Thomas Barrow is such a funny character, it’s like, man wants job security, proceeds to go about attempting to secure his job and land promotions in ways that will ensure his prompt termination. Somehow against all odds he continues to be rehired/accidentally promoted to everyone’s disbelief, including his own. Some suspect divine intervention is involved.
So Netflix is releasing this animated movie but here’s the thing - all backgrounds are done in AI. No actual BG artists were hired or credited for this work.
And here’s the kicker - I gave them too much credit. I realized that not even the AI users are credited apparently.
Check this out:
“+Human”. No names, no nothing.
I know it’s tempting, but please don’t hate-watch this thing. Numbers equal profit even if the people watching are just doing it to mock. Don’t give Netflix and other studios even more incentive to fire more animators and replace them with machines trained on their work and skill. Hilariously, the excuse used is ‘there aren’t enough artists’. That’s not true - there are more than enough artists, but the real issue is that no one wants to pay a living wage. Here’s a short video about the reality of animation in Japan.
The biggest winners in this equation at the end of the day are the AI infrastructure owners - owners of Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, etc. Do not feed this machine, it creates more monopolization of entire industries, raises a powerful few and dehumanizes the rest.
EDIT: a lot of people are unsure what the anime’s called - it’s The Dog and the Boy.

Never mind your wallet. Armed robbers want your French bulldog.
Never mind your wallet. Armed robbers want your French bulldog.
The French bulldog business is booming for Jaymar Del Rosario, a breeder whose puppies can sell for tens of thousands of dollars. When he leaves the house to meet a buyer, his checklist includes veterinary paperwork, a bag of puppy kibble and his Glock 26 pistol.
“If I don’t know the area, if I don’t know the people, I always carry my handgun,” Del Rosario said on a recent afternoon as he…

Bro I am absolutely baffled, a friend on discord told me some clown on instagram stole an over 8 year old picture I drew of Courage the Cowardly Dog and traced over it and then put weird photorealistic textures on everything and shaded it with the burn tool 😭AND THEN THEY PAID TO HAVE IS SPONSORED OR HOWEVER THAT WORKS ON INSTAGRAM??? THEY EVEN HAD THE GUTS TO POST "progress" PICTURES LIKE THE "SKETCH"
This is the picture they stole. If you see this sponsored art on instagram please report it. I'm going to try to report it but I don't know shit about how instagram works so I have no idea if my single report will do anything bhfjdkhgbfdjk Yeah I blurred out the name I don't want people to harass them even if they are some sort of failed circus clown.
They didn't even change the screen, absolutely wild
i learned that during the looting of the Chinese imperial palace at the end of the 2nd Opium War, the British soldiers took a Pekingese dog to gift to Queen Victoria. She named it "Looty" (x)
Found this on Ned Luke’s X account a week ago but GTA 5/6 crossover art done by artist Patrick Brown (Patrick has also done other 5 artwork you can see on his website just Google it)
hi guys. not to call anyone out, but this person is posting AI art. remember that AI art is bad and steals from REAL artists with no credit. I can’t contact this person to tell them to take it down but if anyone is able to be my guest. Just remember to not be rude and not be a shitty person
My sister is still brushing my hair because I can't hold my arms up for long.
This has become a full-on Girls' Sleepover Party every time, now, Gwyn rushing over to seat herself in my lap to be brushed while sister brushes my hair. Gwyn helpfully lifting her forelegs to have her feathers brushed, turning without request to get her other ear, etc. I don't know why Gwyn has decided to play Girls' Night like this, but it's very sweet and silly.
Last Girls' Night, I finished brushing Gwyn, set the brush on the table, looked at Tristan and asked "you want a turn? You want to be brushed, too?"
Tristan looked around, spotted the brush, gently stole it off the table, and trotted around to present it to me. 😂🤣
Awright, so he doesn't want a full membership in Girl's Night but he's willing to lend a hand, I guess.
Before anyone asks, no I will not make a collar or leash out of the new uv printed biothane the company is making. Many, if not all, of the patterns are AI generated and I will not support art theft. The patterns I select for my collars are all done by real artists who get a comission from my purchase of the fabric.
I've done a few items with the solid biothane colors and don't really enjoy working with the material, and have no interest in buying better equipment to make it easier. I'd much rather put that money towards more ethically created patterns for my webbing collars and hardware restocks.
