The older man bangs his head on the metal shelf, cursing under his breath. "Hi, honey. Sorry for the mess, I lost the manual for the vintage Harley over there and I can't remember what kind of bolt it takes."

"It's over there in the top left drawer of your desk. You put it there when you didn't want to lose it last time." 

"And it's not there, did someone move it? Did I rearrange my desk?"

"I honestly don't know," Tony sighs, turning back into the cupboard, "Um, Tony..." Peter tries, attempting to reroute the conversation, "I found something in our room... I was wondering if you knew where it came from?" 

"The outfit on our bed? I got it for you," the man replies, head still deep inside the cupboard. 

"But Tony, it's--" 

"I know, I thought you might like something different. You mentioned liking things like that in our conversation the other day. Did you not mean skirts?"

"No, no I did. I just didn't expect you to have found one so quickly. What if I don't look good in it?"

Would you maybe be willing to go over the process of tagging on ao3? I've never used it before so I can figure out most of it but the entire posting process is new to me

Of course! 

If you don’t mind, I’m just going to cover all of it, because you aren’t the first person to ask this. 

So- tagging! 

In simple terms, tags have the same purpose on AO3 that they do on Tumblr. They’re to inform you of the content, summarize and warn, and to help organize the search system. They can be complicated, and daunting, but can also be largely unique if one so chooses. I’ll explain how in a minute! 

By adding a tag, you are inserting your work into a list, or a system, of other works that fall under the same category. For example: if you are writing a Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski work, and you tag that relationship, the work will show up when you search that relationship. It’s one of AO3’s best features, and a way an author can gain popularity in a fandom. 

Now, starting at the top of your AO3 form, we have the rating. Now, I like to think of your rating as a movie rating. Everyone has a little bit of a different view on these, but for our collective purpose of explanations, let’s use this standard guide. 

The first one is general audiences. This is a PG rated movie. Minimal language, some sexual and adult jokes that might fly over someone’s head, and little to no violence. You would let your 11yo cousin read this fic and not be concerned. 

The next is teen and up audiences. This is your PG-13, TV-14. We’ve got curses going around, but not all of them. Sexual jokes, light sexual content that probably doesn’t go very far. If there’s violence, it’s Marvel movie, see blood but no gore style. 

Mature is where things get interesting. Say whatever you want, have the smut scenes, and shoot outs in the alleyways. Children aren’t allowed into this R-rated movie, but we all know it’s for the 15+ girlies who are reading on their computers in the dark. 

And explicit is anything goes, basically. If you’re reading an explicit fic, and you get surprised by what you see, that’s a you problem. ‘Tis the smuttiest of the smut, the most hardcore violence and angst, and characters run rampant in their actions and words. 

And then we have the warnings! These are what I consider to be the most important, because a lot of these things are triggers. It’s pretty self-explanatory, as you can pick and choose anything that applies. 

Fandoms is also pretty self-explanatory. You use AO3’s list of fandoms, and click whatever fandom you’re writing for. For this exchange, you would type Newsies, and select the options and forms of the show you took inspiration from. 

Categories is more confusing, I think, primarily because one can never decide if you want to click every button that applies, or just the important ones. In my personal experiences, I tend to just click whatever option represents the main ship I’m writing for, and then make sure I tag anything that doesn’t fit that category in the relationships tags. You are definitely free to select everything, though!

Relationships is pretty important, just for information purposes. Most people search AO3 through specific relationships they want to read, and so I make sure to tag everything I can, just for algorithm and accessibility reasons. You can tag the romantic relationships (the ones with the / between the two character names), platonic relationships (the ones with the & between the character names), and everything in between, depending on how you want your fic viewed, and how you want it sorted in the tagging system (by this, I mean if you want it put in the list of ‘x’ (ex. Harley Keener/Peter Parker) works, falling under a specific tag). And if you want viewers to be aware of the different relationships, especially the romantic and platonic ones, always double check that you have selected the right tag (again, for romantic there’s a /, and for platonic there’s a &).

Characters are also important, but I want to stress that you do not need to tag all of the character that appear in your fics. I would simply tag the ones the work focuses around, or that have an impact on the story. It will take you forever to tag everyone if you’re writing a longer story. 

Additional tags is another very confusing thing. A lot of people view them as similar to Tumblr tags, like I said earlier, and this is where you can have some originality, like the Tumblr tags. When I am adding additional tags, I will read the story as I tag it, and make sure I add tags that apply to the important bits. You can keep it professional, with just the tags that will help get you more readers, and trigger warnings; or you can have fun with it, and simply put your thoughts about the work there, as another summary; or you can do a mixture of both. I do a mixture, and will add tags that add the work to popular searches, and add a running commentary/summary as I do so. This part is completely up to you, and you can explore what you want to put by typing random letters or names (things will pop up by either most common or alphabetical order, depending on what you’re typing) into the search bar, just to see what shows. My main suggestion- and pretty steadfast requirement for this exchange- is that you make sure you have a tag for plot points that might be triggering for some. Other than that, the world is your oyster!

(um... ok, they're not bad fics, but they're all super old. the fact that they're my top five is due to age more than anything else. I was a semi-popular writer in the height of the Iron Dad fandom's activity. My writing has significantly improved since these were written, so if you've read my most recent work and decide to go back and give these a try, just keep that in mind 😂 most of them are five years old.)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Almost always! There are a couple of unfinished fics that I ended up turning off the comments for, though, because I don't plan to finish them, and I kept getting comments on them that are written with the best intentions but come off as discouraging and kind of obnoxious instead - "update when?" "i know this is a longshot but please update" "it's been two years, will you ever update?" Aside from those, I do try to answer every single comment that comes to my inbox.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Um... I don't really write angsty endings 😂 "I Will Soften Every Edge (I'll Do Better)" is probably as close as it gets? It's not pure angst, but it's not pure fluff, either. "Oh, Little One, You Just Need to be Brave" is another kind of vaguely hurt/comfort angst-adjacent ending, I guess, but please don't read that one 😂 the only reason I haven't deleted it is because I know how frustrating it is when authors delete stuff.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Maybe "Baby's Firsts" or "Before, After, and Beyond"? Like I said, angsty endings are hard to come by in my fics, but if you want pure fluff...

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nah. I've gotten a couple of comments that were confused by something and asked for clarification, but they were very polite about it.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

LOL, no 😂 I'm comfortable talking about it, but I don't think I'd ever write it myself.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve ever written?

I used to write wild crossovers all the time when I was a little kid just learning how writing works for the first time 😂 I don't write them so much, anymore, it's not really my thing, but I think one time when I was a kid I wrote a Harry Potter/American Girl crossover? 😂

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yeah, actually! Or, at least part of one. Someone translated two chapters of "Before, After, and Beyond" into Russian. I think they forgot to translate the third? It was still pretty cool, either way.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yeah, a couple times. I've taken my name off the published ones, but I'm working on another project with a bunch of people from the Brownstone server, at the moment, and I'm super excited about it!

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

At the moment? FirstPrince. It changes depending on my current hyperfixation, but Alex and Henry are my #1 right now.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Ugh. Probably the birthday fic in my "Tony Stark adopts Harley Keener and Peter Parker" AU. I've just completely run out of steam on anything Marvel-related, and I feel bad about it, but there's not a lot I can do. My mood completely plummets whenever I try to sit down and make myself work on any of my old Marvel WIPs, so I've just been giving myself some grace and telling myself that if I never finish them, it's okay.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Ooh, I don't really think about this very much. I feel like I'd need an outside opinion 😂 I've been told by several different people that I'm good at nailing characterizations, which always makes me pretty proud of myself, haha. Every time I get a "this is so in character!" comment I puff up like a peacock 😂

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions, maybe? I can do them, but I feel like they've never quite as interesting as they could be.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I love multilinguism in fics! It's a little intimidating for me personally, because I never quite managed to grasp a second language myself, so I have to rely heavily on translators and asking people who speak the language "hey, does this make any sense?" but especially when I'm writing Alex and his family in RWRB fics, their bilinguism is so important and I don't want to skip it just because I'm scared, so I'm willing to put in a little extra work to make it more authentic.

19. First fandom you ever wrote for?

Well, technically, if we're talking about writing that never even got published, the very first fanfic I ever wrote back when I was probably around six years old was a Harry Potter self-insert 😂 But my first published fic was for the MCU.

Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Allie, I’m a 20F who loves to read, write, learn, and roleplay! I, of course do other things, like college amongst other things! I’m fairly active, though, it depends on how much stress I’m under, but I usually will reply once a week (though, I’m sure I will reply a lot more than that! I do have two different time zones depending where I am, though, it’s not a huge difference. If I am at college, it’s EST and when I’m home it’s CST.

Rules

I will NOT roleplay with anyone under the age of 18, no exceptions, even if there is no smut involved. It’s just a preference for me!

I do not roleplay well in doubles, nor do I like roleplaying with OC’s unless it’s an OC X OC roleplay (which is extremely rare for me.) I can thank all the female Spencer Reid OC’s for my dislike of both doubling and OC’s. (I know people do have very well developed OC’s, I just haven’t had any of those 🫠)

Please let me know if you’re ever getting bored with the roleplay, or if you’re simply not interested anymore. I don’t really get upset, I may be sad, but I will NEVER guilt you for needing to leave or losing interest. The same goes for taking a break!

Please be understanding and have patience. I understand that you have a life outside of roleplaying and I do too. If I haven’t heard back from you in a while or vise versa, I’ll just shoot you a message about if you’re still interested.

I quite throughly enjoy talking outside roleplay and making friends with the people that I talk to.

I do tend to get very excited and will definitely show you songs, photos, headcanons, etc about whatever fandom we are roleplaying, please be okay with that!

I love coming up with plot points together, planning is a huge thing for me, even if we’re already started and talking about the next major point in the story!

I don’t mind having smut in roleplays, however, I don’t like for it to be the main focus and occasionally, I won’t be in the mood to write it and will ask to skip over it

I prefer to write on discord, just because I really like the features on there.

Hi! Welcome to my blog! I'm Nori, and I don't do much here! This blog is mainly for my non otome game interests! My blog for otome game stuff is called @mcofthemansion! (Although I don't post much of my own stuff since I'm going through a thing about how I feel about my writing) Anyways!

So! I'm 20 and currently doing my bachelor's for early childhood education! It's a lot of work and I'm always exhausted but I do like it!!!

• Writing (however, I'm going through a thing about it, so I'm not feeling up to doing requests right now... but if you send me a suggestion that really REALLY makes me excited then I'll post it! I'll be really fickle about posting writing though!)

• Sewing (I make tiny chibi character plushies and maybe small animals!)

• Games (mostly otome games, but that's all on my other blog! I do, however, also enjoy pokemon games and visual novel games like Ace Attorney and Dangenronpa, I'm also attempting Zelda breath of the wild but I'm still deciding how I feel about it since it's really different then games I usually play!)

And I do have an oc for Tmnt named Kaede! She's human and sincerely sucks at fighting, but I love her! I have different variations of her depending on the version!

With my personality I struggle to actually see myself in the universe since I'm not as ethereal or impressive as any of them 😅

But I'm fond of the fanon ship of Bagginsheild and I love dwarven culture! I don't know why I just do!

I do have an oc named Islyn and she has a really complicated story that I'm not getting into rn! But I personally ship her with Glorfindel! (I don't usually like elves as much as dwarves but Glorfindel just kind of somehow became special to me! I guess I also like Elrond too but Glorfindel is #1)

But I've played every game since soulsilver and heartgold and watched the anime too!!!

Another character I like a lot is Colress from Unova!!! I just like him!!! My oc Kyrene is interested in him!

The Supreme fam (Stephen, Tony, Peter, Morgan, Harley, America) is my found family and my comfort when things just aren't great at home

So...since the MCU established that there's a multiverse...here's my sort of my world for these existing characters!

Ok, um, here's some of the ships I wish to be included if possible: Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy, Captain America/Black Widow, Peter Parker/MJ, Richard Grayson/Barbara Gordon. These four, that's all! Um, here's another crazy idea that you can play if you want or not: reader's being Tony Stark/Iron Man's daughter which they know each other's existence but are not really closed, only meet up a daily few days a month for a brunch cos Morgan likes her big sister very much even though they're only half-related and that Pepper doesn't mind it as she rather adores reader too.

Here's a idea of how reader and Tony knows each other:

Reader found out her mother (who's alr married to a rich man) tried to fake her blood test into her step-sister name so that she can rose her fame as a newbie celebrity by letting Tony acknowledged her

Reader aren't very that closed with her step-father, but she knows well that he's been looking after her secretly and that he'd be very angry if he knows what his wife and daughter trying to do

Out of gratitude and her own selfishness that she doesn't want others to know so she can live in peace, she take matters in her hands herself and meet up with Tony and Pepper to tell them this

At first, Tony was skeptical but after he found out he did slept with a woman like years ago before he began to accept the truth, but that doesn't mean he will like to know reader though

Reader's okay with it since she's adult and that she can take care of herself (by the time she and Tony know each other, she's already 27 when Morgan's 9), they then agree to meet up once a month as Pepper request it

So, yeah, reader's mother's plan didn't work and that everything is keep in dark since nothing happens, the only thing is that reader officially cut off her ties with her mother and stepsister, and that she change her name and surname to what she likes

Tony's the type of guy like: I just want to have fun, but I also need to take all the responsibility that happens due to me

So yeah, the entire Avengers do know reader cos Tony tell them to help look out even though he excuse them with "Cos I don't want another trouble" deep down they and Pepper know well he's actually worried about what would ever happen to reader

You can see reader is very amused when she learnt that MJ, Peter Parker & Ned who's her pottery workshop's customer were actually her bodyguard (reader can have any occupation, I just think she'd be her own boss rather than being under someone, pottery is very satisfying even though your hands can take a long time to clean🤣🤣) oh, also Nebula & Rocket, who she's even more amused to see the talking raccoon and a hot blue alien the first time they walk in her workshop

Her relationship with Tony is very alike as they can be really sarcastic, so... yeah, even though she didn't admit, reader kinda likes Tony and feels it's more personal as he's indeed her father, which goes the same as Tony

So, by the time they grew closer, Tony would find excuse to get reader home (which Pepper would tease him and that Morgan gets excited everytime she gets to see her older sister) or just go into her workshop whenever with the Avengers or the other Heroes for 'bonding session' even though he just abandoned them as soon as he arrives to help reader to pack the order she received

You can see a bunch of superhero is just there to pack orders and chatting as the reader keeps on making pottery, some of it even learns how to make while just observing reader as she teaches them

Reader never really call Tony dad before, but she did told them she's married and that she made Tony promised to not ever try to find out who's her husband is, and surprisingly, Tony didn't try and he wouldn't let others to do so either

So, you can imagine how shocked he is when he spot reader suddenly shows up in the Wayne manor and rushes to Jason after snapping

And reader is a bit mortified and tried to act normal, but... Tony freaks out and go to protective father mode as soon as the reader called him Dad for the first time, and that he immediately say "Don't you apologize when you call me that" to the reader who's about to freak out more as she reliazed what she had said. He also look at Jason with disapproval glance as Jason was just amused as he can see the warning like "Get your hands off my daughter, young man" etc. when he's still hugging reader who's hiding in his arms

Yep, a total chaos

Currently playing Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

There is no third semester in Persona 5. Which just means I have yet to finish P5R because I'm too lazy to play the vanilla segment all over again.

I played P3P (both MC and FeMC routes), P4G, and vanilla P5. My favorite and first game is P5 but I will cry over P3 at the drop of a hat. P4 is my least fave and no, I did not forget and will play SMT:P, P2:IS, and P2:EP soon.

That was a lot of fun this is really Dave and he's got massive attitude just like the time of year Tommy f and we're learning that it's the max and we know about it and the code is coming out and the iron Cross is helping me pizza and these Harley Davidsons we got all these Harley-Davidson bikes they're taking the parts off and putting on Harley frames we had a bunch of them and some parts and we are figuring out something you look really odd was a lot more engine and we need a real engines and we're getting our s&s going they're too expensive and stuff but we're making tons of them and Harley-Davidson engines too hard to make

SMS makes a nice motor and it's a little bit better than the Harley motor and they know it too a little bit they're more reliable and they don't break down and they don't sputter as much and it's a much cleaner acceleration and when you blow it out it's much smoother and it is better it's a better motor it's probably 25% better and the metal is better they're making a ton of them and the price is going to plummet cuz they need to get them to their people right now they're talking about $2,000 a motor and it was about 8:00 now it's going on and our son and daughter said it was and they're right they say and there's a pretty big about the same size and they're not that light feel a little lighter but because the transmission is not so huge it's about a hundred pounds less it's a little easier to drive ride but they're going to run into it that they just can't make these motors enough and people are going to be at them and here's like the name s&s but we don't have anything we're going to have to piggie you back because everybody wants them when they're going to get beat to hell and close the doors again
