braids
Other:
rumors: Korkie knows about the idle gossip of his aunt's court, but it can be difficult to separate truth from baseless speculation.
ori'vode: Cody is (unintentionally) emotionally assaulted by a preteen [i had to make this summary humorous because i DID cry while writing it. multiple times]
ahsoka tano gets her man: the fluff filler episode of clone wars i always wanted but never got, feat. obitine, korkie and ahsoka friendship, and obi-wan and ahsoka bonding.
to catch a tooka: it is a truth universally acknowledged that all stray cats must be in want of a teenage girl to adopt them
the final standing domino: Omega gets curious about some old holos Echo is looking at. Angst ensues.
scars: Obi-Wan and Cody snippet from the early Clone Wars, feat. Cody acting his (physical) age for approx. 2 min.
sabacc face: trapped in an escape pod? nothing to do? consider card games and accidentally digging up old family drama/trauma
it's every breath that comes before: short qui-gon death fic. his pov for the theed generator fight in tpm. i made myself sad
the sincerest form of flattery: omega is growing up a little too fast for hunter's taste, and not fast enough for hers (fluffier than it sounds)
AWOL: an angsty one-shot written in honor of cody's first awol-iversary
Modern AU:
and we don't notice any time pass: the main body of the modern au. constructed almost entirely of song lyrics, nostalgia, and and found family tropes. the clone wars but make it napoleon dynamite. sort of

we grow, we grow (steady as the morning) [series]
the disaster shatterpoint lineage au, co created & written with @maragny: an in-universe au with jedi as found family, framed in love and family and trauma and healing
presenting!!! a shiny new au!!!!!
yall we have spent MONTHS developing this au, and the more we work on fics within it, the more it grows, but here’s the basics:
AGES & RELATIONSHIPS
ages are (oldest to youngest): qui-gon > mace > obi-wan > depa > anakin > ahsoka > caleb
qui-gon and mace are similarly aged (qui-gon is 3 years older) and have been lifelong friends, and are in a queerplatonic partnership
obi-wan and depa are similarly aged, and mace and qui-gon raise them together
qui-gon is a good master!! obi-wan is very loved by qui-gon and mace and dooku
qui-gon and dooku were very close
obikin endgame
obi-wan is 8 years older than anakin and spends 8 years as qui-gon’s padawan before qui-gon’s death
qui-gon’s first padawan is xanatos, who does fall to the dark side & follows the legends plotline mostly
obi-wan is 21 when qui-gon dies
dooku & obi-wan are VERY similar and have the most parallels
they use specific words to refer to each other; sache is like a cousin, neve is like a niece/nephew, and saman is like uncle
CANON, AU CANON, & TIMELINE
phantom menace takes place mostly as-is: qui-gon and obi-wan find anakin on tatooine, maul kills qui-gon
dooku falls after qui-gon’s death. he also leaves the temple after qui-gon’s death, and so none of the jedi know he is fallen until geonosis
obi-wan goes undercover as hardeen to investigate a rumor about the chancellor, and he ends up finding proof that the chancellor is the sith lord in the senate, therein (eventually leading to) ending the war
dooku gets a complicated and emotionally fraught redemption arc
neither anakin nor dooku have a “boo the jedi council” mentality there’s only respect here
anakin is knighted approx. 6 months after geonosis/the start of the war, and christophsis/ahsoka as his padawan takes place about 4-5 months later
obi-wan and anakin get together about halfway between the first and second battles of geonosis
POWERS, ABILITIES, AND THE FORCE
the force signatures of jedi in a lineage all feel similar to each other
lineages tend to have similar force abilities
shatterpoint lineage powers: mace can see shatterpoints; depa has a strong connection to the cosmic force and gets ‘warning’ senses from it; caleb has both a strong connection to the living force and the cosmic force, and has a heightened ability to use the force to extend his senses
disaster lineage powers: dooku has storm/lightning powers while still a jedi (ex: can create a thunderstorm either on purpose or as a by-product of a strong enough emotion) and so does obi-wan. qui-gon has the strongest living force connection of the jedi at the temple at the time he’s alive, and then anakin does; anakin, besides his connection to the living force, can use the force to extend his senses, and ofc child of the force extremes; ahsoka has a strong connection to the cosmic force
obi-wan and anakin both use ataru as their preferred form until geonosis, after which obi-wan switches to soresu, and mace teaches anakin vaapad
once ahsoka ends up with a second crystal, all of them get very proficient in jar’kai because of practicing with her
mace forms a padawan bond with obi-wan after qui-gon’s death; obi-wan and depa have a force bond; and every new family member after that ends up with force bonds with all of them
a jedi’s force sensitivity tends to be one of two ways: very fluid movement between light and dark, or a dramatic pendulum swing between light or dark
mace, anakin, yoda, and ahsoka have the fluid sensitivity
obi-wan, depa, and caleb are only light
dooku is also only light, but dips into the dark too often which is partially how he falls
CHARACTER NOTES
depa is vegetarian
obi-wan gets oldest sibling trauma
anakin wants to be depa when he grows up
sometimes mace is a very tired single dad & all of them are his padawans, even if not in name
obi-wan is the shortest
i’m sure we missed some things lol but you can read them all on ao3 here!

This was a trauma that had sunk it's teeth into her flesh for so many years, silently tearing away at her so now that she had time to think about it, Ahsoka came crashing down.

Ahsoka sucked in a ragged breath, trying to ignore the burning behind her eyes. Anakin reached for her in the Force, and tendrils of guilt and regret, all saturated with undercurrents of love, surrounded her. She knew he was trying to let her in, to not bury everything he felt behind a mask he’d worn long before Vader. Anakin was learning from his mistakes, trying to do better just like she knew he would. But she had to get through this, first. Ahsoka needed to learn her own lessons, too.
*Good Sleep is Hard to Find - hellowkatey

3k, 1/1, Padawan Training, Child Soldiers, Jedi Temple, Ahsoka Tano, Other Padawans, Jedi Council, Anakin Skywalker, Teaching, SO INTERESTING
The Padawan – Ahsoka – approached him respectfully, yet with a bit of uncertainty. She looked tired, but so many of his students did, nowadays. “Do I still have some absences that I need to provide a mission excuse for?”
“No, no need to worry, everything appears fine in that regard.” In regard of providing an excuse, at least, not really in regard of the number of those excuses, he commented internally, quickly disregarding the intrusive thought. “You were, however, supposed to turn in your assignment on a chosen battle from the Cold War today…”
He could see the realization dawning on her face, as he’s seen it on so many others in similar circumstances.
*lately i feel so unstable - anxiety_banana

3k, 1/1, Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Heat Stroke Sickfic, Hurt/Comfort
The disaster trio returns to Geonosis and Ahsoka faces the threat of heatstroke.

9, 16, 18, 23 for cin 😌 OR for li shuwen
what if both??
[character ask meme]
Cin Drallig
9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character
It's kinda hard with cin because he appears for a grand total of like 4 minutes between his Clone Wars and Movie appearances combined lmao. So its not really a scene that made me love him at first but more or less the fact that he the potential to be such an interesting character. Also the promo posters where he's standing with Whie and Bene are too cute, he is papa frfr
16. Deepest darkest secret they won’t even admit to themselves
That maybe Dooku was right about the Republic rotting from the inside out. Though he would never agree with his methods.
18. What they’d go to see a therapist about
Being the only sane man in the entire disaster lineage lmao. Though in seriousness probably unresolved resentment and grief towards Dooku and Yoda haha. And guilt about essentially training children to be soldiers during the clone wars
23. If they were a scented candle, what would they smell like?
Cinnamon (please laugh im funny) or maybe ginger? one of those comfy warm scents.
Li Shuwen
9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character
The Gayest Fight In America: Li Shuwen vs Beowulf. Not to say that I didn't like him beforehand, but I really started to like and fall in love with him when this funny Chinese guy who kinda just wanted to pick a fight with us but then said "ok we're allies but I'm not sticking around bye" and left just showed up?? and then threw his spear away to punch out Mr. Shirtless???? and then got mad when Medb summoned the demon pillar??? like man, how can I not love him he's so funny
16. Deepest darkest secret they won’t even admit to themselves
How traumatic his childhood years actually were. Probably blocked out how harsh it was to literally have his leg broken by the teacher who was the one in charge of teaching him to act and preform was.
18. What they’d go to see a therapist about
he's the reason why half of chaldea is in therapy wdym (childhood trauma and also navigating through neurodivergance because that man definitely autistic)
23. If they were a scented candle, what would they smell like?
pine, peach, or cedar wood, or something like a light incense scent ehe

Tumblr media
Series warnings: Smut, mind control, canon typical violence, childhood trauma, language, chronic illness
Chapter warnings: Fluff in the 1st degree
Translations: mesh'la: Beautiful
darasuum: eternity
Previous Chapter:
Next chapter:
When they landed on Coruscant,  Miria was awake and mostly alert, though she was coughing spectacularly. "I'll…- hack-  take a shuttle to the temple…" she muttered. "I reserved the same hotel as- hack- before.  Five rooms."
"We're taking you." Hunter grumbled.  "You can barely stand."
Miria huffed, but didn't argue. She was frustrated that he was right.  Crosshair slipped an arm around her waist. "Come on,  baby girl.  You'll feel better afterward."
They locked the ship up in port and Tech got a skycar rented for them to take her to the temple.  She at least had the presence of mind to call ahead to her master, and the Kel Dor met them at the front steps.  "I've got her from here. Thank you, gentlemen,  for bringing her home."
"Mm fine, Master.  Just tired." She grumbled.  "Echo needs-"
"We'll see to it after you're better." Plo took her from Crosshair's grip and walked her inside,  gently scolding her like a father.  "Honestly, Miria.  Disobeying the council isn't enough, you have to argue with everything now?  You're so stubborn,  if I didn't know better I'd say you were from the Grandmasters disaster lineage..."
Hunter chuckled.  "We'll pick her up in a couple days." He told Echo.  "Or she'll sneak out and turn up at the hotel.   Let's get you to the medical center and have those prosthetics properly looked at. I know you skipped half of what you needed to get back into the action on Anaxes."
Echo smiled sheepishly.  "There was work to be done."
"C'mon. Tech can make improvements back at the hotel." Hunter looked at Crosshair as they started to walk away.  "You coming?"
The sniper shook his head.  "I need to go do something.  I'll meet you later."
Tech cocked an eyebrow.  "Do what?"
"It's for Miria." Crosshair muttered noncommittally. "I'll catch up."
Tech and Hunter exchanged glances.  "Alright.  Stay out of trouble." The sergeant murmured.
"I will." Crosshair walked off.
Tech fiddled with his data pad and chuckled.  "I wonder what he's up to…"
Wrecker chuckled,  spotting another flat holo Tech had recorded on the screen.  This time it was Miria asleep on Crosshair's chest in the cockpit,  the sniper's hand resting on her hair as he dozed himself.  Tech sent any particularly cute pictures to Crosshair every time he took one,  knowing that his brother wanted them even if he wouldn't ask.  "Can't be too bad.  Not if it's for the General."
"Yeah." Tech chuckled.  "He will be fine.  Stop worrying about it, Hunter."
The sergeant sighed.  "Alright, alright.  Let's go get Echo looked at,  then we'll check into the hotel. I need a break from all your noises anyway."
Tumblr media
Crosshair was on a mission.  He'd been to every goddamn store in the mid and upper levels that sold shiny girly shit, looking for the perfect ring.  Most of them he discounted immediately.  Too ostentatious, too big to fit in her gloves,  too impractical, too expensive and she'd give him shit if he spent that much,  too obvious… he was getting frustrated.
Tech had said this wasn't official until he put a ring on that pretty little hand of Miria's,  and it had to be the right one.
He finally ended up in a lower-mid level shop, not even an actual jewelry store,  looking over custom silverwork  out of more boredom than expectation to find anything.  If he didn't find what he was looking for soon,  he'd go back up and buy the stupidly expensive white crystal set he'd seen hours ago,  ignore her fussing,  and she could wear it on a chain around her neck or something to avoid questions for the rest of the war.
"Looking for something?" A Mirialan shopkeeper with interesting diamond shaped chin tattoos chuckled at him.  She had her head wrapped up in a shiny looking white scarf, a circlet of silver chain adorned with little semiprecious gems set in it in regular intervals.
Crosshair had to remind himself that he actually needed to talk to someone if he was going to find anything.  The lady seemed genuine, and with his armor stored on the ship no one would know he was a clone soldier.  He was just a man, looking for a ring for his girl.  "Actually,  yes."
The woman smiled.  "Tell me what you need.  If I don't have it,  I probably know where to find it."
He nodded.  "A… ring.  Women's size six,  something smooth that won't catch on gloves."
She mused thoughtfully.  "Stones?"
"Only if they're set flat.  Purple or white,  preferably."
She chuckled. "Proposing?"
His eyes darted to the side and he rolled his toothpick between his teeth.  "Something like that.  She… works with her hands.  Needs to be a certain style."
She looked at his tattoo thoughtfully.  "Engraving?"
"You got a suggestion?"
"I do." She pulled out a box of simple silver bands,  and another of pretty little cut stones. "I can put this…" she pinched a small amethyst the color of Mirias eyes between her fingernails and placed it in his open hand to inspect.  "In the middle of a design based on your ink.  I'll inlay it even with the band.  I can do engraving on the inside too, if you want."
He nodded,  eyes lighting up a little.  "That's… fucking perfect,  actually."
She chuckled, pulling out a data pad. "Describe what you want,  and I'll have it done in a few days."
He nodded.  "When do you open? Hell, I'll bring you a caf, first thing."
The woman chuckled. "Normally,  0900. But… I could open a little early in the name of a free caf. 0600?"
"I'll be here." He lowered his head as she pushed a piece of flimsi and a pencil to him to give her a rough idea of what he was looking for.  He wasn't quite the artist his girl was,  but he could make do.
The shopkeeper grinned as he pushed the flimsi back.  "Lucky girl."
Crosshair chuckled a little.  "Nah. I'm the lucky one."
Tumblr media
Miria sat idly in the Jedi refectory with her lunch,  tapping her nails on the table.  Plo Koon had been scolding her for not eating enough,  since Master Che had gotten on her for dropping weight again.  "I can see your ribs,  dear girl. You're not leaving the temple until you've eaten three meals a day for a week."
Seeing as tea didn't count for breakfast,  she'd let them load her with oatmeal this morning.  Now she was poking at a bowl of soup and fresh bread,  wishing she could trade the admittedly delicious temple food for a ration pack with Crosshair.
Plo had left her ten minutes ago, under strict orders to finish her tray,  to go deal with some nonsense involving Wolffe. She had wanted to laugh when he'd absentmindedly called him her brother.  We really are the "make a family out of anyone" lineage…
"Miria?" Murmured a Rutian accented voice, pulling her from the daydream. She looked up,  facing a blue twi'lek holding her own lunch and looking nervous.
"Aayla?" She blinked.  Aayla Secura, her best friend when she was a crecheling… the friend who'd first left her behind.  Right in the very same room.  "Oh… hello. Do you need this table,  dear? I can move…"
"No! I… wanted to talk to you." Aayla said quietly.  "Is this seat taken?"
"Not at all." Miria smiled faintly.  "Though I'm not sure what good company I'll be.  I usually eat alone when I'm in the temple."
"I know.  That's… that was my fault." Aayla sat down across from her.  "That's what I wanted to talk about."
"It's alright,  Aayla. I'm used to it-"
"I was awful to you." Aayla shook her head.  "And everyone else went along with it.  I'm sorry,  Miria. I never should have treated you that way. You needed me,  and I walked away from you."
This wasn't an apology Miria had ever expected to receive,  and the still raw hurt ached in her heart.  "That was over twenty years ago,  Aayla…"
"I know.  I've wanted to talk to you so many times,  but… I was afraid to. I know I was wrong,  I knew the minute I said those terrible things.  I was scared to watch you die,  and I didn't think about how much scarier it must have been for you…" She looked sincere to Mirias eyes,  and there was no trace of a lie in the Force around her.  "You avoided me for years,  and rightfully so.  And you went through everything all alone…"
"Why now?" Miria whispered.  "After so many years?" She tried to keep her voice level, when she wanted to split apart. Aayla was right,  she'd been so alone until she'd met the Batch… why now did this ghost decide to haunt her?
"I heard about what you did on Anaxes. How you saved everyone with your team.  How brave you were." Hesitant blue hands crept across the table towards Mirias scarred fingertips,  as if she was reaching towards a cornered massif carefully.  "And Master Koon mentioned that… you said I was still someone you wanted to protect. I kept thinking about your new friends,  and how lucky they are.  I can't erase my mistake,  but I've missed you all this time.  I want to be your friend again, Miri."
The pale fingers resting on the table unfurled,  closing the final inches between hers and Aaylas hands.  "I never stopped being your friend, you know."
Aayla let out a watery smile.  "I'm so sorry,  Miri…"
The human smiled,  eyes equally damp. "I forgave you a long time ago, Aayli."
The old nickname had the twi'lek sobbing, holding her hand across the table. Miria squeezed her fingers. "Finish your lunch,  dear… maybe we can go catch up for a while?"
"I-I'd like that…"
Suddenly the prospect of finishing her lunch was far less daunting, and when Aayla stopped sniffling they were able to eat. "So how's your unit?" Miria chuckled after a few war stories back and forth.  "They sound fun."
Aayla smiled sheepishly.  "Oh… yeah.  Especially Commander Bly…"
Mirias grin widened.  "You didn't."
"Shh. Not too loud." Aayla giggled.  They felt like teenage girls again,  instead of two Generals nearing thirty.  "But he's wonderful. Please don't tell on me."
Miria leaned in conspiratorially. "That would be very hypocritical of me."
Aayla gasped. "Really?"
Miria nodded.  "And here I thought I was the only one."
"I'm pretty sure half the Jedi on active battlefronts are either dating or have adopted at least one clone.  They're too likable not to…" Aayla confessed.  "Even Master Kenobi is really close to Commander Cody,  even if he'd never do something about it with the council being so against it…. But maybe with so many people falling in love,  things could change. The council would be in a lot of trouble if we all just decided to leave after the war."
Miria tapped her spoon against her lips thoughtfully.  "That's a good point…" A blossom of hope welled in her heart. If things did change,  she wouldn't have to leave the order.  She could keep her friends and the only life she'd known,  and still have Crosshair. Still have her family,  with the Batch. "Might be worth bringing up after the war ends.  I'm turning into something of a maverick,  I might as well use it to my advantage. If they say no,  I'll continue with my original plan."
"What's that?" Aayla smiled.
"Leave the order,  hope they'll still agree to let me seek treatment here,  and marry him." Miria chuckled.
"That's so romantic, like those holo dramas we used to watch." Aayla smiled.  "What's his name?"
"Crosshair."
Tumblr media
"I was starting to think you were being held against your will." Echo chuckled.  He had gone with Wrecker and Tech to pick Miria up from the temple when she'd finally commed in,  after five days of being fed and fussed over.  She only stayed as long as she had because Aayla had pleaded with her not to sneak out and to spend a little more time catching up.
"I spent some time with an old friend. We binge watched Naboo Nights and made popcorn." She chuckled.  "But I missed you guys the whole time."
"Missed you too,  General." Wrecker picked her up in a bone crushing hug.
She laughed.  "Where's Crosshair and Hunter?"
"Someone three floors down was smoking inside,  so Hunters got a migraine." Echo explained.
She clicked her tongue sympathetically.  "Poor dear."
Tech nodded.  "That's why Crosshair quit smoking.  Tobacc smoke always gives Hunter migraines."
She blinked.  "I didn't know he used to smoke."
"We were cadets. I believe it was a proverbial middle finger to command." Tech shrugged.  "When he found out that was what was making Hunter so miserable,  he quit cold."
"You think he's grumpy now,  you should have seen him back then." Wrecker chuckled.  "We were desperate to find anything that helped,  and the toothpick thing was kind of a last ditch effort.  But it stuck."
Miria smiled fondly,  thinking of her sniper dropping such an addictive habit just to spare his brother,  no matter how miserable he'd be. There was that shining star she'd always seen in him… "Where is he?"
Echo shrugged. "He's been doing something since we dropped you off. We've hardly seen him. I've mostly been hanging out with these two while Tech works in upgrading my new prosthetics."
"The ones you received from the Techno Union were extremely crude.  These are at least serviceable,  but by no means are they perfect." Tech chuckled.  "And they still couldn't get you a hand."
"I've got someone working on that,  dear." Miria smiled.  Echo did already look better,  some of his color coming back.  "You're not the first friend of mine to lose a right arm."
"Not sure I like being part of that club." He chuckled.  "But c'mon.  You gotta be sick of this place."
"I'm just ready to spend time with you all again. Sleeping alone is garbage." She chuckled back,  hopping in the skycar to get back to the hotel.
"You know we could have slept in the barracks.  You didn't have to pay for five rooms." Echo murmured.
"Hunter needs a break from all the noise,  Tech needs space for whatever project he's working on,  anywhere with a maid service suits Wrecker,  and Crosshair will absolutely get into a fight." She smiled.  "Plus,  how often do any of us get privacy?"
"Fair enough. I just want you to know I appreciate you."
"I know,  dear.  You're a sweet person. I'm very glad to have you on the team." They unloaded in front of the hotel and headed up. They pointed Miria to Crosshair's room,  and he'd already sent her the key code to get in.
She found him in the middle of his favorite part of shore leave, the afternoon nap,  on the couch.  She smiled fondly,  leaning over to press a kiss against his brow.  "Cross,  love? I'm back."
He mumbled in his sleep,  fingers twitching where they rested crossed over his thin waist. He was so lovely,  she'd always thought.  Tall and narrow,  sharp angles that softened against her touch.  Just perfect to curl her head into his chest and fall asleep.
She headed to the bedroom to set her bag down,  letting him rest.  He looked too peaceful to bother, and she wanted a shower before she cuddled up to him.  She probably still smelled like medical disinfectant.
Crosshair woke up to the water turning off and blinked.  Usually he'd be a much lighter sleeper,  but he'd been running around for days trying to get shit right and he was tired.  Who the fuck was in here….?
He spotted a silver saber hilt laying on his rifle case, rounded pommel and a widened end with two recurved tips. Mirias lightsaber…
He smiled faintly and leaned his head back again.  She was back… thank the Maker.
She padded back into the room in a clean dress, hair damp and toweled into fluff.  Her eyes drifted to his half open ones. "You're awake."
"Against my will." He yawned. "But you're finally here, so it's not so bad."
"That was almost romantic,  Cross. You're slipping." She teased.
"'Mere. You were gone for fucking ever." He reached for her lazily.
Miria chuckled,  giving him her hand and letting him tug her down onto his chest and hold her.  "Sorry, love. But apparently when your diet is primarily tea and ration bars, you lose weight and get yelled out by healers.  I know Master Che means well, but I never want to see a bowl of honey oatmeal again. She made me eat two bowls every morning."
Crosshair chuckled.  "That why you were gone so long this time?"
She nodded. "And… I saw Aayla." She whispered.
That made him pause.  He'd heard about the twi'lek that left her all alone when she was small. The reason she'd been so lonely… he couldn't stand the idea she'd been hurt again.  "Miria."
"She apologized,  Cross. She wants to make amends. It was… nice. It felt good." She clarified,  and he marginally relaxed.
"That's good,  I guess.  If it makes you happy." He finally said.
"You make me happier." She smiled.
"I like hearing that."
She snuggled up tightly.  "What have you been doing?  The guys said they'd barely seen you."
Crosshair chuckled, running his fingers down her back. "I got something for you."
"Me?"
"No, the other girl in my lap. Of course, you." He teased. "Here. Close your eyes."
She did it dutifully.  "What's this all about, Cross?"
"It's a surprise." He set her on the couch and stood.
"You hate surprises,  love."
"I hate being surprised.  I don't mind being in on it." His lips found her forehead, warm and startlingly gentle. He was rarely so gentle with her,  and never with anyone else. Tech called him severe and unyielding,  but Miria was like flowing water over sharp stone with him.  Constantly smoothing his sharp edges a little at a time, cutting through him to reveal what was underneath.  "Keep your eyes closed,  cyare. I'll be right back."
Her smile was sweet, hands settling in her lap while she heard him pad off down the hall.  His signature in the Force felt so bright right now,  so beautiful and alive. He was happy about something and she loved the way it felt.
He came back,  but didn't sit down beside her.  Instead,  she heard his knees come to rest on the plush carpet in front of her.  "Okay.  Open your eyes, mesh'la."
The lavender eyes opened and she blinked.  Crosshair, her hardened soldier,  was settled on his knees in front of her with a polished black box half the size of her fist in his palm.  His cheeks were actually a little red, eyes locked onto her face like she was a target in the scope.  "Cross?" She cocked a head to the side.
His thumb brushed the box open with a skillful flick.  Inside was shining silver,  a ring beautiful in its clever simplicity. There was a small shining amethyst set flat in the middle,  dead center of a sniper's crosshairs engraved and filled in with black lacquer.  "I said I was going to do this right,  baby girl." He said quietly.  "So, will you marry me?"
Her eyes lit up, brighter than the stone, and she burst into a huge smile.  "Yes. A thousand times,  yes." She reached for his face,  leaning over to kiss him with breathless delight he could almost taste on her lips.
Crosshair surged up and pulled her into his arms,  blood singing.  He knew she'd say yes, she'd asked him first,  but… hearing her say it out loud felt like coming home.
She'd always been his home, hadn't she?  From the very first time he'd kissed her,  he'd known he'd do anything in the galaxy to keep coming back for more.
He plucked the ring from the box and set it in her hand.  "Look on the inside."
She took it between her fingers and turned it, eyes wide.  Inside, there was a carved crescent moon and star,  and something in neat letters she couldn't read.  "What does it say?"
"Darasuum." He murmured. "In Mando'a script. You like it?"
She slipped it onto her left hand, the cool metal going warm on her skin.  "Where did you find something like this?"
"Had it custom made." He chuckled.  "It looks good on you."
She tucked herself under his chin.  "I love it.  I love you even more."
He wrapped strong arms around her.  "Perfect girl." His face pressed into the back of her neck.  "Just wanted to do this right for you…"
She smiled fondly.  "You're what's right for me,  Crosshair."

hannibal lecter : verse : unholy by blood, unholy by virture
Born during the Grand Duchy of Lithuania’s rule, Hannibal Lecter was the son of of nobility and was given high standards for how he was supposed to act and behave. Lucky for the Count and Countess, their son was a prodigy, a dutiful older brother, and, according to most that met him, had the talent and wit to succeed where others could not. Although the Count was mid-range as far as noblemen went, his son was so far advanced in learning that he managed to catch the attention of Grand Dutchess Birutė.
The Grand Dutchess chose Hannibal to be a companion for her son Vytautas. Lucky for Hannibal, he received an even greater education than what his parents ever could have provided. However, on holiday with his parents and sister, disaster struck -
The Count and Countess murdered before his eyes. Hannibal and Mischa held captive by a group of assassins that wanted to reap the rewards of holding the prodigy hostage. His ties to the Grand Duke’s son were valuable, but the monsters themselves chose their hideout poorly. When the weather turned sour and trapped them for a time, they ended up staving off starvation by devouring Hannibal’s sister.
Although Hannibal was eventually rescued, he was forever changed, as was his appetite.
Being exposed to such severe trauma turned him toward the unholy, the terrifying. Hannibal Lecter refused to lose control again. Thus, his studies in the occult began. Vytautas tried to support his friend as best he could, but understood that something had changed within the boy he knew. There was a deep hunger in his eyes that Vytautas found both invigorating and terrifying - Yes, even Vytautas knew that Hannibal, someday, would be a force to be reckoned with.
Hannibal was taken in by the Grand Duke and Duchess and aided Vytautas during civil war, but ultimately Hannibal wanted to be more than just an aid to his old friend. Eventually, his cannibalistic tendencies made it harder to stay in one place, especially since he enjoyed studying the supernatural - so Hannibal remained transient for a time, enjoying the freedom that a bit of noble lineage and coin allowed him to see many beautiful, wonderful things -
Approaching middle age, however, everything changed. A man who he sought to target for his own meal ended up turning the tables and forcibly changing him into something truly terrifying - a vampire. A powerful one at that. He used the change to his advantage, however, and in the end still lives to this day in luxury. Although the title Count is not so relevant in the modern era, his expertise in the supernatural and divine means his is a valuable resource, if not an expensive one.
For a time, Hannibal Lecter did practice medicine, but supernatural laws shifted to not allow beings like vampires in fields where they would be exposed to blood - thus, his job title varies, oftentimes a professor of the supernatural or aiding in cases that involve supernatural entities. Although he has worked for Jack Crawford sparingly, he still met and was bewitched by one Will Graham, though the vampire Hannibal Lecter is much more guarded than one might expect - when Will Graham refused to go with him back to Europe, Hannibal packed his bags and went home, though he is not sure if he made the right choice this time.  What’s the use of immorality if one lives misunderstood and alone?

C, D, I, L and M for star wars if that’s ok! :)
C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.
Honestly I've just never been the target audience for f/f pairings, so stuff like Barrisoka probably? Totally cool, just not my wheelhouse.
Edit: I just remember Asajj ships exist and also ObiMaul! Iyam also not the target audience for those, although the latter is extremely funny because I like them separately and with other people, I just can't get it to click in my brain.
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.
Oh that's a tough one. Uhhhhh. Oh! Ships with Quinlan are often something I've never really connected with. I don't know the guy besides I think that one episode (arc?) with Ziro the Hutt, but I swear everything with him in it doesn't really give him a personality besides "dude who probably smokes weed and flirts" and like. Who am I to say "flesh out that minor character in your fanfictions that are for fun and neither homework nor profit" but I still can't be bothered because I have no emotional connection to him even as a jumping off point. (And that's ignoring that I think everything I've ever seen about him in Legends suffers from being, you know, A Star War, so I just accept him as a one-off character I barely remember in a TV show I don't even really like.)
Edit: Per the last question's edit: I wish I could get into ObiMaul because I have a couple friends who are into it and there's a bunch of really interesting content for it, my brain just doesn't vibe.
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Yeah I used to be into Teen Wolf on another blog, er, many years ago now, but there were some assholes who were assholes to a friend of mine and that ended up turning me off the fandom. Also I was very into Voltron after the first couple seasons dropped—dark times, I know—but, well. I think we all know how that went. I actually never got more than a couple (or maybe just one?) episodes into I think season 3 (whichever one introduced the Galra twink??) and then after that it um. Was all just terrible, so I cut my losses. I was also into Fantastic Beasts (Despite The Warning Signs) after the first movie dropped and then dipped after Assholes Being Assholes, but that was on discord more than tumblr. Other than that, I donut recall.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Ahsoka is a good addition to the Star Wars mythos, actually. (Same for all the other survivors of the Jedi Purge that continuously pop up because, you know, that's literally how it goes with genocides.) She creates more layers of intergenerational trauma to the Disaster Lineage, helps contextualize where the Jedi we know and the Order as a whole are mentally and emotionally by the end of the war as compared to the start, adds yet another facet of inevitable fucking tragedy to Anakin's dark side-fueled break with reality, has a cool character design, and becomes an intriguing and engaging character in her own right. She's a valuable and worthwhile addition and I appreciate her creation and inclusion.
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Every single person in the Star Wars universe is a disaster and a half who's probably committed crimes against humanity in the background (or foreground!) of at least one Clone Wars arc. They all need incredible amounts of therapy and couldn't maintain a healthy relationship if their lives literally depended on it, and sometimes they literally do and thus my point is proven.
........Darth Maul.

Star Wars Prequels Headcanons from me and other fanfic authors
So Star wars Prequels headcanons. My personal ones, ones the majority agrees with, and ones you see in Fanfic. This is not including the Clone Wars headcanons except Ahsoka cause she's parts of this.
This is the Jedi we see and might need to spread into two or more parts. We have a lot to get through, so sit back and relax.
Disaster Lineage - its big, its chaotic and full of unstable people
Ahsoka Tano
- Bites people, from being a Togruta but also learnt that from Anakin.
- Eyes glow in the dark like cats and also pupils go wide like cats on catnip
- no ᑎO ᗷOᑎEᔕ so super flexible and can twist her head like an owl.
- She, i feel, is leaning towards more demigirl/genderfluid presenting female because a) vibes b) the way she acts and such and c) cause why not.
- was scared when she got two crystals cause she didn't know what it meant.
- very cute when she was younger
- Plo was absolutely her dad. Still is and will be
- messed around on the lower levels, with drugs, sex and all sorts of other stuff.
- knows bounty hunters and people on the black market.
- stays awake for 72 hours, eats very small meals and then crashes on the nearest wall. This has caused quite a worry with Healer Che.
- Hates Medbay, like the rest of the lineage and that's due to the war.
- Hyperactive and like Anakin, uses moving mediation.
Anakin SkyWalker
- When he joins the Jedi Order and such, he is bullied quite a lot
- Hasn't gone to therapy but in Fix-its he does and he doesnt turn if he goes to therapy.
- Anakin's ( and this is in some but i think agreed upon) name means Rain Bringer, as on Tatooine names have meaning.
- There is a multitude of ships between him and other characters.
- He knows a lot about biology and sex cause he had to go fix a bunch of broken machinery at the pleasure houses and learnt a lot from the " Colourful and Shiny ladies"
My personal Headcanons
- He knows slithers of langauges ( Mostly swears) because of traders/merchants, smugglers, pilots and so on.
- He bites people as a defensive maneuver when he was younger but I don't think he grew out of it.
- Definitely did not want to meet Palpatine at all but went to make Obi-wan and the Jedi council happy.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
- The force loves him so much and wraps itself around him like a blanket.
- He has too much trauma because of Yoda's meddling and Qui-gon being a dick.
- Most often found in Time-Travel fics cause why not
- He attracts danger, mandalorians, siths and darksiders and bounty hunters.
- An AU is when he gets de aged or sent back in time but gets chosen as someone else's padawan. Some of my favorite fics are like this.
- Absolutely hated tea and preferred caf at some point idk when.
- Has gone through so much trauma, bandomeer, Melia/Daan, On the run with the duchess of Mandalore, etc.
- Does Not like the New Mandalorians and prefers the true mandalorians instead.
- Time Travel fics get him either teaching himself, joining the mandalorians or freeing Shmi and Anakin before anything else.
- Also he speaks more than 37 languages because of qui-gon getting sidetracked on missions.
- ALso the council loves him and takes care of him sometimes.
qui-gon jinn - An Asshole
he doesn't get his name in capitals cause i hate him.
- an asshole and needs therapy.
- smokes space weed and is that weird uncle at family gatherings
- was SUCH an ASSHOLE to our smol bean obi-wan.
- ABUSED OBI WAN AND MADE HIM SUFFER
- picks up strays and other animals and creatures, resulting in obi-wan taking care of it.
- Repudiated his first padawan, his second fell or "sauntered vaguely downwards" ( Xanatos words not mine) and had Obi-wan who turned out traumatized and an teaholic.
- Yoda loves him, the Council hates him and Obi-wan's friends are the "we hate qui-gon club"
- Took Obi-wan cause of Yoda's meddling
there's nothing left to say about him but he can kriff off but also what the actual kriff was he thinking with Melia/Daan. Like I get your girlfriend is in trouble but still you could have not lied. Asshole
Yan Dooku
- Has high standards and is very dramatic.
- Him and Madame Nu definitely had something going on.
- Was never fully Sith.
- He's "Obi-wan's royal, dramatic grandpa" as Quinlan Vos states.
- Likes his Grandson very much and if he stayed he would absolutely spoil him. I think he does it by sending gifts and such and Obi-wan is so confused.
- Doesn't like his Great Grandson aka "walking disaster and not subtle at all" Anakin Skywalker, cause it reminds him of Qui-gon.
- If he was alive when Ahsoka joined ( idk what year he died aka got decapitated by his great-grandson) the linage, I can see him doing two things a) tries to get ahsoka to join him or b) Gives her advice on how to deal with politicians and teaches her to negotiate.
- Wine Mom or I guess Grandpa? Has a huge wine collection.
- I feel like excluding his lineage that he had a child who married and had a child meaning that in both in the Jedi Order and outside of it, he has grandchildren. Which means there's a descendant of Dooku running around space.
Yoda
*screams* A troll, goblin and menace to society. Put him in a nursing home. please
- Very chaotic and very old grandpa
- treats everyone like his kids cause they are
- taught kids how to speak like him and make no sense at all.
- The jedi council is just really tired of his billshit.
- Meddles in everything including who gets which intaite as a padawan.
- Gossips with other grandmasters.
- Makes swamp tea and stew which to everyone else is disgusting but they eat or drink it anyway to not get whacked.
- Yoda whacks peoples shins and most likely did it to politicians.
- very old.
Next time, the Jedi council and individual headcanons for them. I give up.
