I am so incredibly NORMAL about jimmy “kicked out of the horn club, but still blows his horn” solidarity and tango “spent half an hour getting a horn for his soulmate and responds to his lone signal” tek being the only two having the same horn that they got together, both of which are meant to be a reply to a call that refuses to acknowledge them, so they will acknowledge each other, and jimmy blowing his horn in victory and hearing nobody else’s but tango and going “there’s tango!” and tango who responded going “there’s my buddy, he’s coming home”, and tango calming down from his rage to respond to jimmy’s horn call because it’s jimmy and no one else respond, so he’s gotta respond, and its the two of them finding each other in death and jimmy praising tango’s building, and tango praising jimmy’s cows, and its the two standing together agreeing that they may need to beg but it’s ok “because i have you” and its about them supporting each other, despite jimmy being an omen of death, despite tango being an all consuming inferno, and its about team ranchers, about the canary and the coal mine, about two guys who are so incredibly poor and riddled in misfortune, but they are happy anyways, and i just want them to win, and i know they probably won’t, but it won’t stop me from hoping anyway.

Broke: Tango is reincarnated into Empires SMP as a rancher or a spaceman or something and him and Jimmy fall in love again

Woke: Tango, Jimmy, and everyone else return to their respective servers after DL with no memory of their time there, except Tango slowly starts to remember the dumb canary boy with a heart of gold and a temper to match his own, so he leaves Hermitcraft in search for him and then ends up at Empires SMP where he stumbled upon Tumble Town except Jimmy has no idea of who he is and just thinks he’s a confused wanderer who ended up by his empire so he invites him to stay and Tango slowly falls in love with Jimmy again and Jimmy catches feelings a tiny bit himself and then they’re in the deep dark and Jimmy is being attacked by The Warden but Tango jumps in to the rescue and risks his own life to save Jimmy and that’s when Jimmy remembers all the events of DL and when they both are in a secure place because they made it out alive Jimmy scoops him up and swings him around in joy and they kiss and yes I’ve thought about this way too much

i care the ranchers very much so i made my own :] headcanons and design description below the cut

Tango: pretty straight forward. blazeborn/nether hybrid guy. he goes firey when hes got strong emotions.

Jimmy: phoenix hybrid, but instead of rebirth and rising from the ashes and all that he got the short end of the stick. the closest thing to a "cool phoenix power" hes got is he can handle heat better, doesnt burn as easy, and his wings cant be hurt by fire. Also his wings can burn up kind like paper, it can light things around him on fire but the wings have to fully regrow and it hurts EXTREMELY bad. so a person-sized flint and steel essentially. he doesnt want to deal with the teasing of being simultaneously a death omen and failed symbol of life (failure of his biology) so to anyone but tango he lets them think hes just a normal avian.

also theres just a lotta angst potential somewhere in there. i just care them so much and if they wont interact i will make my own content.
