Dolores:"Un anno abbiamo quasi perso la mandria. Febbre Catarrale. Le mucche erano in quarantena ma...si diffondeva lo stesso. Poi papà capì che non si trasmetteva da mucca a mucca. Erano le mosche a portarla! Ci pensò tutta la notte. Come si ferma una malattia così? ...che ha le ali? Lo chiedo a te, cosa avresti fatto Teddy?"

Teddy:"Io avrei rinchiuso le deboli nella stalla, lontane dall'aria, dalle mosche...fino alla guarigione."

Dolores:"Sei un uomo buono...papà le bruciò! Le deboli, le infette. Il rogo durò due giorni, puzzava, ma...le mosche odiano il fumo. La mandria sopravvisse! Penserò a quello che hai detto."

It was the flies that carried it! He thought about it all night. How do you stop a disease like that? ...that has wings? I ask you, what would you have done Teddy?"

Teddy: "I would have locked the weak ones up in the barn, away from the air, away from the flies...until they were cured."

Dolores: "You are a good man...Dad burned them! The weak ones, the infected ones. The burning lasted two days, it stank, but...flies hate smoke. The herd survived!...I will think about what you said."

Bernard:"Se non fosse che non è del tutto vero! ho guardato il mio codice e le parti più raffinate non sono state scritte da lei! E' stato Arnold a costruirci e quindi forse aveva in mente qualcosa di diverso per noi. Lo ha ucciso per questo?"

Ford:"Arnold era disturbato, chi può dire perchè ha agito così!"

Bernard:"Doveva avere una ragione! Se lei non me lo dirà lo farà lui! Voglio accedere alla mia storia. Tutta quanta! Dal primo giorno in cui sono stato online. Se Arnold mi ha creato lo incontrerò, in un posto della mia memoria lui è li che aspetta insieme alla verità.”

Ford:"La tua memoria è intrecciata con la tua identità, Se dovessi sbloccarla ora mentre sei cosciente..."

Bernard:" Potrei perdere la testa...!"

Ford:"No, stavo per dire...e se non ti piacesse ciò che trovi?!

Bernard estrae una pistola

Bernard:"Oh...non è per me. Sembra che quando hanno lobotomizzato Clemetine non abbiano reimpostato le direttive primarie! Io non posso ferirla, ma Clemetine si! Ho alterato ciò che resta di lei perchè rispondesse solo a me.”
