Pile 1: The star

Hi, thank you for trusting me as your reader!

Before I begin, I'd like to make a small disclaimer: I don't personally believe in the idea of "romantic soulmates" in the sense that a person is destined to be with you forever. This can lead to dangerous dynamics in relationships. In addition, I think that the best way to know what someone thinks of you, especially if you are interested in being with them long-term... is by asking them!

I have thus modified your question a bit: how does your relationship dynamic, especially romantic-wise, look like?

I pulled The Star Reversed for this question.

Upright, The Star is all about hope, optimism, and a youthful outlook on life. In its reversed position, however, it conveys a message of hopelessness, weakness, impotence, and perhaps also fear. I would then say that your relationship does not seem to be on a good path. But why?

As a Major Arcana card, The Star is part of what is known as "The Fool's Journey", the story that the Major Arcana cards tell in order. The Star is the part of the journey where, after a period of chaos, despair, and confusion (The Tower), a newly gained optimism is found, thus helping the Fool gain courage to embark on a journey to the deepest parts of their subconscious (The Moon). Thus, The Star, with its bright attributes and flowing reneweal of energy and creativity, now appears in its reversed position, meaning that this positive energy is blocked, stuck.

Are you having trouble moving on from an unpleasant situation that has shaken up your life? A past relationship, perhaps?

Have you considered that, perhaps, it is time to move on to a different stage in life, maybe one in which you don't focus so much on what others' perceptions of you are, or whether you're bound to be with a specific person, but rather a stage where you look inwards and learn to cohabitate with yourself?

This card tells me that it is not the time to worry about your relationship with this person, at least on romantic terms; it can also indicate a relationship which will overall turn out to be negative, with one or both members thinking pessimistically about its outcome.

I would advise you to look at this situation from a different perspective.
