the Duolingo update has me fucked up. it put me in an advanced section that I have barely any knowledge of and it says I’ve completed levels I definitely haven’t. the progress is also no longer displayed as linear, it’s several pages of non-linear lessons where you start in the middle of the section...so it’s hard to tell which lessons are building on each other. i’m still going to use it because it helps me get valuable practice, but I feel like I’m more confused than ever before and it’s really discouraging

I guess it's kinda silly but I link desire and knowledge to the stomach because desire inherently leads to craving and craving to hunger. Also the stomach area is kinda like the center for everything, it's not only where the belly button is but also everything from breathing to talking to moving flows from the stomach to everywhere else. In my theory the stomach is the center of all communications because your mental/psychical state reflect on your stomach and the belly button is by far the part that has been really the closest to someone else, in a sense is the only part of us that's truly ever in contact with another person and thus the center of expression.

So basically desires comes from the stomach because it's the part that is in communion with the world and therefore everything you do and how you approach things is based on what your stomach wants to tell you, if that makes any sense idk

it doesnt seem silly to me ^^ i guessed it had something to do w hunger being one of the most primal desires. everything u said, it all makes great sense! another thing i find interesting about the stomach is the way it can physically alert u of unforeseen danger. like it's the intuition receptor or st? many times ive been able to feel something in my gut b4 i can perceive it w my eyes or ears. its hard to explain...when i think of ppl, i get feelings in my gut, sometimes its euphoric but sometimes i'll get this totally sour feeling, even tho it'll be weeks or months until i find out the person im thinking of harbors some secret resentment towards me. it happens when ppl look at me too, like this oppressive squeeze feeling when there's bad intention in someone's gaze. for much of my life i thought i was just projecting until these unexplainable feelings got proven right WAY too many times >.<; so nowadays i understand the language of these feelings. i trust myself..<3. yup. just internesting how the gut is where u feel this stuff the most, rather than the brain. much to consider. thanks for the thoughtfulness anon ^^
