Hello! I've been told to ask you this =D
What do you think about Jimmy as a minecraft player, what is he?
It's for a project =3
ooh a project, how fun :0
i should preface this by saying i’m not the BEST person to give this opinion, cuz despite how much i write jimmy, i uh… don’t actually watch his pov? i haven’t seen any of empires (except the hermit’s crossover in s2), i don’t watch his streams, and i don’t watch the one-off vids he posts on his channel. most of my knowledge of jimmy comes from his appearances in other pov’s life series episodes and how ppl portray him in fandom.
howEVER, that said, i’m curious how my interpretation would line up with other ppl’s. i view minecraft players as generally fitting into a few broad categories- tho there can def be overlap between them or a jack-of-all-trades situation. and this prob applies more to people who actually play minecraft professionally (ie. ‘play video games for a living’) than the casual player (such as myself hagshdha).
builders: have a creative eye and practiced skill in building to the point where they can, generally speaking, throw down a decent build on the fly (things that require a lot of planning/detail work often drafted in creative mode first). have good understanding of achieving a certain shape and color with their block placements. may or may not include terraforming ability. generally drawn to the game’s building aspect and spend a lot of time/care making things look good.
redstoners: have an adequate amount of base knowledge for how most redstone components work and interact with each other, tho they may occasionally still use tutorials or take inspiration from others (can only reinvent the wheel so many times). usually capable of making simple redstone machines/contraptions on the fly. generally drawn to the game by the possibility of farms and automation. some take it to extreme game-breaking lengths (doc).
competitors: have highly-trained skill in areas such as PVP, parkour, and/or any other multiplayer server type minigame. think hypixel and MCC. this isn’t to say they don’t have their own solo worlds for building or other projects, or don’t participate in smps, but their main draw to the game initially was competitive multiplayer and it features heavily on their channels. to me, speed-runners/challenge-seekers are a subcategory of this.
explorer: this type doesn’t actually show up often in popular mcyt bc it’s a largely solitary- and in some ppl’s opinion, boring- experience. but these are the players that spend hours in their solo worlds just traveling around, mining out massive caves, or doing any other kind of repetitive grindy work as a manner of relaxation. some ppl really enjoy this aspect of minecraft and it’s a major draw for them. special mention for kurtjmac, a mcyter who’s spent 13 years and counting just walking to the farlands in an old version of the game (tho he does other things on his channel as well).
and now for what category i think jimmy fits best in (which again, doesn’t mean he can’t build or do other things). i don’t have a good name for it rn so i’m just gonna call it ‘the sillies’ (affectionate).
sillies: above all else, they’re here to have fun. most, if not all, of their content is on multiplayer worlds (both public servers and private smps), and on these worlds they are extremely social, making a concentrated effort to interact with others even if not legitimately roleplaying. high amounts of pranks and hijinks abound, as well as ‘committing to the bit.’ lots of videos feature them doing some kind of funny little challenge, game, or mod with their friends. again, that doesn’t mean they can’t engage w the other aspects of the game or be skilled in those categories, but generally, it’s not their main objective and not how they spend most of their time.
that’s what i’ve got! obviously u could split all of these into many subcategories, and your average player is gonna be fairly well-balanced. but for our pro cubitos, i think this is a nice way to categorizing things (and it at least makes sense in my mind).

I have never watched yugioh but ive gained enough knowledge from pop culture osmosis to bullshit something out so-- SAGAU but the reader is a huge Yugioh/trading card game nerd
Even though the skills theyve learned from playing Yugioh and other such TCGs dont precisely translate, their skills in building a deck is UNMATCHED. And their skill in execution of their deck is also insane.
I remember that when i was watching a Drawfee stream or vid or something, Karina, Drawfees resident anime and Yugioh expert kept talking about these builds and decks of cards that would instantly just one shot literally anyone and everyone and i can see it so much. I imagine that before they get isekaied into genshin, they play a lot of rounds of matches against the cpu and the characters all around but thanks to their deck building, everyone is just decimated to the point that the only time they ever co-op in genshin is to either visit friends, farm for materials, or play Genius
I also imagine that they make just-- these INSANE meme decks that SOMEHOW FUCKING WORK?? Like Pokemon deck where you constantly spawn summons like Oz, Gouba, the fUCKING WATER SHITS FROM OCEANID, and so on.
Ofc, they still play the main game but they have spent... a LITTLE too much time playing Genius.
Okay onto the SAGAU part.
Since the world of Teyvat doesn't take card games and the like as seriously as we do (i mean cmon-- theres been news of certain cards and decks being banned in Magic: The Gathering tournaments and Yugioh tournaments with tons of security for calming down raging dedicated card game players for both events), i feel like its gonna HIT THEM LIKE A BRICK how utterly outclassed they are when they play against them.
Because theyre expecting like "oh, the Overseer/Creator/(insert whatever you wanna call urself here) is inviting me to a simple game of cards! This shall be a pleasant and calm afternoon in the Cat's Tail with them!! :))" but then in reality, you just called them over to see how good the "ai" is and to increase the diversity of your cards so you can make more decks. Meaning, they proceed to systematically destroy each and every character, POSSIBLY EVEN with a deck personalized to beating that characters deck into the ground. Card game culture is different here and there AHAHA
God i imagine that, since apparently Cyno is the best player of TCG, after losing you might just get so many pings of Cyno wanting a rematch. Or like, as your reputation in the game circles grows, he might just sneak into Cat's Tail and sit in on one of your matches to see what hes dealing with. Let me tell you, he is going to be stunned and is probably trying to formulate his deck against whatever deck you had on hand that round. And then he peeks into Cat's Tail again and HAH lol, diff deck for diff person. And he just starts making another fUCKING DECK--
When yall finally face off, its literally just This scene. Cyno still loses by a landslide but you had to get a little serious there.
God when you finally get isekaied, have fun integrating our worlds card game culture into theirs AHAHA-- also Cyno Will Be Asking For Rematches Everyday. Have fun making cringey Yugioh and card game references with him AHAHA
I know jack shit abt Yugioh and i used to play some TCGs but that was a long time ago, so if youre actually much more well versed in the subject-- FEEL FREE TO TAKE MY IDEA AND RUN AHAHAHA

I think the negativity around Banter is (unfortunately) inevitable. A conservative estimate for snf/karl's total active fanbase is 2M (looking their active following on all platforms).
Banter is getting around 120k views, which is 6% of their active fanbase. That means 94% of their active fanbase aren't enjoying their ccs primary form of content (at the moment).
A thing about this fandom is that the fanbase is very loyal. Perhaps in other fandoms, this 94% would have just left, but instead they are sticking around for other content. I'm sure this is preferable for snf/karl, even if it means they sometimes see negativity about Banter.
Obviously each fan has their own reasons for not liking it, from preferring snf+karl streams all the way to preferring dteam only content. Whatever the reason, Banter is clearly more of a niche, which means it will never be free of criticism as long as it is the main form of snf content. (Karl has a lot of other content, so it isn't as big of a problem for him).
i see where you're coming from but i think the thing most comparable to the podcast is a stream and those do relatively similarly to banter. a average recent stream vod gets anywhere from 100k-200k so a good chunk of the people interested in their longer, more chill content do tend to watch banter as well.
if you're comparing it to a regular youtube video, it's definitely gonna do much less numbers but i think that's an unfair comparison. the majority of creators who have a podcast get significantly less views on podcasts than regular vids--with some exceptions of course. plus a lot of the people hating say they wish the time was rather spent on a stream than a podcast. so i agree that it is a niche audience that watch banter in comparison to their youtube but in the same sense it's also a niche audience that watches the streams as well and those are not hated on like this so i disagree, i don't think it's inevitable.

Try Not to Laugh
I’ve seen 3 different variants of the Try Not to Laugh Challenge, and...
Basically, serious stakes ruin it.
A streamer is handed a bunch of presumably funny videos and told to not laugh while watching. Y’all at home are under no such stricture, of course.
The first, like, 20 times Markiplier did this he was giggling like mad by about halfway through. And that’s good viewing! Seeing someone trying to keep it together and be dignified and then get overcome by the joy in his own heart gives you this weird kind of positivity-schadenfreude, and also you’re probably laughing yourself. The video where he successfully kept it together the whole time and “won” is easily the worst of the bunch.
There have been others where the streamer has allotted maybe 250 bucks to be doled out as subs on the stream, and they try not to laugh but basically the stream’s going to go until either they’ve spent the cash or they run out of time. These are great! There’s interaction, a sense of wanting to do something that pleases the streamer (I’ve seen streamers gift the sub for something really heartwarming even though it didn’t make them laugh) that touches on the positive side of the parasocial relationship. They don’t really know you but they’re giving you a chance to prove that you know them way too well and in doing so get some of their attention...I dunno, it just works.
But the third Is functionally a competition, streamer vs audience, and frankly it’s kind of a scam, because the pot for the event comes from the audience putting in cash-per-second for the videos they’re trying to use to make the streamer laugh. This prioritizes videos so short the streamer can just...not register their existence? Not get invested? There’s no time for buildup in most of the vids and there’s an air of desperation because the payout if you make him laugh is much higher. Which in turn means the average humor quality of the videos is lower than the other two as well.
So yeah! If you have a chance to see a Try Not to Laugh Challenge video, it’s actually a lot less likely to be fun if it’s billed as having a bunch of money on the line. If it’s got a horrified streamer and “I lose 10,000 dollars” then, well, number one he probably doesn’t, and number two you probably won’t laugh during the video, which is a real shame.

Do you recall the vid of Jensen giving a Valentine card to Misha? And there's a part towards the end where Richard was jokingly saying along the lines of "I hope your Valentine's suck" and Jensen replied "that's a terrible thing to say in front of my Valentine's"? Can you do an analysis of that ❤️
omg nonnie you must have a sixth sense bc i was literally watching that video yesterday and thinking how absolutely wild it is. there is so much to analyse in it. SO much. it's a super interesting moment that i think is really underrated tbh.
but before we get into the analysis, can we just take a moment to appreciate how stupidly adorable it is that jensen used up all the glitter on misha's card and wrote "happy valentines, love yourself first" on it with a bunch of sparkly hearts??? someone help the poor man he is just an absolute goner.
Tumblr media
okay, so one of the things i find really interesting about this moment is that jensen's whole demeanour changes the moment he suspects misha is filming.
he goes from openly giving misha a cute, soppy card to this hesitant, guarded "are you filming?" as spots the camera and realises it's not a private moment. you can literally see the wall go up on his face. and i just think that's really interesting, because let's face it, why would you have that reaction about giving a friend a valentine's card?? why would the prospect of people knowing you care about your friend provoke that kind of fearful, nervous response???
i also think it's very interesting that misha made it clear from the beginning of the video he'd have to hide the fact he was filming, like he knew jensen would have been hesitant about it. again, why would this have been the case unless it was a moment that was in some way potentially private?? misha has filmed them both tons of times and done spontaneous live streams etc, and yet here it's different.
and then the interchange you mention. oh BOY. i literally spat my tea out the first time i heard what was said because wow. the sound quality is a little shaky so it's not 100% clear exactly what's said, but the general consensus (which i agree with) seems to be that richard says "i hope your valentine's sucks" to which jensen replies "that's an awful thing to say in front of my valentine on valentine's day". which??? he's literally just called misha his valentine.
three interesting things about this:
1) HE LITERALLY CALLED MISHA HIS VALENTINE
2) it has very protective don't-you-dare-hurt-my-misha vibes
3) as soon as jensen says it, misha IMMEDIATELY turns the camera back around, looks knowingly at the lens and says "that's what really happens behind the scenes". which, okay. might just be a throwaway mark, but also?? also could very much be him implying that cockles is real. that yes, behind the scenes he really is jensen's valentine. i mean. it's a classic misha tactic - hiding the truth in plain sight.
he also turns the camera around after jensen says it with a kind of hastiness that suggests jensen has just said something revealing, or which he knows jensen wouldn't want to be recorded. the fact he basically cuts jensen off by turning the camera around so quickly and starting to speak over him just further confirms that for me. and the slightly guilty, bashful, amused quality to misha's expression??? even more fuel for the fire, oh my god. he's definitely flustered.
so yes. LOTS of very interesting things here. i could honestly ramble on about them for way too long but i'll stop now because i feel like that's quite enough cockles derangement for one post.
a final note - i love how at the end rob and richard are commenting on how good jensen's card is, suggesting that jensen spent a lot of time and effort making it in the first place. which. just. excuse me while i go and cry helplessly over how in love this poor man is. HE CUT OUT LOTS OF LITTLE HEARTS AND ARRANGED THEM PRETTILY AND - yeah. okay. i'm officially spiralling even deeper into the dumpster now. send help.

Week ending 6/22/19
Hi! Welcome to DillsVille. This is week one of my effort to write about my progress becoming one or both of two things: a professional MtG: Arena Twitch streamer, and/or a Software Developer or Cyber Security specialist. The latter really could go any which way, I’m not too choosy. I love computers and I’m in the process of studying programming with regards to game development, but my ultimate goal is to culture the skills necessary to get a job in the software engineering field at large. There was a recently announced cyber-security program at the community college near where I live, and that sounds like an exciting avenue for me to end up venturing down as well. So all-around, I want my career to be in tech. Primarily software-focused tech. At the same time, my number one biggest passion right now is Magic: the Gathering. With the release of Arena, Wizard’s premiere digital experience of the classic trading card game, there has been a huge boom in Twitch streaming. Of course, that means the competition is all-around pretty fierce, especially for someone like me who really doesn’t have any experience or clout backing them up to go into it. But here’s the way I see it. I love playing Magic. I love talking to people about playing Magic. I love analyzing my own play and improving myself through the game. What’s the best way I can accomplish all of this, while making the hobby an investment that can actually produce returns? That’s it: streaming. I don’t care if my viewership is 20 people per two-hour stream and I never get sponsored or anything like that. It’s not about getting big, although it would be nice. It’s about doing what I love anyway and extracting value from it. Even if the only value I get is feedback on my gameplay, either by re-watching my own recordings, or by having a live chat tell me just how much I’m screwing up. Anything else is gravy. So the stream will be starting soon. Right now, I’m working on getting my new account (featuring a username that matches this blog) past all the new-account bullshit they throw at you at the start. You kind of have to grind up through this Skyrim-esque tree of beginner decks. I’m just about to hit 5,000 gold, and I’ll use that to record a draft video and upload to YouTube this week
So that’s where I’m at with CyberDack the Twitch-streamer. This week is all about getting that draft vid up. The follow-up is to use the new account $5 bundle to get some gems and go live on Twitch despite not having a camera to show myself. My idea is to have two separate two-hour sessions each Monday and Wednesday. No particular reason for those dates, but it’s what I know I can commit to for a start. The stream will be from 5:30 PM PST to 7:30 PM PST. I’m pretty sure the $5 bundle can carry me through to enough content for that first stream, I’ll have to re-evaluate for the Wednesday stream.
Tumblr media
So what about my other career? Well, right now I’m working on a video game built in Unity currently nicknamed Project Nightframe. My buddy Kenny, a veteran programmer currently working as a team-lead for user experience, is helping to mentor me through the process of creating the game. I can’t be more thankful for his help on the project. The idea is we meet up each week to discuss progress on a schedule we’ve established as bi-weekly development.
At the moment I’m a little behind from where I’d like to be on the project. Part of this has been outright procrastination. Last weekend in particular I really spent almost no time working on the game, thinking I could make up for it during the next week. Well, that next week has come and gone as well and I’m not a whole lot farther along. But that brings me to the second aspect of the problem, which is that I kind of jumped ahead of myself and my abilities.
You see, I thought I’d be able to create a working prototype in Unity within a week or two. At the moment, I have two sprites that I built in paint, and...nothing else. Instead, I’ve been focusing my efforts on a pair of tutorials for Unity in general. The first tutorial was How to Make a Rogue-like, but I realized even from going through that tutorial that I could benefit from backing a little farther up and experiencing a How to Make Your First Game in Unity, which is what I’ve more recently been doing by following the Brackeys tutorial.
In addition, I’ve been trying to progress through the codecademy website’s learner path for C# in general. I have to say, the codecademy course is particularly disappointing. It just doesn’t feel nearly as cohesive and rounded as their other tutorials have been like with projects for Javascript, which I really liked. The best example I can give is there was a lesson on finding the character index of a string. The example showed how they called a method to find the precise index of a known substring within a string (finding “cactus” in a larger sentence). Then the lesson asked you to build your own code for finding “the first letter” in a person’s name in order to address an email to them. The example does not illustrate how to find the first index position of a string, but it doesn’t matter. Apparently what they’re actually asking you to do is create the same method from the example to find the first letter “F” in the string.
The part that’s confusing about this is that in a real-world scenario, your code wouldn’t know what that first letter is supposed to be unless you’re manually looking at every stored value in your database that you’re trying to pull “the first letter” from! I dunno. If you’ve been through this lesson you know what I’m talking about. So what have I learned from going through these Unity tutorials and codecademy lessons on C#? Well...I’ve started to understand the basics of the Unity engine. How it creates scripts, stores them in your directory, and how the editor calls those scripts into its Inspector, which is really neat. I’ve also started to get a general sense of the flow with C#. Everything needs to be declared which is different from Javascript because in JS everything is interpreted automatically. You can’t just say “var yourMom = ‘example string’” and have it store that variable as a string in C#. It won’t even run. Instead, you have to say “STRING yourMom = ‘example string’”. Also everything has to end with a semicolon or it won’t run either! It takes some getting used to.
But I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of things to the point where I really ought to be able to get that prototype up over the next two weeks. My minimum goal is to have a working mouse-click event for my “Hacker” object that creates a pattern of highlighted tiles to be selected and moved onto. I think what this is going to take is a little more rooting around in the Unity documentation to get a better handle on events and also how an object can call a function to create another object or at least render an image in the game environment.
Either way I have a conversation with Kenny to look forward to and I feel like I’m a bit of a disappointment. I’m not sure how much crap he’s actually going to give me for not meeting the goals we set out, but my hope is that once he understands I was a little over-eager on my abilities, he won’t beat up on me too much. I even went through the process of tracking how much time I spent on the project and so far it’s been at least 5 hours of work. Most of that has been the tutorials, like I mentioned.
I did procrastinate, though. If I had really worked as hard as I would have liked on this project, I would be at 15 hours of project-related time. That’s basically 7.5 hours per week. So that’s my goal this next week! Even if it’s just more tutorial-grinding, I know that 7.5 hours of tutorials will get me a lot farther than I am right now.
So, let’s recap.
Last week I:
- spent 3 hours on my Unity game: Project Nightframe
- created my CyberDack accounts for gmail, twitter, Twitch, YouTube, and MTGA.
This week I will:
- spend 7.5+ hours on my Unity project
- record and upload to YouTube an MTGA draft video
My goal for the Unity project are to create a working mouse-click event that creates highlighted tiles around the player object.
If you’re interested in seeing me progress through these goals each week, follow me here on Tumblr where I will write about what I’ve learned, whether I met my goals, and what I plan to do with the next week!
See you then.

or review and here inside the members area of life it live it rancor and I'm going to give you a full demo inside this video exactly how this works and on a nutshell this is going to enable you to get brilliant rankings on YouTube I get asked pretty much on a daily basis John oh how do I rank my videos on YouTube like you and the answer is well I have an authority YouTube account okay I have over 30,000 subscribers and I've I've spent a long time building up the content on my account which in turn gives me that authority and helps me to rank now if you have a brand new youtube account or a relatively new YouTube account it's going to be hard for you to rank and compete with me or other authority sites that's where live adrangi comes in because what it allows you to do is take advantage of live streaming on YouTube without having to go live on YouTube I know a lot of people out there are not confident enough to live stream on YouTube they find it like a a daunting task so this allows you to upload a pre-recorded video and it also includes a video creator software inside of here as well talk to you about that in a bit so you create one video and then you can stream that and that will create 10 or maybe 20 different videos for that one video so it will take that one video and it will create different tags different headlines different variations of that video that you are not wanting to rank for for example you are doing a review of live vid rancor okay this you will upload your review video of live--i drank it and then it will stream multiple different variations of that video for the same video so you'll have lively drum corps review best live we drank a review honest live vid run core review lively drank a review and bonuses each of these ones will be an individual bonus super super valuable bonus number two I'm going to show you two alternative ways that you can monetize live video ranking I'm going to go through a couple of these methods inside of this very review video so stick with me for that but I've got enough tentative two ways that you can monetize from liveed rancor inside of this second bonus bonus number three I'm going to show you the other things that you need to do to your live videos to make sure that they rank okay because if you are ranking these videos for competitive search terms there's a high chance that you won't be able to get those videos to the very top spot if you only use in the live stream alone there's a few other things that you need to do to your videos to make sure that they will hit that top spot okay that's all explained inside of bonus number three bonus number four I'm going to show you how you can build a professional email capture page and you can build a huge list from 100% organic YouTube traffic okay this is something that I've been doing it works really well but you are gonna have to have some form of email capture page so you can transfer that traffic from YouTube onto your email list I'm going to show you how to do that inside of bonus number four bonus number five I'm going to give you access to all the bonuses that the vendors given to me to give to you now although I don't really know much about what these bonuses are I do know that most of their affiliates are only gonna be offering these bonuses alone I've gone over and above that by offering you all of my custom bonuses that I've made myself but just to make sure that you're not missing out if you do choose to buy by my link I'm gonna be throwing in these bonuses as well now these are going to include keyword research ninja instant content content creator backlink warrior backlink a lanai analyzer instant squeeze page builder WP visitor chat animal stock footage video marketing hack geo visitor content cyber email assistant my ad rotator email protector list cleaner easy PR booster surefire member automation make money in five minutes how to traffic source Facebook mastery effective paid traffic sources Amazon FBA YouTube ultra Eclipse five jackin formula landing page monkey all right there's a ton of stuff on here I'm not gonna go through it all with you but as you can see there's a ton of bonuses from the vendor which is going to take me at least ten minutes to go for each one of these so those are all yours as well as my custom-made bonuses all you need to do to claim these bonuses 100% free of charge and instantly delivered to you first of all if you're watching on youtube click on the link down below in the description of this YouTube video come through to this page if you're already on this page from my you from my email list that's cool to scroll down click on any of these yellowy orange buttons to come through to the sales page and purchase live video rank and as soon as you've done that you'd simply need to go through to your jvzoo account okay so jvzoo.com click on your username at the top click on purchase history or there should be a link that says looking for your purchases click on there click on live video ranker and you'll come through to a receipt page that looks like this where you're going to find a little blue button at the bottom bottom of that page which says bonuses from jonno now that will give you instant access when you click on there - all of these vendor bonuses and all of my custom bonuses so if you do click on any of these yellow orange buttons you'll come this post, entirely about gabbie hanna. which is very fitting considering i associate the number three with her.
where to start? i suppose at the beginning. that being september 2016.
i don't remember exactly when but sometime before drop the mic tour i fell in love with her videos, and i mean i fell fuckin hard lol. i just connected to her on a way i didn't really understand as a just-turned-sixteen-year-old girl. anyway, the first video i remember being posted after i started stanning was ‘how social media ruins relationships’ a dance video, that gabbie rarely posts but has stuck with me as my first proper memory of her. and the beginning of something mad.
if anyone reading this doesn't know gabbie (hi, were have u been?) she's a youtuber. she's the gal in my icon <3 not only is she a youtuber she's also. musician (currently with six (technically 7) songs out and an album called ‘this time next year’ on the way), author (of adultolescence which reached number 3 (three, see?) on the New York times bestseller list, with book two on the way also), illustrator (of said ny times bestselling book and various other designs), tv host (for a while on the revamped TRL) and so much more but of course i'm biased and could go o forever so i'll leave it there.
after deciding to subscribe and do the general social media stalk of and internet personality of someone i’ve just found i was obsessed and over two years later, still am <3
i changed my twitter @ to a gabbie fan account, made friends (with some of the most amazing people) and just felt so at home. sounds crazy but it was like something clicked and not only did i fall in love with gabbie, i also fell in love with her community.
january 2017; something past 2am, i'm awake for some apparent reason and gabbie goes live on live.ly (i know, long ago) of course i join and this is where I got my first gabbie notice (which i know isn't everything but it was something so heartwarming knowing that after a couple months she saw me) she did this emoji game where she’d act out an emoji and the first person to correctly guess and send it in the chat would be ‘best friended’. in this stream she also announced that she’d be coming to london for summer in the city.
summer in the city is a video convention in the uk (obv) in august, this was suuucchhh a big deal as i was already planning to go and the fact that she’d be there was the BEST feeling ever. in the time between she announced and it finally came around i got my follow from her on twitter (which also has a cute story behind it - i made a deal with my step dad, if I got an A in any of my january exams (which i was getting the results for on March 3rd) he would buy me my ticket to sitc. so of course i was v nervous, went to bed - or at least tried to - the night before and work up on the third to gabbie’s follow, which probably doesn't sound like a big deal so literally everyone else ever but it just felt like a lil ‘good luck, u got this’ from her which meant frickin everything. so i got an A, therefore got my ticket and was so ready for august.
august 2017; the fourth of august, my mam, joel and i set off to london on the mega bus. me excited as anything as i was on my way to london after not having gone for about 6 years, getting ready to see three of my best pals (who i was meeting for the first time the next day because of gabbie) and also preparing myself to see gab irl for the first time ever. right as i saw about to try and sleep i got a message from a twitter mutual of a video of gabbie saying hi to me after they’d met her at their hotel lobby, i lost my mind and couldn't sleep after, naturally. the fifth of august, i got up in a shitty ibis budget hotel room in barking early af to get ready and make sure i looked presentable to go to the excel (which was an hour away on the tube, nightmare), went to breakfast and was too nervous to eat lmao (not like me AT ALL) and then we were off. i met chaz first, then eli then toni who where the best company that weekend and i'm so grateful for them. we waited two hours at main stage for the comedy panel to be able to get front row to see gabbie at her first sitc 2017 panel which was crazy emotional. i screamed, laughed, cried (yes, cried) and lost my fucking mind at gabbie literally jumping off the fucking stage and run over to chaz (who i was standing next to) and hugged her and then toni. frickin insane dude. we had such a good day and were all buzzing to se meeting gabbie the next day. the sixth of august, maybe my favourite day of my entire life <3 we ended up leaving the hotel late which wasn't fun considering gabbie had a panel at 12 and of course we wanted to get front row. chaz managed to get there first and toni and i joined her, the doors opened and we (along with the 15 others who also wanted front row ran to the queue, literally RAN and i do not run usually, sis made an exception for my fave <3 anyway we got front row and eli (who was late) sat behind us and we watched gab so sooo well. she kept looking over at us and making cute faces, looking right fuckin at us whilst mentioning her community and projects etc. and she done so fuckin well when hazel hayes (a knob) literally came for her for absolutely no reason, which tuned into a joke lol. next, another main stage panel which we got to second row for since we were late as the schedule didn't have that panel on it LOL (ty for that sitc) next, my fave part, getting legend herself<333 toni and eli went earlier than chaz and i because they had to leave early. chaz and i tried to wait until last but some bitchy af girls were doing the same and we heard that she might have to leave early so joined the queue. meeting her; my favourite moment ever. has went first and i stood recording until gabbie says to chaz “ya who’s the rest of the squad” making me lose me mind internally LOL, i knew she knew about us since chaz had dm’ed her saying and gab had said that she was looking out for us in the crowd of panels AWW. chaz said about how eli and toni had come earlier and then said “so its just me and holly left” and at that moment gabbie looked at me, right into my fucking soul and said “hi holly!” and opened her arms to me <333 OUCH IM SOFT. she was and still is the best. we had a cute AF lil convo where she told the security (because they were looking at us stupid bc of how excited we all were and also bc she spent so much longer with us than anyone else lmao) that chaz an i “are twitter icons” which i died at ouchie. she then complemented my hair (which i’d dyed purple and blue to match hers - cringe, yes - to then find out she dyed hers blonde a week before london LMAO of course. i told her how i also got my nose pierced bc of her and she told me “you gotta do all these now” showing me her ears that had SIX new piercings that she’d got for a vid that wasn't out at the time, saying “next time i see you, next year, you better have five” which of course i did literally five days after meeting her lol, love that for me, even though i didn't see her the next year (ouch)
skipping a lot but gabbie truly means so so much to me, and this for sure won't be the last time i do a post about her. she truly deserves the world <3
