I've been making maps for a while now, and I realized that I haven't made a tavern or inn yet! In my experience, most campaigns start and end in a tavern of some sort.

So here is my contribution to the internet’s endless archive of tavern battlemaps— The Roadside Inn.

For VTT users, specifics include:

Greetings!

Long ago a hard-fought battle took place here. A group of heroes from all over the the world teamed up to take down a massive colossus animated with ancient magic.

The heroes were victorious and the colossus fell. Over the centuries the landscape changed, but the remains of the giant construct still serve as a remainder of how those heroes of old saved the kingdom.

Still, anyone evil enough and knowledgeable enough can reanimate the stone giant once more to wreak havoc across the land.

Will these rookie adventurers be able to put a stop to those plans? Or will the colossus eventually destroy everything across its path?

Nature is beautiful, and there's nothing quite like taking your caravan of goods from city to city all the while taking in some splendid sights: rivers, mountains and all kinds of forests.

It's too bad then that highway robberies are all the rage among lollygagging aficionados. It's true, no one can enjoy these vistas without someone trying to steal everything you have and more.

Good thing this caravan is full of seasoned warriors!

The creature tokens for this map are a Blood Feasting Beast, a Crow Demon and a Thieving Fairy. Emerald tier gets Crow Demon while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.

This year's present for my DnD party: drew them a proper map of the continent we are playing on! Game is all homebrew and has been going for years~ < 3

It's my first time drawing a map like that - I've used some generated continent with labels and rivers drawn on it for years now. It was extremely rewarding to label and fit everything together. Kinda want to do the other continents now...

Fey Tavern

Tucked away in a wild forest is this enchanting tavern, a place where the senses are energized and the body is nourished.

This tavern is ran exclusively by Fey creatures, who delight in meeting new guests and treating them with delicious food, hot steamy baths, and warm beds, all free of charge.

However, there is a catch. Once someone enters this tavern…they don’t feel like leaving.

Greetings!

There's a city far to the west where the sands of time immemorial cover everything as far as the eye can see. In this beacon of civilization there's an exotic market where people from all over the Known World come over to acquire rare items of great value for the discerning customer.

Then again, there are also those who sell nothing but snake oil. Adventurers have to be very careful not to be deceived by those individuals who would like nothing more than to scam them from their hard-earned gold.

Oh, and did I not mention there are many chases through the streets because of this? Jumping from rooftop to rooftop trying to catch the slimy crook who just sold the party a magical deck of cards that turned out to be not so magical after all.

Can our heroes get a good deal on some exotic magical items? Or will they end up with a magical lamp that's only good for decorating their backpack?

Hello, everyone!

The battle is won. The giant sand-worm has finally been defeated, and your players are about to celebrate their well-earned victory.

But their cheering is cut short when an ambush of scavengers enters the scene. The group barely has any time to react, they're being attacked left and right.

The scavengers are already gathering the sand-worm's chitin for their wasteland armors, and some of the tired heroes are already being taken hostage, should the other ones want to intervene.

Let's hope the party can get out of this bind as well!

The creature tokens for this map are a Coyote, a Giant Scorpion and a Giant Worm. Emerald tier gets the Giant Scorpion while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.

Essek’s Estate has come up in the show, but has never actually been seen except in theatre of mind. I’ve created maps based on Matt’s descriptions and my own interpretations - with a bit of flair! 

Feel free to download and use them for non-commercial games! Our group of friends got together and made a party consisting entirely of Essek Thelyss’ staff, who then had to survive the horrors of.... working for the legendary Shadowhand! 👀 It can’t be THAT hard, right? Just a bit of political intrigue.... 

(Maybe I’ll write up the adventure and publish it someday....)
