Happy 10th Birthday, Muse!

10 years ago his head arrived.... the body followed later as I had to save up quite some time for it. His face up got paid by my Mom as birthday present back then. It's kind of a miracle his tattoos are still unharmed.

And I never would have thought to get another 70cm doll, but Mana proved me wrong.

Iza’s Yearly Big BJD Lineup 2023 :: 64 BJDs from 81cm to 12cm (+ pets!)

I finally got around to doing my yearly big BJD lineup in December 2023, für hounding my sister for over a year to give me my two doll bodies back.

This was a 3 day ordeal (2 days of shooting images, and another day of editing, combining, and labeling), but I’m glad I got it done. In total I manually merged 12 photos. 

I excluded 4 dolls, 3 have identical doubles (head and body combos) and 1 was too similar to another (only a different head, but same company head and body combo), so I didn’t feel the need to add them. I also did not add a doll I gifted my wife for Christmas as she hadn’t gotten her yet when I did the lineup. She’ll be included in next year’s lineup though!

If anybody wants specific dolls from above compared (dressed or nude), please let me know and I’ll try to do it in the next week! I can’t do the whole lineup nude as I do not have the energy nor the ambition for that. It was intensive enough to just do them dressed, because I do this without help…

Anyway, I hope this is helpful to at least one person out there!

I’m not gonna tag all the doll sculpts in the lineup, that would just take too long, but I will add a couple of companies in the tags at least.

I guess a rainy day was technically the right weather for pictures of my little mushroom.

But honestly, this is the only ok photo I got that day, and it wasn't a very fun moment due to mud and everything being wet. If I hadn't been so impatient/frustrated by two weeks of non stop rain, I wouldn't have bothered.

Got in this modded resinsoul SD body today. Picked it up 2nd hand off Facebook.

So far the plans for it are up in the air but I already ordered this 2nd hand head (doll chateau Erwin) from DoA.

It's pretty much guaranteed I'll need to dye him to be a closer skintone match. I was also playing with faceup ideas and kinda like how this one turned out.

Repainted my Doll Chateau Elizabeth in grey skin, to be softer and to have eyebrows. It’s actually really fun for me to see how different faceups change a doll’s entire vibe.

Just look at that difference!

I was able to give her eyebrows this time because I moved the extra painted eyes onto her cheek bones (and I must say, they turned out brilliant) and I got rid of the overly bold lips.

I’m so glad that I moved the eyes, as now they are not hidden by her wig anymore. Oh, and I put so much gloss onto the fake eyes they have a slight dome.

So of course, my ADHD self I couldn't remember to take actual unboxing photos but here are some photos.

Also a huge surprise, she came with some lovely eyes that I didn't expect. Can't wait to put them in

Here she is! With the stand I also purchased for her (and I'm glad I did) she has very "kicky" joints just due to her design. I expected this, so it's all good. I will need to suede her joints for sure though.

Oh yeah, I haven't even mentioned yet. She is a Doll Chateau Bella head on a doll Chateau k-11 body. I got it all in green, and I'm so so so so happy with the color. I wasn't exactly sure of what green I would get since in photos some looked darker and bluer than this. But she is a nice light pistachio type green.

For those color nerds out there, here are some pantones near her. I think she is probably closest to 559cp or 566 cp (but a little less blue than the 566)

Her face is lovely and I am so excited to do a faceup on her!!

She also has the jointed fingers which I am excited about
