Season 3 Hulu thumbnails
Hulu has put the season 3 page up for us to stare at for two weeks. I painstakingly manually downloaded the images from the Hulu website, even though I could have just stolen them from other people, because I have INTEGRITY! (And it's harder for me to analyze them when it's just a reblog.) They're in episode order.
Tumblr media
From "Season 3 & WB". It looks like Nora is pointing out to Ralph that the Warners aren't supposed to be out like this. Ralph is wearing two hats.
Tumblr media
From "Royal Flush". Hmm.
Tumblr media
From "D.I.WHY" or "Planet Warner". Love the chaos kids just pumping water into a hole in the ground so they can take a swim.
Tumblr media
From "Über Nachtmare". Similar to the stock image I already showed. Yakko still looks super cute in that outfit.
Tumblr media
From "Groundmouse Day". Hard to say exactly what's going on here.
Tumblr media
From "The Island of Dr. Warneau". This confirms that Scratchansniff is the mad scientist in question. It looks like multiple different sets of Warner clones are getting revenge on the doctor. I'm really looking forward to this one!
Tumblr media
From "All's Fair in Love and Door". This is probably Brain's alternate reality. Does his alternate reality involve being married to Julia or something?
Tumblr media
From "WARnerGAMES". YES!!! I love seeing the Warners in 3D! I think their character designs work really well for it. I've always wanted to see the Warners animated in big budget 3D style, with highly detailed fur and everything. My hopes of that pretty much died after Space Jam, but this is still great!
Tumblr media
From "How the Brain Thieved Christmas". I guess the toy Brain is trying to take over the world with is a robotic Pinky.
Tumblr media
From "Aliens Resurrected", probably. This style looks similar to the one from "A Brief History of History" in season 2. I think the same aliens from that one may return and threaten to destroy the world unless Yakko convinces them otherwise with a song. The Warners look really cute. I love when their facial expressions are basically reduced to :0)

Pinky and The Brain (and rest of the Animaniacs, but focused on PATB) Medieval AU
Kingdoms:
Acmenar Kingdom
Cyberen Kingdom (may change, tried to have it sound more technologically but idk how I feel about it)
Ticktockia Kingdom
characters:
Brain - Prince, heir to the throne of Acmenar.
Pinky - Court jester of Acmenar.
Julia - Princess, heir to the throne of Cyberen
Billie - A Seamstress of Cyberen
Egwind - Castle worker in Acmenar
Larry - Villager of Acmenar
Snowball - Prince of Acmenar, youngest and not the heir.
Yakko - King of Ticktockia
Wakko - Duke of Ticktockia
Dot - Duchess of Ticktockia
Slappy - Villager of Ticktockia, previously served as a knight.
Skippy - Villager of Ticktockia
Flavio - Noble of Cyberen
Marita - Noble of Cyberen
Pesto - Messenger Pigeon of Cyberen
Squit - Messenger Pigeon of Ticktockia
Bobby - Messenger Pigeon of Acmenar
Rita - Prisoner in Cyberen for theft and fraud.
Runt - Prisoner in Cyberen for aiding in the escape of a wanted criminal and breaking and entering.
Hello nurse - Traveling doctor
Scratchansniff - Traveling Psycho-analyst
All I've figured out so far, some may change as I write.
Ships: Julia x Billie, Brain x Pinky, technically attempted forced Brain x Julia (arranged marriage), background Larry x Egwind maybe?
Storyline:
Pinky is a jester who was sent by the kingdom of Cyberen to assassinate the king of Acmenar and given a time frame of 1 year to complete the mission, but soon came to realize that Prince Brain was planning the king's assassination too. Once he was certain of this, he started to try to befriend him behind closed doors, them both working for the same goal would make things a lot easier. So he slowly gained the others trust, then eventually cornered him and forced him to talk. They decided to work together and often met up in hidden places in the walls to discuss their plans. The reason behind the call for the assassination, was because Julia despised Brain, and he despised her in return, but they are arranged to be married since they were young. She sent the assassin to deal with the issue, knowing that if she just killed the prince she'd have to deal with being forced to marry Snowball instead, so she made sure to deal with the root of the issue.
Brain and Pinky eventually succeed in the murder after a long time attempting it, making it appear like an accident, and brain takes charge. Pinky stays at Acmenar kingdom though, working as both Brains right hand helper (don't know proper terms for it-) and still remained the jester, but snowball is more of a threat than previously thought, and he soon starts arguing with Brain, then. He goes off into hiding, but there suddenly have been lots of close calls to brains life. After a long while brain gets severely injured and Pinky decides that they need to solve this problem, so he makes the journey over to the neighboring kingdom one night, taking brain with him as hello nurse tended to his wounds in the ship on the way there. Pinky confronted Julia, assuming this is her fault, but she had no knowledge of this, and was rather curious why he was so upset about Brains health, feelings come to light, and Julia decides she will keep a look out for Snowball, since Pinky did help her break her arranged marriage. She decides she'll throw him a bone this once and keep an eye on how things go.
Perhaps Julia find snowball and teams up with him? Perhaps Acmenar has to acquire assistance from Ticktockia? I have yet to decide, but I wanted to share my idea.
Things definitely will change, but I wanted to write down my current idea for it rn as it's been rotating in my mind for a long while.
Lmk what you guys think! ^^

We all know Wakko is afraid of clowns, but in the fourth episode of the original series The Warners are flying a hot air balloon with a clown face on it. This makes me wonder if something rather "unpleasant" happened while they were flying, causing Wakko to fear clowns by association? Like me with Footballs (long story)
Tumblr media
I certainly don't see any reason why that couldn't be the case. Otherwise, why wouldn't Wakko be scared of the balloon? Three possibilites:
He wasn't scared of clowns yet.
He doesn't know it's a clown balloon.
He isn't scared of inanimate objects that look like clowns, only real clowns.
It begs the question, of course, of what that unpleasant incident could have been. I don't think it would have involved a crash or anything, as he and his siblings have fallen from high heights many times before and been completely fine afterwards. My thought is that it could have been something else besides him or his siblings being harmed- maybe a bird hit the balloon and died. I think something like that would affect Wakko deeply and perhaps make him fear clowns.
I hope you won't mind if I use your ask as an opportunity to go into this more deeply. We don't have much evidence to get an objective answer as to why Wakko fears clowns, but maybe there's enough to allow us to single out some possibilities that are more likely than the others. Let's start by looking at the most important episode on this topic, "Clown and Out."
Tumblr media
The episode starts by showcasing Mr. Plotz's fear of clowns, which is very similar to Wakko's. He is shown on a therapy couch with Scratchansniff repeating the mantra "A clown is my friend. A clown will not bite me and throw me in the basement. A clown is not a big spider." It seems possible that his fear of clowns stems from It (both the novel and the original TV series were released a few years before Animaniacs). At the end of the episode, Wakko is shown repeating the same mantra, though the spider part is (presumably) cut-off.
Tumblr media
Wakko's fear of clowns stemming from watching It would be an easy explanation. However, it's muddled by the fact that, when he meets a clown exactly like Pennywise in the reboot, he's not scared of that one. Maybe the mantra could also relate to the possible balloon incident, with the fear of "a clown biting me and throwing me into a basement" represents the balloon crashing.
It could be a case of Scratchansniff being his usual incompetent self and trying to apply the same treatment to two patients with fundamentally different problems. Wakko wouldn't know the difference between good treatment and bad treatment and would likely just go along with whatever the doctor says, even if it doesn't apply to his personal problems with clowns.
Now, how scared of clowns is Wakko? Extremely. Scratchansniff says "Wakko has one of the most extreme cases of clownophobia I have ever seen. Wakko's fear of clowns... is so great that he becomes kooky and extremely unpredictable." Keep in mind that Scratchansniff, incompetence aside, has over 50 years of experience, so that is saying a lot. Could an extreme phobia like this come just from watching one horror movie?
Wakko has a visceral reaction to seeing a clown. It makes him paranoid enough to bring a stool over to the tower door just so he can stand and watch through the peephole. He does this in the middle of playing hide-and-seek with his siblings on his birthday, an activity which he presumably enjoys very much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, it doesn't make him lose all reason. He doesn't immediately resort to violence, even though, being Wakko, he very easily could. He first tries to ask the clown to go away repeatedly, explaining that he's scared, and only after the clown refuses to leave does Wakko resort to violence and tricks to get him to go away permanently. (To Mars.) It should be noted that Wakko, after his siblings ask him what he's been doing, says that he had to get rid of "the" clown. Not a clown. Does Wakko, at this point, believe there's only one clown in the world that tries to constantly terrorize him? Probably not, but it's a funny thought to consider.
So, now, having gone over the important information from the primary episode about Wakko's fear of clowns, let me present my several personal theories on why Wakko fears clowns.
It's simply an irrational fear that has no particular cause.
If I feared clowns, this would be the reason. They don't leave you alone. They keep trying to entertain you, even if you're clearly not entertained by them or even scared of them. Wakko asks the clown in this episode to leave several times, but he doesn't listen. Could Wakko's fear of clowns be related to a lack of control, perhaps relating to the lack of control he felt when locked in the tower?
The Warners are often shown to be legitimately scared of things they find to be unfunny or unentertaining, such as Baloney the Dinosaur. Maybe Wakko is scared of clowns simply because he finds them to be unfunny. I don't see any reason this couldn't be the case, but I won't discuss this possibility any further, because it's a boring answer.
This is the one I find most intriguing. Wakko hates clowns because of his own internal insecurities. The Warners look a lot like clowns, with their white faces and red noses. Maybe Wakko sees clowns as a reflection of the way everyone else sees him and his siblings, or the way he thinks they see them: annoying, unfunny "entertainers" who won't leave you alone. No one takes clowns seriously just like no one takes the Warners seriously.
Let me be clear: in any case, I don't think Wakko is aware of the reason he fears clowns. He just knows he does.
Sometimes, looking at the meta answer to a question can help you find the in-universe answer. I'm not sure that's the case here. Out-of-universe, the writers probably just gave him a random phobia for the sake of making an entertaining episode, and there's no deeper meaning behind it. He's just scared of clowns. I could be wrong, of course. There could be a super detailed Animaniacs lorebook out there recording the whole backstory of every little plot point and character trait in Animaniacs. If it exists, I'd love to see it, but obviously that's probably not the case.
I think the most helpful information we have to help find the answer to this question is Wakko's reaction to Nickelwise. Why is Wakko afraid of most clowns, but not afraid of Nickelwise? The differences between Nickelwise and other clowns might tell us exactly what Wakko fears about most other clowns.
Tumblr media
The reason Wakko gives for not fearing Nickelwise is that he's a "cutie", and his eyes "look like mine."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, in other words, Wakko doesn't fear Nickelwise because he relates to him. The thing that this most strongly proves is that Wakko's fear of clowns isn't totally irrational. If it was, he'd be afraid of Nickelwise no matter what. There is a reason for it.
I think this could support my fourth theory. If Wakko's fear of clowns stems from others' warped perceptions of him, then a clown that more closely represents who he truly is would be less scary to him.
Another possible reason that Wakko doesn't fear Nickelwise, which is never mentioned in the episode, is that he only fears clowns that are meant to be funny, not clowns that are meant to be scary. This could support my second or third theories.
Have we been able to rule out any theories with this information? No. Have we been able to establish any theories that are particularly more likely than the others? Not really. I think it could be any of the theories, including the balloon incident one, or a combination of several of them. The truth is there's just no objective way to know with the incomplete information we're given, so all we have is speculation. But it's fun to speculate! Thanks for your interesting theory and for giving me an opportunity to speculate, anon. And good luck in your fight against footballs.

Heyo, I have an ask for you! It is about a bit of an uncomfortable topic though. How is sex viewed in Toon Town and by Toons in general? Here let me clarify. The human world is a very sexualized one. You can see this sexualization everywhere, in Mass Media, in literature, constant hints (explicit or not so explicit) in TV shows or movies or even cartoons etc. All those sexy models on magazines or Instagram, although not very explicit, it's clear what they are hinting at. Heck, the most watched thing by humans on the internet are adult films. So I was, wondering, how is the Toon society towards this subject? Is it taboo, like really taboo? Are they just as crazy about it as humans are (although I kinda doubt that)? Are their Mass Media and literature and magazines just as filled with sexual stuff like ours, or to them this is not so important?
And also, tied to this subject, can Toons even have children through sex, or is drawing the only way?
So sorry for the immense ask, I know you just posted a chapter and you're probably tired. You don't have to answer this immediately, take your time. Ok, sorry again, byee🥰
Sorry for the delay!
So...I don't think the Toon world is as sexualised as our world, definitely not. Humour is the main thing in Toon world and the funnier a toon is the more popular and sought-after within their own world they are.
However Toons do understand that Humans [like us] do design them to be appealing to us, so you end up with toons like Jessica Rabbit and Betty Boop. Now [and I'm using 'WFRR' as part of my reasoning behind this] this means that they're not seen as 'funny' and they have usually been designed for a specific TV Show, or as a one-off gag or something. So unless their TV show gets revived their work after it is usually limited to shop work/bar work that kind of thing.
The most sought-after jobs within Toon Town is directing [cartoons/animated TV shows] or working in the costumes department or something else connected with the company. However the toons more likely to get these jobs are the most well-knows/funny ones, like Droopy or Dopey. Or ones that have a specific talent for something like sewing for example. [To help the costume department out.]
Going back to the actual ask however the Humans [I.E. us] don't want to be surrounded by 'funny' toons all the time, so the companies put in a few 'sensible' ones or ones that look nice [to us] like Jessica Rabbit and Betty Boop in places like the Warner Brothers Canteen, for example. But even when the Toons get these jobs it's assumed that they've got them because they're 'good looking.'
Important note - 'Good looking' in Toon Culture is NOT a compliment, [Off-screen]. A toon is aiming to be Funny, Amusing, Kind, Intelligent, Witty, that kind of thing. 'Good-Looking' is very low down on there totem pole.
Toon Town also doesn't feature sex all the time. Go to Toon Town and you will see billboards with Daffy Duck being squashed under an anvil. [This is basically @preciouslittletoonette headcanon that the LT's [and some of the Disney Toons like Goofy] are viewed as our version of a muscle-bound man. You try and find something with Jessica Rabbit in it, and unless it's about her marriage to Rodger and you'll struggle to find anything.]
That said it is recognised by the majority of the Toons that 'good-looking' toons run a lot of risk going to be human world and are more likely to be at risk of stalking, even within Toon Town. [The wolves that howl at the good-looking female toons have been known to be...persistent, for example]. So a lot of the good-looking toons [especially the female ones] do have people looking out for them, and a few of them even employ body guards. [Big strong toons like Nasty Canasta and Popeye are favoured.] Aside from that if they have a husband/boyfriend [or in more modern times a girlfriend/partner] they’ll usually be more than happy to look out for them.
Anyway - onto the subject of children. Now this one is slightly taboo in Toon culture because it’s an extremely sensitive issue. Toons cannot have children biologically, they must be ‘created’ [used to be termed as ‘drawn’ but with more modern technology it was updated to ‘created.’]. Toons that are lucky enough to have children are usually expected to be very grateful and in the past it was seen as extremely disrespectful to complain about them [the kids]. Thankfully in about the 70,s/80′s Doctor Scratchensniff and Hello Nurse started to work on this attitude and - although you still have to be a bit careful especially with some of the older toons - it’s no longer seen as completely immoral to complain about how annoying the Toon Kids can be.
Onto the subject of creating a toon child. Now - all Toon children have to have a guardian, even if in canon they don’t have one. This is simple enough if you’re creating a child for a pre-existing character. Like Max for Goofy or Junior for Sylvester for example. The adult is simply the legal guardian. There’s then usually two more ‘Legal Guardians’ in case for some reason [like filming] the adult can’t be around for the child for a while. In Junior’s case his other two legal guardians are Sylvia [Sylvester’s wife and Junior’s mother] and Granny. In Max’s case it’s Mickey Mouse and Horace Horsecollar.
This usually works well, but if for some reason a suitable guardian can’t be found [this is usually if the child has to many complex needs or was created with very specific powers or something] then there are children's home’s and orphanages for them to go to. If in their films they were staffed by Villains or amoral toons then those toons are replaced with toons who actually know what they are doing.
Push comes to absolute shove and a child needs somewhere to stay for a little while that’s safe, both Doctor Scratchensniff and Hello Nurse have massive houses and are licensed to look after children [like Foster Carers] for a maximum of  a month while something else is sorted.
Other adult toons can also apply to be adopted parents.  They go up in front of a panel and explain why they’d make good parents, they’re subject to back ground checks, their ‘created purpose [I.E. if they were created to be a villain or hero] is considered and they have to say what species they’re comfortable looking after. Providing they’re approved there’s then a trial period of a month, which is then extended to three months and finally 6 before everything goes full steam ahead. This process usually takes about a year. The final person to approve it is Hello Nurse.

I love moments like these 🥺💖
Scratchansniff is like a parental figure to them, and the Warners are still just kids. Having someone like a parent who looks out for them and who cares is what they need, especially being locked away for so long.
Makes me wonder if Yakko feels like he can relax a bit more with the fact that he doesn't really have to be the one to take the lead all the time (until he does because those are his sibs and he's used to it by now to which Scratchansniff might point out and Yakko's like "haha... whaaat? Did y'all hear something...")
