Mickey and Minnie Mouse - Steamboat Willie
Yes, the first time I draw Mickey and Minnie is on the occasion of their birthday, which they celebrate on November 18, because on that date in 1928 they first appeared in the classic short called "Steamboat Willie". The creators are certainly Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks (the one who created Oswald the rabbit).
To be honest, it didn't work out too well for me, and I'm not much of a fan of Mickey, as I would be with other Disney characters like Donald, Goofy, Horace, Oswald, Pete, Pluto and others who are more of my favorites. But Mickey has his strengths in that he is humble (unfortunately his company abused Mickey's character to the point of abnormality), adventurous, goofy, sensitive, but also a smart mouse in his own ways. I love his classic shorts as well as comics especially Floyd Gottfredson and the Italian Topolino comics where he excels, especially when he plays a detective. Certainly his first role in Steamboat Willie is certainly legendary as well as his whistle so I drew it as a redraw from the famous scene where he drives the steamboat. And then there's his girlfriend Minnie who makes her first appearance there. And I drew her character taking inspiration from Mickey Mouse Cartoons by Paul Rudish where she and Mickey turned out to be the best. Certainly their couple remained legendary.
Sorry this didn't turn out the best, I was in a hurry and drew them in color since Steamboat Willie was shown in black and white. Anyway, I hope you like this drawing and it's my gift for Mickey and Minnie Mouse fans.
I hope to devote more time to them in other cartoons and comics where they excel, though not as much as Donald, Goofy, Daisy and the rest of the crew I prefer. Sorry about that and happy belated birthday, Mickey and Minnie!

Thinking about the summer along with Mickey and friends made me want to draw Mickey, Minnie, Millie, Melody, Morty, Ferdy, Donald, and Daisy together. This one inspired by the Enchanting Hut and Ku’u Lei Melody shorts.

I hate Disney the corporate entity and all the monopolizing and damage they've done to art and entertainment but man...Once Upon a Studio fucking got me right in the feels man. You can tell how much love there is for the imagination, artistry, and legacy Walt Disney Animation Studios have made over the last 100 year.
Somewhere buried deep under the corporate machine and greed, the creativity and soul that made Disney animation so iconic and beloved still lives.

Scrooge McDuck in Australia in search of a shiny crocodile egg - The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck - Donald Duck and Joey the Kangaroo - Daddy Duck - Australia Day - Duckverse
Yes, I am late, because Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th of January, but for some reason I didn't get to finish it until now. However, since I'm currently in the spirit of Australia, I'm going to publish some drawings of our heroes related to that country.
By the way, Australia Day is celebrated because on that day, in 1788, the first fleet made landfall and raised the British flag under the command of Arthur Phillip and founded Sydney there. Admittedly, the first settlers were prisoners.
The first drawing I drew was related to The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and the comic "The Dreamtime Duck of the Never-Never", which was the seventh part of the cult album by Don Rosa and tells about Scrooge's trip to Australia and his many misadventures . Scrooge met the highwayman and saved the aborigine from that highwayman. That aborigine is called Jabiru the aborigine and he is a representative of the indigenous people who lived in Australia. Scrooge found a brilliantly decorated egg that was worth a fortune, yet hearing from Jabiru the dream stories, otherwise known as Dreamtales, which were painted in the cave, he gave up on it and moved on in search of greater riches. I drew Scrooge, Jabiru, and a bound highwayman in a cave that was painted with various images that foretell Scrooge's future (you can see the Money Bin and Scrooge's future family members Donald and Huey, Dewey, and Louie). By the way, I used painting motifs as used by Aboriginal people and as used by Don Rosa in his comics, but I combined them in my own ways. Yes, and music related to these drawings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLVPgNjQ5kg
The second drawing is a redraw from the Donald Duck classic short "Daddy Duck" from 1948, directed by Jack Hannah, where Donald adopts a baby kangaroo named Joey the Kangaroo. Although mischievous, that kangaroo still loved his adoptive father Donald, as he loved him, and in my opinion it is one of the few moments (at least as far as Jack Hannah is concerned) where Donald finally had a happy ending. Yes, I drew it, because after all, kangaroos live in Australia.
I hope you like these drawings and these ideas and feel free to like and reblog this! And happy belated Australia Day!

pointless bit of doctor who trivia of the day: when they made the seventh doctor's title sequence, one of the designers suggested it'd look cool if his face was silver. he meant that he could just recolour it silver, but no one got the memo and they literally painted sylvester mccoy's face silver for the photoshoot. and made him wink

Happy late 90th birthday, Goofy!
Happy birthday, Goofy Goof!
Although my blog is primarily related to Disney Duckverse, I still can’t help but congratulate the birthday of one of Donald’s best friends, and that is Goofy Goof. On May 27, 1932, Goofy first appears in a classic short called “Mickey’s Revue,” but is portrayed as Dippy Dawg. After that, it will get its classic look, the one we all know well. I must mention, that Goofy is one of my best and my favorite characters from cartoons and comics and who in my opinion is one of the best and funniest characters of all time. His clumsiness and his laughter are well known, as is his scream or yelling. So here are some of his famous depictions from classic shorts, cartoons, series, movies, comics, books and video games with his best friends, son, various ladies, his nephew and cousin, etc. Happy 90th birthday, Goofy!
There will be a few pictures this time, as it can't fit everything, but you can check out last year's post where I posted about Goofy's birthday:
https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/652191316441268224/happy-birthday-goofy-goof
Sorry, it didn’t go exactly in chronological order, but there are certainly almost all the appearances where Goofy appeared. I wish him a happy birthday once again!
And finally this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUL5w91dzbo
If you love Goofy and his friends and family feel free to like or better yet reblog this. Happy Birthday Goofy!

OH MAN I am gonna go back to sleep immediately but I had a dream that I'm gonn put down before I forget
Flower wascursed by some witch to look like a monster and manipulated and set up by them to appear as if they're robbing the palace and attempted to hurt their at the time sick mother
Then the witch got PK and some guards and PK couldn't recognise them nor understood what they were saying / just didn't hear them out so they had to run away or he'd kill them
I think it'd be like a SUPER fun basis for a medieval style AU

Walt Disney did a cartoon with Hitler in it, you know. So we all did something about the war [in film]. But we didn't think these shorts would live on from then. They'd appear now and you can't use them. Because, we figured they'd be good for a couple of weeks [...] They were like newsreels at that time.
