I know my username might be deceiving but my blog is only named this because I’m ashamed of myself for making it!! Not trying to shame the lovely people who fill the tags and share their passion for the ship.

I don’t like labels and I tend to stray away from sharing the few I do have, but if you can’t separate fiction from reality you probably shouldn’t be consuming it in the first place or you’re not old enough to be on this blog rn, so block me and give yourself some peace if SpyScout and the like triggers you.

I tend to err more on the non-incestuous version of the ship but if you do ship it with that element then I won’t bash you for it, everyone has their own preferences and personal AUs in their head and I respect that tons.

If you must refer to me, call me Scoot. Outside of that, no pronouns outside of you and your.

Can’t promise I’ll be too active on this blog but enjoy your stay. I appreciate any engagement but really I’m happy if you take time out of your day just to scroll. Given how universally shunned the ship is, I don’t post for notes, but rather out of passion for the characters and the people who feel the same, albeit silently.

Mixed bag here, y'all learn the rules and learn about me.

About me first:

As said, my name is Moth, and Team Fortress 2 has been a fixation of mine for around a year and a half or so. (I thank @comet-wire for getting me into TF2 via the comics and somehow giving me one of my biggest reoccurring fixations.)

For a while I was utilizing the comics and wiki pages to get info behind lore and the game, as well as gameplays, but lately I've been able to start playing the game! I've mostly been playing Offense but I'm trying to expand to Defense and Support.

This blog is gonna feature my OCs, as well as possible OC x Canon content. So, if you aren't into either, you can scroll and don't have to interact with my blog.

There'll be a point where I upload art on here too, but I don't know when that'll be, namely for art of canon characters. (You shaped bastards.)

I'm going anon for this simply because I don't want to be part of this.

But what that guy said to you about the spyscout thing was vile. That ask was honestly pretty cruel and you definitely didn't deserve such a violent response like that.

But, I will have agree with one thing they said. I do find it really disturbing that you are willing to ship or share ship stuff involving spyscout. I understand that you're talking about a totally different era of this fandom. I really do get that. I've been on TF2 blogs that haven't been active since 2013. The amount of freely posted spyscout ship art is kind of high. Even back then, it was viewed as kind of a weird ship that not many people liked because of the age gap. But with that comic coming out and outright stating that yes, Spy is Scout's real dad. It's definitely not something viewed as acceptable anymore.

I'm not going to tell you to stop interacting with other blogs. I'm not going to tell you to leave the internet or get cancelled. I'm not going to tell you that you're suddenly a horrible human being for participating in spyscout content. Why? Because that's really not the way to go with these things. You didn't, like, kill a cat or something. You reblogged and talked about some controversial stuff.

What I will tell you is that I'm definitely disappointed to see you doing this stuff. I'm bothered by it. I'll probably be avoiding your blog for a little while, especially the spyscout stuff.

I thank you for being polite and honest to yours words. Also, I can also understand what you mean so I can understand why. Now that is canon, it's fair enough to say why without further reasoning.

I am sorry if I disturb you and others who are not fond of the ship so I'll limit or cease reblogging it as a ship and instead reblog dad spy content only as usual. This choice is not to simply please others but to say 'Alright it's disrespectful, let's stop it.'

i only really got into this fandom at the end of last year (2020), and even then when i didn't know that Scout and Spy were biologically related, i didn't ship them. i mean, i understand that before it was revealed they were father and son, people might have shipped it.

i myself tend to go over a lot of things when i get into a new fandom, cause i don't wanna be Star Wars'd like with Luke and Leia (im not a SW fan, btw, just using it for reference)
