Honestly, every time i think about Area77 it’s just insanely funny to me that two people who desided to contain “paranormal” stuff on the server are Scar “Vex who eats people” Goodtimes and Doc “Killed god and lost an arm to him” M77. Like, im sorry gentlemen, YOU should be contained
Hi hi HIIIII! It’s two days til con left and I came here to show rest of hermitstickers! Sadly that’s all from new ones, I wanted to make more, but I run out of time and energy. I will come back to that idea later!
Here have all of the hermits as a treat on tall towers! (click on for better quality)
Also!! I actually made a timelapse! It’s not the best one I ever made (because it’s the first one XD) but it was pleasant to watch how al of the stuff appears on the canvas. Bless ClipStudioPain for that feature uwu.
Doc has the world eater and Cub has grinding, both completely mad in their way, but I want to point out that Pearl has an advantage in the diamond race that is, by the time her pillar gets close enough to the ground to get griefed, it would probably be too late to grief it
Like we don't know how far this could go being grief proof might be a game changer
Ok im partly through Mumbo 's episode and just. Thinking about Tubbo's reaction to Doc's worldeater. somewhere between incredibly impressed (bc the kid HAS been trying to make nukes) and abject horror (bc Doomsday flashbacks)
It would have to be explained to Tubbo why Doc would even build one of those on a server as peaceful as HC. Like don't get me wrong he definitely sees a world eater's usefulness because it's pretty much just a weapon of mass destruction and Tubbo has a few of those himself. But like, they don't do wars on HC like they do on DSMP. Either way, were it not for the fact he already figured out how to build nuclear bombs on his own Tubbo might ask Doc to give him the blueprints or whatever. (Maybe he would ask anyway.)
But digging a really big fucking hole really fast is pretty sick too. It's oddly satisfying to watch in a way he didn't really expect: just a simple, repetitive motion with a sound to match, neatly contained within its perimeter. It's terrifying, but it's also kind of beautiful. And mostly safe! Which is nice. He likes not getting exploded, generally.
Sidenote: Tubbo and Doc would talk bombs together. Tubbo's proud of what he's figured out on his own and it would be nice to share that with someone who would understand what he's talking about when he explains the process of building the nukes. Plus Doc has some wicked (as in, awesome and also evil) advice to contribute too.
"Quickly, of course, shouting out the thumbnail artist of today- nah, that sounds not right. The ARTIST, of today: FallytheCat. Yeah, you hear that name before, check out all the links in the video description, check out this amazing artwork, I just love it. Yeah, you know, it's getting really really really really hard to make a choice for what is the next thumbnail for the episodes. I mean it's a good problem to have, I suppose.
So you artists out there, you know, always keep your eyes peeled, you know, even if your fanart might be posted a few weeks back or so, I might try to reach out to you, right? Don't forget about that. I appreciate each and every one of your amazing artpieces, it just makes my day, every day, and then, you know, having them in the thumbnails like that is even- you know, immortalized like that."
Doctor "Respect Artists" Monster Seventy-Seven, everybody
“Alright,” Jevin says, “now you just have to give the egg basket back.”
Grian stares at him with big, black, soulful eyes, and holds the basket closer to himself. “...give... you... the eggs...?”
Jevin closes his eyes and mentally counts to five before opening them again. “Yeah. That was the point of the game, right? Collect the eggs and then give them back to prove you’d found them.”
Grian continues to stare.
“So you hand me the basket...”
“Are... are you keeping an eye on them?” Grian asks.
“Keeping an eye on the eggs.”
“Well, it’s a dangerous world out there,” Grian says. “You never know when some maniac with TNT might show up. Probably best to just keep these in my ne- base. Keep these in my base.”
“A maniac with TNT?“ says Jevin, in a tone of voice he hopes conveys exactly who the maniac with TNT normally is on the server.
“You never know,” Grian says. “You’ve seen the eggs now. You know I found them. Really, what do you need all those eggs for? Surely you won’t miss these, right?”
Jevin sighs. “Yes, but I need the eggs to prove you didn’t cheat. You can’t win unless you turn them in.”
Grian stares blankly at Jevin, big black eyes watering as he tries to decide between winning (a thing Grian is very bad at giving up on) and, presumably, some stupid bird instinct that’s refusing to let him let go of the eggs. Jevin’s not sure which one is winning. He is sure, however, that he is slightly regretting making the egg hunt actually use eggs.
Because, he thinks wryly, it’s hardly just Grian.
“Jevin,” Doc says, landing on the platform to the egg hunt central area. Grian makes a sound somewhere between a hiss and a squawk and pulls his shulker full of carefully-padded and protected eggs closer to his chest. “I have found all of my eggs.”
“Excellent! Now, if you’ll hand them over -”
Doc is holding a shulker close to his chest. “Give you my eggs? Don’t be ridiculous.”
...the worst part, Jevin thinks, as he tries to figure out how to negotiate with a bunch of hybrids who haven’t slept in too long and therefore don’t realize they’re being irrational, is that the others are almost certainly going to insist on playing again next year. Something about optimal hiding spots. Next year, though, he swears: he’s not calling them eggs.
Hermits' reactions to the egg version of themselves are amazing (ft. False, Grian, Joe, Iskall and Doc)
(Transcript under the cut) (but I highly recommend the video audio if you can, because "laugh" doesn't translate the sounds these hermits make)

(laughs) (laughs even more) Egg-skall!
I could put it upside down! (laughs)
(small laugh) (louder laugh) That is the sneakiest, most ridiculous Iskall I've ever seen! (laughs)
I kinda want to keep this thing. Forever. On my head. Best hat I have ever seen.
Clip 5: Doc
Check this out! (laugh) (more laugh) I tiny Doc egg!
And then the item frame will be invisible- (chuckle) Tiny Doc! I don't even want to hide those anywhere. I just wanna keep him.
Wait, how do they look if you... (laugh) Ha! Spin. (laugh)
Okay, let's... (laughs) There you go. (laugh) Man! I love these little egg-doccy so much. Like, I don't wanna give them to anybody. I want to put them all over my base and adore them.
Aw, goodbye little doccy.
It's triggering some fatherhood stuff in me. Like this small little doccy needs to be protected.
...and then do this. And then we can make more doccys! Awww!
