I have a really important question, how do you feel about your art being used in edits ? And I don’t mean taking your whole amv/pmv and changing the audio , I mean taking a few clips here and there, I want to make sure I’m not crossing any boundaries or anyone else

honestly ive been goin a lil back and forth for a while on how i feel about it; at the moment ive kinda been like i dont really like it but i also dont rlly care enough for it to actually make me uncomfortable/upset ? and then i think maybe i should just let ppl use it for edits if they dont bother me Too much idk... jin doesnt WANT to stop kagerou project. its more like he was forced to. i dont know all that much about it, but he's basically in copyright jail -> cant do anything abt kagepro until he clears out legal stuff with it. i think rn kagepro belongs to a mobile game company or something LOLLLL i knew of this back in 2019 or something but i really had thought it had cleared out... it didnt. apparently it's been a problem ever since the anime released and rly sealed off in 2018 with the release of the last album. that's all i know

basic timeline of events:

-1979 fredbears opens. moderately popular

1981 charlie (4) goes missing, and “is found” about a year later. henry pretty much abandons fredbears for a new project (charlie, but then freddys)

1983 bite of 83. crying child (8) dies and michael (15) is completely and thoroughly fucked up about it. fredbears is “temporarily closed” but is never reopened

1984 freddy fazbears family pizza place (pre fnaf 2) opens

1985 missing children incident, over the span of about 2 months. closes a month later

-1986 elizabeth goes missing publically. circus baby, wills passion project, kills her. and all. in his own workshop though. he manages to cover it up as a runaway.

-1987 the NEW freddy fazbears pizza! (fnaf 2) opens :D surely this will go great.

1987 like a month later bite of 87. mangle bites the frontal lobe of the night guard (you know him. jeremy). immediately closes.

-1988 wills wife leaves him fucking finally

-1989 freddy fazbear pizza opens finally! this one is actually probably gonna be fine

roxy (0) is born! michael (20) had this girlfriend he thought he was gonna spend his whole life with and she got pregnant! but she didnt want it. but he did. so um its all his. great.

-1991 circus babys pizza world opens :) genuinely pretty normal also the whole child murder robot thing doesnt come up like almost ever. until! it does!

1993 freddys closes to focus circus babys much more advanced animatronics

1999 roxy (10) dies. um she got eaten (yknow) by funtime freddy see she wasnt allowed near the animatronics (wow sounds familiar) but she somehow ends up in the room and decides. well hes silly. and well. BUT DOES SHE DIE REALLY??????

1999 michael in the search for what the fuck happened there gets in the sister location game predicament where he. fucking dies kinda but hes okay dw hes just ourple and pretty much just skin and spite. circus baby closes. bc. the animatronics are gone

-2009 the brand new freddy fazbears pizza opens!!! (its just called freddy fazbears pizza) its great it does not have animatronics its human actors :D to dispel any controversies yknow :) this is where the story is set. :)

maxwell dalton works at freddys currently! he is a mechanic and works in the basement cleaning and repairing all the old animatronics. the idea is that maybe with the right modifications and such they can open MORE restaurants with animatronics. of course that isnt going to happen. but william is a nostalgic man and he owns it. max is a weirdo freak that tries his best to be friendly likable and most importantly, trust worthy! he is very interested in the history of freddys and likes to talk about Fun Facts with his coworkers, like that fabric suited animatronics were made by henry but the plastic ones were will, and that chica was reportedly the first animatronic to start noticeably smelling bad and starting leaking some strange liquid by the time the restaurant closed. but max isnt just here bc he likes the animatronics, max is here bc spoilers max is roxy haha wow can you believe it did you see that one coming.

michael was a single father and will had a new kid in line to mess with so instead of just using his money to help michael raise his kid, he used his power over him to make him work at his restaurants and generously volunteered to take care of roxy while he was gone. in these times will decided roxy (who was starting to look more like will than michael did. but like a little girl.) would be his little mini me, but in order to be that they had to like the same things he liked. so he talked and talked about his own life and confessed to like. yknow murder and how awesome he found it to them. roxy didnt actually take this well and became very reserved and unhappy, and will doesnt take THAT and comes up with this epic plan.

see charlie. um died he knows this. he knows this for sure bc he killed her. personally. fortunately for him he realized this when it happened and managed to steal the plans for charlie. so. if henry can build a new daughter he can fix his granddaughter so he decides hes gonna kill them and fill them up with parts. he doesnt have the visual crafting skills of henry, but he does have. roxy. so he can just use their skin.

so he tricks them into the funtime auditorium, gets them snatched by funtime freddy, and then retrieves them before anyone could find them. unfortunately for him roxy is tall and chubby for a 10 year old, just like he was at their age, so theyre a bit. mangled. by the robot meant to grab average sized 5 year olds. but thats okay. he can fix them. and well roxy seems to be... alive again! but not as a robot in human skin but as human skin holding these robot parts in it. which sucks major ass and they immediately want to leave and get out of this absolutely terrible situation but they know as well as anyone else in town that william is well liked and nobody would believe them at all even a little bit. fortunately having. um. died. they can talk to ghosts. and one of the ghosts. charlie. knows that theres at least one person that would fully understand their situation: samuel emily WOAHH so roxy goes and finds him

roxy does make it to sammy (samuel baker his mothers name) in northern arizona and well. after being very confused and making various phone calls to his mother (he was 4. when everything happened to him and then his life was pretty normal otherwise) he decided to take in this weird fucked up little kid. of course um he couldnt tell anyone though its. illegal. probably. so he did his best to like kind of homeschool them and keep them happy. which involved supporting them through transition once they realized that. max is trans simon make a cis oc challenge (no).

so okay max becomes an adult and we’re back to the present of the story max decides to go back to hurricane to this new freddys restaurant and theyre trying to hire a mechanic for the animatronics very convenient because thats what mac wants is access to the animatronics. max has already heard the terrible shit will did so he wants to like. yknow some sort of. justice. or whatever and he knows theres ghosts in the robots bc he met them after having experimental surgery done in wills workshop. so he wants to go help. them. leave and stop being ghosts. and try to find ways to implicate will and get him like. not arrested the goal is to kill him in the end. remembered as a bad person. thered be no story if max just came in with a gun.

she works at freddys! as a mechanic also i just kinda wanted her around. she fixes the arcade machines theyve had for 25 years but she came in for max’s job and um. well max has it and doesnt let her see the animatronics so she kinda has beef with him but not really

michael also works at freddys!!!! he knows his dad is like a bad person who at least caused the death of elizabeth (but not really anyone else) and fucked up his daughter but will is the only living family member he has (as far as he knows) (his mom has passed. at this point) so like what the fuck is he going to do. so he tries to keep watch of things there and makes sure nothing goes on. he knows unless will is dead freddys is happening so hes trying to take hold of it and keep it safe.

where did the circus babys animatronics... go.

they separated into scrap baby and molten freddy. it was mostly babys idea and it didnt work at all so they were mad at her and kicked her out. ballora and foxy wanted to go home but freddy was scared what they would do to him (bc he had almost Just got roxy at that point) and didnt want to be alone so he kinda forced them in with him. they were eventually both recovered and shoved in the basement with all the other animatronics.

EDIT 2 (first edit in tags): the tweet in the OP has been deleted, so I'll be shutting down reblogs on this post just so people don't take the link as a solid source when it no longer exists. For context, the original link was from a content creator who'd emailed SAG-AFTRA about guidance surrounding promos, contracts, and influencers. The response from SAG-Aftra likely wasn't 100% detailed because things were still being figured out. As for more detailed questions such as what counts as an influencer and other really specific questions I've seen in the tags, that's not something I know. Maybe emailing SAG-AFTRA themselves will help, although I can't be sure.

If the original email or the FAQ were confusing to you, it's likely that it's because both were phrased in a way that would be understandable to people who'd be likely to scab, ie influencers under specific circumstances. It's not really geared toward the lay person (which is what the FAQ will make clear by their frequent use of "influencer").

Again, the notes (and frankly the original link itself) have some that this is about influencers specifically. I missed that keyword in the OP (typo). I need people to stop acting like I'm willfully fearmongering and spreading misinformation. I read the full thread. I read the entire FAQ. It's on you if you do neither. At the time of my reading the thread, the FAQ either hadn't been released yet or had just come out. I also need people to stop bringing up Neil Gaiman's Tumblr post when SAG-AFTRA has their own Official FAQ on their strike site.

For the FAQ, it's here. It's about influencers, both union and non-union. Iirc the non-union FAQ has some ways to help that non-influencers can also engage in, like using a hashtag or generally raising awareness.
