I was watching a John Oliver piece on North Korea when it suddenly hit me that, holy shit, if we get nuked that’s fucking it. Everything I’ve planned for myself, all my goals, all my friends and family, all of that goes up in smoke.

That was also the first time I’ve prayed in quite some time.

To a certain extent, yes. But they also don’t determine your worth as a person.
