So I'm planning a Frank'n doll. She's going to have fairyland bunny legs, upper torso and arms on a resinsoul, and a Logan dolls head.

Currently I only have the bunny legs, and have the torso on order(in white) and the head I'm waiting to come up on preorder.

I decided to take my RS Yao apart to compare her torso connection to the bunny legs and get an idea of the mods I'll be doing eventually.

I think I'm going to get away with sculpting a whole separate piece to connect these two joints. It's going to make the torso a little long and therefore her arms a little short but I think I can live with it. Now just to wait to get the torso in, in jan/Feb.

went crazy and got a fang head from the merrydollround preorder :o

i think i’m going to try to shell yuki into her- she looks how i imagine yuki does for the most part and i thiiiiiink i could make her work on a tall msd body which would be pretty ideal. the head is around 19cm (about the same as my dikadoll msd head) which would look a bit odd next to my unoa zest head but would be passable with everyone else in my group (except for a model delf/doll chateau hybrid that i don’t think i’m going to try to get anymore). i’m thinking about the xagadoll moon shadow boy body since it’s shaped the right way for her character and has broad enough shoulders to make the head look decently proportioned. the neck is kind of small so i would have to mod it, but i am planning on dying her hands, feet, and neck black/grey anyways so i would be able to disguise any questionable modding. i’m not sure if it’s my best bet since it’s kind of short and a taller body may make the proportions better but it’s the best i’ve found so far.

and if she doesn’t work out for yuki i still like the sculpt enough to keep trying things until she seems right :)

I haven't updated my incomings in forever as I procrastinated on getting bodies for all the obtained heads but .... I now got a ton of bodies, but also got two more pumpkins and needed more bodies (started buying bodies in August and just added a bit more the last days as a preorder I hoped to join didn't turn out... therfore bodies it was)

List of incoming is:

LenaRuiiz Pallu

Charmdoll 1/4 V1 Body (planned for Kanda but will now be Lavi's)

Myou 1/4 V3 Body - For Lenalee

Doll Family-h 1/5 Body - For Bookman

Withdoll Ian head - Additional head for Allen (for wigs and a little surprise I am planning)

Withdoll 1/4 body - For Sokrates

Peachydaydreams Viviane - one of the Pumpkins I got, the other arrived already

Gem of Doll 1/4 Body - For Kanda (it's a bit taller than the other, had Myou planned for one of them but .. too lanky)

DollyZone Cub Body - for my SleepySheepyDreams Batria head

Missing then is a body for Adam and a body for the Viviane head, then I am even again. OTL

I have one full doll on my list, but that one will be 2024 I guess, I just want to even out the head/body ratio again.

In the last months I didn't really have the mind to work on dolls, mainly bc stuff wasn't arriving or me in general being fed up of the hobby to a certain degree.

My goal is to start on at least Lavi's wig soon and then paint Adam & him to have them prepared for everything else.

Then I will start sewig for Allen first I guess. Yes of course his outfit need the upgrade and I need to make another wig for him as his hair is short now :') that's a reason I need the other head, I will not risk scratching the current face up.

Oh and snatched those fun resin blobs from Frappzilla.

Oh, you meant like in spa I plan to buy? Sorry, I haven't PLANNED buying a doll since ... well, a while.

Only exception being the Detective Conan dolls. Literally everyone else I've bought since 2020 was "Oh! Pretty 🤩"

I wanna talk about a new exciting art endeavor! Back when I started doll customizing, I tried to make some dolls to take with me to Disney while on a trip with my family. For those who don't know, I've fancied myself as a photographer for years now, long before I ever got into doll customs, and one of my favorite things to do is take photos when I travel. So it made sense to combine my loves on my last trip in 2019.

Well, I've always felt like I could do better than what I did last time, so I've been trying to figure out what to make for months, but nothing was coming to me. But I think I've finally got it!

Meet Mikaela Spellabrate! I've taken a lot of time to think this one through, and now I've got a week to make her happen. Here's what I'm thinking: we're gonna use a Cave Club doll for their small stature, that way she can fit easily in my bag. Also, these dolls have an easier time standing on their own than my other dolls, so that will make photos easier. To avoid her hair getting messed up, I'm opting for a curly look that's unraveled yarn rather than brushed out, then I can glue it in place. I have a mad love for afro puffs, and my thought is to make pompoms and then unravel the ends to get a similarly poofy look. It's not gonna be exact, but it should work well for this scale and make for some cute hair. Thrifting with my grandma this summer has also proven useful, we got this really cute kid's skirt that's all ruffles and purple with polka dots, and that's what inspired my palette. Because this is the 100th anniversary of Disney, they have all this merchandise that's purple and silver, so I'm going to adapt that to my doll. I knew there had to be polka dots, I LOVE some good dots, and it's very Minnie Mouse. Perfect for her dress! Also, I have not done pie cut eyes yet on a doll, but it is TIME to try it! I also love drawing on sprinkles for face paint, I've done it for like three dolls now and I'm not stopping any time soon, it's cute.

Really excited to make this happen! I just hope the weather cooperates. Truth is, it's a little too humid here for dolls in the summer, but I have an alternative sealant method I want to try, and this might be the doll I start with. I kind of want to run that test this week too, we'll see what we get through.

There's so much to do, I have a lot of cleaning to get done and other stuff to prep for, but it's okay. I'm really excited to make some art for this trip. It's the first time we're doing this as a family of seven. My sister's husband and my other sister's fiance are coming with us, and the fiance has never been to Disney World before. I'm hoping this will be a good experience for him, and that I can get to know him better. And also that he can handle our brand of crazy. X'''D It'll be good, there's a lot to look forward to!

So uh, this photo is legitimately nearly a decade old. I am putting it up here again because I am currently making Theda Rose, the doll shown, a new outfit(with color this time!) and planning a new faceup, and waiting on a new wig. She will look a bit different, but she already looks pretty different from she did in this early photo, so that’s okay.

She is also currently my character in a 5e Curse of Strahd campaign, where she is a reborn monk, and we’re doing the Death House intro section so she’s only level one still. I am going to update the doll to match the appearance of the character better.

I also also just made her a playlist. I thought I had done that before but apparently I was misremembering. Anyway if you’d like to enjoy Theda’s vibes in music form, here is a link.

I'm waiting for a Lo0ngsoul sculpt, so that I can buy a new body, and switch it between my older Lo0ngsoul doll. That character is supposed to be shorter, but I never dared mess with his ankle extenders, and I also like the new body. I just don't wanna buy just a body. So now I'm waiting, and wondering if I should get another guy from another company when I finally see a new LS sculpt I want.

I really really want to post about my grail and I will when I get her, I promise, but she doesn't even release until 2024 and like I said earlier the company is. volatile. 🙁 I haven't been interested in my other dolls much unfortunately, but I do want to get back into hobby stuff again, I've just hit a bit of a slump.

Once I get ob11 bodies for my nendoroids I might post them here I guess? And that one doll I had on layaway will get here... someday. She's a fullset so I'll be able to take pictures right away instead of waiting until I find the time to do custom stuff like with Jinx (I love her but I haven't had the time D: ) so maybe that will count for something.

I'll be rehoming my Resinsoul Spring soon, I need to figure out shipping methods and prices before I post her on DoA tho. I've never done this (sold a doll) before so I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Hope everyone is doing well and that the dolly gods are generous this holiday season!

What if instead of waking up in the mushroom body, sqq woke up in a doll.

Something something while lbh was away in the abyss, sqq without noticing offended a misterious (demonic-succubi-esque???) cultivator with a weird thing for making dolls. She had dolls all over her secret workshop that she very kindly let him into when she heard about the famous Xiu Ya sword being in the city.

What she wanted of him? Who knows, sqq couldn't bring himself to care. She probably wanted his money or try to steal his hair, the hair of those dolls seemed very much like real hair, although he had to admit the level of details on these dolls were amazing.

(she wanted to trick him into buying one of her cursed dolls and steal his life energy little by little, but got wifebeamed by widow sqq during their conversation about how talented she was to be able to make so many dolls, and without really understanding he rejected her with little to no emotion on his face)

So she cursed him, and since sqq didn't feel anything bad at the moment he thought it just didn't work and left, not sparing the curse a single thought after their encounter.

The rest of the story goes as usual, excep that after he self detonates his soul doesn't go into the mushroom body, instead it got directly into the shape of a doll in the workshop of this woman.

His first thought is thinking someone snitched the mushroom body bc wtf wasn't he supposed to wake up under the dirt??? Why this place smells slightly familiar? Like paint and humidity and floral perfumes?? and why everything looks fucking giganourmus?!?! A teapot should NOT look that big from his position....Oh no, did the mushroom body turned out as small as a squirrel? WhAT is happening?!

And then he looks at his arms and legs, and he has joints. White paper skin with joints in his wrists, elbows, torso, waist, knees, feet. And he panics, a lot.

The woman who cursed him starts monologuing about how she trapped him now, and you are mine, I made this doll specially for you master shen, this is my revenge for your insolence to leave me yada yada- Sqq stoped listening a while ago.

Somehow he manages to escape from this woman and now he is roaming around as the size of some apples. Everything is huge. Everything is dangerous, even the grasshopers! And this body is fragile! He can't feel heat nor cold, neither hunger or other things, but he is useless with no spiritual veins inside, and if someone is not looking carefully, they might crush him. And the way back to cq is gonna be a hell of a trip! But he needs airplane to fix this. He can't stay as a doll forever! He needs a mushroom body and then fly into the sunset far from this mess! Adiós! Goodbye! So his new plan is to infiltrate into cang qiong, look for that rat and disappear. Sneaking into some disciple's pouch must be enough to break in.

Something something it only had passed a few months since lbh stole sqq's body and everything is still very fresh. CQ mountain is a hot mess. Sqh frankly needs to lay down and take a nap. Lqg keeps figthing with Lbh practially every day and coming back beaten bloody, he has his king pestering him and a lot of paperwork to do, Lbh is a pain in the ass, Yqy is really close to snap and start a war with HHP, and he knows nothing about his bro. So yeah. Such a great time to be alive.

The mushroom bodies should had been ready, right? He must be alright...Yeah. He has enough already to keep him busy. Cucumber bro is gonna come out and stumble across at any moment. No one would bat an eye if he takes a nap, right? He deserves it. He is overworked enough for another lifetime, his head hurts, his bones hurt everywhere, a short nap should be fine...

Until he feels something small tugging his robes and a cold tiny finger poking his eyelids. But he doesn't want to. He is very comfortable on the floor of his office. Whatever bird decided to pick a fight with his face can keep trying.

"AIRPLANE, WAKE UP, YOU HACK! I NEED YOU TO FIX THIS! WHY IS A WITCH WITH ANACHRONISTIC HAUNTED DOLLS IN THIS NOVEL? THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"

That voice. That fucking annoying voice was of just one person and one person only. He opened his eyes, looking for the source of the unmistakable voice of his No1 hater, but he came across with a pretty porcelain doll. With a very ugly sneer in it's face.

"W-Wha-?...Bro-?!"

"Fucking finally! Why are you sleeping on the floor in your ofice?! I was looking around your bedroom like an idiot! Do you know how close I was to falling from your window?!"

A couple of doll plans I have brewing.

1: LT Craft head on a resinsoul shan body, with taobao hands I picked up second hand(huhuhu). Dyed over all light pink, but black hooves/horns and arm gradients.

2: Logan dolls head, fairyland tan legs, and a resinsoul Li upper torso modded the fuck out to fit the legs(expecting copious amount of superfine white milliput). Head and torso in white, probably color match the ears to the legs.
