Plea for Help in Evil Times
To the choirmaster: according to The Sheminith. A Psalm of David.
1 Save, O Jehovah; for the faithful man is no more, / For the trustworthy have vanished from among the sons of men.
2 Each man speaks falsehood with his neighbor; / With flattering lips and a double heart they speak.
3 May Jehovah cut off all the flattering lips, / The tongue speaking great things,
4 Those who said, With our tongue we will prevail; / Our lips are our own: Who is our lord?
5 Because of the devastation of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, / I will now arise, says Jehovah; / I will set him in the safety that he longs for.
6 The words of Jehovah are pure words, / Silver refined in a furnace on the earth, / Purified seven times.
7 You, O Jehovah, will keep them; / You will guard them from this generation forever.
8 The wicked go about all around, / While vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

Jacob to Jeshurun: Israel's struggles a model for Christians
From Jacob to Jeshurun, the Jews model our path to Righteousness.
Jacob to Jeshurun, a beautiful picture of the Gospel story is hidden within a little-known name change. Whenever a key figure in the biblical narrative had his name changed, it was always significant. Both to him and the broader message of the unfolding story of God’s redemptive plan of righteousness. Probably the most notable name…

Injured and trying to hide after a fight with GIW, Danny has to overshadow the first person he sees. Because of how weak he is at the moment, overshadowing doesn't work as usual, and he's just a voice in the guy's head, no actual control over the body. The person he overshadowed? Billy Batson.
Yes, it's divine twitch chat au. Billy probably doesn't even notice a new voice for some time. Danny is very confused because there are just so many people in there and they're gods and who the hell did he possess???

I should get an award for my restraint in not automatically blocking people who say things like "I hate paladins, they suck so much, they're the worst class bc their vibes are so bad" on my posts that even just mention paladins.
RIP that you and most people do not understand paladins as a class and do not understand that their narrative is not just "stick in the mud who loves being a cop", but I'm different and I think they're incredible and they're one of the classes with the best inherent narrative

Lucifer, as he once was
As a seraph, Lucifer was always consumed by the fire of divine love, yet his devotion ran so deep even his insides were devoured in flames. He was God's first creation, and so became His assistant in forming the primordial chaos which later evolved into his role as Prince of Angels. However, Lucifer was soon rejected from Heaven for his rebellion against God's rule - the narrative would see him twisted into a prideful and arrogant traitor, yet in truth Lucifer had only refused to accept Hell as a part of an all-good creation due to its inherent cruelty. For calling God's Goodness into question, Lucifer became the first resident of the very prison he opposed and resides there still, in one form or another.

On the Lam(b) (Genesis 31:1-21)
Some changes and moves we deem as good, and others, not so much. Yet, whether good or bad, any switch or shift in life can be difficult to cope with.
Jacob Flees Laban, illustration from Bible Pictures and What They Teach Us, by Charles Foster, 1897
Jacob heard that Laban’s sons were complaining, “Jacob is now a rich man, and he got everything he owns from our father.” Jacob also noticed that Laban was not as friendly as he had been before. One day the Lord said, “Jacob, go back to your relatives in the land of your ancestors, and I will be…

tonight has been such a great show of how the fans see c!Dream. the language surrounding him is dehumanizing, in the story, he is the book, he is kept in a vault, he is a monster - c!Q and c!Sam are seconds from calling him it, and the fandom reflects so many of these views. he is not a person with feelings, he is a monster, a predator stalking its prey, an obssessed beast. not human, never human with his very own motivations and goals and dreams who plans for something more. he never wans things for a reason that could not be seen as selfish desire, he is evil personified.
but the moment the language around him, by others in the story, the people who hold power over him reflect the lack of humanity that he should be granted, suddenly it is impossible to strip him of this human side. no, he cannot be in a vault, vault is for objects (like the revive book that everyone sees him as).
he is granted only as much humanity as people think he deserves to be punished further
